He eventually found his way here, learning the function of the bag he bought along the way. Interesting object to say the least. He had slipped everything he could fit through the opening inside its holds and otherwise made a makeshift pack with his sash, which he really didn't to wear to keep his pants up anyways, his own belt did that just fine. After tying the not so tiny bag to his belt, and slinging his pack over a shoulder, he stumbled across the arenas.
Asking those he bumped into if they knew where he could acquire healing, they pointed out a medical tent in which a pair of companions to a tournament combatant had turned into care center for those whom were injured. A noble gesture and a sign of true dedication to one's practice. A doctor's code required tending to the sick and injured, no matter who they were after all.
An example he found quite, enlightening.
However, yet again he was distracted from getting tended to, his fear of doctors truly runs deeper then even he is aware, as he heard that the first round of matches between the Shinigami and Hollow teams had began. Clicking his tongue, he quickly made his way to the stands, in where he started to sense things had already started off.
Finding a seat near the front, Malik seated himself and saw that it was Katsu who was fighting an apparently regenerated Ulquioza, that annoyed him. After all that work to injury him as much as he had, and he shows up here without so much as a visible scratch. For now, he would simply watch and not announce himself.
Shrugging a bit, he opened up his pack and took out one of his packed lunches, since he couldn't aid his comrade in arms in the bout he may as restore his own energies by having a bite to eat. And by chewing into a face of what appeared to be his acquaintance Aki, he did just that.
And instantly wished he had some cold milk to wash it down. Albeit, oh god was it tasty. ^~^

Quickly hurrying from the item tent, Ryuu met with Taiki and after handing him the bag of wonders which held the dolls for safekeeping and making sure that all of his grenades were safely secured to him, Ryuu would hurry to the audience area.
Eventually finding a comftorable seat, Ryuu would begin to munch on some candy (which was stolen from another unsuspecting child who hadn't even noticed), and watch Hinoiri's doll attack the masked man. "This is very entertaining." Ryuu said as he chuckled to himself.

Kurisuna marveled at the arena and its audience; so many eyes, all transfixed upon the hostile terrain before them. Her own strayed momentarily to regard her ''teammate's'' battle, and regardless of what it connoted for her group, she delighted in seeing him worse for wear; his opponent(s) seemingly had him on the defensive, from what she could tell at a mere glance. What a bizarre creature he faced.
Her gaze rove over the spectators, and she caught sight of Ryuu once more; there was Malik, too, completely recognizable in his blanched attire, a tad farther away. ''Keep your eyes on him,'' she murmured, wrenching the bag from his grasp and retrieving from within its depths the plain leather whip. ''I think I'll go see our friend.''
With that in mind, she shuffled past foul-mouthed onlookers till she stood roughly six feet behind the Shinigami, and cracked her lash right by his ear.

Half the Aki head was gone now, and his eyes were fixated upon the Arrancar and Katsu as they fought back and forth. At the moment, they seemed fairly even. But, he knew something about that Arrancar's method, if he had to, he would release and slink into any shadows he could find.
Katsu though, he only knew a little about his abilities. Energy related if memory serves from their time they fought the giant, which swallowed Katsu whole. He was quick and brutishly strong though, for one his age. Though, he fought like a brute. No elegance at all in his form nor his strikes. Easy to read for one who knew how, that could be his downfall in the end.
It was best for the younger Shinigami if he just finished the beast he was fighting now, but Malik knew he wouldn't. Katsu was half an animal himself and enjoyed a good scuffle too much. Perhaps he would try to warn him of exactly he was up against.
But not now, it was rude to talk or shout in this case, with your mouth full of food.
He started to swallow another mouthful when a crack lashed out next to his ear, not more than an inch away. He jumped, nearly choking as he did so, his sword zipping free from its wooden home and pointed at the one whom now has his utmost attention.
"Izayoi-dono," his sword tip lowered, ever so slightly. "What a pleasure it is to see you again." His ear was buzzing, which would cause him a bit of trouble with his balance if she wished to fight, something he believed their secretive host would not abide by. He thought of something that might lighten the mood.
"Would you care for some lunch, my my late grandmother used to say food made every occasion more enjoyable, more so when it was a show." He gestured to his side, the packed lunch was sitting open upon the bench where he had been sitting.

