note: takes place in the spring of 1963
It was a lovely day in the early spring. Birds were singing, a gentle breeze was blowing, clouds were dancing across the sky. Flowers of all colors and species were blooming, sakura trees were budding, and all was well this glorious day in the park. A certain white-haired shinigami, fresh from a stressful round within her division, had placed herself beneath a large, shady tree, and seemed to be immersed within the folds of a rather large tome. Occasionally, the soft scritch-scritch-scritch of a quill on parchment could be heard over the breeze as it wafted to and fro. The young shinigami was taking notes, so it seemed, or perhaps correcting an error, or adding in an entire new section; whichever her charge, she fully dove in, oblivious to all her surroundings.
The day had been stressful, as it was the first time Mai had been left alone, to her own devices, assisting a rather cantankerous medic. He, true to his reputation, was demanding and short-tempered, and had often demoralized many other apprentices to the point of mental breakdowns. As one of the newer members of the Second Division, Mai had drawn the short straw (on more than one occasion), but had always been assisting an assistant. Not the case this day, however, as her companion had suddenly developed a rather sudden and nasty bout of gastrointestinal distress, and had departed quicker than the sly fox he was. Leaving the poor Tanaka child all alone to deal with the demeaning, verbal abuse, and slights regarding her figure or her name or her age and appearance, in ways both direct and implied.
You there! Girl! Bring me that towel.
No, the other one! Dimwitted child, now get out of my sight! He would say, or scream, and then demand her appearance several moments later with some new tool or material required for the task at hand; and due to her status, a mere unseated, untested recruit, she could not explain (or as she wanted, to tell him off) or ask that he treat her a bit more kindly -- she had once witnessed a similar situation with a younger male; she had yet to see him again after the breakdown he endured -- lest she suffer a similar fate. She swallowed her pride, a very painful task for the proud daughter of the SouTaichou, and scurried about, dodging used materials and ignoring the majority of the things said about her; try as she might, her ability to ignore such things was incapable of blocking all out, and her obsessive mind picked up on the few that seeped past the defense.
As soon as she could, she fled to the safety of the parks and beneath the expansive, shady tree, utensils in tow. Unwilling to let her emotions escape, she bottled them in, a swallow harder than that of her pride, and forced them out on paper. A tenuous task the purge was, experiences bleeding out of the quill like blood to a wound, pale hand flying over the parchment and smearing the still-wet ink; this invasion of her cleanliness (now a violent necessity after her encounter in the rukongai some twelve years ago) was slightly acceptable, as the reward for the release outweighed the compulsion to remain clean. There was a cloth and an empty bowl nearby, though, should the compulsions manage to swap priorities.
Scritch, scritch, scritch.

Ah, early spring. The time of the year where the climate is cooler than the summer yet warmer than the winter, but unlike autumn, it's not as.. orange and brown. Early spring, or spring in general (before the heat kicks in) was Tenba Gensou's favorite season of the year. It was the time of the year where flowers bloomed, animals appeared and.. generally things changed quickly. The cold and dead landscapes transformed from the winter into a wonderful place to be, and this could be noticed in several people, as the park was the place where everyone would go.
And so would Gen too. She decided to spend some free time in this.. park. She even packed a bag of sorts. Filled with various items needed for the day. An empty notebook, some charcoal pens, sweet and sour stuff and what appeared to be a bottle of milk. Huh. That's weird to most people. But to Gen? No.
She walked slowly around the place, searching around for the perfect spot to sit. Out in the sun? No. Over there? No. The only place that really seemed available that looked good was a large shady tree over at one direction. But someone was already sitting there. But lucky for Gen, it was a large tree, and therefore, any of the other sides would be ideal to sit at. She approached the tree where the "someone" was already sitting. A young girl, of course taller than Gen, with white hair... (White hair? What is this, a fictional story?), was the one who sat there.
Instead of being a nice person and greeting her, she walked right past her, taking a seat at the left side of the tree, as she began pulling out her stuff, glancing at the stranger on occassions.

