"Well, I can see why... that would ruin the surprise at the end, no?" She rested her right arm above the top of her chair as she slouched back and leaned against the chair, adjacent wrist flickering as she explained her statement. "I'm sure the reasoning will probably be vaguely addressed later or whatever, because if people knew now what they were fighting for, and why they were here, then they probably wouldn't freakin' fight; which makes perfect sense to me." Her wrist continued to rotate, fingers wriggling as she spoke in a gruff-like voice. In her head, she sounded just about right, and her justification of the tournament being 'mysterious' seemed correct, so she shrugged her shoulders slightly. Maybe her words hadn't exactly done her a favor, but Shirio should at least be able to comprehend where she was going with her opinion.
"Strange powers? New species? Hmph, maybe I ought to take a little stroll down there -- when I have time, or patience... something." She raised a brow, lips pursing into a straight, expressionless line across her face. Maybe something could be learned there, or she could even seek tranquility. Who knows!
Though, what information that did catch her utmost attention was the sudden discovery of Shinigami Captains being present within the tournament! "Oh yeah?" She averted her gaze off of Shirio to the white-haired man she was watching earlier, noting that the child had departed. "Was that female with him, too?" She asked about the child, blinking a bit. She gave him a look-over again, huffing. "He doesn't look like a threat, honestly. Who's the other captain of those darned Shinigami, eh?" She inquired, head extended back as a smile formed upon her lips, cockily sprawled about against the chair.
The old Akuhei was quickly regrouping! Sort of.
Still, she needed food to recover, and as she patiently waited with the aid of the conversation, she wanted to know more about Shirio. "So, have you fought yet? I'm assuming you're on my 'team', making you one of the same as me, right? Tell me about yourself." She commanded slightly, amber stare once again pinned upon his frame.
"Thanks, lucky shot I suppose. I do, but... I'm too lazy to recall right now." She snorted, brow still raised from before.
Loads of questions, hopefully produced loads of answers!

Listening to Akuhei's defense for the hosts, Shirio could see that it did make sense. Making sure that the contestants had as little information as possible would be a good way to egg them on in the tournament. It would also be a good way to the contestants under control by putting them at a large disadvantage intelligence wise. Knowing that he had nothing to gain by keeping any secrets especially if Malik was one of the contestants, Shirio went over the facts that he knew in his head. "Actually the girl was with us. She apparently knows our other teammate. The captain who she was talking to is tougher than he looks. As for the second one it's Malik." Shirio quietly responded so Katsu wouldn't overhear them. "I can't say that I have fought anyone outside of our preliminary fight." Shirio replied to Akuhei's question. Both of his allies had won their fights so there wasn't any need for him to fight. Although that might change during the second round. As for telling Akuhei about himself, Shirio wondered what he could say. He had lived a long life and he did have a lot of stories as a result. Deciding to go with a simplified version Shirio said, "Well despite my appearance I am pretty old. I've spent a good portion of my life as a grunt and even more time leading other lower ranked men. I could go into specifics although that would take more time than we have."Editted due to an RP error.

His food was done, his drink was gone, and it was time to move on. He had a bit more information than he'd had before, but less than Malik would want. The man wasn't satisfied until he knew everything there was to know about a given situation. Besides, there was nothing to gain here...or so he thought. As he stood and picked up his sword, he noticed the same man from before, who had been with the fellow that had healed he and Malik. The man was speaking with a red headed person in hushed tones, and he smirked a bit. Sauntering over to the table, he pulled up a chair and plopped himself down to Shirio's immediate left. "I guess this place attracts all sorts...either of you had your fights yet?"

She keenly listened, nodding as he spoke, "Do you know who the little girl is, exactly?" She directly asked him, twitching at the mention of an awfully familiar name. "Did he just say... Malik?" She mused, lips curling into a definitive snarl as she uttered a low growl from her lips; which probably couldn't be distinguished much from the churning howls of her stomach. However, under the table, which her left hand now resided, that extremity clenched, causing her hand to form a trembling fist. Words need not be said to describe the meaning of her gesture, as it was enough to symbolize her general dislike of that man -- since, well, he didn't enjoy her bullying of trees back in the day.
"Heh, old fart." She snorted immaturely whilst listening, eyes quickly glancing over to the approaching figure. Her fist unclenched and that limb dangled to her side, as her persona of a male returned. When he sat down, 'Ping' casually looked nonchalant as 'he' asked, "Fight? I'm a spectator." He lied, wondering if the chum would pick it up as truth.
Hell, if that was the case, then kudos to Akuhei for stumping a fool.

"Sadly I don't. Although we should try to find out." Shirio said to Akuhei. Beginning to muse on his own experiences with Malik, Shirio couldn't say that he had met the man face to face. However Shirio knew enough about his stance towards vizards to be worried. Plus he had wiped the floor with the arrancar in his match which said a lot about how powerful he was.
Snapped out of his musings by Akuhei's comment, Shirio couldn't help but give a chuckle. About to tell her how he was older, Shirio was interupted when Katsu came to the table and sat down. Giving a shrug as his response, Shirio didn't want to blow Akuhei's cover so he decided to change the subject by asking, "You seem a bit hungry. Do you want to order something to eat?

It seemed there wasn't any information to be gained by asking questions of the two so he sighed as he ran his hand through his wild white hair then stood and wandered off. Akuhei wasn't far behind. The question posed by Katsu had made her jumpy and the thought of food was making her queasy again. "No thanks," she snapped before she left Shirio all on his own.
Katsu exited as per the 24 hour rules. Akuhei exited as per Court's absence notice and the ending of the tourney coming.

Giving a sigh as both Akuhei and Katsu left rathe abruptly, Shirio looked at his food. Deciding that he might as well eat while he could, Shirio went on to eat his meal alone. Once he was finished, Shirio then payed for the meal and went on his way.
