Katsu's head spun a little as once his wound throbbed painfully. Now reduced to an ugly, seared strip of red and black flesh, the once dreadful looking slash now resembled a crimson band that stretched from his shoulder to his hip. The pain was of the dull, deep, aching variety. Every step exasperated the feeling, though he had to admit that the Quincy now helping him walk had done an excellent job of patching him up. He was no longer bleeding to death, and for the moment at least, he was no longer in immediate danger of being pounced, mauled, maimed, murdered, swooped upon (because swooping is bad), or having some other calamity befall him. He wondered if Malik and Kimiko were all right. He'd lost them coming off the boat, and now he'd also lost track of the time. With a grunt, he glanced at the man helping him walk, and smirked a bit.
"I appreciate what you've done for me, Quincy. I owe you..." His smirk became a grimace as they hit a small incline in the road, and his wound began to throb anew. "I never did get your name. I'm Getsuei Katsu." Since the Quincy in Question had been so kind as to save Katsu's hide, though burning it in the process, the shinigami felt obligated to be moderately polite. As they headed into the medical tent, Katsu couldn't help but feel a little bit of relief. The Quincy's treatment had done its job, and now it was time for trained healers to do theirs.

The walk had hardly been trouble for the large Quincy, his past having been fully of lugging about chopped tinder and stones for the families under his care, to the point where carrying a wounded man was provided it's own energies. He'd caught the Shinigami wincing now and again, and had attempted to lower and raise himself as necessary to keep the man from hurting too badly, though after a while, it became apparent that some pain was simply to be expected.
Still, Senako was slightly touched by the Taicho's extension of thanks and good will; rarely, if ever, had Senako seen such a thing from their type, and he was glad to see God's hand, acting through himself, had done a small amount of justice to the world. "Thank me not yet, Getsuei-san; yer wound is still harsh, but worry not, for Vater Bruno is on the job!"
The Quincy laughed at this, and only after Anastasia gave a rather loud clearing of her throat did Senako realize his mistake. "Ah, but forgive me, please; here in these lands, I am known as Akimoto Senako." The girl gave a nod of pleasure at hearing his given name, and both settled into a more calm walk as the medical tent came into view.
Finally, Senako was able to set Katsu down upon a cot, grimacing in sympathy as the motion required more than a small amount of jostling. With a sigh of relief, Senako turned to his two wards; Kristian nodded once before taking his cross into his hands and, with a soft prayer, focused; his bow formed into his hands nearly instantly, fulfilling the promise of the booming voice from before and what it's medical facilities would allow. With a nod, Senako turned to Katsu and gingerly placed a hand on the Taicho's shoulder.
"Alright, Getsuei-san, here is what is to happen: Kristian is going to use a power we've named 'Yozen', an arrow formed from his own life energy and this place's energy, in order to fully heal this terrible wound. It will be frightening at first, aye; no man can stare down an arrow and not feel fear. But simply keep one thing in mind: we'll mean you no harm after the healing we've done for ye, and anyway, th'voices said y'can't die here anyway." This was followed with another charming grin before Senako stepped fully aside, allowing Kristian to step up and stand directly before Katsu, taking a deep breath as he raised his bright blue bow.
"Take a deep breath, Bruder Shinigami, and close your eyes. You will feel a cool sensation after the sudden warmth." Kristian focused as he drew back the string of his bow, grimacing softly as two forms of energy began to collect at the furthest removed point: first the island's own reishi, and second, his own life force, which caused his skin to pale and sweat to bead at his forehead as the golden arrow began to form. Where usually the technique must be aimed for the solar plexus, a wound of such magnitude would certainly require a more fine aim, and so Kristian leaned in ever so slightly, his arrow positioned to sink into the wound dead center.
With a slow exhale, the boy remained steady and released the arrow, holding his flinch until after the Yozen struck Katsu's wound. Rather than pain, Katsu would feel a flash of warmth before, slowly, from the edges of the wound crawling inward, a flesh-tingling coolness would begin to grow. The young boy swayed gently before Senako set him down, too, upon a cot, softly urging the child to keep his bow at the ready, rather than to seal it away. "Others will need ye, Kristian. Stay strong."
The boy nodded meekly at this, breathing deeply to restore his heart-rate; Anastasia gave their Vater a brief look, to which he responded with a sigh and a nod; if the boy was going to stay, so would the girl, his keeper if nothing else. She smiled and gave Bruno a gentle hug before moving to sit beside Kristian; for his part, Senako simply shook his head before smiling to the Shinigami.
"I suggest ye rest a moment, catch your breath, make certain you can stand without dizzying. Then ye have your doctor's permission to go and rough-house all ye wish with the other boys." He laughed again at this before nodding his head in a hurried bow, making his way toward the tent's opening: whilst in the area, he may as well move along with this absurd game and find his first opponent, yes?