Mai did not notice the person stride by, sit down, or even hear her make noise; she was entirely entranced by her task at hand, secluded from the world by the satiny mane granted to her by her father and her own unwillingness to pay attention to her surroundings. Gradually, the scritchings of her quill died down as she completed her entry, and the softest sounds of breath blowing the smudged ink dry died in the gentle breeze; her somewhat contended sigh, however, as she leaned back against the trunk of the tree, was not swallowed up by the rustle of leaf and petal.
Still, she did not notice the stranger's glances -- violet eyes had closed in the bathing, intermingled shade and light of the sunshine and breeze, and her face had turned itself toward those gentle caresses. Serenely impassive, Mai sat beneath the tree, almost as though asleep; her breathing was too regulated, too controlled for this to be a fact: every few breaths were a forced exhale, the kind that meditation required for the most effective results.

It was a nice summer morning, the sun was shinning brightly in the sky.The birds were singing there tune they away's seemed to do in the early hour's of the morning. In the fifth division sleeping area, in the Fukutaicho's division room, there Taisho was laying in his bed. After a few moments he would get out of bed noticing his skin was not as tanned as he liked. He would let out a low growl angry about it. He had to go out and get a better tan, he was really to pale, Even though if a pale man did stand beside him, he would look like a snow pile beside pile of dirt.
After a while looking at him self in a glass mirror he would grab his shinigami robes and quickly get dressed, He would flex once in the mirror making sure his muscles did the talking. The large man smiled very glad he was not disappointment about his body form.
Once he was finally dressed he grabbed his sword and sheathed it on his left hip, keeping it very firm on his side. He one last time looked at his form again. He liked this open robe, it showed off his amazing figure.
After a few minutes he would find him self walking in a park. There he noticed two young women. He wouldn't really talk to either of them he choose to act he didn't even see them. He would stop about a good 30 feet away from the two ladies and sit down, crossing his legs, he would bring his hands back leaning on them allowing the sun beaming down on his bare chest.

We had everything all set to go! We had the notebook with the pen, the white beverage which contents were made up of milk and sugar, and the sweet and sour stuff, of course. Gen grabbed the notebook and charcoal pen, and began looking out at everyone. Things to write.. things to do.. those were some of the stuff she casually wrote down. For instance, she happened to spot a couple of random stray cats chasing down a rather fat white dog, attacking it. With haste, she wrote things down as they happened, the text messier and messier. But that was okay, since they were only NOTES. Why did she take notes? Who knows.
However, Gen could not help to notice the white haired girl stopping her scribbling and entered some sort of.. sleeping stage?... meditation?.. Casually, the tiny girl leaned out and turned her head to the girl, staring at her with her yellow eyes with a rather puzzled mind. Observing her now, she seemed rather.. strange? Was Gen going to ask what she was doing? And if, what was she going to say?
I-It's not like she wanted to talk to her or anything. It was just to make sure she was okay. That's all.
"... Hey.. you alive there?"

Mai entered her own world once her breathing regulated; a gentle spring, a single tree, a bubbling creek. Once upon a time, or several decades ago, she had discovered the trick of mind over matter via meditation, and had since been dependent on it to calm her emotions; after all, a rampaging Mai was something she did not want to be (despite what Malik might would appear to imply). This simple exercise of hers took the bad and sent it downstream, literally removing it from her mind so that it no longer bothered her.
Today's experience with the medic had been disastrous enough to bring it out of hiding, and with each controlled breath, she sent an aspect of his memory down the creek; even as her emotions rose as she recalled the experience, she maintained an iron grip on her breathing. As the last of the worst washed away, a timid voice broke through the barrier, distorted in the way only minds can create. A shudder tore through Mai's core, breaking the fantasy, forcing her eyes to snap open and a breathless shriek bubbled from her pale lips. Oh, how she had been startled!

Off in his own little world all ready as he soaked in the nice hot sun. There Taisho sat taking in the warm sun on his body. He forgot his suntanning oil at his office so he couldn't lather him self with the vanilla smelling lotion to keep his skin super shiny and perfect. So he just sat there not really caring about the two young women who weren't that far apart. Perhaps friends or even two shinigami who work together. Ah why did it really matter, his body was more important then talking to silly children. His body came first, the image it carried with it as well.
As the sun shined a little brighter it hit a sweet spot as you may call it, as sweat came down the middle of his chest the sun hit that spot so bright it started to glare, the sun ray would slam right into poor Mai's eyes as she opened them. Just hopefully she was not blinding by light..But the image of the muscle man Taisho who spread him self no more then 30 feet away.

