Moving through the medical tent, Rikou by and large ignored everybody; it was an old skill, honed by centuries of constant use, and as a result the 'little girl' went largely unnoticed by the crowd in turn, albeit save for the occasion of the kitten on his shoulder catching an eye. But this was all excess; Rikou knew where he was going, more or less, and his destination was defined to exacting detail when he managed to spot the silhouette of Shijin's female gigai. Though it wasn't exactly a distinct gigai, Rikou knew it well; he'd crafted it, after all, so why shouldn't he?
He slipped into the 'private' area easily enough, nodding to Shijin before smiling to the bed-ridden Shikome. "Congratulations; I heard about your win."

Within the cloth walled room, Shikome was far from bedridden. Ot was true, her young male gigai was sprawled atop the cot, but the artificial body had taken all of three wounds and none of them life threatening, even if they had been made upon Shikome's natural body. The spiky blond hair rustled as Shikome turned her head to face Rikou, relocating the bright blue eyes of the gigai from the ceiling to the girl now before her. Of course, Shikome knew that it was not a girl as she had Rikou had interacted much at this point within these shells. It helped that he had chosen one which resembled her own, though feminine and older. Still, it was not Rikou that Shikome had wanted to see so she huffed at him and resumed staring at the ceiling with a bored expression reflecting in her eyes though the lower portion of her face was covered with the simple cloth mask.
Shijin explained her disinterest. "She's waiting for Kiki. Shikome wanted her to heal her injuries last night so that we could leave and look for Leiko, but Kiki had patients who were worse off already." Shikome huffed again, acting much like a child she was representing in the gigai. Then she looked back at Rikou. Or rather, the thing attached to Rikou. "When did you get a cat?"

At Shijin's explanation, Rikou nodded briefly before turning to Shikome and smiling slightly; the answer to her question was simply a shrug, which the kitten took as a cue to leap from his shoulder to the cot, staring intently at Shikome as she slunk up alongside the boy's body, eyes fixed intently on the cloth mask Shikome wore; the kitten knew not what dastardly things lived neath that cloth, but it knew those things moved weirdly when the kid made noise, and the cat would be sore tempted to bat at the movements when next they happened.
"It affixed itself to me from some bushes a bit ago; I intend to study it over time, to see if our hosts have altered it in some way as they have some of the other creatures hereabouts." There was a little more detail in the answer than she'd asked for, but Rikou felt she might appreciate a little extra; after all, the girl was quite curious, whether she liked to admit it or not. He attributed it to her Onmitsukido background.
Sighing slightly, more as though tired than anything else, Rikou moved to sit at the edge of the cot, the smile more or less fading from the gigai's face as the Vizard turned to examine Shikome with an even glance. "You intend to find Leiko again. What will you do, if you don't mind my asking, when you do? Did you leave her on well terms, so she will welcome you with open arms? Or will you fight her? And what of that annoying Arrancar that thought to order her about? Do you have a plan at all?"

Shikome knew about a cat's tendency well enough. There were as many stray cats and there were kids when she had been a street rat in the Rukongai. She had no fondness for the animals despite Leiko's jungle cat form and her gloved hand quickly moved to push the cat off the cot though she was looking at Rikou. Even if she had no fondness for the animal, she certainly didn't envy being in line for one of Rikou's experiments. They seemed to end poorly for the test subject one way or the other. Just look at what had happened to Leiko.
Speaking of Leiko, she seemed to be on everyone's mind, not just her own. Not that Shikome wanted to think about it because thinking turned to brooding and brooding turned to plotting and plotting turned to doing and doing turned to regret. Or that was how it had gone the first two times. But what could Shikome do? The problem was there and it wasn't going to go away if she ignored it. One way or the other, Shikome felt she would meet with Leiko again whether she wanted to or not and she did, but the question was whether it would be with open arms or clenched fist on Leiko's part. Well, paws, feelers, whatever. The latter seemed more likely. They hadn't left on the best of terms. She told Rikou as much.
"It may come to fighting. We didn't leave on the best of terms," she admitted. What she didn't say was that she didn't know if she could fight Leiko and not for the reasons a normal opponent would have. Fear of her strength which Shikome knew well of didn't matter. What did matter was Shikome felt Leiko deserved retribution of some sort. At the same time, Shikome liked living and being in one piece. "Still, if she gains control of her nastier half, then perhaps we wont. Wronged or not, Leiko is a gentle soul. As for the Arrancar, I have no qualms tearing him limb from limb. Word has it that he lost rather nastily to the Shinigami. He can't be all that tough."

At Shikome's explanation, Rikou nodded slowly. The potential for a losing battle, plus an unscheduled fight against of all things, an Arrancar, and one that didn't bleed if he recalled correctly. And if it wound up being Leiko would side with the Arrancar? Rikou didn't care to weigh their chances in such an occasion.
The kitten mewled as it was tossed off the cot, but would not be discouraged; it leaped back a heartbeat later before curling over it's own side, laying on its back with paws spread, displaying it's belly while leveling its massive eyes up at Shikome: a flawless trap, one that always, always worked.
"And assuming we draw Leiko to our goals, either by force or her will, what then? It won't be long before she begins to hunger again, and unfortunately, Hollow do not gather nourishment from foodstuffs as do we. Sweet a girl though she is, nothing can fight a winning battle against their own nature. She would eventually make a mistake, and then she would bring the Shinigami down on us."