Yeah, needless to say, Katsu was NOT a big fan of having an arrow pointed at him. Still, the people running this island had made it very clear that death was something that would be prevented at all costs, and Senako and his charges had not given Katsu any reason to distrust them so far. He waited as the Quincy named Kristian, which sounded strange when Katsu pronounced it in his head, charged the arrow with the proper energies. As the arrow formed, the boy became pale, and Katsu allowed himself to relax. So far, everything was happening exactly as Vater Bruno, or Akimoto Senako (whichever he was) said it would. As the arrow pierced his chest, Katsu couldn't help but reflexively flinch. As the cool, tingling sensation washed over him, and his wound began to knit back together, he took a sigh of relief that his faith had been well rewarded. These Quincies were of a strange sort, and obviously not natives of Japan. That was a good bit of information to present to Malik and Kimiko...provided he ever saw them again. He thanked Senako once more as the Quincy gathered his underlings and left the tent. Katsu lay on the cot for a moment, and let himself heal. The wound was now just a scar, but he was still tired and weak. An hour or two of resting would do him some good. He closed his eyes and slipped into a light sleep.
When he came back to full consciousness, an full three hours had passed. He felt almost as good as he had when he got onto the boat, and that was definitely a major improvement. He got up from the cot and made his way over to a barrel full of water, which, after checking to ensure it was indeed clean water, he dunked his head in to. The water was icy cold, and when he pulled his head out of it, he felt much more refreshed and alert. Shaking his head like a wet dog, he stretched a bit and headed off to plan his next moves,

As the two competitors went their separate ways to battle, another one was awaiting his turn. Derips, having acquired a ragged cloak along the way via snatching one from someone laundry line, he was siting in the medical area, the cloak covering most of his body so neither the mask or his hole would draw any attention. At first he came here to seek out some actual medical attention for his arm, though unwillingly since he saw the chances of someone helping him as slim...but as he entered the area, he could feel the limit on Reiatsu lift from the ground he was in, as his skin was sizzling and moving in the familiar way, the wound mending up already.
So he just sat there, hoping no one would bother him until his hand patched up...which he was sure would be long before his fight, unless Either the Shinigami or Ulqioza proved themselves to be horribly incompetent

Katsu was hauled in on a stretcher and placed on a cot. Once he was laid out, his wounds were treated, and he was left to rest. In truth, he was in a rather sorry state. His clothes were ruined, he had bandages wrapped tightly around his wounds, and though his wounds had been fairly well treated, there was still some healing to be done. For the moment, he was resting quite peacefully.

They had beaten Malik there, if only by a a few minutes. Once there he noted that another Arrancar was within the tent. My opponent perhaps? He didn't give it too much more thought, found something to sit upon, and moved it beside Katsu's cot.
He was in rough shape, but it wasn't anything Katsu hadn't endured before, on a psychical level anyways. Malik was far more worried about the emotional injuries. He didn't want to over think anything right now, or analysis things. No, this was the time to be... Human and ignore his own injuries, as minor as they were, for now.
"Hello boy." He said softly, offering the smallest of smiles. "How are you feeling?"

Having searched for Shuichi for a a few minutes, Shirio was lucky enough to have found him near the audience. After quickly explaining the situation and getting Shuichi a face cover so he wouldn't be recognized, Shirio led Shuichi to the medical tent.
Entering the thread, Shirio ignored Derips and faced Malik and Katsu. Giving a bow as a respectful way of greeting, Shirio said to them. "Hello. I am Kaito and I figured that you might need some help so I brought a medic to help. This is Kano." before indicating Shuichi to the two of them, who gave a bow. While it was a bit too formal, it would fit with Shirio's role as a stranger to the two captains. Even so the two of them would have to be careful so they wouldn't blow their cover.

