[About]
These threads are dedicated to giving general descriptions of established and repeatedly used areas in RP to prevent confusion and disputes in threads. Information of importance includes the size of the structure (note whether it is one story/two and the like as well), main entrances that are used and would be accessible/visible to an onlooker, the general layout, perhaps materials used, that kind of thing. If your location is not listed here and you wish for it to be, please PM me. I will actively collect information from those I know to have such areas in use.[Area List]
The making building of the 2nd Division was built mainly for functionality in mind, so its design is not really flashy. Built primarily with fine wood on the outside and wood for the inside wall’s, as well as the wall surrounding the Division, it looks like a classic example of Japanese architecture. Beyond the gate (which is usually open unless there is any immediate danger arises in the city.) lies an open courtyard, the main entrance open for any visitors as they walk by, with the left and right wing entrances mainly used for carrying in patients who need to be rushed towards care.
All of the three sections connect within the building itself, with majority of it being taken by rooms for the patients and staff. There is no clear division between the left and right wing, both having rooms for a patient to stay as well as ones for specialized procedures. The main difference being that the Left wing holds the children section, while the right holds the elderly section. The Main building is slightly different, being more of an administrative building. There lays the welcoming desk where people can ask where they have to go for treatment, and is in general the central point in which the 2nd Division members pass around information and supplies. The first and second floor also holds rooms in which doctors treat patients for everyday sicknesses, while the last floor has the office and private room of the current Taicho and Fukutaicho, as well as private rooms in cases where someone is willing to pay for a more secluded spot in the Division.
Behind the main building there is a decently sized ( covers half the area the main building does) recreational area, in which patients who are able to go outside but still aren’t ready to leave can spend some time outside of the wall’s of the facility. A simple park with a small lake in its middle, while lacking any truly extravagant flora or fauna is a good place to relax in. On a more important note, the park is also separated by a wall from the rest of the city. In case of a critical situation, when the main gate’s would need to be closed, each side of the wall has an hidden entrance which can be used to transport in wounded and sick people more covertly. The location of these entrances is only available to the Taicho and Fukutaicho during peace time, and then distributed on a need to know basis when needed. The main gate itself has also two, smaller side doors by it, in case there was some kind of emergency with the gate.
