Funny, whenever I have this conversation with He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, he rips my fantasies to shreds with logic. That perspective, in my opinion, ruins the entire point/fun, but he's always been my superb little fun-killer.
Honestly, if I could pick, it'd be tough. I'd like to be able to teleport, s'long as it didn't end up with me murdered because I screwed up and teleported into a cement wall or something.
Actually no
I'd want to be a witch from the Harry Potter universe.
Then I could do ALL the stuff I want.

There is a certain appeal to flawed powers. And by that I mean they make the character that much more interesting. A lot of the X-Men have these. Examples; Pyro, Storm, Cyclops. Pyro can manipulate fire, but can't create it. Storm (though not in the movies) had very little control over her powers; they'd just happen when she got mad. And if it weren't for Cyclops' visor, he'd have to go through life with his eyes closed.
This is why I don't like Superman. He's just so boring.

But it's really fun to deconstruct things by pointing out how they would work in reality. Like how if you were running with superspeed the friction forces would tear your skin off. www.smbc-comics.com/?id=2527Though I do agree that a character without powers is a lot more compelling than one with powers most of the time. Forces them to have to get creative in dealing with their powers. So what are some people's favorite superheroes?

My favourite superhero, as in someone with powers is honestly the Flash, closely followed by someone who gets mocked a lot, Aquaman. Both DC characters I know, were I to pick Marvel it'd be Wolverine and Luke Cage.
Flash isn't just a superfast guy like most people deem him to be, sure his powers have everything to do with being a speedster, but he can use that ability to as I pointed out before, phase through objects. Additionally he can vibrate someone so fast that they literally fall apart, and do the same with buildings. So ya, he can be considered a little OP'd but at the same time as Carb pointed out, he has a few flaws. All of which focused on him being human. He gets tired, needs to recharge on food almost constantly (can you imagine how much buffets hate him?) and he is incredibly vulnerable if you do hit him.
Aquaman.... He's a bit harder to explain. No he doesn't talk to fishies as most people points out, but he can telepathically influence creatures of the sea to do his bidding, for instance telling a shark to eat someone he doesn't like to much. On top of that, being from under the sea the amount of pressure his body undergoes at such depths makes him a walking tank when he's on the surface not to mention reasonably super-humanly strong. He also has a bitching trident and while his outfit is lame it does act as an armor to protect him against munitions that would cause him harm, for the most part. As for flaws for him, if he's away from water for too long he does quite literally dry out.
Wolverine and Luke Cage.. Well that's self explanatory. Bad ass Canadian with claws and a big black dude who will throw a tank at you for diss'n his mama.

And theres something that appeals to me about the crappy Jubilee from the 90s cartoon of the Xmen.
That'd be a hilarious power and inferiority complex to be saddled with.

What WAS her power? o.o
Flawed powers are compelling cause they make us care for the character more. But I think I’d care for myself even if I was OP, really xP Want all dem powers!
Favorite hero... Well, I never think about that a lot, I like all of them. If I were to think about it for a bit, the first that comes to my mind would be Spiderman. He has a versatile set of skills, but also has the brains to compliment them or truck along without that. And his story and theme just has a nice vibe to me, a plain old guy becoming something more and using his power for good...well, at least the main idea about him. I always feel sorry for all the stuff people put him through, including the current arc x.x
From DC, I really like the Blue Beetle. Again, versatile skill set, and a character I like, heh.

I recall her power being able to shoot out mini-fireworks, like sparklers, or something.
Basically, the power of distraction/party tricks.

But Spiderman is awesome D:
From DC I think my favorite superhero is probably Batman. He has a good origin story and I find a hero with no powers to be more compelling.
For Marvel I would have to say my favorite superheros are Deadpool due to how funny the stories tend to be and Captain America because while he technically is superhuman he is able to hold his own against people who have a lot more powers.

He is however a hero in league with superheroes, otherwise he would've been my obvious choice <<; And the question was superhero <_<

Powerless characters are ''omg so amazing and creative'' until you realize that, because the writers aren't MODOK-tier brainiacs, it's really just the villains (Dr. Doom, Taskmaster, Thanos) and heroes (Wolverine, goddamn Superman) juggling so many idiot balls at a pivotal moment that most of them forget how to pop off heads like the cap of a smarties tube and lock down their not-so-secret lairs at night.