SHHHHRRRRRIIIIIEEEEEKKKK!!
HOLYMOTHEROFWHAT-! With that, Gen also got startled, flying backwards and out of the cool shade of the tree, the sun hitting her eyes as she got temporarily blinded by it. What was the girl so scared for?... oh, meditation. Right. Gen sat up, however, the blinding effect didn't stop quite yet. However, she had to play it cool however. Screaming out loud would only add to the image of "young tiny girl" as being.. "immature little runt."
"Hey! Why did you.. scream so loud?"
Gen was not too happy about falling back however, the precious milk had been spilled all over her notes. But there's no use crying over spilled milk. Or so I heard. But good thing she decided to use Charcoal. Ink would have just destroyed everything.

"You-you startled me," Mai whispered through steepled fingers, which had risen to clamp over her mouth in an attempt to quell the raucous voice breaking out. She blinked violently, contorting her shoulders to the best of her ability to get rid of that sudden, invasive glint off some shiny surface; unsuccessful, she twisted herself to face the one who had startled her, slender hands dropping to help push her body into a more stable sitting position, and hopefully remove that rude sunglare.
"Are you okay?" she asked after a quick regard; the blue-haired girl had flung herself out of the shade, after all. Unfortunately, the glare that had affected them both was too troublesome to ignore, and without waiting for an answer from Gen, Mai looked toward the source, hand once more raised to block that obtrusive glare.

Ahh,such a nice, sunny day. It felt real nice to finally get out of his office...in any form really. The first years of his Tenure as Taicho had been pretty hectic, given the sudden nature of his father's departure. Lots of paper work, dealing with requests and complaints, and his drive to help and heal people just as much as before if not more...quite a bit of work on his head. Still not as bad as his punishment years...but it took time to get used to, and it didn't offer much in the area of free time. But today, he didn't have much office work, and the situation in the hospital itself was fine as well, with no patient being in a truly bad state. While he liked to keep an eye personally on everything, he did trust the other medics to be able to handle themselves for the most part. So a little lunch break in the park wouldn't hurt.
And so as the young captain was happily norming on rice ball's and pieces of fish, he enjoyed the nice warm weather, though his mind slightly drifting to the hospital. Not really worried about the patients, but more about the members of the Division. Some of the younger, unseated members had been whispering about one of the medic's being a bit to harsh on them. Granted, some complaining wasn't something all that rare in any workplace, he assumed at least, but this medic had been brought up rather consistently...he guessed he would need to have chat with the fellow. He believe in being harsh when necessary, but there had to be a balance between being harsh and understanding.
These thoughts had been interrupted as he heard a rather loud, feminine scream coming somewhere from behind him. Turning around he did notice two women sitting under a rather large tree...perhaps one of them was stabbed and bleeding out under it? Maybe a Hollow emerged? A vicious bee had assaulted them? He couldn't be quite sure what was the cause, but all of them (even if the last was a slight joke in his mind* could require medical aid. Getting stung in the throat is nothing to laugh at.
So he made haste there, leaving behind his food bundle and the small blanket he was using to sit on the grass, his Haori ruffling slightly with his quick step as he made his way there, and once he was close enough to be heard he said "Stay calm now, I'm a medic, now what ha...Ohh, hello Mai-Chan. What happened here? Did anyone get hurt?" he concluded with slight surprise, looking between the familiar division member, and the other, blue Haired girl he had no real recollection of. They both seemed relatively fine...and there were no visible threat's in sight. Including the bee's.

The heat on his body was truly a wonder full thing, Taisho really didn't really care what was going around him at the time. Silly people getting bothered by very little details. Yes he was causing a glare, but just think about it, The glare was coming off a manly figure so who really cared.
He would sit him self up, placing his hands on his lap. His eyes would open to notice there was three people and one of them was giving him a glare, or was it that something got in her eyes. He wasn't to sure, he brought up his right hand and waved to the young ladies not really noticing the male that much. He was into pretty ladies anyway..screw men.
Once he waved he went back to sun bathing, going back int his own little world he let out a low breath, enjoying the sun once again trying to block out anyone who was looking over his way. Some people were rude always staring.

Still suffering from the blinding effects of the sun, Gensou could only make out silhouettes of the people around her, as now, another person is next to them. The... male? voice, was nice sounding, might be someone you can trust. She moved her small hands up to rub her eyes, trying to see again under the sun, as she replied to them both with a single answer.
"I.. can't really see too well at the moment. I think the sun blinded me temporarily as I fell backwards out into the sunlight."
She shook her head a bit, and continued.. "I didn't mean to startle you. I just.. wanted to see if you were okay. That's all. Not like I care about you.. or anything.", Gensou said, with a rather hesitant voice. It was a mix of a cold and serious attitude, but with a hint of sympathy thrown in.

