He wears a short-sleeved shirt in the color black on top of his body, with long, brown gloves up on his forearms. He wears dark-blue pants with knee-high leather boots, also in brown on his feet. During travels, he wears a thick brown poncho on top of his black shirt for warmth, as the nights can get cold.
Personality: Hokori is someone who is shown to be very loyal to his friends, and trustworthy as well. He is a good-natured person who has it easy to make new friends, as he values friendship a lot. He is also a bit carefree, taking it a bit easy with life, trying to live it as easy as possible. However, in combat, his personality changes a bit. He becomes calm and determined to defeat his opponents, or in some cases, protect those he care about. However, when emotions are strong for something, they take over his judgment and his ability to think. He also have a strong passion for cats and the color blue.
History: Born in the village of Kobe, Honshuu, Hokori was the only child in his family consisting of him, his father and his mother. His father was a famous martial artist known in the village, and as soon as Hokori would learn how to walk and speak, the training would begin for him. Growing up was easy for the boy, as the friends kept surrounding him from every angle. But there seemed to be one girl who stayed away from the usual groupings. Her name was Saikokui Kurisuna. Hokori decided he would befriend her as well, as he reached out for her companionship. The two started to become friends and meet on regular basis, as Hokori now juggled her, his martial arts training and the other children in the village.
As the two children became closer friends, the girl started speaking about her ability to see ghosts. Dead people. Hokori was surprised, but praised her for having such an unique ability. Then, about a year later when Hokori was nine, he started to notice more and more "people" showing up here and there. As he interacted with them, they turned out to be the dead. Hokori had gained the ability to see ghosts. Of course, adults and the other kids in the village didn't believe him, pointing him out as a liar. All but Kurisuna, whom he now shared this ability with.
Years pass, as Hokori gains good skills in both martial arts and in making friends. But one day things happened that changed most things for him. She was gone. Kurisuna had disappeared, and her whole family had been killed. Rumors went around the village, saying she was the killer and that she had escaped after murdering them in cold blood. Parts of Hokori didn't believe the rumors, or that she would do this to her family, but inside him, he knew that it could be true.
Time passed, as boy turned 15. He was now a teenager, having a small part-time job down at a store in the village to make money. At the evening, as he was walking home, he met up with some of his friends who also were the same age as him. But suddenly, a roar was heard in the distance, but Hokori was the only one who heard it. He and the friends began to run for cover, hiding in an alley as the roars got closer. And suddenly, in front of them, a large monster had appeared, setting it's eyes for Hokori. Hokori reacted, sliding under the monster to lure it after him, and that he did. He ran a bit before he stopped, turning around to face it. His instinct to protect his friends was probably the thing that triggered his ability to fight, as sparkling blue energy surrounded his forearms. Thinking this would help him battle, he ran towards the monsters, screaming before slicing into it with a chopping motion. He made a chop with his other hand too, straight into the shoulder of the monster, before it decided to retreat away. The energy faded down, but the knowledge of this power remained.
Returning back home, he told his father and mother about this incident. At first, they did not believe him, but his father told him that if these powers existed, they should train in controlling them. During a two year period of time, Hokori trained with his father to control his powers, and in the process, he even developed two other abilities.
The day of his 18th birthday arrived, as he was given two gifts from his parents. One is a sack of supplies, and the second was a warm poncho. They felt what Hokori was thinking. That he should give himself out to travel the world. And so he did, leaving the village for new adventures, not knowing what he would face next or what people he would meet.