Intently watching the human fight, Ryuu had to admit that the guy's jumping abilities were impressive. Smiling once the explosion went off, Ryuu raised an eyebrow once the man made an earth spike rise out from the ground. "Interesting." Ryuu remarked to himself. Noticing the young boy who had followed Kurisuna Ryuu would say to him while extending his bag of candy, "Hello. Want some candy?" Afterall if there was one way to gain a kid's trust it was with candy...or violence, both could work.
However his attention (along with a good portion of the crowd)was quickly diverted to Kurisuna and Malik once he had stood up and drew out his sword. Recognizing both of them Ryuu wondered what he had just missed and decided to keep on eye on them to see if something else interesting would happen.

''The pleasure is all mine,'' she told him with a smile. Admittedly, though, Kurisuna could've thought her move out a tad better than she'd done; her lips drooped to stoicity as the lash of her whip, disconnected by his flourish, fell stiffly to the row beneath her, the weapon ruined beyond repair. She watched it go, then looked at him, and after a second or three, finally resolved to hop over her designated seat and pick up the spare bento. ''You owe me a new whip.''
Chii, meanwhile, was having a world of fun glaring down the pack of sweets offered to him. He did take it, in the end; the entire thing, actually, though he did not partake in eating them, instead drawing his glare up towards Ryuu. ''How confident are you?''

Slipping his blade home with a small clink, and watched what befell Aki's whip, and gave a 'heh' sound of a laugh, which was pushing it even for him before turning around and sitting again. "We shall see. Though perhaps in future, you will choose not to gain one's attention by causing ear trauma." A jest, though not a good one. Me oh mai Malik was in a mood today. Giving his right ear a rub however his attention turned back to the show, if only for a moment.
Katsu was in trouble, even if it was minor at this point and released his zanpakuto, unleashing a volley of energy toward his advisory. He couldn't blame him to be honest, though he personally would have rather done such an attack much closer, removing any chance of dodging the barrage. Still it could still be effective.
"So... How did the rest of the auction go?" He asked as he reached for a bit of food. "I would have stayed longer, however I wished to warn my comrade down there about his match up. Still was too late however.
"I do hope the boy finishes him off before the monster releases, otherwise he will be in for a headache."

Wondering why the young child was glaring at the candy, Ryuu wondered if it was the type of candy. However he was proven wrong when Chii took the bag and asked him a question. "Of course I'm confident. My father always did tell me that you need to be confident if you want to succeed." Ryuu replied to Chii while giving him a warm smile. Of course the comment about his father was a lie, not that Ryuu really did care.
Noticing Derips, Ryuu wondered what exactly it was. It seemed to be an odd mix between a human and a hollow. "Well that's something you don't see everyday. Anyway what about you kid? Are you confident?" Ryuu said while turning his attention back to Chii.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile Taiki after being given the items for safekeeping and experimenting with the bag, decided to watch the fights. Finding a good spot that let him watch each of the battles, Taiki was turning his attention to the shinigami's fight. Watching the release, Taiki made a mental note to inform Ryuu about Katsu's release.

''You ought to have been more alert, Daidouji-san. As a participant... no, as a Shinigami... I imagine quite a few of us would've reveled the opportunity to cause far more than ear trauma,'' came the witch's scathing retort. She sat down in a huff, and likewise took to watching his comrade's battle, as a spectator ought to do; still, it was quite evident that Kurisuna hadn't appreciated his remark, and the loss of a favored weapon had similarly done nothing but dampen her otherwise excitable mood. Well, at the very least, she was appropriately seated to witness a Soul Reaper in combat.
''You cost all of us thousands of yen.'' The Shinigami's blade had since morphed into a wickeder shape. A barrage of spiritual projectiles burst forth from the weapon; alas, his opponent, a creature the likes of which she'd seen many months ago, evaded most deftly and appeared rather unscathed. Her fingers clenched into tight fists, and she gave an unwholesome shiver. All that succeeded developed too fast to comment on. ''Monster, you say...''
At the opposite end, Chii chuckled humorlessly. ''You won't,'' the boy curtly stated, his black-rimmed eyes narrowed still. Come to think of it, the combatant before him felt vaguely familiar; he would not ask, however, for these sorts of answers were seldom truthful. ''As confident as I need to be.''

