So you probably loved Dragon Age, where you could turn invisible, shoot a bow, and throw fire grenades all with the same guy >.>

Skyrim is for people with no life who enjoys dissapointing rewards after all that effort.

I enjoyed Skyrim. I had a good thing going on with my Conjurer.
Didn't have the attention span to follow through with a lot of quests, though.

I think I made about ninethousandandone daggers to get my skill up to 100. That dragon armor was so... lame.

I kept purging the petty souls off of mudcrabs, but it got boring fast, so I resolved to continue quests intended for players drastically more over-leveled than me.

Skyrim gets boring pretty fast, even with quests.
And don't bring out the whole "there are mods lol", because a game should not need mods to be fun, unless they are only there to improve graphics.

That pony mod was amusing... >_>
I'd like to think Skyrim still had enough variety to keep players hooked, as it did hold my interest for two weeks or so... Ultimately, though, I prefer more plot-driven games. And horror. Mindless, graphic, immersive horror.

It's all about Daedric armor, one-handed weapons and destruction spells.
The reward of putting effort into Skyrim is the gameplay. Skyrim is a game you shouldn't play addictively, but rather when you're bored or have the free time. Cause it'll last forever via hours of gameplay and it'll last forever via having not burned it out with repetitive, back-to-back plays.

All I can say about Skyrim is that while it was gorgeous and engaging , it was way too time consuming. My brain hurt from the sheer amount of fetch quests I kept running into. And it felt like I wasn't impacting anything, just doing minor BS stuff that didn't matter at all.
I need moar plot.

Don't get me wrong, I like open world games when they REWARD you with something GOOD. Or if the gameplay is just THAT crazy awesome. Pic related.

When I played Skyrim, I honestly couldn't tell the difference from main and side quests. I just went around killing, gathering and exploring cities.

I sure hope that the reward is in the gameplay. I didn't purchase Skyrim just for its soundtrack.
I think my perception of Skyrim is forever skewered by how I originally hadn't realized you could port to most cities. I ran to every place on foot. THAT was time consuming.

But I don't think the gameplay is rewarding either.

I've never played that *Points at picture*
I've heard about it but not got around to it.
Open world is okay but if I have too much freedom, I feel disconnected like there is no drive to find a plot or a storyline.

Oh and Skyrim was the first game where I encountered the "You can only carry so much crap then the weight slows you down to a crawl" problem. I hated that a lot.

SR3 is like, one of the best games I have played.
My favorite part of the storyline is the very start, from the Gat costumes, to the endless falling debris.

And if you did pick it up, you had to make the decision as to what else you would drop ..being the pack rat I am in game, that was too painful a decision because I just COULDN'T tolerate the slow down.

I love it when you encounter.... wait, no spoilers. Damn.
But from that starting point, it all goes uphill from there. Jesus christ, it goes beyond that.

I felt pretty stupid.
I've played a lot of games for more than 125 hours. Okami is a nice example of a game with a vast, engrossing universe driven almost entirely by its plot, but in a way that doesn't spoil its re-playability factor.

That's why you should have potions to up your carrying weight, OR a follower cause they have unlimited storage.

Man...I want to play Okami, it looks pretty.

I collected tons of potions of Skyrim that I've never, ever used. I kept saving them for ''that time,'' but I'm pretty sure they'll end up staying with me indefinitely.
