One foot before the other. It was so simple, devising a mantra enough to steel her gaze away from the buoyant storm, away from all this decay. Were she less mono-maniacal in resolve, Kurisuna would've likely paused to examine both more closely as the skies grew black and the corpses underwent their metamorphosis, but Sumie was her singular concern, and there were no carcasses in her vicinity (at the time of the downpour) to witness the transformation, anyway. Two and two could be put together later.
Relief lifted the abominable weight off her chest when she spotted Sumie, elevating the rhythmnic pitter-patter of each step to the tempo of a full-blown sprint; upon reaching the woman, she would brake into a steady walk, smiling a thin, affectionate smile, and wrap her arms around her. ''I'm just glad you're safe. You've had a long night.'' Kiba, at this point, had been a bitter afterthought, but one whose status she had to address; her expression soured at the tart reminder of what she'd done to him, and how Sumie would take it. ''He's alive.''
She disengaged from the embrace, then, instead cupping her hands around Sumie's shoulders and holding her at arm's length. ''I'm sorry. I've done a terrible thing.''

Continuously the man shouts out in attempt to hear that of Torako's voice in return. Though to no avail are his attempts successful. So, once his voice had gone hoarse, he left with the thought of him having failed to save the life of Torako. Head hung low, he misses the flare sent up by Mihamaru, not that it mattered, Ubaga hadn't even obtained a kill. As the man slumps away from dying out chaos, a huge, massive thicket of raindrops blankets the area. It was as almost if Ubaga accumulated so much guilt that he had actually formed, not just a single-serving cloud to pour over him.. but an array in which scattered across the sky! It made him even sadder. He didn't mind in the sense that he was getting soaked entirely. But he he did mind it in the sense that it just made him think deeper. What he could have done? What even happened? Things like that riddled his thoughts,so much so it clouded the silver-lining waaaay back in his noggin. That silver-lining was the thought that she might've actually just got away. But that seems to foolish a thought, or so at the time it does. So like the forgotten frying pan on the back burner, the silver-lining remains unthought of but still there nonetheless. During his way out of the area, he stops by the medical tents and returns all the vials, except one. He keeps one.
After all, throughout the entire chaos that ran amuck, He was left wondering what has come of tribe? Were they hit with this plague? He needed this cure, to bring to the tribe Shaman for anyone infected -- or anyone who might be infected in the future. Should the situation arise once again. For now though, he goes to check on his Ramen Bar. It was on the way out of the Rukongai anyways and he figured that it might've been looted and or destroyed. (Luckily neither was the case)

[bgcolor=555555] Sumie's body managed a weak jerking motion of surprise even in her exhausted state as Kurisuna's limbs draped around her frame in a familiar hug. Though the Fukutaichou was certainly at the top of Kurisuna's favorites list, it was still an odd gesture, despite the familiar feel. Regardless, Sumie's surprise didn't prevent her from returning the hug before the taller woman answered her query and pulled back. Sumie's expression was a mix of relief, but also confusion at Kurisuna's last statement. She had confirmed Kiba was alive though, so Sumie replied, "We can talk about it later. Let's take care of this situation right now." As Zane helped Malik back to Seireitei, the Soutaichou didn't leave any orders. Not that it mattered, the Third Division was in its element now; investigation.
[Malik exited with Zane; Sumie 'exit'; event ended; rewards to be posted]

The way this was graded was different than normal and as such I wont be breaking down each individuals allotment. Rather, I will be explaining the process here. Everyone who participated got a base RP of 7 because of the seven pages we reached plus it was a week(ish) long event. Then everyone also had their post count from this thread added. From there, people got one point per kill or kill assist and one point for cures administered. On top of that, some people were awarded Quality RP for either having some outstanding posts throughout the event or adding a lot to it. Because my posts did not completely revolve around my own characters actions, I simply gave myself the base points and post count points, rather than quality points.
Thread Rewards:Yoshiya - 21 RP
Kurai - 11 RP
Malik - 17 RP
Torako - 15 RP
Hotaru - 18 RP
Sengoku - 20 RP
Ubaga - 14 RP
Kiba - 20 RP
Mihamaru - 15 RP
Rip - 12 RP
Ryuu - 20 RP
Yuigon - 18 RP
Mai - 19 RP
Harupia - 17 RP
Shigeo - 16 RP
Kurisuna - 18 RP
Zane - 15 RP
Ume - 10 RP
Sumie - 15 RP Thread locked, points are being added.
