It was early in the morning, 5:30 am to be exact if someone was keeping track. The second district was silent in the early morning with the exception of one person who was walking through the district; the tenth seat of the First Division, Zane Grinpiers. He walked through seemingly unaffected by the time nor the weather, which spat rain down in a light drizzle on the shinigami. He carried his zanpakuto in his left hand as he walked, shaking his head every few minutes to keep water droplets from dripping down his long, blackened hair into his face. The only thing that made the weather annoying was the bitter cold that was sweeping through the district at that time. Such a low temperature mixed with rainfall would surely make for an interesting morning for the shinigami.

Andra had been posted up under the wing of a ramen bar. Thick clouds of bbq smoke drain out from that particular building, a light brighter than any other stand protruding the thick, delicious scent. There was a total of seven stools and Andra was pack dab in the center. Cloaked heavily in brown garments, his Hollow mask was shielded from view and despite the overwhelming abundance of light, the long hood casting over his visage managed to extend a deep shadow over his face. The Arrancar fancied these sort of rainy days, mostly because it allowed him to walk the land unbothered, unwatched. He especially enjoyed coming to this place, and this place only for bbq. It served it from opening to closing~ Licking his lips, he drops the finally wing's bone onto the plate. Each one was licked completely dry, in fact, he spent most of the time there chewing on the bones.

With a snap of his finger, he calls out for another order. As he waits for the arrival of his food he begins arranging the chicken bones on his plate in an odd fashion. After awhile he came up with a symbol, an eight pointed star. But by the time he did, the next order was coming in. And so, moving the first plate aside, he accepts the second and begins his consumption once more. "Nothing like BBQ for breakfast~" he chimes softly to himself

Sengoku was seriously considering firing Mihamaru. This was the second time the little turd had flaked out on a delivery. Sengoku hurried through the rain, a wide brimmed hat made of dry straw keeping the rain off his head. His delivery was a medium sized keg of liquor, ordered by the owner of a ramen shop in the second district. The alcohol was a fine mead, simple and easy to brew. It would keep for a long time. The ramen shop's owner kept a keg on tap in case any of hiss patrons were thirsty.

Sengoku's boots splashed through a large puddle of water as he approached the stand. He noted the singular customer with a smirk. Even in shitty weather, people would come for good food. He stepped under the awning, shifting the keg from its place on his back and setting it down on the counter. He exchanged some words with the owner, money changed hands, and a bowl of hot ramen soup was brought to him, along with a glass of fruit juice. Sengoku nodded to the man with the barbeque, and began to eat, letting the warmth seep into his bones.

Zane continued his long walk in the rain, taking in the remote silence of the early morn.. that was until he heard a low grumbling noise that could only be the sound of his stomach begging him for something to eat. The young shinigami glanced around the area and spotted a Ramen Bar close by, surprised that they were open so early and he began to walk toward the bar. As he closed in on the building, the aroma of barbeque filled his nostrils and it made him drool slightly as he walked into the bar. His eyes floated around at the people that were already there, thinking People actually come out for food this early? and soon shrugged it off. He walked forward and began to exchange words with the owner, handed him some money and waited for a plate of barbeque. When he was given the plate he nodded to the man and began to devour it like he hadn't eaten in days.

The flesh tears from the bone with little to no effort and within only seconds the entire portion of meat upon one wing is sucked dry. Nibbling upon the bone in contentment, Andra watches the chefs prepare the food for the day. Andra himself was already familiarized with the culinary profession of the second district. Upon dropping the nibbled bone to his plate, he draws another fresh wing to his mouth. As he vacuums the meat into his mouth he feels the presence of an arrival. Before he would give a glance about, another odd feeling crept in. Two customers? With a glance to his left, he sees Sengoku and with a glance to a right he sees Zane. Well, either this was dumb luck or an ambush. Either way, the Arrancar kept a cool head. He gives each of them a nod, facing them dead on with nothing but a shadowed face beneath a long thick hood. After a second go around with this bone, he sighs softly in delight before calling out in his normal tone of voice, "Nothing like some good ole' barbeque to get the day started, eh boys?"

