A Silent Altruist: Inihara is the kind of fellow that often feeds and shelters those less fortunate than he, his selflessness even branching off to stray cats and dogs. He is an optimistic person, a man that sees some good in everything. A taciturn human, he hardly talks--when he does speak, what he has to say is very blunt and terse; instead, he lets his actions speak for him, possessing a certain delicateness to them that's reminiscent of a mother figure, a trait inherited from his mother.
Cool as a Cucumber: In general, Inihara is a very collected, laid-back, and somewhat phlegmatic human being. He's the kind of guy that's not easily surprised, and if he so happens to be, he shows very fine control in maintaining the excitement. This also attributes to his quiet demeanor, a veil of silence which he maintains from sunrise to sunset.
Reliable: If your whole world seems to be tumbling on top of you, Inihara will be the sole piece that remains in place. He is calm and wise, a conversation with him generally impressing upon one profound advice; no matter the trouble, he seems to be able to help others cool down.
Love For You, None For Me: Inihara is a loner. This doesn't necessarily mean he is outright cold to others, as it would certainly conflict with his philanthropy, but he is emotionally withdrawn in some aspects, such as love. Consequently, this is a major contributor to his lack of any authentic friends; there are acquaintances, but nothing far beyond that.

「 History 」
The calm of autumn heralded the birth of Eisen Inihara, mother and father rejoicing at the delivery of a healthy baby boy. Born in Osaka, Inihara's parents were hard workers, having toiled for years to acquire the needed funds to accommodate the birth of their offspring. They wanted for their son to not struggle like so many others were, and having accumulated a modest fortune to purchase a respectable house prior to Inihara's birth, he would not; he would never starve, nor would he ever be cold; with no complications in sight, he would grow into a healthy, normal kid.
As Inihara grew older, it became increasingly clear to his parents that the kid was spiritually aware, for there were many instances in which the boy seemed to converse with empty space. This drew caution from his parents, keeping their youngest under a close watch to shelter him from the potential dangers of the Spirit World. While it was true he did have the Sight, a trait acquired from his mother, what Inihara's parents didn't pick up was that among the Plus Souls he played with, some were actually figments of his imagination - in other words, imaginary friends.
This childish characteristic would be aided by being secluded from the outside world, growing more inured to the beings conjured by his imagination. Outside the companionship provided by his parents, these emblematic representations of playfulness and amusement would buy his time; he would grow into them, and the older he got, the more customary it became.
While it was definitely unusual for a teenager to have imaginary friends, what was more odd was one that hardly left the house. He was always taken care of inside his home, his parents supplying him with valuable company. Unfortunately, his one and only haven would be crushed to pieces on one stormy night, a foul beast from the ivory sands chancing upon the Eisen household. The events that occurred next were somewhat a blur, but the images that stuck out to him were the most vivid, as well as the most shocking.
Screaming, lots of screaming; his parents were standing in front of him, his eyes glued to their backs; he felt like they were ignoring him, and this in turn frightened him. In reality, they were both defending their son, but with one swipe from the Hollow's claws, the noise would stop, and the two would collapse. Inihara keened; he yelled their names--he screamed for help. He had no answer, and with the Hollow moving towards him, he closed his eyes, both wishing and imagining the warmth of his parents, the security of their grasp. It was that longing that roused his powers, that desperation that summoned his hero--his imaginary friend.
It materialized in a burst of light, forcing Inihara's eyes open. It was in that brief moment--a moment wherein the Hollow pounced, his imaginary friend appeared, and his howls died--that the concoction of pain and salvation coursed his veins. The Hollow poked Inihara's right eye out, sending the boy in a bout of screams; simultaneously, the materialized being cut down the Hollow, slaying the creature in an onslaught of sword swings.
The pain that Inihara was feeling brought back memories of his mother, how she made everything feel better with her gentle touch and soothing words. Soon, he had a longing, and that longing translated to the materialization of another of Inihara's imaginary friends, one that, upon starting a melody, eased the pain of the Eisen heir, disinfecting the fresh wound of the Hollow's taint. 'Inihara...' was all that he heard before passing out, the sweet melody reminiscent of his mother's voice fading as was his consciousness.
Upon coming to, Inihara was in the comfort of a bed, getting up hastily only to fall back down due to fatigue. People were surrounding him, asking him questions of what happened, and before he knew it, all the memories came flooding back to him. He himself had no proper explanation of what had occurred, and through their own conviction, the town came to the conclusion of the weather as the cause of the house's destruction and the death of Inihara's parent, along with his injury. Not many believed this.
He had no will to fight it, and no courage to comprehend it; he grew withdrawn and forlorn, staying his welcome in Osaka. Sooner rather than later, he left the town, grabbing what little possessions he could from his crumbled house and heading for Kyoto. It was there that he acquired his independence, quickly shedding the childish mannerisms that defined him for most of his life; in turn, he grew to ignore his powers, slowly resisting the companionship of his imaginary friends, after finding out that only he could see them, to pursue self-sufficiency in the form of opening a store.
The years leading to his early-twenties were a real turning point for him, a complete persona-change--some of it was for the better, others for the worst. But eventually, the reality of his situation and abilities came clear. He began to notice more spirits, thanks to being out more, and it was this exposure that forced him to face the past; he headed back to Osaka, and upon seeing the places his childhood centered around, all the memories, once more, came flooding back. The grief he set aside for his parent's loss seized control of him, memory upon memory reliving an emotion; soon, he felt longing, a dire longing for what he had lost, and in a matter of seconds, that same being that saved his life some odd years before manifested in front of him.
"It's been a long time," it said. "Sorry I couldn't help save that eye of yours, but ignoring us for seven years is not very kind--I mean we did save your life."
"We?" Inihara asked.
"There are more of us. We all resemble a part of you--an emotion. I'm Kietsu; Joy. The lady that healed you is Hitan. Fundo, Osore, Iyaki, and Ikkyou are dormant for the time being." Answering the semi-confused look on Inihara's face, Kietsu continued, "We're what you associate with those six emotions, kid. Master us and you can master your emotions. Keep ignoring us and you'll be killing yourself in the process. Either way, you can't live without us."
With a grin and a wink, Kietsu vanished, and Inihara, after a few moments, composed himself and got moving, the events of his past officially dealt with. He underwent a new transition--a personality change for the better, granted with the help of his Friends; and it was these same Friends that helped him survive his first, actual Hollow encounter at the age of twenty-three, his powers steadily synchronizing with his comprehension of himself and his powers.
Now, at the age of twenty-five, he lives in Kyoto, running his store to make a living as well as dedicating his life to helping others whenever he can.[/blockquote]