He is however a hero in league with superheroes, otherwise he would've been my obvious choice <<; And the question was superhero <_<Define 'superhero', because I think you're wrong here. Bruce Wayne is absolutely more than a man, and this goes beyond just 'loads of money + tibetan monks', he is as much a meta-human as are a good portion of his rogue's gallery. Just because he doesn't shoot lasers out his ass or fly via self propulsion doesn't mean he isn't internally composed of stronger stuff, be it positively or negatively via whatever mental or psyche traumas you can attribute him. That level of dedication to a single goal is absolutely 'abnormal', just as is any Green Lantern's obsession with whatever makes them potential marks for the Power Ring, or just as Billy Batson's impossibly upbeat attitude and staunch stance for 'justice' (or the 'embers of good' depending on your source material) enable him to be the avatar of magical power Shazam - these are not powers the characters themselves possess insofar as what defines them as super heroes, but it is what enables them to wear the moniker. If you define 'superhero' as a character with a demonstrable ability outside their race's norm, then you have to immediately discount essentially every damned character in common usage. Batman is just a man; Superman is exactly the same thing any Kryptonian raised on Earth would be. Wonder Woman is the avatar of a Goddess in the body of a mud doll, the Lanterns are just par for their species + magic ring; Shazam's form is defined by the host but, as far as powers go, are the same for every user with the same gods' powers. The Spectre, Daredevil, any of the mutants from the X-Men (any human has the potential to be born with a mutation, these are just the current lucky few), the Juggernaut, The Hulk (any yahoo blasted with the same radiation has as much a chance of becoming a hulking beast, ala The Abomination), the Fantastic Four, any 'magician' character (anybody can learn magic, they just have to have the opportunity), Martian Manhunter wasn't even an especially effective Martian, just lucky. Put simply, Batman doubtless is a Superhero based simply on the criteria that he is greater than what most humans could ever hope to be, and is commonly called upon to face a 'super' threat in a heroic fashion. Dress it up how you want (he's more antihero if not straight villain than hero, he's just a man with money and training, everything he's doing is just a figment of his own broken imagination), he absolutely is a 'super' hero to the point where his successors via the Beyond story-line were clones. Also an argument has to be made for his super power in regards to just being disregarded. What's that? There's a vigilante running through the city with his own privately owned rocket car, super sonic jet, submarine, battle tank, modified motorbike and a literal artillery condensed into a bright yellow belt? Man, if only we knew of anybody in Gotham City with enough money to afford that sort of armament with such an obscene amount of income that it could be written off their taxes as 'dropped pocket change'. Not strange at all that he appeared within three days of Bruce Wayne's return to Gotham City from parts unknown!

Whats wrong with Spiderman? D: ITS NOT HIS FAULT PEOPLE DONT KNOW HOW TO WRITE HIM! T-T
I only know of the GODDAMN BATMAN o.o
Also, another less obvious power I like would be Kinetic abosobtion...or however you'd call what Sebastian Shaw has. There is something fun in shurging of a punch and returning the favour twice as hard xP And no, the fact they made him OP in First Class has nothing to do with it << >>

Basically, Batman is so woefully outclassed he needs to purchase every paid DLC and leap into battle fully specced with wares that Spidey would put to better use anyway. Spiderman just doesn't bother because he's a dirty casual who can't afford to freebase anti-lose before every fight.

Worry not - allow me to give you insight on a newer, better Batman.
I call him 'Goldman'.
Burning in the springtime of his youth, this gentleman's skin has been kissed by the sun for his lengthy stays beneath the rays of warmth, where his kind do flourish, and so he bears not the sickly paleness of his predecessor, the hero you know. To encourage your acceptance, know he is as stupidly loaded as your Bruce Wayne, and fated to only become more rich as time goes on. As with your Batman, Goldman as bedecked in technological advantages wildly beyond his time - in fact, the very tools your Batman wields are within the realm of use of Goldman, for this is his great power, a sampling of every great 'treasure', as well as 'technology', made by man.
Where your playboy is plain and unassuming, this playboy stands out not only in a crowd, but in every crowd. Golden hair, bronzed skin and brilliant red eyes mean that in cases both of benevolence and those requiring the sharp hand of justice, Goldman is as intimidating as any other. A secret identity? Goldman comes in three flavors - standard, which is excellent, vagabond, otherwise declared the 'shounen-ai' option, and chibi, wherein his charm is unpeered. The Gold-Boy Wonder, he is his own equally-competent, equally-capable sidekick!
Is it a flashy costume you seek? Goldman is known far and wide for his broad scope of fashionable duds, so no fear there. A mind suitable for the mental deconstruction of his enemies? None are so able to quite literally read their opponents as Goldman, who can determine not only the specialties of his opponents, but their levels of aptitude in their chosen arts.
What's that? Does such a man know justice? Goldman knows true justice, the greatest justice imaginable - The King's Justice. As with your Batman, under the King's Justice, all crimes are equal and punished without hesitation - but in this situation, there is no need to flee the law, for the King's Justice supercedes and overwrites the law. Hail to the King! Hail to the King!
Welcome then, to the world of Goldman, of the king Gilgamesh, whose powers are without limit, whose comprehension of justice exceeds the reckoning of man - the Golden King who led the city of Uruk to unpeered peace and elevation for hundreds of years, whose only weakness is the inability to defeat the overwhelming absolute fate of the 'love story'.
So yeah, most best superpower - being Gilgamesh. Sign me up.

Speaking of page 1. Money, decade of training and a utility belt containing fancy gizmos! And a nifty outfit to go along with it =o When you put it like that, Batman is really just Gilgamesh lite. I don't actually hate Batman.