"Are you well, bruder?" A tired-appearing Kristian asked to Derips, unaware of the Arrancar's name, race or even his overall appearance, given the cloak. Still, the man was in the medical tent, so surely he'd be seeking assistance?
On the far side of the tent, Anastasia stirred and watched as Katsu was brought back into the tent not several minutes after he'd left; how horrible was this place, she thought to herself, that a man who had only just received the best medical care currently available would be so rapidly reduced to such a state?

Posting with Derips' permission Katsu grimaced as a voice pulled him out of his sleep. He recognize it, and in response tried to clench his right fist, only to find it not responding well. He grimaced and opened his eyes. "How do you think I'm doing Malik?" His voice was bitter, and why shouldn't it have been? Two losses in a row, one to a child and the other to a hollow. Katsu couldn't have been more disgusted with himself. He'd brought dishonor to the Seireitei, to his division, and to himself. "I should have gone all out from the very start. Instead I fucked around and cost myself the match." No doubt Malik was here to chastise Katsu, and the younger taichou was in no mood to hear whatever criticisms Malik had for him. He turned his head and gave Malik a sharp, serious glare. "You and Kimiko cannot lose. I've already cost us the advantage. Get out there and do what you do best, Old Man." He turned his gaze to the strangers he didn't recognize, and frowned a bit. "I've already been treated thanks...the folks they've got passing for doctors here said I can heal what's left of my injuries on my own, and I'm inclined to let them."He looked back at Malik, thought for a moment, and then said: "I saw the roster. Your enemy is an arrancar named Derips Ardyh. I fought him in the human world, that one time. He doesn't bleed, so you can't expect him to bleed out. When he changes into that hollow form that arrancars have, he gets much taller and sprouts eight extra legs." He was speaking very clearly, and taking his time. He wanted to give Malik every chance to absorb the knowledge, understand it, and plan how to utilize it. "As far as I can tell, he doesn't gain any notable boosts in power when he transforms...though if I'd have to guess, I'd say he's like me: His reiatsu levels increase. I wish I could tell you more, but that's all I've got. Do. Not. Lose." Those last three words no doubt sounding hypocritical, Katsu ceased speaking and let Malik absorb the information he'd given him.

Following suit with Katsu because I can o.o. If you'd like me to delete repost/edit so you can post first Haru, just let me know and I will o.ob Malik sat, listened and didn't interrupt as Katsu spoke, nor did he when another came and offered Katsu medical assistance. The information given to him about his opponent would be most helpful, a strategy already forming in his mind about how he could take advantage of such an opponent. At the last, he smirked and offered a rare chuckle."I could use some medical assistance." He said at last, pulling back his upper uniform, haori included, and off. He then gestured to the small wounds that went from his neck, down his chest and the one that was visible upon his right leg. "Thank you. "I did not come to lecture you, boy." Malik began, cupping his left hand over Katsu's shoulder. "But I will if you continue to be so informal with me and insist upon calling me by that rude nick name. "No, I came to tell you not to dread upon this loss. Use it to sharpen yourself in the future." He gave Katsu's shoulder a small squeeze before recoiling. "As for how my match goes, we shall see. "I did not come here for glory or to win some event, I came to protect our friends and families. I do not like fighting, though fighting is apart of our job. I do not seek it, but when I am forced to I put an end to it as quickly as I am capable and this match will be no different. "If I lose, I lose. I will not be ashamed, there is always someone better out there and I am no exception to this rule. I have lost in the past, and am sure to again in future. And like those past loses I will learn and grow from them to not make the same errors I had and better myself and those around me by sharing in the wisdom gained. "You can and should do the same."

Ulquioza followed behind Katsu's skeletal helpers slightly, figuring that they would lead him straight to a medical parlor, and he was right. Despite being naturally slow and taking his time, he got to the general vicinity a short while after his Shinigami adversary, only to see a few peoples here and a few peoples there. He didn't take mind to any of them; rather, he was only concerned about himself and his wounds for the time being. Blood stained his entire torso from chest down, his left shoulder was black and red; burnt and bloody. His forehead was still injured and he was panting nonetheless. He needed treatment, and looked for the nearest medic looking person.. or thing.