Purposely he did not mask his voice, he wanted to see if left an impression on either of them during their last encounters. Well, he sorta knew Zane would notice, that is if Andra didn't knock him unconscious. He didn't really know because he had fled the scene on such short notice. It was moreso directed at Sengoku, the arrogant tavern owner. Nonetheless, both those reasons were secondary while the primary was merely to stir up drama.

sengoku glanced at the shinigami for a moment. He seemed vaguely familiar, but Sengoku couldn't place him. Five years was a long time, so that Sengoku had forgotten the shinigami wasn't so unrealistic. But when the other patron spoke, it clicked in Sengoku's mind. He KNEW that other patron. Scowling a bit into his ramen, Sengoku lifted the bowl to his lips and slurped the broth. When he'd focused himself a little more, he set the bowl down and plucked some of the noodles up with his chop sticks. What good would losing his cool do?

"My day started hours ago. This is more of a pick-me-up to hold me over until lunchtime." He watched the swaddled man from the corner of his eyes, eating slowly, taking his time with the food. making a mess of things here, at the ramen stand, wouldn't do the establishment's owner any good. Sengoku could handle a hollow, but he'd rather not lose business because of it.

Zane huffed lightly, hoping it was light enough that Andra wouldn't pick up on it. He was here? In Rukon? And he even had the nerve to act like nothing had happened when they last encountered one another all those years ago! Wait.. Maybe this time would be better. Maybe this time wouldn't result in Zane getting his arse kicked from here to kingdom come and back again. Besides, Zane had to worry about the food placed before him and he did so gladly. He grabbed a wing and brought it to his lips, sinking his teeth into the flesh and tearing it from the bone with ease, a sigh of delight,"This.. is fantastic!", He said, bluntly answering Andra's question.

Andra smirked. He was smirking to himself at the fact that they, unlike some others, had long fuses. But why on Earth was a Hollow trying to bait that of a Citizen and Shinigami into a brawl? Well, that was soon to be revealed. Though for the moment he takes to his meal in glee. After minutes go by of the same eating routine, he burps lightly and chuckles, "Excuse me~" Andra stacks the second plate above his first and asks for thirds. When the chef goes to prepare his order, Andra glances once more to his left, then to his right. "You know.. that was a rather wise decision the two of you just made. see, this isn't no ordinary, Ramen Bar." Briefly the Arrancar points out a symbol etched in the wood lining of the counter. It was more visible to Sengoku then anyone as it was on his side of the counter. "This building is marked by a gang of Rukon Rebels. Probably watching all three of us right now.. after all, The variety is rather rare. A citizen, hollow and Shinigami all in one place? If any of us make a move, I have no doubt we'll all be neck deep in shit." Andra ended with a chuckle, a rather devious one. There was indeed a symbol, however he knew that his identity was visibly disabled from view and so he was purposely adding in that bluff about being watched so that they might pile on questions. That and he was testing to see if they were even paying any mind to him.

Sengoku glanced at the symbol and snorted. "You're even more of an idiot than I thought, Hollow." He slurped more of the noodles from his bowl and then took a swig of mead from his cup. "You traipse about the Districts, barely concealing what you are. You thoughtlessly murder citizens, ravage and destroy our homes, and you think for even a moment these "Rukon Rebels" would be at all opposed to me bloodying the street with your ugly head? You think they hate me, or the Shinigami, more than you?" Sengoku chuckled, a deep laugh from his belly that came off as confident and callous. He didn't care who Andra was in the wastelands. Here, he was a rabid dog that needed to be put down. "You're a Hollow. You couldn't through a stone in the districts without hitting someone who's lost kith or kin to your kind, beast. So let me ask you again; What the HELL makes you think knowing some punk kids are watching me would prevent me from rending your head from your shoulders?"

