Profile Information
Name: Okamane Hiroshin
Alias:: Mihamaru
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Faction: Human
Rank: Bounty Hunter/Ex-Soldier
Appearance:
Height- 5'6"
While in his Sheng Maiku disguise, he wraps a black piece of cloth around his head, tightly covering his entire head, save his eyes. He also keeps his arms hidden by his black cloak, with the magic bag strapped to his right.
Personality: Condident and careful are two words that describe Hiroshin. As most of his life was spent in the Emperor's Melee Division, that time defines him more than anything else. He has a distrust of power users, especially Quincy, after what happened to his commander. Although he hides it, he has a sense of survivor's guilt over the events that led to her death, in addition to having nightmares frequently.
Outside combat, he is generally a relaxed person, if a bit too amused by annoying people. Despite his friendliness though, he tends to keep people from getting too close to him, as a result of losing his former commander.
History:
Hiroshin was born of a Samurai, a man named Okamane Akio, and one of his concubines. Sadly, the woman died shortly after birth. Before she died, she whispered the name she chose for the boy into his ear, while nobody else was around, and begged for him to keep it in his memory for the rest of his life. His father was not informed of the boy's "true" name, and decided that the boy was to be named Hiroshin.
Unfortunately, Akio had only Hiroshin as a son. Being past his prime and closer to death than he would like to admit, he chose to train Hiroshin to join the Imperial soldiers, as he once was. Training him in the art of kenjustu to kill his opponents, and Jujitsu to defeat armored opponents, if he should happen to lose his sword, as well as various other combat arts. Outside of his father's teaching though, he trained on his own to increase his own physical abilities. Through secret training, including weighted training, among other things, he trained himself to do impossibly acrobatic feats, as well as his "famous" jumping ability.
After learning the basics from his father, Hiroshin was given the push to join the military's unarmed unit. While there, he found himself almost fanatly obsessed with pleasing his new commander, who ended up training Hiroshin personally, furthering his skills in hand-to-hand combat, gaining many exotic abilities in the process, such as Konkujiku. Together with his captain, he went on many missions, coming into contact with various different users of spiritual powers, some friendly... mostly hostile.
His life suddenly took a turn for the worse, during the one mission Hiroshin won't ever forget. At the time, it seemed like little more than a routine guard mission. Unbeknownst to him, that was the day that rogue members of the Quincy decided to enact their plan to kill Emperor Shouryaku Yusuke. However, while the emperor was being killed in secret, the members of the defending squad were each being picked off by the other quincy. One of the many casualties was the commander of the unit himself, to Hiroshin's great sadness. Hiroshin himself would've been among those, had he not been saved by an unknown being with ice powers, who Hiroshin never saw.
Under martial law, the surviving members of the team that failed to protect the Emperor were quickly decommissioned. Rather than attempt to join another military organization, though, Hiroshin took to the streets of Japan, and took to Bounty Hunting, taking a particular interest in those with special powers.
Sadly, however, Bounty Hunting did not go well for him. More often than not, he took to wandering around japan, looking for food. Occasionally, he would get caught and meet a few interesting people, but more often than not, he would simply wander around without food.
In his wanderings, however, he heard tales about a murderer wandering around Japan, terrorizing many. Almost tasting the food, Hiroshin quickly headed to Kyoto, in an attempt to capture the witch, despite knowing anything about her, even if the witch is, in fact, a her. After a long time searching, he finally got a lead that she was leaving Edo at the very night. Despite the heads up, his hunger got the better of him, and he passed out, missing his bounty, and loosing his last lead.
To make matters worse for him, he was found on the side of the road by a hyperactive woman, who he met a few times, and made her dislike for him quite clear, as well as a giant, an archer, and a quiet young girl. Not having anything better to do, now that he lost his only lead on the Black Rose Witch. He decided to travel with them under the name Mihamaru.
During his travels with the group, he came upon a disastrous scene in the Kyoto bazaar, where a monster was causing havoc. In the middle of the rampage, it declared the Yami no Taikai, where he, the archer Taiko, as well as many others that he didn't know, where ordered to attend, less everything they hold close will be destroyed. After it vanished, Hiroshin decided that the group commandeer an abandoned tea house, where they squatted until the day of the Yami no Taikai finally arrived.
After a preliminary fight on the way to the tounament, Hiroshin, in another disguise, "Sheng Maiku", started one of the earlier fights in the tournament with the Bount Hinoiri. Although the fight went badly, Hinoiri eventually surrendered the fight, leaving the arena with his Nodachi.