Mai rose to her feet at the taichou's arrival, think that his height would block out the sun and being respectful at the same time; unfortunately, the two were near in height, and the glare was not lessened one bit. Keeping the dismay to herself, she nodded. "Yes, sir. We had a...moment."
She wasn't about to admit weakness to her captain, no siree. Flashing an emotionless smile towards Gensou, by way of apology, Mai's gaze squinted in the sunlight; as her head returned toward Harupia's direction, she caught sight of a...wave? Yes, a wave: the glare fluctuated with the motion, she was sure of it. The man who had waved was the source of this dreadful glare...how could anyone be so cruel, blinding poor, defenseless park-goers in such heinous fashion?
Newfound determination emboldened Mai, who bent down to gather her belongings. "If you'll excuse me," she said, clutching the vial of ink close to her chest, as though to protected it. "I must go tidy myself up." Her shihakushou was a wrinkled mess, and she herself was in a right state of unkemptness, with the bits of grass and the sweat...uych.
The unseated edged through the small group, ducking her head in a slight bow to excuse herself, and made her way toward the evildoer thwarting her brilliant afternoon; as she walked, long strides closing the distance with relative ease, she worked on the bottle of ink. It would do no good for her to trip and send that brand new, just opened bottle of the blackest ink she could buy on her meager salary flying across the park, now would it? If only that glare would go away!

Ahh,the good ole sun glare. That wasn't really dangerous... as far as he was aware. It would be kind of a silly way to get seriously injured...then again one could turn blind because of something like that... but it seemed there was nothing bleeding or broken, so all was well. After the blue haired girl spoke, he would say "Well,, you should be fine in a few seconds...though you notes weren't as lucky..." commenting over the milk split over the pieces of paper... As far Mai, after turning around back to him she would excuse herself, wanting to go and clean herself up. Nodding as she walked of he said " Of course, of course, take all the time you need...Hey, I didn't notice him there...guess sunbathing is a pretty nice idea on a day like this..." he concluded, noticing Taisho in the background, before he would look up at the sun, covering his forehead a bit to block of the deadly rays. Such a nice day,and yet, one needed to be alert of natural hazards, haha. But as he watched her walk away, a sudden though had dawned upon him. The herb shipment...there were some kind of irregularities with it and he needed to sort it out! Well, forgetting that was not a good idea...turning to the blue haired girl he said "Erm, pardon me, I just remember I had something VERY important to do back in my Division... I'm sure Mai will help you if you still need any attention!" before he would run back to his office. God damn paper work... Edited for exit due to absence

Sorry for the late reply, Been busy so haven't had the time to jump on here and post Taisho would sit back up looking at the group, He would this time take more notice of the male. He had lovely hair, Taisho would have to ask him at some point what hair products he used. Rubbing his chin lightly as he thought over what products that man could be using he was lost in thought not really noticing the Tanaka girl walking towards him. After a few seconds he had finally noticed her coming at him, Racking a hand threw his hair slowly he would tilt his head to the side looking at the young lady. She was pretty, but she looked some what angry...or upset...or sad..Couldn't really read her. She wasn't like her captain who was crazy perhaps. He would slowly stand up showing off his massive height. " Why hello there little miss"

A simple, hardly even seated, member of the fourth division cautiously made his way into the large park. The blooming flowers and cool breeze gave the area a serene feel to it. Despite all the commotion a little ways from him. He made sure to keep some distance between him and the small group, standing under one of the sakura trees to be exact. Once he was sure he had some elbow room, he drew one of his swords, the yellow and silver one to be exact, and did some practise swings. Nothing fancy, just some horizontal and vertical swings to get a good feel of it. I'm no good where I am now. Need to push ahead.
He was rather focused on what he was doing, and would likely not notice any voices around him. Someone walking by him would be different of course. One may ask why he had chosen to come to a park to get some training done, but the answer was simply because he liked the atmosphere.