I waited to double check with Ki, but you can't have npcs you just make up on the spot tend to your wounds. You need to seek out either a pc or a player approved npc. If you wish to be mended up in this fashion, this thread is still open and two approved medic npc are still there. He couldn't help but snicker, every so slightly at Aki's response. She was true, he couldn't deny it. The Quincy girl had it out for him, for whatever reason.. Perhaps she had a crush on him and he rejected her without knowing as such, wasn't unheard of.. Yes that must be it, he would need to speak to the child later on and explain he was a married man. Any of the Hollow would no doubt wish to gut him as well, not that he could blame them, he would do the same if given the chance. As for anyone else..."Thousands of yen, I apologize. Generally I'm not used to shopping under such limited conditions and not have personally cost you a coin otherwise. Perhaps I shall replace your whip as compensation. "As for these 'quite a few', whomever do you mean?" He asked with a coy expression, turning his gaze upon her before seeing the Arrancar unleash his latest counter attack.
He would wait for an answer, of any sort before turning his gaze back to the melee below and go on about monsters, ghouls and well hollow. For she seemed.. Quite interested in the subject, excited even. "Yes, that one there is an Arrancar. A twisted and tormented soul which once resembled a beast of some sort before reshaping into a more humanoid state. "But he can unleash that monstrous side again at any time if he so choice to release his power. The Young Captain needs to make sure that doesn't happen, he needs to disarm the beast and carve him like a boar. And be quick about it. "I would."

Coming into the audience area Shirio began to look around for a seat. However upon noticing that one of the current matchups was Katsu's Shirio immediately moved closer to that match and upon finding a seat, would promptly sit down and watch to see how much Katsu had grown up.

Chuckling at the kid's response Ryuu said, "Thanks for your support. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside." Turning his attention back to the fight Ryuu made a note of what was going on before asking Chii, "So who do you think will suceed if it isn't me then?"
---------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile Taiki had to admit that he was enjoying the show. Both of the fighters were very skilled and Taiki had to admit that he wouldn't mind testing himself against one of them. However that would have to be for another time. Hearing Malik mention the fighters, Taiki turned his attention to Malik and realized that he too was a shinigami."I should probably listen to see if they mention anything interesting." Taiki thought to himself as he began to pay more attention to Kurisuna and Malik.

The Black Rose was, certainly, not a woman composed of virtue, the essence of which she was entirely bereft of. No, one would not catch her with good on the mind; Kurisuna was a maelstrom of innumerable vice, a foul, degenerate creature whose entire being had long since devoted itself to the causation of suffering. So what was she doing, engaging in idle chatter with a Shinigami? Her fragile and capricious psyche demanded that she no longer waste time with pointless deceit, for she could not risk an attempt on his life in her current state, and had already alluded to a darker, unwholesome side. ''People have been leering at you.''
Ouch. Her voice was wavering. A familiar depression swept over the woman, akin to the bout she’d experienced after disembarking. She regarded the battle before her with a gnawing envy, and then looked to Hiroshin's match. Still unfolding. Not her turn yet. Now, she couldn't even look at Malik. He reeked of that delightful, rusty smell of blood. What had he just said, even? Ah, right. The so-called monster. ''I've seen something like it before. In... Kyoto? Yeah... yeah, that was it.''
God, and then he talked of carving things.
''If not you, who else but her?'' Chii remarked aggressively, the ongoing fight of no importance to the red-haired child. Only one match was of interest, and it involved Ryuu before him; as such, the Bount had his full, bitter attention.

Miyagi had finally finished tucking away all his knew weapons, and was getting used to moving about with them. As he wandered the island, he started hearing a lot about a fight going on in the Arena. With nothing better to do, he bought some snacks and then headed for the stands to watch the proceeding battles. In the Arena, a white haired man with a massive sword was fighting another one of those strange half hollow half human creatures, but that wasn't what caught his attention. No, the person he spotted was none other than that damned smiling bandit, the bastard who'd gotten him into this mess! After scowling for a moment, he resigned himself to his fate and took a seat next to Ryuu. "It's about time I found you, Smiling Bandit." he said in a polite, cordial voice.