Derips simply sat there, remaining quiet and letting his skin do all the work...by the time the commotion started, the wound was pretty much completely closed, and he had complete control over his limb. As he looked up, he couldn't help but to smile slightly at the sight before him...either this Shinigami let go of all stops to topple Ulqioza, or the Hollow team had one up on the Shinigami..which meant he needed to step up his game. They could afford to lose, but he couldn't make himself look worse then the former Primera could he. As the younge Quincy approached him, asking about his wounds, Ulqioza entered the tent as well, battered, but walking...so he could peaty much confirm he was the victor. Not looking up at Senako not to blew his cover just yet, he said " No, I should be fine...might take a look at the pale guy there, he looks pretty roughed up..." while standing up and approaching Ulqizoa himself, before saying to him "Looks like you won us the advantage...congratulations on you're victory"(No problem with posting before me o.ob Seeing as a few day's past since |I enterd here, Ive Rp'd my char's healing ability working through all this time. Anyone who was looking at the newcomers to the Medical tent, would notice a pile of Nesting dolls hovering through the air and entering. This was by no means magic, but the work of one Yuubei Kokuhi, who was doing her best to carry in all the supplies she had. Obviously, it would do her little good to go into her round, carrying all of her equipment with her. She needed someone to safeguard her supplies, and instantly she sought out the aid of her fellow Quincies.
"Coming through," She called out over her full arms, skittering all the way over, trying to make a beeline for Kristian and Anastasia, and eventually just dropping her nesting dolls on the table and panting. Why did she buy all of them? Oh that was right, she needed to try and figure out who was who amongst the clues she had bought, and if by chance, they could give her some information.
She quickly setup her dolls in neat little rows on the table, and paused for a moment to glance around and noticed who was around, and began to identify them by the dolls they looked like. Namely, she glanced at Katsu, Malik the white haired pain in the butt, Ulquioza, who she immediately held back the urge to flip off, and then finally, an odd looking Arrancar who she presumed was the other male for the Hollows.
"My next opponent is Shuu... but who would that be?" She thought aloud, looking at the dolls carefully. There was little to go on, and she quietly set aside two of her kunai sets and two of her incendiary bomb sets. And of course, her little black Werecat floated atop her dolls and looked at her.
"Guess better, stupid!" Kokuhi twitched and eyed her new pet with a smirk.
"Can it shorty,"

Giving a shrug to Shuichi so he would know that he might as well help Malik, Shirio took a seat and listened to the conversation. Wondering just how much of what Malik said actually applied to vizard, Shirio wondered to himself. Deciding that was a topic that he would rather not find out, Shirio wanted to ask a bit about these arrancar. "What exactly are these arrancar?" Shirio asked the two of them. Hopefully that would allow Malik to focus more on Shirio instead of Shuichi's procedure.
---------------------------------------------------------
Shuichi meanwhile had a bad feeling about this. Deciding that his best bet would be to make his healing appear unconventional, Shuichi took a deep breath. "Why do I have the feeling that this will get me killed?" Shuichi thought to himself. Gathering reiatsu to his hands in prepartion Shuichi would use his Chiyudo and soon Malik would find that his injuries were healed. "All done." Shuichi said as he deactivated his chiyudo.

Katsu grimaced a little bit as Malik explained his feelings about the fight. it was all good and well for Malik to think that way, but Katsu couldn't accept a loss, and would not let it go. A loss meant he was weak, and that weakness was intolerable for someone charged with defending the lives and peace of the citizens of the Soul Society and the souls in the world of the living. He did not, however, interrupt Malik. It would have been very unwise. Still, when the stranger asked about the Arrancars, Katsu felt somewhat put off. What was the worse that could happen?
"Arrancars are what happens when a hollow somehow gains shinigami powers. Their Hollow powers are sealed away in a blade, and released upon command much like a shinigami's zanpakuto. Anymore than that, I really can't be sure of." With a sigh, he sat up and rolled his shoulders a bit, working out the aches and pains from his fight. "Oh, before you go, Daidouji-san...there's something else I forgot to tell you." A sly, mischevious grin slipped across his face, reminiscent of his trouble making days in the academy. "Technically, 'Daidouji Malik' lost my fight...so try not to make it two losses in a row. That'd be mighty embarrassing, wouldn't it?"

