Profile Information
Name: Clyde
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Faction: Human
Rank: None
Reiatsu Color: Gray
Reiatsu Aura: None
Appearance: Clyde is a white male who stands at roughly 5’ 8” with gray colored eyes. He has a toned but not particularly muscular build and has unkempt brownish blonde hair. He has a very young looking face that appears innocent and pure. His clothing looks ordinary enough, though they appear a bit tattered and old from wear and tear. His clothing does hide note worthy scaring over his right arm, scaring that is shaped in odd circular patterns across the entire length of the arm. When using his power, these scares visibly glow with his reiatsu.
Personality: Clyde is a trusting and selfless young man, the self-sacrificing hero type. He isn’t afraid to fight for those he cares about or those in danger, regardless of if he knows them or not. While not necessarily fearless, he never lets his fears interfere with his actions. He’s an out spoken young man not afraid to make friends with others he meets for the first time, and appears to be very generous in given situations, despite having very little himself. In this sense, his naivety also becomes apparent; the boy has very little life outside moving from area to area and protecting the weak, and knows little of how to act like a normal person. He carries a certain innocence that makes him trust people easily, perhaps far too easily and he can be quite gullible.
He does have many doubts about himself and has trouble comprehending most emotions. The awakening of his power had caused some severe loss of memory into his past. This causes the boy to sometimes act in erratic fashions and reckless behavior mostly because he does not understand most of the situations he finds himself in. He tends to think a lot of the time when he is alone, mostly about his purpose and existence, but tends to hide it from others, even friends and allies. He would much rather help with their problems then the other way around.
History:
There once were a group of alchemists that aimed to create a power above all others at any cost, an object that could change anything. It was the object most people who believed in alchemy set out for, the fabled philosopher’s stone. However unlike most, this group had discovered the means of creating it. Over the years these hidden alchemists collected the necessary materials to create this lost power, even traveling as far as the edge’s of Europe to obtain the write ingredients…and found a suitable host; a young man with incredible spiritual power. As it turned out that the term stone was used more philosophically however, as they needed an actual human sacrifice, a being to become the “host” of this power. Against the boy’s will, he used as the catalyst to create the philosophers stone.
The process was long and torturous but the alchemists would nearly completely their plans, as they etched the important symbols onto the boys arm, the place where the power would reside. It was when they reached the final steps that they met a terrible end. The ritual successfully transformed the boy turning him into a living, breathing power of their alchemic beliefs but the power to great…its knowledge to expansive. The boy’s power went out of control, destroying the alchemists just by being in his presence and forever destroying the original mind of the host. The shell of the human would wander the world for sometime as its mind slowly repaired itself…
The boy awoke one day in an open field, alone, with no recollection of how he got there or who he was; he was in an unfamiliar land (which he later found out was called japan). The only thing he had of any significance was the markings on his arm, which pulsated with power. Not a moment sooner, however, was he attacked by some sort of creature, a hollow, he would later recall. The boy was taken aback at seeing such a creature, and its appearance made his heart pound. In his initial fear he attempted to run but it did him no good, the creature was easily able to catch up to him and knocked him down with little effort. The boy thought he was done for, killed before even knowing what was going on.
The Creature raised its claw to attack, but suddenly Clyde’s reiatsu flared up, almost on instinct, repelling the creature with almost little to no effort. Clyde’s mind began to flash with images of how to use his power, an effect of the philosopher stone attempting to defend itself. His body began to move on its own, as if it knew what to do, and formed and grabbed hold of a stick lying on the ground, which within moments was transformed into a spear of pure energy. Before the hollow even could rise back to its feet it found the spear squiring its mask, killing it instantly.
From that day on, Clyde became a wanderer, someone who travels around fighting hollow in an attempt to find out who he was and how to control this unusual power. He worried little for his past at that point, only wanted to carve a new path for himself. His name was given to him from others he met over time. A bland name with no meaning to fit his vague past.
