If Shi had not found himself in the presence of a new Arrancar, to him at least, then he would have been irritated at the lack of a response. Of course, it could also mean that the Adjuchas could not answer due to the lack of proof to support their argument, but that was neither here nor there. In fact, all Shi cared about was an unknown factor, and at the moment, one that did not make their presence known until they spoke. A bad sign in Shi's mind but he could ponder it later.
Instead, he merely lowered his blade. Lowered, but did not sheathe it. A sign to any that Shi was more than ready for a fight while his mind began processing plans and ways to cripple and then kill. Shi curled his lips in disgust, pausing for a moment to catch himself in mid-thought. For the initial statement that wanted to escape was that the Arturia before him was some kind of fool to have a reaction to a threat. After all, Shi was no talented and demonic swordmaster, he simply knew where to strike with surgical intelligence and knowledge.
But, Ryuu was an example of a first impression that belied power and no doubt intelligence. After all, an Arrancar did not exist through mere brute force. In his mind, an Arrancar was never to be underestimated, especially as he himself could logically explain. "I don't trust you, and our kind has no reason to fear violence." he stated before glancing at the two and silently snorted before slowly walking off.
"Next time we meet Adjuchas, pray that I am still full from my last hunt. Once more," He ordered, walking away from the duo. Frankly, he had much to investigate, and answers to seek out. Not to mention, Ryuu to track down. The blade was still out as he left, eyes forward but senses focused behind him for the slightest sound of movement or sign.
He made a mistake in assumptions today, and it could have cost him his life. There would be no second mistake.