As the healing began, Malik's eyes widened a great deal, the surprise easily seen upon his features. It only lasted a second, two at the max before his features returned to their norm. He shot Katsu a look, wondered if he noticed it too before turning his attention back to the healing process.
Chiyudo.. They are runaways.
As Katsu picked himself up, Malik corrected Katsu's answer on the Arrancar. "They did not gain Shinigami powers, simply ones that are similar to our own. Their beastly nature, along with the core of their hollow abilities becomes locked within a blade, much as Katsu-Taicho explained.
"That is were the similarities end." His eyes found Katsu's again as his healing was, apparently completed, his reiastu restored to it's peak as was the nature of Chiyudo. He nodded his thanks and pulled on his uniform again. Only to be teased by Katsu's usage of his name.
He smirked. Leaned forward and...
"The real Daidouji Malik would not have lost in such an ugly fashion." Standing, he took up his things, shot the Arrancar whom had wandered in a few moments ago a look, nodded a congratulations (no reason to be a sore loser) and started to leave, but then he stopped, turned and looked back to Katsu.
"Remember, do not fret and please, come watch me if you are strong enough. I will be showing them what it means to be a monster." And with that, he left. Mewing from the animals he purchased echoing from within his bag as he did so.
[exit and yes, without taking note of the Quincy girl.]

Much happened as soon as he entered the tent, and even more than his brain could really handle. Urges and temptations ran through his cold body as both the long, white haired Shinigami simply nodded to him, and his other target, the short angry Quincy girl trotted in, and, of course, Derips offered congratulations. In response of immediate importance, he returned the minute gesture to Malik, as a thanks. His eyes skimmed mindlessly over the Quincy girl, as she was short on temper and he didn't want to start anything.. yet.
"Thank you, Primera," However earnest Ulquioza's actual thanks were, the last word was accented with snide, passive-aggressiveness. It was as though he was saying that he would be obedient while the tournament raged, but in reality they were natural enemies since that implied time.
"Hmm.. Also, there are only two Shinigami left.. I don't know about the other one, but the one just here, the one with long and white hair... His zanpakuto is a wind based one. He has a strong frontal offense but once his zanpakuto is released, he can alternate between mid-range and close combat attacks. He's extremely skilled with the Demon Arts, and has a great reiatsu sensing ability.
"Now, where can a hollow get healed around here, friend?" As though he said nothing, Ulquioza's eyes wandered off to skim over the innards of the tent, and its contents.

Noticing the look on Malik's face it was obvious to Shirio what it meant. He recognized the two of them as former shinigami. Making a mental note to get a new gigai for himself and Shuichi as soon as they could get them. That and destroy his current gigai so there won't be any evidence. Deciding that he should keep up his role for now, Shirio listened to the explanation about arrancar. Wondering how the arrancar came into being, Shirio knew that was a question for another time.
"I'm going to take a guess and say that he's your sensei. Anyway do you feel well enough to go watch his fight?" Shirio asked Katsu.
---------------------------------------------------------
Having also noticed Malik's expression Shuichi's first thought was, "Yep. This is definitely going to get me killed." Hopefully that no killing rule that the skeletons mentioned would aslo apply to him. Although knowing his luck it probably wouldn't apply to him. Listening to what Shirio asked Katsu, Shuichi said, "I can help you if you don't feel well enough." Who knows maybe if he actually helped out they would be grateful enough to lock him away for the remainder of his life instead of executing him.