"Yes I know. Kyoto, when?" Well, there was another stray thought proven true, she was spiritually aware and judging from the lack of a cross on her wrists and her general attire, he gauged she was not a Quincy, she was like that silver haired young woman whom kept flirting with him. Curious, curious indeed.
As for the bit about people leering at him, that was obvious. He had felt like eyes were on him from the moment he walked off the ship, the paranoid feeling of having someone monitoring his every single move. Though she couldn't have known that feeling, so he did what he could to see what she meant. Reaching over his left shoulder, with his right arm, he took hold of his braided hair and pulled it over his shoulder, in doing so he looked over it and scanned the eyes of everyone he could see. He then faked a wince, brought his right hand up to the wound upon the right hand side of his neck and turned his gaze over his right shoulder and repeated.
A young man, seemingly young man, brown hair mid length, matching eyes. His attention was upon Malik himself and his female companion. Curious when an explosion just filled the arena via Katsu's wolves.
Malik leaned forward, his hands folded against one another, his fingers propped up beneath his chin as he gazed at the aftermath. Judging from Katsu's expression, that was not something he did on his own accord, he has overstretched himself. A foolish blunder which has cost him his sword and a wound. However his opponent is also wounded, from Katsu's own blade which now lay aside.
Analysis, the Espada is quicker, though his moves are sloppier than Katsu's. Both are wounded, bleeding will occur weakening them both slightly, however Katsu enjoys to boast feeling next to no pain. Slight advantage.
Both are tiring at roughly the same rate, Espada yet to release. Close call.
"He needs to get inside those swords." With that said, Malik stood, cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted louder than he had in quite a long time, since the middle of the war to be honest.
"KATSU!!" Ignoring the honorifics would no doubt gain his attention, let alone referring to him as his given name. "Make him fight your fight, not his! Unleash the animal within!"
He then promptly sat down and gazed at the remains of his packed lunch nonchalantly and quite humbly complained. "These are never quite large enough."

Wincing as he saw Katsu get hit by his own attack and the subsequent injuries that came with it, Shirio hoped that Katsu was okay. Relieved once he saw that Katsu was still good enough to fight, Shirio had to admit that he was taken off guard by Malik's outburst."He really has grown up." Shirio thought to himself as he watched Katsu fight.

Well Chii had confirmed that he was working with his opponent, which dispelled any final doubts that Ryuu had about who he was fighting. Smiling at the boy Ryuu said to him, "So why do you think that she'll be the one to win?" However that was when the two of them were interupted by Miyagi.
Ryuu did indeed remember him, it hadn't been too long ago when they had met and Ryuu had taken the time the research a bit about him. He did have a nice track record which had impressed Ryuu. There was arson, aggravated robbery, arson, murder and burning down an entire city which meant (Dun Dun Dun Dunnnnnn) even more arson. However Ryuu wasn't happy with him for giving out his alias. "You know I would rather not have you blow my cover. It's just a thing I have with my recruits." Ryuu said with a sigh.
A bit sad that he had to take things more seriously for the moment, Ryuu turned his attention back to Chii. "Now I do hope that you aren't planning on spoiling the big suprise for your Malovently Maniacal Marauding Masked Mistress. It'll spoil all of the fun...plus you owe me for the candy. Ryuu said. Hopefully the child would follow his request. It certainly would make things much more fun and intersting.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Watching the shinigami get hit by his own attack, Taiki made a mental note of how long it was before the wolves detonated. Catching sight of Malik looking back at him, Taiki would smile at him and wave before turning his attention back to the fight. "Well thats interesting. One of these creatures attacked Kyoto." Taiki thought to himself.

