[bgcolor=000000]He had been watching this man's body language for a time (well for the little while they had been speaking for anyways), and he was starting to get an understanding of him, or so he believed. This Kaito was uneasy and a liar. And those wrappings on his face, along with the sword at his hip.. He had not meet many Rukon Citizens since they departed, this was true, but for some reason he couldn't fathom, he doubted this one was one of them. However without proof, he could not act.
Besides, what if he were wrong? Stories would spread and any future relations between the Rukongai and Shinigami would be forever a tarnished and unreachable dream. No, Malik would just have to see if this one slipped up and proved the Taicho right.
Smirking, he turned his back on Ryuu and firmly placed his hips on his side and gave Kurisuna and head shake. "As if I would ever conceive such a burden. The chances of it are so high I dare now speak of the odds! His eyes would turn to stone then, and he would mouth a silent warning to his Fukutaicho. 'Be careful.'
He trusted Kurisuna had sharp instincts and doubted she would act before he would. As such, he assumed she could see Malik was on edge about something and surely she would get the gist of the silent message.
Smiling brightly afterward, he took two large paces and turned on a heel so he could see both the Fukutaicho and Ryuu in full and then laughed a bit as he cupped the back of his head. "You know, I forgot to bring flowers for the second grave I wished to visit." He forced his cheeks to turn a soft shade of pink (imaging a rather graphic image to do just that, of whom he would dare not announce so neither shall I) and then laughed again, sounding sheepishly embarrassed. All the while unaware he was being watched by another set of eyes.
