It was a markedly unpleasant experience, the scene of her father falling repeating itself over and over in her dreams, even though she saved him from the infection that threatened to take him and the rest of the Rukongai. The situation did bring her to the attention of Hitoshi Harupia, the Taichou of her Division, and with it the pangs of mild infatuation; his constant praise and confidence in her skills, along with a personal interest in her growth, had not only secured her position within the Division as a Twentieth Seat, but had won the way her heart as well.

He finds testing his mind rather thrilling more than anything else, even in battle. He tends to stray away from large crowds as they are too loud for his liking, though he flocks to small groups. He always has a high dislike of ignorance regardless of who it's coming from. He uses a facade of weakness in battle and will carry out said facade throughout an entire battle, using strategy to essentially make an opponent beat themselves before dealing a fatal blow to them. This is because of the abilities of his Zanpakutou which are more supplementary than anything. [/font]

[font color="#9933FF"]1726 n.w. – Zane is born in District One to Feirra and Toshiiro Valentine along with his twin brother; Leon Valentine.
 1736 n.w. – Zane’s shy and anti-social personality gets him picked on and beat up. Zane begins to use rocks and other items to increase his weight to train with while running. He then removes the rocks and items when he goes around his bullies in order to outrun them.
 1738 n.w. – Toshiiro and Feirra are killed in their home and are found by their sons. The two boys are told that this as a result of a hollow attack, but rumors swirl around that this was, in fact, a lie.
 1739 n.w. – One year following the death of their parents, Leon departs from Rukongai and abandons Zane, leaving him to fend for himself.
 1740 – 1760 n.w. – Now alone, Zane casts away his family's last name and begins to use his mother's maiden name of Grinpiers. He is picked on again, but now the bullies become more violent when they beat up Zane. Zane begins to train in Hand-to-hand combat, using a tree near his house for practice.
 1763 n.w. – Three years following the start of his training, Zane begins picking fights and beating bullies up for many years to come.
 1830 n.w. – After nearly a century of fighting with the bullies of Rukongai, Zane discontinues fighting. He shifts his focus toward training and studying, deciding to prepare to become a member of the Gotei. His resources are limited so his studies don’t go far.
 1900 n.w. – After another seven decades, Zane is accepted into the Gotei, being placed in the 1st Division as an unseated member.[/font]
 [font color="#FFFFFF"]1910 n.w. – Zane met Brain, Watson Yoshiya (Who was never identified by Zane) and Third Division Lieutenant, Natsukoi Sumie. During this encounter, Zane assisted Sumie and Yoshiya in dealing with Brain’s heatstroke. [/font]
 [font color="#9933FF"]1930 n.w. – Zane picks back up on his studies from one hundred years prior, studying various things known to Shinigami.
 1950 n.w. – Zane resumes his training and begins to question himself when he hears a voice in his head. After several similar encounters, Zane learns that it is his Zanpakutō spirit speaking to him and, soon after, learns how to release it. This and the steady improvement in his skills gets Zane placed at the 20th seat of the 1st Division.
 1963 n.w. – Zane continues to show improvement and the ability to work well within the Division, allowing him to be promoted to 16th seat.
 1975 n.w. – Zane only further improves, working his way up the ranks steadily, making it to the 13th seat.[/font]
 [font color="FFFFFF"]1980 n.w. – Zane encounters Watson Yoshiya for a second time (Still never identified), Sui Torako and Hitoshi Harupia. The encounter was brief and was simply for Zane to assist the Second Division Taicho if a fight broke out after an incident involving snowballs.[/font]
 [font color="#9933FF"]1986 n.w. – Zane decides to get the middle of his bottom lips pierced and, later in the year, takes to wearing a mask over his mouth. The reasons behind either of these is still a mystery.[/font][font color="FFFFFF"]Later in the year, Zane encounters the draconic Hollow, Kurohime Kurai. After the encounter, the two share a bond and refer to each other as siblings
 1995 n.w. – In the summer of this year, Zane encounters the Arrancar, Andra, who beats the hell out of him. He is later saved by the Rukon, Sengoku and kicked by his own comrade, Akegata. In the fall of that year, Zane encounters the Shinigami Anémos and the Rukons Ubaga and Jerax. Due to suspicions, Zane and Anémos follow the Rukon, but it’s short lived when they escape and Anémos abandons Zane in the Rukongai.[/font]
 [font color="#9933FF"]2000 n.w. – Zane gets promoted to the 1st Division’s 10th seat. The long delay stems from Zane’s slow and lazy pace at improving his own self as well as his questionable psyche and anger issues. His depression had worsened suddenly and caused him to regress back to an anti-social, lazy person who put little effort toward his work. When he finally rebounded, a random angry streak took place of his depression and he snapped at other members at random as well as overly beating up criminals. Zane took several years, but finally stabilized and returned to his original regimen, earning the 10th seat soon after. He continues to do so and studies regularly in order to progress further in his Division.[/font][font color="FFFFFF"]At some point in the year, Zane was an observer of Andra’s death within the Rukongai. He also took part in the invasion of the Rukongai where he saved Hotaru from a creature after the woman saved his own life. After the event took place, Zane headed for the Second Division barracks to check on Tanaka Malik, whom Zane was escorting to the area, but the man insisted on going on his own. Zane discovered he was in good condition and departed.
 Present time – Zane is part of a mission to return peace between the Seireitei and the Rukongai along with Miyamoto Kanade. Zane was separated from the group when reaching the Rukongai and fell into battle of the Hollow invasion where Zane, with much assistance from Kiba, eliminated a large snake-like Hollow.[/font]

[font color="9966FF"]Born in the Rukongai's 1st district to good parents and a twin brother, life couldn't be much better for Zane. It was too good to be true though as he was picked on as a child and even lost his parents, his brother abandoning him soon after. The only solution was to become stronger and strike back against those who aimed to hurt him or was it? After so long, he realized that this was not the answer and lead a life to better himself. He became a member of the Gotei and even learned to use a Zanpakutou, but this could only distract him for so long. Soon the depression took over again and when it faded, anger came. The problems were to the point that he was almost released from the Gotei, but he accepted his problems and decided to work on them rather than suppress them, but how long can he do that? [/font]

The two get along rather well, but Zane is not immune to Shi's flirtatious nature. She does not hesitate to interrupt Zane's day to flirt with him at any given moment which tends to be random. Zane tends to let this go as the last time he ignored her, she changed from flirting with him to cussing him out for three full days. [/font]

It appears as a large secluded room with a small stage with a curtain draped behind it. The rest of the room looks like a music room in a cave and has multiple instruments strewn throughout it. The sheathe is black with specs of gold on it, the hilt is grey and the guard is golden and circular. I know you're aware of this, but a ball python is not among the pets available for purchase at a price of 100 gold; as it stands, the list is something that will be looked at and possibly revised in the future, but for now, that's not going to fly.

In my own defense, neither is a deer or a ferret, both of which have been previously approved, and Cain has told me previously that stretching the rules is a thing, as I did with Jaga's size and the site's limitations. I really don't see why it's an issue, honestly. It's not like it affects anything mechanically.

I've already discussed this with Cain, and we're telling you -- for the second time, in Cain's case -- that this will be looked at in the future, not today. It's a possibility the list will be reworked to permit ball pythons at a later date, but the rules won't be stretched this time.

This isn't up for discussion in the Moderator Request thread. Feel free to toss a PM our way, or post in the more appropriate Member Involvement thread, but it's best to be patient.