[bgcolor=0F4D92]"Wait! What? Uh. Okay."
Things went by so fast. The white haired girl had gone away, and the gentle-sounding man too. Did she scare them off? Whatever the problem were, Gensou's vision has slowly but surely returned, the sight of milk over ruined paper being the first thing to greet her. Not just that, some of the white liquid had hit her clothing too, a feeling that just got felt on her arms. She pulled her arms in at first, and pushed down the sides of the shihakushou, revealing what was underneath, her small torso, that was mostly wrapped in bandages.
"Gee.. sure is nice of her to help me fix this mess.", Gen told herself, adding a hint of sarcasm to the tone as she looked around for the strange girl. And that was when she spotted what could very well be.. the ugliest man in Seireitei. Gen found nothing appealing about the man, who was apparently taking a sun bath at the park. She then saw the white haired girl, moving on over. What was going on exactly? ... Could it be? She only read about this in books, and frankly, this is some straight up stuff from romance novels.
"Love at first sight..? With that guy?"

Each step Mai took gave her courage, something she didn't really need considering her temper, to politely tell this man to cover himself in the presence of her taichou; a task that required a great deal more tact than she currently possessed. She steeled herself, squared her shoulders, and set her face into that carefully constructed mask she used to persuade patients. A deep breath to set things in motion --
The sun gleaning off his chest as he rose caught Mai full in the face, causing her to grimace instantly and hunch down to protect her fair skin. The distance between the two, fairly short to begin with, had lessened considerably with her lengthy strides, and the few remaining feet had done absolutely nothing to lessen the appalling brightness. Her momentum shifted, feet catching over one another, and she stumbled forward, nearly colliding into the beast before her; she threw out her (mostly) unburdened arm to righten her balance, momentarily forgetting the full bottle of expensive ink she had clutched to her bosom and unintentionally sending it careening on a collision course with Taisho's exposed trunk.
The lid had not been fastened tightly, though she had tried to prevent any possible damage by keeping it enveloped within her person (in fact, it had been steadily leaking since her departure from her tree, and was busying itself by staining the fair porcelain skin on her sternum). As it flew, the lid wobbled off as the vial rotated, ink streaming and glistening in the sun...or reflection from Taisho's chest. The horror of the situation dawned on Mai before she had fully paddled to a stop, violet eyes widening in minute horror, and a startled gasp rising from her throat.
She had only meant to ask him to cover his chest up because it was blinding her and her companions!

The small bottle of ink flew threw the air..it was like a leaf on the wind as it was getting closer and closer to Taisho's bare chest, soon it hit, allowing the black ink to splash against Taisho's chest. It gave the sound of a water balloon getting popped as it hit it's target. The ink covered all of Taisho's upper chest. some even got on his chin. As the liquid moved down his chest coating his tanned skin. His eyes looked at the girl in raged with anger for the madness she had done. He would let out a low breath as he looked down at his figure.
"I didn't mean to get this dark!"
He would bring his right hand and poke his own chest, wondering how he was going to get this evil black stuff off his chest. He was going to freak, but whats the bother, He let out a low breath once again looking at Mai with a faint smile.
"Was my manly body bothering you miss?"

Surprisingly, Yuigon did indeed manage to keep his focus on his swings, rather than the new commotion just a ways off. Instead, he draws his second katana, the one with the pink hilt, with his right hand while holding the first with his left. His practice swings continue, becoming a bit faster and more complicated. Working his way up was definitely safer than trying to push himself right from the beginning, especially with others around. Idly, he wondered if anyone would become curious, but as his mind started to wander his sword collided, the shock almost making him lose his grip. "Damn it!" He cursed, and re-sheathed his swords. A pathetic attempt, really.

[bgcolor=0F4D92] The tension was killing Gen. Would they kiss or would they not? It's exciting, just out of romance novels. And then.. he got covered with ink. Oh lord, that was the high-point of the day. Of course, things were about to become rough, but to Gen, that was no problem. She was well out of the way, and decided to let out a small... girly... laugh. Urgh. Let's hope no one saw that. Gen never liked to show emotion to others, but funny things were a weakness. She loved jokes and horrible humor, a trait she picked up from reading too much.
Of course, by now, Gen didn't have an inkling of a thought about what was going to happen next. She just stared down there.. hoping the next thing that falls onto Ugly-guy's chest was a piece of paper. What she forgot though was to clean up. Let's hope the smell doesn't break in..