Thing was, she did know that feeling; that pervasive, vexing impression that gnawed at the edges of Kurisuna's conscious, burdening her with the knowledge she was not only sought after, but currently vulnerable, and in such a manner impairing her ability to plan, her ability to cope, her ability to think. Paranoia was such a debilitating condition, and her stomach had been in a perpetual state of unrest since the beginning... but this was something she could, and had lived with for a dozen years. She no longer considered it at her detriment--she was more delusional than that.
''More than a good year ago, I'd say,'' she answered slowly, tentatively. The bursting wolves sent her hair whipping back, and the two fighters finally bestowed upon one another significant injuries; still, the woman remained uncharacteristically straight-faced, all enthrallment pertaining to the current matches dulled, her mind honed in on one thing and one thing only: her own.
''If you'll excuse me for a moment...'' She could nip it in the bud. She had the means to. Standing at an imposing 7ft tall, she nodded to Malik stiffly, and then ascended to the middle row; there, she would head down the aisle towards Chii, her hand clenched around a vast multitude of strawberry seeds, all of which she tossed at Ryuu to catch his attention soon as she was in range. ''You.''
''The masked bandit?'' Oh, how delightfully convenient. Chii knew he recognized him; the boy allowed himself a sinister chuckle and smirked, stolid no longer. It made sense, from the Bount's cleaver, to his mildly infuriating smile. ''What fun. Ryuu, was it? You ought to keep a tighter lid on your associates.'' The child's smirk broadened into a full-blown grin, and he tilted his head towards Miyagi. ''Are you going to let him off this easy? I'll tell you what... I won't tell my mistress if you hurt him. A lot. You know... punish the guy as a man of your renown ought to do.''
As the woman in question registered in his line of sight, Chii went quiet; best see how things develop, lest one of them lash out at him.

As Ryuu and the boy had conversed, Miyagi had removed one of his big, forward curving knives from its sheath...mostly to play with. He couldn't help it. Boredom was a huge problem for him. He tossed the knife from hand to hand, spun it around a bit, and generally ignored Ryuu and the strange boy. However, when the boy spoke, Miyagi's ears perked up a bit. His eyes narrowed ever so slightly as the strange boy tried to blackmail Ryuu. It was comical, if not highly irritating, and Miyagi couldn't help but cast a side long glance at the Smiling Bandit. In a quiet voice that only Ryuu would have heard, he whispered "Consider it very carefully my friend. You may find it hard to smile if I carve off your lips and melt your eyes out of their sockets." Miyagi had made the statement as glibly and easily as if he were commenting on the pleasant weather they were enjoying, but he meant every word. As the odd woman throwing seeds approached, Miyagi stoood and wandered a few steps away, leaning against one of the railings to better observe the fight.

He was taken aback, slightly. Katsu's temper had gotten the best of him, however he would still need to be punished, or threatened at least, for that. Oh yes, he wouldn't forget about that. What would be come up with...? Oh yes, that would do, oh that was better.. A smirk spread upon his tin lips. Oh yes, I like that all the more, that will do splendidly.
Resuming his pose from before, his hands pressed beneath his chin he continued to watch the events unfold before his eyes as Aki spoke to him, he didn't so much as cast her a glance. No, now he was seemingly absorbed in Katsu's match, to see if he could actually fight and not just claim to do so. "A year, interesting." A pause, a lengthly one as he waited until she was already gone to add to the illusion he wasn't paying any attention whatsoever. "Yes, yes of course."
However, all the while out of the corner of his eye he watched her stand, and move away. Not once did she so much as take a bite of food. He observed. Her interests were elsewhere, on her own match and the matches she may be faced against in future.
She leeched me for information. Clever, very clever. Though he hadn't really given her any details on his own abilities, or those of his comrade he did give her knowledge, while incredibly vague, of an Arrancar's. She like him was here to compete and no doubt, win. He would not have given information about his own skills to her willingly.
But.. There was always a but.
She sat her, 'watched me'. It is possible she picked up upon my ability to read others. That could be troubling, for now she will look for it. Though mounting a defense against such a thing is not as simple as some claim.
It will be interesting to see what she comes up with.
And so, he sat in silence. Watching a fight, whilst being knowingly watched. The watcher having waved to him just a moment ago, he didn't return the greeting. Not that he would to someone he even knew. Another spy. This crowd is full of them.

