This thread takes place in a currently unknown location. Therefore I am posting it in the pit. This post takes place directly after the (should have been) simultaneous end to all three events by the name of Something Wicked This Way Comes.
Just to clarify, this is a thread that your character will have no idea about. This is for you guys OOC to give you a better (or worse) idea about the plot that is unfolding.
The large antechamber was silent except for the occasional drop of water cascading down over the cold stone surface of the walls before splattering onto the floor. Even it was muted and only exemplified the heaviness of the silence. Nothing moved within the dimly lit room though seven marble statues formed a loose ring along the walls casting vague shadows that merged in the very center of the floor.
Abruptly, the silence would end as would the meager light present. Three small vortexes opened in the center of the antechamber before merging into one large vortex. In the darkness, several beings would descend from the portal. One by one as they each touched ground, some louder than others, they made their way down a massive hallway that extended off of the room. By the time the vortex closed and both the silence and light had returned, only the statues still remained.
However, the motley procession simply relocated themselves to an even larger room. All halted just inside the entrance of the new chamber at the cry of, "Halt! Who goes there?" A lone figure approached the group. His physical form was hidden behind a large shield. Three in fact. They formed a triangle around the being's body though two holes about head level allowed the flat black eyes of the being to peer out at the group.
"We have returned from our missions to inform The King of what we have seen and learned," came the reply. The voice was naught more than a grating wheeze. The owner moved forward; it was the rider still mounted on his steed.
"Dismount, Knight," came a voice from the shadowy background of the room. "Bishop, step back and let them pass." The voice was permeated with power and authority. The shielded being walked backward, in the direction of the voice as The Knight dismounted. The voice came again. "Bring forth The Stallion and your other companions, Knight."
As one, those who had entered together moved forward. As they passed, the torches on the walls they moved by lit up until they came before a set of steps. Again, as one, they knelt before the steps, a throne at the peek though it and its inhabitant were still cast in darkness.
Behind the steps, thick dark purple curtains rustled with whispers and small movements. "QUIET!" The voice upon the throne bellowed and the curtains went motionless and the room seemed to grow colder. In a less aggressive voice, the being on the throne resumed addressing those that had come forward.
"Knight and Stallion, Counselor and Ogre, Jester and your Pawns, tell me what you have found."
The Knight rose first his steed rising with him. "The arrancar are weak and uncoordinated. They lack the power of their ancestors. As we already knew, their individual powers differ based on individuals. Only one employed the technique that they call Cero. My... memories lead me to believe that they are all capable of obtaining Cero though. It is not a personal ability. As with their high speed movement."
Once finished with his debriefing The Knight and The Stallion lowered themselves before the throne as The Counselor and the massive being simply known as The Ogre rose. "The shinigami are a similar case, my King. Their individual abilities seem to vary though some are shared. They as well had a technique for moving across distances more quickly than normal. However, I cannot say which beings are superior in their usage as of yet. They are heavily reliant on the energy that they call reiatsu. They had much difficulty dealing with The Ogre who is unaffected by it. Even when I lost control of him when they did manage to cause him pain, they were unable to deal with his simple destructive means."
Like The Knight and Stallion before, once The Counselor and The Ogre were done with giving their information, they knelt and The Jester floated upward, a crooked grin on his face. "The humans were fun to deal with. The Pawns were all weak and their memories yielded nothing when I possessed them. Three showed me very distinct abilities. However, one seemed to be from the quincy line. Mouthy brat at that."
There was silence once The Jester floated back down to the ground. It was tense and the slow creak from The King leaning forward in his chair might as well have been a piercing scream. "It seems like we still need more time before the coming of The Queen then. You have done well. Yet we will still need more information to piece together with our memories. Only then can my beloved Queen arise."