It was indeed a early morning for a man much like Taisho who liked sleeping in. However he had a job to do, and he thought hey why not go to a local tavern in the Rukongai. It has been many moons for himself to be to the place and will one of the fifth division he felt it was needed for a solider of his class to be out on duty. He was dressed in his normal wear, a open dark blue jacket allowing people to see his muscles on his huge body. His sword was held in one hand. His pants normal shinigami wear but for most his fifth division Fukutaicho badge was on his right arm for all to see. The rain was no big deal, it was nice feeling the rain come down on his body, so really he had no big deal with it, his clothes were soaked threw but he found it refreshing. He found him self at the ramen bar with a few people around he would get close until he howled a greeting.

"GOOD MORNING!"

His voice boomed threw the area he was loud as ever really. He walked over to the other shinigami noticing was up between a few of the people here and the shinigami seemed to be one of them. He placed his right hand on his chin rubbing it ever so lightly. He did over here something about hollow, His eyes looked over at Andra and he began to wonder if he was the hollow the other was talking about, A fight so early in the morning would be out right bother seem. He rather not get blood on his fine body.

Trudging through the rain and moist ground, the captain of the fifth shinigami made a daily morning round of supervision through the rain and cold temperature; bundled securely and warmly in commoner clothing. She usually stalked the district in the early hours, considering the smarter hollows usually hunted during the darkness, or masking weather like this. So, what better was it to conceal herself as an average folk of the Rukongai, in order to sniff out the hollow or even arrancar in her territory?

While her clothing was for warmth, it was probable to ditch what warmth was provided in order to reach the highest possible flexibility and movement; so if her comfort was to be jeopardized for the sake of the people, she would gladly risk in and strip down into the casual wear underneath the hooded coat, or even run around naked. Well, hopefully that wouldn't be the case.

Still, like a typical commoner, whose purple hair and pumpkin-colored eyes were concealed from view due to a hood, Ume strode down the street; eyes surveying the area carefully for anything out of the ordinary and suspicious. Underneath the semi-long coat were her two daggers, attached to her hip as if they were inseparable with their 'partner'. At this point, she mentally prepared for any incident that could arise during her routinely walk – because heck, you never know what could happen.

Coming into view of a ramen bar, to be exact, Ume noticed a very distinguished symbol of 'graffiti'. If there was anyone who knew what the markings symbolized, it was the Captain who investigated these sorts of things. To her and people of her division, it was probably common knowledge, given reports of buildings and structures that were vandalized and needed repair. In this case, as she looked more closely, she could distinguish a shinigami from the group; and under careful musing, Ume concluded that he was not from her division and ranks, nor was he familiar with the sign – which furthermore deduced that the two sitting near him would likely ambush, assuming they were a part of the 'feared' gang of rebels; if one could even call them that. In this case, she approached to sit next to Sengoku, muttering so that they could all hear. "Like the symbol, eh? I fancy it immensely." She snickered slightly, obviously trying to pose as one of the rebels, if there were even some around these parts. Still, she turned to face Sengoku, so that her ventral and front side faced his right side; hands rested calmly upon her thighs as she sat upon the stool. Her head was lowered slightly, allowing her eyes to notice any false move from the two nearest to her; the shinigami was likely just a bystander, anyway.

Then again, upon closer inspection, the male sitting next to her seemed vaguely familiar. Ume was one to converse with locals and constantly watch the Rukongai, so she might have seen his face before... Plus she did occasionally drink, so could there be a slight connection? Wait a second...

Scruffy, tall, hm... there was a bartender and one of the only, well, probably the only tavern in the rukongai that she would drink in... and the owner started to look similar to this man. Then, the pieces clicked and fell into place, and it was assumed that Ume had conversed with this man before, the owner of The Notched Axe. Matsumori Sengoku! Ah, how could she forget!?

She then raised her head a bit, revealing those brightly-orange eyes to Sengoku as purple strands of hair fell slightly into view from the hood, and she smiled. "Ah, long time no see, fellow Rukon. Are you all together here, buds?" She inquired, hand raising to point at the two: the shinigami and secretly the arrancar.

Hopefully Sengoku would remember her unique traits? He didn't seem like a bad guy to be affiliated with a rebellious crew, anyway.

Having left his workshop less than an hour ago, a man trudged barefoot through the small puddles of mud and uncovered through the drizzling rain; wearing a wholly uncommon for him light tan hakama with matching top, his Zanpakuto stored safely in his office in Seireitei, this stranger's name was currently Misery and Woe, though he also occasionally went by the title Kiba.