[bgcolor=000000]Book in hand, pipe in mouth he looked for his spot. He had been coming here for many years, to both enjoy some quiet and to take in a new addition to the vast library residing at the Third Division. He wasn't fussy on books to read, he simply enjoyed a good story regardless of what it was. In this case, the seemingly unawares Soutaicho was carrying a romance novel in his arm, one written by an aunosthor whom he had not heard of, but since it was in Kurisuna's vast collection, surely it had to be good.
So, here he was looking for his bench next to his favorite bird bath. Well, looking was a bad explanation, he knew exactly where it was and it wasn't like someone would move it after all these years, right? Standing where it should have been he scratched his head and looked around. Yes, that looked to be the right tree, yes that appeared to be the correct bed of flowers. But there was no bench, no bird bath, just a patch of finely trimmed grass. "Now where in the world...?" He said to himself softly continuing to give his scalp a bit of a scratch.
And then he heard it.
His neck craned to one side turning his line of vision toward the source of the noise, directly behind the tree. Curious, it almost sounded like laughter. Looking about for people now instead of scenery he noticed a member of the fourth, judging from his uniform fumbling around with his swords whom quite obviously was not pleased with himself, but no he could not have been the source of the unusual laughter, he was not female. Unless of course his laugh was something of an embarrassment and made him sound female.. But no that seemed unlikely, plus the source of the sound was much closer and in another direction.
Slipping around the tree, he spotted a girl with alarming blue hair. His gaze dropped to the obi she wore, green. Third Division. She was young, a child. What in heaven's name was a child doing in the Gotei? Did she lie about her age on her application? He frowned and slipped around the tree and announced himself. "Lovely day, isn't it?"
He smiled brightly and removed the hood upon his head before moving the pipe in his mouth to the other side of his mouth. "I hope I'm not intruding." Out of the corner of his eye, he saw movement. His gaze lifted and there before him, a sign of trouble as always, was Mai. And the largest man he had ever seen, whom was certainly someone he knew from discussions at council meetings alone. Lady Ume's Fukutaicho, Techimaru Taisho.
What in the world was he doing covered in ink?

Grappled with horror, Mai dropped her belongings as she stepped back, hands clamping down over her gaping mouth. 'This wasn't supposed to happen!' she screamed at herself as the apologies came tumbling from her constricted throat. Nearly crashing to her knees, she quickly dug through the haphazard pile at her feet until she found the rag that she would have used to wipe her own hands with.
Keeping her eyes averted, mostly from her own embarrassment at the situation, she reached out with the rag and began dabbing at what ink she could off the man's towering frame. Still, muttering her apologies, she didn't notice him addressing her, a thing for the best; her attitude still needed adjustment, and her scathing combat would have warranted a severe reprimand. In hindsight, stained fingertips were much preferred.
A long, slow, strangled whimper stretched out through her pursed lips and gritted jaw; the sun was drying the ink faster than she could mop it up. Both of them, pale Mai moreso than bronzed Taisho, were subjected to the blackish tint. Her long, delicate fingers, once the color of porcelain, were quickly on their way toward a frostbitten black. Brow knitted, she chanced a glance up, unprepared to see whatever damage she had caused, or whatever reaction hurled her way.
Why did things like this keep happening?

Taisho looked down at the young lady would seemed to be sorry for what she did. Even though Taisho at this point was kind of lost what happened, did she throw the ink at him or something. If so that was truly rude of her to do, he was sure though he was giving off a glare with his perfect body. Perhaps he was in the wrong, as she started to clean up the ink what she could reach. A very strange feeling began to happen, from his chin all the way up to his forehead began to burn like a forest on fire. Hes gaze would then be turned to the new comer by the girl with strange blue hair, who was ugly at that. His eyes turned to the man though..That jacket..that hair...that face. Oh hell the Soutaicho was here. WHY!!!
Taisho would then look at mai for a moment, noticing things about her looks. Then his sight went back to Malik. His eyes widened with fear and worry for his life. From the bottom of his throat he screamed slightly and jumped back from Mai hiding behind a near by tree he peaked from it looking at mai. Pointing then at Malik.
"Please..don't hurt me.."
He was always not the best around the soutaicho or any other captains besides his own captain. They some what struck a fear in the big man of he was doing something wrong how he dressed, and if Mai was Malik's daughter and if it was his fault for making Mai now all dirty with ink. Hell would be paid and Malik would hurt the poor Taisho. As long as it wasn't pain against his body..he was fine with that.

[bgcolor=000000]The life of a Shinigami was a busy one, even when one thought they had a moments peace to take a breather some unforeseen incident could arise, dragging them off of their precious time to themselves and back into the field. Yuigon was no exception to this rule of life as he was about to find out! After cursing himself a runner came up beside him, seemingly out of no where, and told him of a potential high risk situation and a member of his standing was needed there post haste! So off he and his fellow division mate scampered! Off to duty, to valor!!! Off to rescue that cat in the tree. Yuigon exited due to activity rule. Rewards to be halved.

