Profile Information
Name: Vicious
Gender: Masculine
Age: 21
Faction: Hollow
Rank: Menos Grande
Reiatsu Color: Electric Blue
Reiatsu Aura: The feeling that the air is charged with electricity.
Appearance: Since changing into a Gillian, Much of Vicious's more defining characteristics have changed. He towers over lesser hollows, casting a long shadow wherever he goes, and has literally become a giant amongst his own kind. Cloaked in a huge black cloth, his body remains hidden from sight. His hands and feet are the stark white of sun-bleached bone, and it is assumed the rest of his body is much the same. His mask is the only feature that remains almost completely unchanged. It's shape is sharp and angular, with the face jutting out slightly. Three horns extend from the mask. The middle horn was twisted like a drill, and curved backward only slightly. The other two form a few inches from the central horn, and are swept back much further. Jutting down from the upper jaw of the mask are a pair of long, sharp teeth that curve in a manner reminiscent of a saber-tooth tiger. A pair of crescent shaped purple slashes over his eyes are the only noticeable changes on the mask.
Personality: If it is even possible, Vicious is somehow less very talkative than he was as a lesser hollow. As a gillian, his vocabulary has been stripped bare, leaving him capable of only earsplitting roars. He wouldn't have much to say, even if he could speak. The giant hollow is sort of running on autopilot, focusing entirely on eating and surviving, and not crushing his food/allies beneath his gargantuan feet. Inside, Vicious is being reformed. His mind is changing, the holes in his persona being filled in by the memories and ideas of the hollows he consumed and dominated to become a Gillian. When he finally moves beyond this stage, maybe he will have more interesting things to say. Until then, he is simply silent.
History: To say that Aiden’s beginnings were humble would be a bold faced lie. If anything, Aiden’s birth was surrounded by a tempest of activity and strife…literally. Aiden was born aboard a ship to an Irish woman named Sophia. Sophia's husband, Roland, was a merchant who traveled the silk road, selling and trading with the various people and countries they met along the way. Upon reaching the Chinese coast, Roland decided to pay for a ship to take he and his cargo across the ocean. Not wanting to be separated from her husband, Sophia boarded the ship with him, despite her late pregnancy. She hoped to birth her baby in Japan, someplace that was supposedly beautiful and rich. Midway through the voyage, the ship was caught up in a terrible storm, one that shook the ship, battered the sails, and ravaged the crew aboard it. When the storm finally died down, Aiden was born. Being a baby with high spiritual power, he became a magnet for hollows. Drawn to the babe, they wrought havoc upon the ship. Tearing at the sails, eating the the sailors, destroying the rudder of the ship. As the boat went further and further of course, the crew began to panic. The captain and navigator did their best, but when the hollows devoured them, there was little else that could be done.
Thrown to the mercy of the gods of the sea, pushed around at the whim of the currents, the ship rapidly ran low on rations, and the crew low on patience. Why the hollows never got the babe, no one was sure. Maybe there were soul reapers about protecting them, maybe it was blind luck, but the babe and his mother survived. As the days dragged on, with no way to repair the sails or rudder, the ship drifted at the whim of the ocean.
Finally, as the boat drifted into the Sea of Japan, the tenuous peace of the crew snapped. The sailors, superstitious lot that they were, assumed that the woman was a witch, and her babe a demon. They set her in a small boat and sent the two out into the ocean alone. Doomed to drown at sea, the woman prayed for her baby’s safety, knowing that while she herself had nothing to eat, the babe had yet to be weaned, and might still survive to see land again. Whether her god answered her prayers or not, after three days at sea the little boat washed onto the beaches of the island of Kyushu. A small monastery, home to a clan of monks, was situated near the beach, and a trio of monks fishing nearby heard the wailing of the baby. Upon finding the boat, they feared that the strange, pale woman with fiery hair was dead, so malnourished and thin was she. Her babe, still clutched in her arms, was wailing hungrily, it too thinner than it should have been. They carried the woman and her babe to the monastery, where the monks nursed her back to health and saved her and her child. Sheltering the two storm tossed foreigners, they showed a kindness that the Shimada Monks were well known for.
Aiden grew up alongside the orphaned children of the Monastery, his brothers so to speak. His mother, brought back from the brink of death, learned the skills of medicine and became a sort of nurse. The monks, who sought to find tranquility through the practice of Martial arts, taught Aiden their skills, training him as one of the other boys in their care. Aiden loved his life among the monks, and had many friends there. They were a sort of extended family.
As Aiden’s powers began to further manifest, he was approached by one of the elder monks, Brother Miroki. Miroki, a master of the spiritual arts, informed Aiden that since he arrived, more and more hollows had been coming to the temple. It was time for Aiden to temper and control his powers, lest they draw in more hollows than the spiritually aware members of the temple could handle.
Miroki took Aiden under his wing; drawing out the boy’s hidden potential and training him to use it against hollows. At first, he was terrified of his power. It felt wild and uncontrollable to the young boy. However, with time Miroki's training allowed him to feel more at ease with his techniques, and eventually he learned to control them to the point that he no longer leaked spiritual energy like a running hose. He enjoyed the training, the structure. It made him feel special, and he was proud of the things he accomplished. Miroki saw the pride as harmless, but in fact it corrupted Aiden. He began looking for trouble, leaking reiatsu so that hollows would come.
One day, Aiden was feeling restless and bored. He drew in a large number of hollows, confident in his ability to defeat them. He was wrong however. The hollows were too much. They overwhelmed him, and attacked the monastery, killing everyone inside. Aiden suffered a psychotic break, and his powers increased rapidly, driving him into an enraged, savage frenzy. He slew every single hollow, and went hunting for more.
Eventually, Aiden’s madness consumed him. He became a murderous madman, slaying anyone who crossed his path. When he was eventually slain by Gakushiki Rikou, his body and soul were left to rot. Eventually, he devolved into a Hollow, and thus once again began roaming the world, eager to hunt and kill again.
No longer willing to associate himself with the “weak, simpering being” he was before, the hollow now calls himself Vicious.
As a lesser hollow, Vicious wandered about between the human world and Hueco Mundo seeking food to sate his unending hunger. He was a skilled hunter, reveling in the act of running down his prey and devouring them as they screamed for mercy and death. He couldn't possibly begin to satisfy the wretched hunger that plagued him, but it didn't stop him from trying.
He encountered other hollows like himself, but was never very comfortable in their presence. Many of them were much more powerful than Vicious himself was, and as such were to be avoided. He was finally drawn into a pack lead by the Adjucha, Presta Carnivoro by chance circumstance. He roamed with the pack, always on alert and aware that at any moment one of them could try to devour him and end his existence. None of them ever did, but it didn't stop Vicious from being wary.
After spending a brief amount of time with the pack, Vicious was finally drawn into the Feeding Frenzy that preceded the birth of a new Menos Grande. Unable to resist the clash of Reiatsu, Vicious plunged headlong into the frenzy, and joined the evolutionary mayhem. Through either force of will, or pure luck, Vicious took control of the new body, his mind dominating all others beneath him, and subjugating them to be assimilated or lost to the darkness of the void. He now wanders the Dunes with Presta's group now, passively following whatever orders he is given. Time will tell if he ever moves beyond the Menos Grande stage. Until then, he merely exists, doing what instinct and the pack tell him to do.
