Constitution - Lean but muscular, tall.
Poise - Confident, rigid and ready.
Aesthetics - Caucasian, graying hair, dark eyebrows, blue-gold eyes, stubbly beard.
In his youth Mallach’s hair was midnight black, though over the years due to stress and in general just growing older hints of silver are starting to show in the hair that crowns his face and goes down to his shoulders. His eyes are crowned with arching eyebrows as dark as the day he was born, which give the illusion he’s always staring at those he’s looking at with a level of disdain. The eyes themselves are a rather alarming blue with a hint of gold which sparkle with authority. Although he doesn't allow it to fully grow out, he has stubble upon his chin and cheeks giving the impression he has a constant five o’clock shadow.
Standard Attire
As if always ready for a fight, Mallach is generally always seen wearing light flat grey chain mail under his black leather jerkin which is detailed with the Sigil of his house which stands out due to it being a dark shade of grey. Over his shoulders he wears the same black silk cloak he wore during the war which once belonged to his father. It has been recoloured and repaired more times than he would care to count, although it still has a tattered bottom making it almost look like wings when he rides. This cloak is held in place by the Wolfhead pin of the Royal Guard (Shadow Guard) and he is never seen without it. Upon each of his forearms are armoured, flat grey, forearm braces. Each one of these possess a two inch curved blade, an inch apart from one another. On his lower body he wears a lighter shade of simple yet elegant black slacks, and leather black boots which come halfway up his shins.
Other items he’s rarely seen without is his Eipyhre Sword, “Storm Bringer” and the necklace which was gifted to him by his brother-in-law the King. It’s a white gold chain which holds the crest of his house in a red ruby. The Sigil has been cut into the ruby and had molten gold poured into it. Storm Bringer is found upon his left hip in it’s tan leather sheath which has a matching belt which sports three pouches and half a dozen hoops upon it for this and that. Mallach wears it about his waist.
Battle Attire
Much like his standard attire, Mallach is seen wearing his mail, cloak, necklace and sword. However over his jerkin he wears a flat grey chest plate with the blackened sigil of his house up the upper mid section. His hands are protected with a customized pair of armoured gloves allowing his wrist blades room to fit through slots. Forgoing lower leg protection he wears lined (cotton and silk) black leather pants to protect him from the elements, his standard black leather boots are replaced with armoured ones, of the same flat grey as his chest piece and gloves. Around his neck he wears a blackened chain mail collar, allowing flexibility and protection which is slightly overlapped by his full faced black helm.
The helm is blackened armour with the house sigil of Dirson bent around the sides of his head, giving him an almost demonic appearance in battle. Small slits are over his mouth, allowing him to breathe and speak through it while not forgoing protection to the lower parts of his face. His eye sockets are perhaps the one shortcoming of the helm due to their larger size than the norm, creating a larger target for arrows and blades alike, but he can see better all the same. To disguise this opening Mallach has been known to by his men to sport black makeup around his eyes to give the illusion of armour.
He also carries a round wooden shield with a blackened steel ring around it, upon his left arm. It is painted solid black and sports a mash up of the King’s coat of arms, along with the Dirson family sigil just above it to symbolize his protection of the King and his realm.
Formal Attire
While not terribly comfortable with dressing up, Mallach does clean up remarkably well. When the time calls for it, his tattered cloak is replaced with a far more befitting dark red one made of the finest materials money can buy, like always this is kept in place by his station’s pin. Wearing a simple but elegant black shirt he is forced to wear a grey vest over it with a red sigil of his House printed upon it’s middle. Upon his hands he wears leather black gloves which match the boots upon his feet, and on his legs grey slacks which he finds a bit to tight around certain areas, though his late wife never seemed to complain.
And as preusual, his bladed fins, sword and necklace are on his person, much to the dismay (and embarrassment to his children) of those other Higher born individuals around him.
Personality:
Intimate- Loving, overprotective.
Acquaintance- Polite even humorous
Professional- Blunt, direct, firm.
Unknown- Cautious, blunt
Dreams, Goals- Raising the Dirson family above it's former glory, keeping the Realm safe.