A man normally resistant to the wicked, evil call of the early hours, Kiba had spent the entire night in his workshop, creating new hand-sized wooden idols in various designs, some of Hollow he'd seen in his past, some of variously-proportioned humane figures in various dresses, and even the occasional animal. Unfortunately, he had let the delightful monotony sneak upon him, and thus Kiba had fallen asleep at a painfully early hour. As a result, he was now waking at an even more painful hour, possibly even before the wonderful morning sun could rise! Surely this was the devil's hour, and poor innocent Kiba had sinned his way into this hell.

But lo and behold, suddenly he came upon an open-early stand! And what does he see in this stand, but people - and not simply a few, but many people, some of whom he could even almost recognize! If such people, of such magnitude and high repute, would frequent such a place at such an hour, surely then they would have something amazing to offer - specifically, something milk! Oh, milk, how amazing a liquid was it?

The most, was the answer to that question.

Suddenly in brighter spirits - though, at such an early hour as nearly six a.m., that still meant in a vile and surly mood - Kiba strode to the stand and nearly threw himself into the first open seat, not even worried in the slightest for the personal space of whomever's shoulder he was no doubt leaning over as he glowered over the counter, rapidly making a sour discovery.

No milk. None. Not even a droplet. Not even was beef on the menu, Kiba discovered - barbecued pork or chicken, but no milk-generating beef! Oh, what a travesty! Indeed, so darkly did this discovery cloud Kiba's mood that his teeth began to grind, audibly. Strong hands clenched the edge of the stand's counter, and for a very brief moment, a battle of wills began between Kiba's fingers and the counter - specifically, which had will enough to make the other splinter and stab the other first?

Of course, being a man of great repute himself, Kiba would not yet lower himself to the wanton destruction of private property, and his grip lessened, though his teeth still ground loudly as he simply gestured at the bowl belonging to whomever sat at his right, an indicator to the wary shop owner he desired a copy of that person's bowl. Stupid-early in the morning, and neither milk nor milkbeast to greet him. Surely Kiba's day could not possibly get any worse?

Zane dropped several bones on the plate before him, clinking several times, once for every bone that he dropped. The meat that previously rested on the bones torn from them and resting comfortably within the stomach of the young Shinigami who let out a roar of a belch out. Zane used both hands to pat his stomach in satisfaction, but still order another plate as he was attempting to cover up the fact that he was scouting the people around him, both of which he remembered and trusted neither of them, but it shouldn't be hard to keep tabs on them, right?

Nope. That was officially bullshit within the next few minutes following Zane's thought of keeping tabs on these two as there were now at least three more people he'd have to watch out for. Great. Wait a minute.. They didn't seem entirely like they would be his enemy in this case, but none of them seemed personally familiar to him. The thoughts started to give Zane a massive headache and he wrinkled his nose at it. He covered his concern and annoyance with a large grin when his plate came to him and he begin to scarf down the second helping of Barbeque.

Well, well.

It seemed the place was beginning to become overcrowded and so he would have to let his retort to Sengoku go unsaid. Andra sat there, minding his own business, or at least trying. As he ate, words from around him forced themselves into his ears. He didn't particularly enjoy it when the women called out to Sengoku in greeting. Though keeping his head cool still, he beckons the chef over. Once arriving, Andra begins to talk, "I'd like a round of your famous fried cheesy potatoes for these fine patrons of the 2nd." The chef nodded eagerly. He loved doing this shit. He brings out a large, black frying pan, the edges of which rose almost like a pot. Now here comes the best part. Preparation. The chef cleared out a station that is built in right on the other side of the counter that the patrons were sitting. Once setting down the frying pan on a burner, he switches it on with a match. A bright, thick flame coils around the underneath of the pan.

