Just a heads up for Katsu about Sengoku's speech.
"...while the Fourth District is mostly rubble of old buildings. The wasteland is just that, the earth is cracked and dry, water is scarce, and plants are twisted and as dry as the earth, it has a lot of cliffs, caves, and the like as well. There are insurmountable mountains which ring around the wasteland and beyond that, a sea which cascades over the edge of the world, which is flat and round."
"The wasteland is the area outside of the Rukongai. It is populated by Hollow who roam across the craggy rust hued landscape. It is filled with bleached bones of the deceased and toxic reishi swamps among other pitfalls."
Now if your character doesn't know about the layout of the 4th district or the wasteland, disregard this note.

The talk had shifted away from Shinigami, but where it was heading now made Brain just as uncomfortable, having picked up on the same thing Rip had. Brain doubted they'd like to divulge information about how they were going to do this to someone who could report back, so while he still could, the man got up and left.
[Brain Exit]
Brain exited as per the activity rules. Points will be halved. [ link]

[bgcolor=250517] Leaving! Looking around, the child noted that many were leaving, and she frowned. Was it because she was eating? She slows her eating, though she smiles to Haiiro when she notices that he ate hardly any of her food, and sets her eating utensils down on the place before she reaches to pet him, giggling quietly. She ate hardly any of it, having only managed to get through about half of the mashed potatoes before she began to notice people leaving. As she pets, she begins to hum quietly, no real recognizable tune in particular though Sengoku might recognize it as one she often hummed when present.

Rip didn't have an answer; he was no businessman. The proper price for territory won by the sweat and blood of others was not his place to set. He remained silent, preferring to allow others with more experience in these kinds of matters to say their piece. Sorry for the short post. Haven't been able to focus these last few days, and as such have nothing useful to add.

Sengoku watched as his would be army discussed the matter in hushed voices. They could DO this. There were still doubts to lay to rest, preparations to be made. He had to convince more people, get out and earn supplies and funding. "It doesn't have to be coin, mind you. Food, medical supplies, there are plenty of other ways we can fund this." Money was hard to come by, but there were always other methods. The ones doing the fighting had rewards waiting for them as well. Finally, after letting everyone discuss it among themselves, he tapped his pipe out on the counter.
"All right. That's enough for tonight. Go home, think it over, discuss it among yourselves. Anyone who has experience in building, tracking, or scouting, I'd like to talk with you all later. Combat Training will be starting in a week's time. If you've got a weapon you're good with, bring it. Otherwise, we'll be figuring out what you can do."
He watched as people started leaving, and frowned a bit. It was a huge gamble. The people of the Rukongai were used to their lives, used to the way things were. He was suggesting that they rip of the classic script, stop hiding behind the shinigami, and take back what was theirs. He wanted to believe that there were others among the Rukon Citizens. The meeting was over, all that was left was for the players to exit the stage. Sengoku made his way back to the kitchen and set to work cleaning up.

Young children, as it had become apparent, were not to be up so late, nor attending such dull meetings as the kind adults were prone to share. Yawning steeply, Fuji's humming quickly gave way to nap-time, and the child rested her face upon her arms on the table, whereupon dozing occurred in short order. Fuji exited per activity rules, thread ended, points to be awarded shortly.