Taken aback by Katsu's comments to Malik nearly as much as he was, Shirio had to admit that he might have overestimated how much Katsu had grown up just a little bit. But then again everyone loses their temper every now and then. Hopefully Katsu wouldn't let it get to him too much and would instead focus on swiftly finishing off his opponent.

Chuckling a bit at the child's response, Ryuu had to remind himself that he still was just a kid. Plus the supposed leverage that he had on Ryuu wouldn't get him to do much. "Well it's a first time offense so he'll get a pass for now. Plus if I hurt every one of my recruits when they made a mistake they wouldn't want to follow me." Ryuu said with a chuckle. Ryuu did try to pragmatic in how he led the bandits and punishing his underlings for mistakes and failures was something he had learned not to do a long time ago.
However Ryuu did have to admit that Miyagi would have to learn a lesson or two in respect. This was proven even more by Miyagi's delightful promise to him. Breaking out into laughter as soon as Miyagi finished his death threat Ryuu said to him between laughs, "I knew there was a reason I recruited you." It was true though, Miyagi did have guts and plenty of potential. Managing to calm himself down in time to be assaulted by strawberry seeds, Ryuu chuckled a bit. Brushing most of them off Ryuu picked the remaining things off of him and bundled them into one hand. "Yes me. Mememememe, but as you can see, he and now she makes this into we. But i'll tell you what, the winner can buy the other a cup of tea." Ryuu said with a chuckle as he threw the much smaller bundle of strawberry seeds back at Kurisuna. It wouldn't take much to see that Ryuu was quite excited for the upcoming fight.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Giving a frown at Malik's lack of response, Taiki wondered why he was being so cold. Deciding that it wouldn't be worth the trouble to even attempt to start a conversation with the man, Taiki turned his focus back to the fight. Giving a slight chuckle at Katsu's response to Malik's encouragement, Taiki wondered how much longer he would last against the other creature.

''That's what I thought.'' It hadn't been leverage. Chii knew he hadn't the gall to attack his underling right then and there. He disagreed, as well; fear was ample motivation, and a substantially more reliable thing to command. ''Your methods are… disappointing.'' Better leave it at that. If the Smiling Bandit, whose reputation seemed largely founded on hype, allowed those mangy recruits of his the luxury to commit numerous mishaps without proper reprimand, so be it.
The thing about strawberry seeds is that they were almost inconspicuously small; it would take more than that, to say the least, to rid him of every single one, when they would snag in his hair, and more importantly the back of his collar as she watched him from behind, glaring harshly, lips almost sneering. ''What are you on about?'' she asked Chii, ignoring the other.
''Your opponent appears to be this ''Smiling Bandit'' we've met.''
Kurisuna held her silence, stern, unblinking, and decidedly unfazed by this keen revelation of her opponent’s identity, almost as if it’d failed to register; through the cheering of the crowd, the seemingly incessant battles that, in spite of having just begun, felt everlasting, and the perpetual impression that she was being observed, Kurisuna simply did not care, at least not currently: she needed to get out of there, away from the tumult, and away from Malik’s bloodied self. She jeered as Miyagi placed some distance between Ryuu and his person. ''That so... I was just going to head out for a walk. How about you ditch your dog and join me?''

Miyagi frowned a bit as he watched the fighting below. It was brutal stuff really, and he felt grateful that he himself had not been summoned to this tournament. If he had, he would have been slaughtered in the first round, regardless of if he'd been fighting the odd half-hollow or the sword wielding lunatic who seemed to have no respect at all for the Man in the Stands. Still, it was an interesting thing to watch, and he didn't bother paying much attention to Ryuu. After all, why should he? The Smiling Bandit was a big boy. He could take care of himself.

He sat unflinching, unblinking. Katsu appeared to have the upper hand for a few moments, his swordplay and combination of his zanpakutō had the Arrancar running. But was he actually wounding him? Apparently not, by a miracle of some sort or the other.
And then it happened, just what he was afraid of. Damn. Malik stood, his hands forming into tight fists at his side as he watched the Arrancar transformation take shape. "HE HIDES WITHIN THE SHADOWS, KEEP HIM AWAY FROM THE SHADOWS! HIT HIM, HIT HIM HARD! NOW YOU FOOL!" This shouldn't have happened, Katsu should've been able to end this awhile ago. What happened?
How the hell could a Captain of the former Gotei 13, be played with like a toy by a beast in which Malik had no trouble in dealing with once it stopped running away. It was laughable, insulting... Angering.
"DO NOT LOSE!"

