Abilities - Techniques that may be learned by characters; these exist as either personal abilities or faction-wide abilities.[Bleach Terminology]
Admin - Administrator, generally the person who oversees all aspects of the site. Otherwise the 'Head of Staff'.
Gary-Stu - See 'Mary-Sue'.
God-Modding - The act of 'role-playing' a flawless character doing things they shouldn't be able to, knowing things they shouldn't, and generally trying to be plaid off as 'better than everybody'.
IC - Stands for 'In Character'; specifically, IC is more or less what your character, not you yourself, would know, do, or be able to do. Knowing the name and tactics of a never-before-met person do not qualify; knowing the name and tactics of an old friend, however, would be IC Knowledge.
Limbo - A terrible place where inactive characters are placed until they are either made active again... or lost forever.
Mary-Sue - A 'flawless' character, described as having a power without flaw or 'catch', a personality 'everybody likes', and being of 'extreme beauty'. Generally speaking, you'll be told when you have one.
Meta-Gaming - The use of OOC knowledge to influence IC action, as well as using knowledge the character otherwise ought not have.
Mod - Moderators, usually the people in control of 'fine' aspects of the board beneath Admin direction. Otherwise called 'Staff'.
NPC - Something of a misnomer; 'NPC' are, collectively, the 'characters' used by Staff to effect Events and what-not. Note that just because they aren't established, graded and 'accepted' characters doesn't necessarily mean you can just push them around!
OOC - Short for 'Out of Character'; OOC Information is anything from when you work or when you can next log on, to the names and identities of characters you have not met or heard of in game.
Order - Also called Turn Count, established by what order characters entered a thread; this is a means used to define who should post when. May be altered as necessary and decided by agreeing characters and/or mods.
Staff - Admin and Mods, collectively; the people that try to keep everything in working order from day to day.
Adjucha - The 'default' form of Hollow on AK; in Bleach, however, they are the third 'level' of Hollow and are considered moderately common and fairly powerful.[AK Terminology]
Arrancar - The 'evolved' form of a Hollow, Arrancar have more or less returned to their humanoid appearances, with fully featured faces and bodies. They retain fragments of their masks, as well as Hollow Holes, but unlike their unevolved counterparts, wield zanpakutō within which are sealed their Hollow powers.
Bakudo - An umbrella term for Kidō which do not have offensive natures by default; barriers, communication, or even commute are the characteristics of these Kidō.
Bala - A more controlled form of Cero; faster, less powerful.
Bankai - The third 'form' a Shinigami zanpakutō takes, using its true name and true form. Considered a Shinigami's greatest power.
Cero - A Hollow technique that uses Reiatsu as an explosive force.
Chiyudo - The art of Healing with Reiatsu, an off-shoot of Kidō.
Fuku-Taicho - a.k.a. Lieutenant. These characters are the right-hand of the Taichō.
Kido - 'Demon Arts'. a form of magic used by Shinigami, made manifest by their Reiatsu.
Hado - An umbrella term for Kidō with naturally offensive natures - fireballs, lightning bolts, et cetera.
Hell Butterflies - Small constructs of Reiryoku, capable of delivering small messages to specific people.
Hollow - In Bleach, these are the heartless and corrupted souls of Humans who feed on human souls. In AK, they are carnivorous beasts 'evolved' from Humans after a plague; this origin is lost to history.
Reiatsu - A term to describe the 'expressed' amount of Reiryoku a person has. Also an umbrella term for Reiatsu, Reishi and Reiryoku when all three terms are not in use or are used collectively.
Reishi - Spiritual energy that exists in nature, invisible to the eyes; natural sources allow Reiryoku to be replenished over time by weary souls.
Reiryoku - Spiritual energy existing within living beings; the 'fuel' to the 'fire' that is Reiatsu. When one refers to a person's amount of Reiatsu, they refer to their Reiryoku.
Rukon - The collective name of the 'Districts' of villages surrounding Seireitei; separated into the first, second, third and fourth 'Districts'.
Rukon Citizen - 'Civillians' who reside within the Rukon. Despite the title, are generally considered a militia, capable of using their own forms of 'powers' separate from either Hollow or Shinigami.
Seireitei - The Court of Pure Souls; home city of the Shinigami, surrounded by a great wall.
Seki-sekki - In Bleach, a type of stone totally immune to Reiatsu, and in fact draws it in and absorbs it. In AK, a Reiatsu-resistant material that may, in great concentrations, muffle and suppress Reiatsu, but may not prevent it's use or be immune to it totally.
Shinigami - Self-styled Death Gods, protect Rukon Citizens from the Hollow in exchange for goods and services from the Rukon Citizens.
Soul Society - In Bleach, the Spiritual World of the Shinigami and passed-on spirits. In AK, the world in total, from Seireitei to the Rukon to the Wasteland itself, even to the mountains and sea beyond. A massive circular, flat world, defined by the concentric circles made up by the Seireitei, the Rukon, and the insurmountable mountains at the edge of the Wasteland.
Soutaicho - a.k.a. Head Captain. The leader of the Shinigami, who stands above the Taichō and commonly takes the First Division.
Taicho - a.k.a. Captain. These characters are the 'Leaders' of Shinigami and, in turn, Seireitei and Soul Society at large... save to the Hollow and Arrancar.
Zanpakuto - Weapons belonging to Shinigami and Arrancar; seal true power within the simple shapes of basic weapons.
Awareness - The being that was in the beginning; it has been stricken from known history, and so exists not even as a bed-time tale.
Borderlands - The no-man's zone officially referred to as the Fourth Rukon District; 'shared' by the hardiest of Rukon Citizens and the most daring of Hollow, largely unpoliced by Shinigami.
People - The originally-produced 'offspring' of the Awareness, precursors to the Shinigami, Rukon Citizens, and Hollow.
Reishi Pits - Naturally occurring 'pits' which spew venomous Reishi from their cores. Hazardous to all health; occur deep within the Wasteland.
Virus - The unnamed virus spread by the Awareness to take down the People, to show them the futility of obtaining bodies of their own.
Wasteland - The massive stretch of largely inhospitable land reaching from the Rukon to the edge of the solid world; home of the Arrancar and Hollow, where few others dare tread.
