The Daidouji grounds are quite simply, elegant. A tradition started by the founder of the clan, a simple appearance but the best of the best. Each Clan head has brought something new to the grounds such as sculptures, shrines or something more simple like a rare tree. With this, one can gauge the personalities of each holder of this title by looking at what they have brought to this, for lack of better word, legacy.
Lush greenery from different parts of the mortal plane live within these grounds, from flowers to trees. These are kept alive all year round as they are moved from the earthly soil which they call their true home, to a glass garden for the winter season. The glass garden, a stray thought and later an invention from both former clan head, Madoka to keep his vast collection of vegetation alive year round.
Streams of water flow throughout the entire estate, which are never allowed to freeze over for fear of losing the inhabitants within, several different breeds of Nishikigoi, or more commonly know as Koi. These fish over the years have become estate wide pets for those within and some say one particular family head has spent his entire life attempting and indeed training them to do tricks before being allowed to be fed.
The Main manor is a traditional Japanese small palace, built with strong stone and supported with thick ebony beams. It, like the estate is surrounded in a light purple stone wall, with heavy bronze gates at the entrance. It is a three story building, eight foot high ceilings upon each level. Within the first floor, one can find such rooms as the kitchen, dining area, common room, entrance to the staff's chamber's and Malik's study. On the second floor, one can find Malik's parent's residence, along with their sitting room and study area. On the upper most level is the master bedroom in which Malik calls his own, along with his wife Chiyoko. This is also where Malik keeps his workshop, or gallery if you prefer.