Likes, Loves - Most foods, music, riding on a clear day, his family and friends.
Dislikes, Hates - Fish, usurpers, unnecessary bloodshed.
Fears, Phobias - Losing his family and the realm
Unique Qualifier - Fancies a good mystery, keen military mind.
There are many sides to the Lord of Levenstead. He can be a very warm, welcoming and even a bit of a foolish fellow. He would even refer to himself as a merry maker on occasion, and not shy away from an ale with friends and comrades alike. However this has been far and few between for the man, as for the majority of his life he has had to be the serious, blunt and stern leader of a military force. As such he can be quite intimidating when he needs be and what more down right scary.
While he doesn't necessarily mean to be such, it's par for the course and Mallach has gotten used to the idea of being the stern pig headed man whom the people bring their problems to. And as such he has cut off his emotions from choices he has to make for the better good, while brooding over any guilt he may feel later on down the road if need be. Because of this 'duality', he adopts a completely different tone when speaking as a man holding his rank (rather than that who's forefathers were naught but pirates) which can be quite shocking and down right eerie to those whom know him personally. (he finds it so as well from time to time)
He has a fond taste for music, food and drink but rarely will he overdue it. And while his people has gained a reputation for being sound people of the sea, he absolutely cannot stand the smell or taste of fish and will admit freely aside from those whom have sided against the Realm there is nothing more he hates more than fish. When frustrated he often reverts to his roots, cursing up a storm (often times bringing the gods into it) and raking his fingers through his silvering hair.
His deepest fear is losing what he has fought so hard to regain, his family’s honor the rightful heir upon the throne and the ‘peace’ which has blanketed the land.

Mallach was born into the family Dirson, a few years after his father Tengel was branded a traitor for his views and had all ties severed from the Dirsson family. Because of this Tengel took his small family all over the kingdom, crafting boats and ships alike for those willing to pay for his services.
After a few years of quiet living, the War for the Throne escalated enough to find the Dirson family. Tengel found himself confronted by his brother's one time bannermen, asking him to lead them in the fight against the false king. Conflicted, Tengel at first rejected the offer telling those who came that he would not risk his family's safety. However, assassins whom were ordered to put a stop to a Dirson leading forces into combat struck and slew his wife, Mallach witnessed the events first hand and still has nightmares about the tragic event to this day. This accomplished exactly what the bannermen had wanted and as such Tengel joins the war effort with Niall Wolfthorne father to Ulric, combining their might. Mallach was only a boy of 5 at the time.
He was trained in safe and hazardous areas during those first year of war to make sure he could help his father, acting as his squire. And although young, at the age of 12 he is given his first sword and armor to take the field with, basically already a man grown.
As the war rages on the house of Dirsson takes the side of the False King and on the battlefield Mallach watched on with horror as his uncle slew his father and then later assisted in killing the true heir to the throne. Rallying those still loyal, Mallach fled the battle with the remaining troops and regroups with Ulric the now heir to the throne. The two young boys, take control of their father's remaining forces and thus begins a new take on the war.
After three years of avoiding large open conflicts and preforming light sting operations, the young leaders of the resistance had created several different underground connections throughout the False King's Empire, to gather information and supplies. Ever vigilant they managed to stay one step ahead of their enemy and never kept their entire host together, for as many small groups they could move quietly and quickly while as one large mass they were easy to find, easy to kill.
Three more years had passed and while camping in the Kattspine Mountains, Mallach and Ulric discover a cave with a priceless lost treasure, a small cache of unused Eiphyre weapons lost from the days of dragons. After choosing a weapon that appeared to draw him in, his power is awakened within him and Mallach dubs his sword "Storm Bringer" and earns the nickname "The Lighting Lord" from his troops.
As time passed and their influence grew, Mallach made his way to Bulgate to personally arrange an alliance with the lords of power there. A wise choice, as the Horselords of Bulgate were legendary in their ability to raise fine stock. It was here that he first meets little Cathlyn Nuëmenoïr. Delighted, he allows her to pick out his first Mare, Storm.
