The distance between the two, to Kiba, seemed to waver and narrow - in but a moment he could close that gap, could very easily shatter any provided defense and render his former subordinate a memory. Of course, if there was anything Kiba had learned over a very, very long life, it was the barest modicum of restraint. Rather than paint himself red with his sparring partner, then, Kiba took a deep breath, snarled, and prepared to issue forth some other ultimatum, perhaps, some declaration of the young man's foolishness that, when looked at on the whole, would surely in some way mirror the story of Kiba not so very long ago.
Any such attempt was stalled by a gentle rustling in the sand, low enough Yuigon wouldn't catch, but certainly enough that Kiba, his wildly animalistic sense trained for his back, to become aware of a new body, another person entering their perimeter. Rather than respond to Yuigon, Kiba half-turned toward the new figure, his eyes glowering into the encroaching darkness; it was later than simply afternoon now, the sun barely a figure in the far distance, and with barely any stars out, Kiba's finer vision was certainly compromised. The Fourth Taicho, however, had made it his job ages ago to get a feeling for a situation by instinct, and he well knew when trouble, serious trouble, was at hand.
"Fine kid, you win. As your Taicho, I order you to turn around and make for Seireitei as fast as your feet will carry you. Stop for nothing, under any circumstances. Rally up a few members of the Fifth and send them out here; they'll wanna see the aftermath."
There were some tones that could not be argued or reasoned with, and Kiba made good use of one such; without hesitation, perhaps because he too sensed imminent danger, Yuigon sheathed his weapons and with the slightest nod, turned back toward Seireitei and began his egress.
Precisely what occurred there would be a secret lost to the sands and whatever figure had approached, and subsequently left, the area - when the Fifth Division assembly eventually arrived, near to dawn the next morning, the broken body of Shuchiku Kiba would be all that was left to be found.