Derips listened to Ulqioza carefully, his lips curling in a small smile as he heard himself being addressed as Primera... of course noting the sarcastic tone of his voice, but he was glad that he wasn't at least working against him now... he was even help full, supplying information about the opponent he fought on that fateful day...At least now he saw the grater gain they would have working together... if not for ill thought moves this could be a formidable alliance...
But that bridge was burnt, as far as it looked at least now. Things would have to be settled back in the desert once this thing is over... After he asked his question he replied "Well...that was a problem I did think about... Personally, I just needed a place where my abilities would work to get into fighting shape after a minor scuffle...best ask any of the medics here and try you're luck. Try asking those with the faintest sign of Reiatsu, normal humans or the inhabitants of the isle...cause Shinigami and Quincy might be not so quick to heal one of us...
Also, once you're healed, try and seek out Leiko, the little pup which is part of our team... She was around the zoo area last time I saw her, shouldn't be hard to find, and some interesting developments came about...be careful thought, she might be in a group of... Well, not sure of what they are. The best way to describe it fast would be rough Shinigami...be careful if you find them, there is quite a number of them. You can just ignore her, but I think we should look out for our young ones in such a hostile environment... especially since she seems to be much more then one would first presume..."
As he ended his little speech, he saw the other Shinigami, with long white hair nod towards Ulqioza before heading out of the tent. Seeing how it was his turn as far as he knew, he once again spoke "Anyway, thank you for the advice...Sounds like a formidable challenge...Hopefully Ill do as well as you did...friend", his voice also having an different hint in it, partly sarcastic, but also a bit... sad in a sense. After that being said he exited the tent as well, unwrapping himself from the cloak, and stuffing it in between his own attire...never know when it could come in handy. (exit)

Katsu smirked a little bit at Malik's remark. It was nice to know that even at his worst, Katsu could still get under the old man's skin. Still, the look that Malik had given Katsu before, while the stranger had been healing him, made Katsu uneasy. He'd know Malik long enough to be able to tell when something was up. He looked to the two strangers as the talkative one spoke up again. Smiling a bit, Katsu shook his head in response to the man's queries. "No thank you. I've changed my mind. Since you were so good as to help my commander, could you patch me up too please?" He was pleasant enough about it, and was careful not to allow any hints of suspicion show in his smile.

Recognizing Derips from before, Shirio eavesdropped on him and heard him mention about retrieving Leiko. "I'll have to do something about that." Shirio thought to himself as he kept on eye on the arrancar. "Katsu was it? I'm assuming that he's one of those arrancar." Shirio asked while indicating Ulquioza.

Hearing Katsu's request, Shuichi figured that he might as well. "I'm only healing the people who might kill me on sight if they knew more about me. What could possibly go wrong with that?" Shuichi thought to himself as he approached Katsu. Using his Chiyudo on Katsu it would only take a few minutes before Katsu's injuries were healed.

"That's my name." He said with a pleasant smile as the healer began treating his injuries. He recognized the technique immediately, having felt it used on him enough times to know. This was Chiyudo, the healing arts of the fourth division. He didn't let any recognition show on his face, but now he knew why Malik had given him that look. These two were somehow linked to the Soul Society, and that made him instantly think of Deserters. As his wounds closed up, he felt a mild relief. The pain was disappearing, and before long he'd bee back on his feet and ready to go get beat up some more. Malik had seemed suspicious of these two, but they'd been kind enough to heal the two shinigami's wounds, so he doubted that they could be all that terrible. "He's an arrancar all right, and he's the one that gave me these wounds." What Katsu didn't mention was how much he wanted a rematch.

Taking note of Katsu's reaction, Shirio had to admit that he managed to keep his head better than Malik did. Either that or he had realized earlier. Hopefully he didn't see the two of them as enemies. Although based on what he knew about Malik he most likely did see the two of them as hostiles.
Wondering how depressed Katsu felt given how his fight went Shirio said, "Well the important thing is that you don't have any serious injuries."

Katsu grimaced a bit as the stranger went straight to the heart of the matter. He was furious about the loss, but there was really nothing he could do about it. Instead, he shrugged the comment off, and rose from his cot. Picking up Gekkoubuke from where the skeletons had left it. he slipped the silk sash over his shoulders. "Thanks for your help. I'd better get going now. Since the Old Man was nice enough to watch my fight, I might as well go watch his." With a casual wave, Katsu headed for the exit of the tent, and disappeared through the doorway.