Later that year Mallach weds Katriina Wolfthorne, sister to Ulric. This not only makes an already strong alliance stronger, but makes the two young men brothers in more than just war. While shy at first, the two remain within an arms reach of one another for nearly 2 and a half years.
Chance rose and Mallach decided to take it. Leading a siege on his ancestral home of Levenstead, Mallach loses his brother Janus who dies in battle and is also gravely injured. He is rushed back to Vertholt, and is believed by the masses to be dead. Katriina watched over him for weeks and assisted in his recovery and as he grew stronger their family expanded as
Katriina gives birth to a daughter, Mhairyn"Aryn" Dirson .
More time passes and the war remains at a standstill, however without a male to carry on his family name, Ulric forbids Mallach from taking the fray. However, after years of trying, Katriina births Mallach a son, Ricard and his twin sister Sofia. While he was overjoyed with being given a son, the strain of twins however was too much for Katriina and she died days after, Sofia lived for only hours, not strong enough for such a cruel world. Heart broken Mallach turns a bit colder to those who knew him, hiding away in his chambers and keeping care of the only light in his life being his children.
Regardless of attempt to keep the fact of Mallach being alive a secret, the House of Dirson was approached by a Seeker by the name of Mollandir. His sweet Aryn was one of those Gifted and taken from him to be trained as a member of the Order of the Sun at the young age of 4. While pride filled him with the knowledge that his daughter would not only be a princess, but one of the divine of the Sun as well, he wished they had never truly come. His little girl was no longer just his, but theirs now.
Now that his line is secure with Aryn's safety all but guaranteed, Ulric allowed him to reenter the fray. Donning a new armor in an attempt to strike fear into those whom believed him dead, he leads his first vanguard in years and all but annihilates those whom stood against his host.
As time passed and the war began to move in Wolfthone's favor, Mallach revisits Bulgate to get a new horse, as Storm is sick and dying. It is there that he strikes an accord with the horse lords and acquires the "Monster of Nuëmenoïr", Wind Walker as a sign that their alliance has come to a head and their supply line to the Snowclaws was officially cut off. Deciding to get his little one a treat, he also gets Aryn her own Gelding, Haffingar and begins to teach her to ride when he can steal himself away from the carnage of war.
In a final stand, the false-king and his host fled to Levenstead, Mallach's ancestral home. Days pass, much blood is spilled but upon the rise of a new moon, Levenstead raises not only the Wolfthrone but the Dirson Banner. The Snowclaw slain and the rightful heir takes back his kingdom. For his service Mallach is named Lord of Levenstead and High-Commander of his Majesty's Imperial Forces. He spends little time in his newly conquered home however as due to his new title he is spirited back to the King's capital, Vertholt. Ricard still but a boy is given the title of Lord of Levenstead in Mallach's place and speaks on his behalf.
Peace won, Mallach began to enjoy the little things in which he took for granted, as well as learning that being the Lord-Commander and Voice of the King was a hell of his own making (which made the little things all the more enjoyable). However, peace as one once said was a lie and by messenger Ricard informs his father that a darkness had taken life in the Aluiet Wastelands and it's lands were now lost to them. Mallach, curious and concerned sends Rangers to investigate but they're never heard from again. Ulric requests (commands) Mallach to leave it be. Bitter Mallach obeys, for now.
Several months later he begins to court Cathlyn Nuëmenoïr, but keeps it very quiet. Enjoying the ability to keep some things just to himself. The pair, having known one another for years explore their relationship in a whole other fashion and quickly fall head over heels for one another.
It then came to Mallach's attention that Mollandir the Seeker whom first came to take his daughter away, had retired. Whether for personal spite or just because he was an overprotective fuddy duddy, he hires the man to protect his daughter as her personal bodyguard.
On a visit to Levenstead, Mallach hears the most sad and unpleasant noise he had not heard since the years of the war. A baby, crying out in hunger. Well, by baby a hatching Bat-Hawk. As his father had taken this bird as his family crest, Mallach could not let such a thing die and as such raises him as a pet/tool and names him Falcon.