Relieved when it seemed to Shirio that Katsu had taken the advantage, Shirio waited for the final blow. However it appeared that his opponent wasn't out of the fight yet. Watching him manage to recover and change, Shirio wondered what had just happened. "Is that like a zanpakutou's release?" Shirio thought to himself.
Once again suprised by Malik's response, Shirio felt his blood run cold. While he didn't know Malik personally, he knew enough about Malik based on his reputation to know that something was seriously wrong if he was shouting. Worrying for Katsu's safety and wondering why his opponenet should be kept away from the shadows, all Shirio could do was watch.

Rolling his eyes at Chii's criticism of his leadership method, Ryuu ignored it and listened in on their conversation. Giving an overly theatrical sigh once Chii had revealed his identity, Ryuu would say to the boy, "Your no fun." Watching Kurisuna's reaction, Ryuu couldn't tell if she was just good at covering up what she felt and was suprised or if she truly didn't care.
Chuckling at Kurisuna's offer, Ryuu decided that he might as well kill some time. "Why I would love to. Does that mean that you'll be ditching your dog as well?" Ryuu asked Kurisuna as he stood up. Motioning to the exit Ryuu would say to her, "After you." and follow her out. However before he would go he would manage to make eye contact with Taiki and give him a signal although he doubted if anyone other than the two of them would notice.

Watching the fight even more, Taiki had to admit that the shinigami's opponent was a fighter. Taking note of his skills, Taiki nearly missed Ryuu's signal. Noticing that he was leaving with the Black Rose Witch, Taiki wondered what was going on. "This'll be interesting." Taiki muttered to himself so softly that no one would be able to hear it over the sounds of the crowd. Taking note of who else other than Ryuu and Kurisuna were leaving the arena with them, Taiki waited for a minute or two before he began to follow them.

Miyagi grimaced as the battle before him came to a sudden, violet end. The shinigami fell, plummeted really, and hit the ground in a pathetic, defeated heap. Miyagi couldn't suppress a mild sneer that was invading his visage. The shinigami had sought to overcome the hollow's speed by grabbing on to him after a hit, and then attacking him point blank. It was a gutsy move, but the moron must have assumed he was dealing with a dumb beast, because the hollow did everything exactly as he should have. He wondered how the judges would rule on this, but wouldn't be surprised if the victory was given to the hollow. From the corner of his eye, he saw Ryuu leaving with the giantess. It didn't seem like a good idea to Miyagi, but if his new boss went and got himself killed, then Miyagi would have come to this island for nothing. He waited until Kurisuna and Ryuu were out of sight, then sauntered off in the same direction. He'd observe for now, and if Ryuu needed his help, he would likely give it.

His shoulders sagged, slightly, his eyes widened. No, don't! He wanted to shout, Stay on the defensive! The clash between the two titans came to a rather abrupt and less than flashy end. For all his talk and all his taunting, Katsu was for lack of a better term, turned into a needle cushion.
As the Captain hit the stone floor, Malik visibly winced. The poor boy.. He is going to be devastated. And my shouting at him is only going to add to that hurt.. His eyes narrowed, any shock in them vanishing. He would hide his emotions and be strong, he had to be. For him.
Taking up the remainder of his things, he turned and left the seating area around the arena. He would be waiting just outside the arena, at the medical camp for his comrade. He assumed he would be taken there and if not, he would go fetch him, himself.

Watching the end of the fight, Shirio winced when he saw Katsu hit the ground. Relieved when he saw that Katsu seemed to be in one piece and was still alive, Shirio knew that he should go find Shuichi and get him to help Katsu.
Hoping that Katsu was okay and he hadn't misjudged the injuries, Shirio left the arena to find Shuichi before heading off to the medical tent.