After the oil was heated, the chef grabs the backside of a sack of potatoes, rising it up to the counter in such haste that instead of dropping the load onto the floor, they hit the counter. Scattering out in a mess. Drawing a pair of knives, the man begins a dual-chop. Slicing the potatoes up into perfectly incidental, thinly sliced circles. Gathering his cuttings into a bowl, he looks around briefly for the salt and pepper containers. Upon spotting them, he grabs the two and sets them at the counterside. Now, following up after the flawless cutting, is a rather unique ability. When the man drops all the potato thins into the batch of schorchingly hot oil, he takes the frying pan by it's handle and quickly disposes of the bowl by throwing it to the side. With his free hand he holds it a few feet from madly popping oil. Quickly, around the frying pan's top forms a circular shell of reiatsu. It had only a tint of blue and so that made for see through a possibility.

"Here comes the special part~" the Arrancar chimes to everyone.

While still concentrating on his reiatsu shell, the chef begins to wildly jerk the pan forward and backwards. Causing for the oil and potatoes to thrash and bash around wildly within the containment. Within literally seconds, the food is finished and so the man dumps the food through a metal strainer before coaxing it heavily in a cheese sauce. The chef sets out a long plate that stretches across the entirely counter and as he does this, he says in a light chuckle of excitement, "I 'ardly get to prepare 'tis dis', let alone use 'tis plate." The man wanders back to the strainer and brings it over to the customers. He scatters the chips out slowly, evenly covering the plate from start to finish. And because this serving dish is rather thin, it sets right above everyone's plates so they don't have to move anything around. After the chef was finished dumping the potatoes down, he lightly seasons them in salt and pepper before nodding and saying, "It is ready to enjoy~"

However before the chef could walk away, Andra says, "Make me a batch to go, Mr. Yammakoshi. And a quarter of this size please." Why was an Arrancar ordering non-meat? Well partially to help further throw anyone of his trail.. but mostly because he enjoyed feeding the slum down in the 3rd and 4th. both as a kind act.. and entertainment. Sort of like feeding ducks at a pond with bits of bread.

Sengoku turned his head at the massive shinigami's morning greeting, ignored the man, and then was forced to turn his focus on someone else. A woman. With pumpkin orange eyes and purple hair. Her face was familiar, and he smirked a bit. She was a regular customer of his...and a Shinigami captain. He gave her his full focus and a broad smile. "Hello there, friend. So good to see you up and about this early in the morning." He'd comp every drink she ordered for the next two weeks if she helped him at all here. He turned to face Andra, his smile becoming much more villainous, much more violent. Three Shinigami. And what was this? A Fourth arriving! He had this hollow between a rock and a lot of sharp pointy blades. As the cook put on his show, Sengoku rose from his stool. He placed his right hand on the head of his axe, and drew it out of his belt. He settled the axe in his grip. "No escape, Hollow. Not this time. Not this day."

He squared himself up with Andra, placing his body between Andra and the street. He was pinned. He'd have to fight through the shinigami at the stall to go around Sengoku, and through the stall itself to go out the back. "I've had enough of you, Hollow. Enough." His voice seethed with hated and loathing. Old grudges, old losses. A small part of him, in the back of his mind, said to damn what the shinigami thought, damn the so called 'rukon rebels', damn it all. This Hollow was going to die today. "Take off your hood, so these fine folks can all see you for what you are." He glanced at Ume, his look screaming at her to pay attention to what happened next. He refocused on Andra, giving his axe a flourish. "Wandering around the Districts like you're untouchable...Lurking around in bars, snatching folk off the street to kill and eat no doubt. No more. Show your face. If you're so gods damned bold, then it's time for you to reap what you've sown. Let the shinigami see you for what you are."

Taisho looked tot he side watching a young woman walk towards the bar. His eyes would narrow trying to look at the woman, who seemed to now this man known as Rukon member. Her eye's screamed out to him, her figure everything about her Taisho new. For a moment he had no idea who it was, Just cause Taisho was most the time lazy about learning faces and names. However this person he new very easy. His captain seemed to appear in the area, the style of clothing was very easy to tell what she was up to. The word hollow was said once again. His right eye brow would raise just slightly as he looked at each figure there.