Please ignore Mal's last post as Yuigon posted in the absence thread, so he is not exited and points are not docked. Also, Mal, exiting people is my task and I will take care of it when it becomes necessary. =P Ask in the future if you think someone needs to be exited.

So sorry about the wait. Ended up doing something every day. But yeah, since I had an absence up, I would not have minded if people skipped over me. Future reference and all that. Since Yuigon had ceased his rather fruitless practise, he was actually able to notice when the Sou-Taicho passed by him. Of course, the more important man's attention seemed to be diverted towards a minor incident just a little ways away, and he did not wish to disturb him. On the other hand, it seemed wrong to not pay some respect to the leader of the Gotei divisions. After a moment's pause, Yuigon gave a rather soft greeting to the Soutaicho, "Greetings, Tanaka-Soutaicho." which was followed by a quick bow.

[bgcolor=0F4D92] A voice reaches out from close-by, a rather large gentleman approaching her and giving her the usual greetings between co-workers.. until she realized. He heard her. But let's not panic here. She took a deep breathe, as usual, and then exhaled slowly, looking up at him. That look.. was familiar of sorts. Until it struck. "Y-Yes! A l-lovely day indeed." What struck exactly? Her fear of authority figures. The haori and the white long hair associated with him could only tell her that.. he was the leader of.. leaders. Or something. The Soutaicho.
A question about intruding was made to her, as she stood up with a quick step, introducing herself. "Erh.. Unseated Member of the Third Division, Tenba Gensou.. and no, you are not intruding, sir." In the commotion of all this, she totally forgot about the weird.. love.. story thing. However, she pointed to the ground, looking at the Chief and asking.. "Would you like to.. join me?", this time, her voice not as.. nervous and.. urgh, girly, as before. Instead, it was filled with the cold air and serious nature of before. But don't let it fool you, she was still scared of him.
She then sat down herself, before the Chief could seat himself. What a weird day this is.

[bgcolor=000000]She speaks! Not only was she a giggler, but a conversationalist as well. Smiling at how formal she suddenly became upon realizing who exactly he was, he gave his head a shake only to be greeted by the 'fumbler' before. Returning his attention to him the Soutaicho returned the bow with a nod of his head, removing the pipe in his mouth as he did so, followed by an exhale of smoke. "And to you mi'boy." He didn't know his face, that bothered him but he wouldn't let it show (he couldn't know everyone in the Gotei after all.) "And what a lovely day it is, as our friend,(he caught her name mid introduction) "Tenba-san was just saying. What's your name son?
"And thank you, my girl. I shall accept your most gracious offer."And with that, he followed suit and sat upon the grass using the tree as a backrest. His eyes quickly read the pair of Shinigami whom were addressing him. The male, was a little hard to read, perhaps due to his composure, little blue however was quite another story. She was scared of him. He wondered why, as of all the Captains he was not nearly the most terrifying to behold. Actually due to the rumors he had been hearing, he was quite low on that list and Kurisuna right at the top of it. Though that might explain it right there... Could it be the Haori and not the man wearing it?
He wouldn't push the issue.
Instead, he turned his gaze toward Mai and Taisho. She was appalled by something, he assumed the spillage of ink was it her fault? That would explain why she took to cleaning it from the man's hide, though that in itself was quite inappropriate behavior for a girl her age! Fawning and touching a man like that in public, for shame!! Malik went back to smoke, taking several quick drags from his pipe as he fumed.
Taisho, must have been aware of his ill feelings on the subject as when the blushing giant spotted the Tanaka male staring at him he took a flight and fled behind a tree. Amusing to behold, a man of that size would no doubt best Malik any day of the weak in fisty cuffs, which such a situation demanded (normally). Removing the pipe from his mouth once again, he clicked his tongue and pointed mouthpiece toward the pair whom now each had a bit of black on them. "I don't suppose either of you know what the devil those two are up to, do you?"
And then a torch! (light bulbs don't exist here) Could this man, this Fukutaicho be Mai's boyfriend?! That would make such gestures of public affection much more tolerable. If it were true, he would have to meet the lad and discuss wedding arrangements! Suddenly the idea of Mai being too young were dashed as hope of grandchildren came to mind!!