Having spied Katsu receiving a fairly rapid and great treatment from this.. Shinigami-esque person, Ulquioza approached Shuruichi cautiously, making sure to allow his presence to be known beforehand. "I don't know how your healing services work, but I would like to be treated, if you could please do that for me. If you're resistant, I can.. offer coin?" Of course, the pleading word 'please' slipped out of his mouth like turpentine. Painfully disgusting. But he didn't cringe, only a slight hesitation to and fro the word. He didn't smile, nor was his face riddled with scorn. He was neutral and calm by all means.

"Take care of yourself." Shirio said to Katsu as he returned the wave. Giving a sigh, Shirio truly wished that he could tell him who he really was an catch up on old times. Briefly considering the notion, Shirio had to admit that it was tempting although that would blow the cover of Shuichi and his teammates and that was something that he would never do.
Interupted from his musings when he heard Ulquioza's request to Shuichi, Shirio found the idea laughable. Exchanging a glance with Shuichi it seemed that the obvious answer would be a "No". However that was when Shirio had an idea to avoid a possible confrontation by nipping a potential problem in the bud. "I think we can work out a deal. But we aren't interested in money. In exchange for our aid we would like you to ignore your teammate's request and leave Leiko alone." Shirio said to Ulquioza. Getting a nod from Shuichi, Shirio was happy to see that Shuichi was okay with this offer (Although Shirio would have to give him the explanation later on.) For now Shirio observed Ulquioza to see what his reaction was.

As the two spoke out loud, Ulquioza gave them an unwaveringly absent stare, and after they spoke, he responded with a absent minded, "Who?" It would be made clear then that he was not a 'team mate' sort of guy, as most Hollow weren't savvy to loving. Not just that, but he wasn't listening to Derips in the first place, nor had he actually directly heard the name 'Leiko' even once. If Derips had said it, he would not have known in the first place. This name was new to him, not that he cared in the first place. Not once had Ulquioza intended on helping someone, as long as it didn't serve his personal agenda.Edited for color mistake.

Anastasia simply blinked at the approach of her fellow Quincy, laden with toys though she was; ah, there was a hint of envy in her eyes as she looked those toys over, yes, for they were lovely little things, dolls of incredible make that could probably have come from the homeland itself. Kristian could not join her in her envy, unfortunately for him, for he was being brushed from one figure to the next; it was difficult for the boy to justifiably help anybody who was not in crisis, as his first aid skills were not nearly to great as Senako's, and thus he really only had Yozen to assist him...
And so Anastasia lingered near to Kokuhi, eyeing her dolls slowly. "I'm afraid I've not met any of these contestants, Schwester." She finally murmured after a few moments, though her right hand was slowly leaning forward to softly stroke one of the egg-shaped dolls with a forefinger, her inner giddiness equivalent to that of a much, much younger child's.

Kokuhi looked to her sister Quincy, cousin really as she was one of the Quincy that had come with Senako, and sighed heavily as her werecat bounded up onto her head. The little create cleaned her paws, before looking down at Kokuhi and batting at her bangs. "Sucks to be you!" She chimed, looking at Kokuhi.
The young Soldier glared up at her new pet before looking to her Sister Quincy with a small smile. She could see that and an idea came into her head, considering she could not carry all of her gear with her. "Thank you oneesan, I know of a few of these people. This Hollow," She held up the doll that looked exactly like Ulquioza. "I know of, but I don't know where Senako-san or Souren-nee-san are to tell them about him. He is fast, and he likes to appear at one's sides to try and take their arms," She explained.
"Could you watch these dolls for me? I must go find Senako-san, and see if he is in a fight already," She also left the two sets of kunai and incendirary bombs with the dolls. "And, pass on more information to Senako-san and Souren-nee-chan, about some of the contestants. I have seen this one fight before," She added, holding up Malik's doll this time with a frown. She still wanted to shoot that man in the knees.

"Da, Vater Bruno is in a fight... he went off as soon as he left here..." She murmured before smiling giddily, nearly giggling as she petted the dolls softly; oh yes, she would certainly watch over them for her sister~
The girl very quite nearly did not hear Kokuhi's explanations, and nodded absentmindedly when it sounded like she owed her sister any type of response. She was quite enthralled, honestly, to the point where she did not even react to the little demon atop Kokuhi's head, as she should have per Senako's teachings. Ah, the innocence of youth~