Shikome snorted. Loudly. "I'm far more likely to bring them about than she is." Had he forgotten the encounter with Llyr? She hollowfied a Shinigami simply because she could. Granted, Shikome didn't realize that Rikou had found the orb in her hiding spot before they had left for the tournament, but given the chance, Shikome would likely repeat the process over and over again. Which brought up a question in Shikome's mind because she had no answer for the one that Rikou had posed. "Do Arrancar need to feed like other Hollow? Or are they like Shinigami?" And then... "Where the hell is Kiki at?" Suddenly Kiki! The female was back in her male gigai and burst through the entrance as if on cue. "You rang," she chirped happily. Far too happily. Shikome glowered at her.

At Shikome's assertion, Rikou simply grunted; he hadn't forgotten, as that was nearly impossible, but he did choose to not consider the incident; he hadn't been in the best state of mind, and preferred to not recall the event. In any case, he was able to shift his thoughts from the memory with Shikome's question, which in turn earned a thoughtful squint from the girl-bodied Rikou.
"From what little I gathered of them, Arrancar most likely subsist on reishi, albeit in much larger amounts than small Hollow. Likely as not they can and should use other items to supplement this 'diet', if you can call it such, but it may not be strictly necessary." Some of this, of course, would be difficult to hear over the subsequent asking for the other Vizard, and then said Vizard entering the 'room' rather noisily, but the overall gist would be clear, to be sure.
Meanwhile, the kitten had rolled to it's feet with a huff, the fact that Shikome would not be paying it attention self-evident. With nary a mewl of effort, the kitten hopped toward Rikou, scrabbling up the side of the gigai with rapid little steps, and then used the faux body's shoulder as a platform from which to leap at Shijin, and hopefully into the similarly female'd Vizard's arms; if not, well, little kitten claws would do to latch onto the front of Shijin's clothes, and surely a piteous mewl for assistance would not go unheeded?

Shikome held the injured arm out to Kiki who trotted to her side humming something or another as she went. "Where were you," Shikome asked with a childish huff, ignoring Rikou's answer for the moment. "There are other injured people here, ya know," Kiki replied and stuck her tongue out at Shikome before taking the injured arm into her hands for examination. While Kiki did her thing, Shinjin was quite busy intercepting the kitten which had flown across the room at him; his face was as impassive as ever though he patted the creature on the head. Shikome didn't seem to notice the interaction though she had turned her gaze back to Rikou as she bluntly stated, "So if she does decide to return to us, make her an arrancar. You can do that, right?"

With the now happily purring kitten in Shijin's arms, Rikou was free to ignore the beast he weighed Shikome's question, watching with only mild interest as Kiki began her examination of the Gigai's arm. Small, perfectly-aligned white teeth pulled about a lower lip that was entirely too childish as it sucked itself between them, and the Vizard fell into an old habit, mindlessly gnawing at the flesh of the body as his mind meandered. "The transformation process is simple, probably more simple than the first one was. The problem is, the procedure tends to end in the Arrancar attacking. I attribute part of that problem to the fact that fewer Hollow were willing to be experimented on than Shinigami, but nevertheless that fact remains."
Naturally, Rikou's voice had lowered for the explanation; the time had come to begin throwing about words that were very noticeable, very attention-getting, and so a lowered volume was called for. "If you can get her to willingly oblige a third attempt at being made subject to my creations, then the basic answer is yes, I can change her. Even if she does not agree I can, but that would be far more dangerous for everybody involved."

Shikome was silent after Rikou had answered. What could be seen of her gigai's face was contemplative as Kiki moved on from the injured arm to the gash across her right side. Could she get Leiko to agree to a third transformation? Leiko had given everything up the moment she accepted the first, and very unnecessary, first transformation at Shikome's behest. Leiko did everything for Shikome in the past even though Shikome had kidnapped her at blade point. If one were to judge the situation based on the end of their last meeting, the simple answer would be no. Leiko would not agree to a third transformation and she would likely attack Rikou and Shikome even if they did not try; Shikome at the very least though she had been left unscathed last time. Shikome had chalked that up to luck and a lot of skill in bluffing though what she had said had been true.
Still, there was always a chance that Leiko would agree to it if the Hollow returned to her genial and meek nature. It was odd to have seen a Hollow in tears over supposedly causing a girl to twist her ankle, but that was simply the type of person Leiko was. Or had been. Shikome suspected that the two personalities remained because the method of her second transformation, the one Shikome had thought left Leiko for dead when she disappeared before her very eyes, but of course, it had not. Everything seemed to hinge on what happened in their next encounter.
"I guess we'll just have to wait and see."

At the proclamation of 'wait and see', Rikou grunted; the least desirable method of experiment progression was 'wait and see', and it quite nearly chafed to be told to do it for a matter he honestly had no more stake in than doing it to avoid being beaten. Again.
Soul Society's most wanted criminal, everybody.
With a low sigh, Rikou half turned from Shikome and Kiki. "So be it. You'll be able to find me again, no doubt, when you wish to continue the conversation; until then, I will be pursuing my own goals. Until then, Ototo-san."
As Rikou began to breach the curtains partitioning the Vizard from the rest of the medical area, the kitten would mewl before leaping from Shijin to Rikou's shoulder, hitching a ride to the next destination, and presumably the destinations to come.

"He's so moody," Shikome grumped after Rikou left. The only reply she got was Kiki giggling as she finished repairing Shikome's injuries; Shijin was busy brooding in the corner. Once Kiki was done, Shikome slithered off the cot and on to her feet. She had things to do of her own, not limited to just finding Leiko either. The trio departed as soon as Kiki had wiggled back into her gigai.