He would let out a soft breath just waiting for the next thing to happen, Most hollows he had fought or ran across to, were mostly cowards who would run away if things happen. His eyes would look back at his captain not sure what she was really begin here, But she was known to walk around the city and the rukon area's not in here shinigami outfit. It was strange though, she had ordered her fukutaicho to do this for the morning but she was out here today. He wanted to question her but so many people were around, he would have to wait.

Ume's gaze alternated between the hollow, her lieutenant, the other two shinigami comrades from different divisions – one she couldn't recognize and surprisingly the 4th division Taichou – then the humans, Sengoku and the chef. Taisho certainly looked confused, but now was not the time for discussion of why she was outside of her division's walls and patrolling. Instead, Ume had a task at hand, and that was to carefully assess the situation, being this so called "hollow", and possibly capture and detain the troublemaker. However, that was never the case; as hollows were usually fickle and hunger-driven creatures fueled by basic needs and instincts.

The woman glanced to Kiba in his tan hakama, then back to the lesser shinigami, before returning to the hollow's position; her body preparing to strike if need be as Sengoku assumed flank. While his attempt to disguise himself was a neat idea, Sengoku's words only drove her to find the true identity behind all that clothing. Besides, what average man would hide underneath so much fabric? Only someone concealing something forbidden around these parts: hollow mask, hollow hole, hollow.

"No need to leave in such a hurry… I'd like to ask you a few questions." She focused her entire attention on him as she spoke, so that she could pounce if need be.

Accusations, questions, potatoes and a bowl of questionably-earned chicken-chunk ramen; all of these were suddenly put on hold as the sky darkened. A quick glance upward, and the reason why would be all too apparent: a swirling mass had appeared in the sky, and from it's center dropped rapidly a metallic circle. As it neared, it became clear the circle was, in fact, a semisphere, being lowered with ropes attached. It would appear, however, that the ropes were doing a poor job indeed of slowing the dish's descent, and it plummeted sharply from it's entry-point.

Rather than connect with the ground, the dish's fall was halted by a collision with the top of the skull of Andra, a blow that sent waves of concussive force through his head, regrettably marking these strange creature's first fatality - for indeed those within the dish could only be called creatures, almost Hollow-like in that their bodies were short and nail-thin, reptilian and scaled little creatures with long, sharp teeth in sharp rows. The creatures wore not masks, their wide, round faces split with smiles as they hissed and shrieked in an almost laughter-like manner, the rope suddenly coming taut and lifting the creatures above the heads of the crowd once again, the lip of the dish level with the top of the Ramen stand.

One of the creatures lurched over the side of their rope-bound dish, opened it's mouth wide, and began gargling forth a terrible gagging noise; opening it's mouth in a fishlike manner, the creature suddenly spewed forth a gout of neon-orange liquid, which splashed over the counter and floor beneath the dish; the lizard's shrieks of laughter again filled the air, and as suddenly as they fell, the dish shot into the air and back toward the portal.

On the counter and dirt, the vomit had apparently formed a message: WE COME FOR THIS IN TWO WEEKS!

Frowning, Kiba never saw the message; he didn't need to. All he needed to see was his beautiful bowl of food, splattered a disgustingly unnatural shade of orange, and with a great sigh the Taicho simply slapped the dish to the side, sending it careening off through the air, no doubt to shatter against some building as he forced himself off his seat. "Wasn't even hungry anyways."

Murmuring and muttering darkly, the Taicho somehow managed to utterly ignore the message, the corpse, and the crowd in general; this was a terrible morning, and he missed bed!

[Exit - Andra exited/dead]

Zane's appetite suddenly vanished as his plate became covered in a strange orange substance. He gulped once, trying to keep himself from vomiting,"I was getting full anyway", He said, tossing the plate toward the nearest wall, shattering it on impact. The young shinigami raised his hand to his mouth and coughed into it, his cerulean-colored eyes moving toward the others that were there as well. He turned his head completely to glance over the body of Andra,"Alright. How about this? We'll all just leave and never EVER speak of this again. Agreed?"

Zane raised himself from the counter and moved away from the stool he was sitting on. He made his way to the door and walked out of it, leaving the small inn.

Sengoku grimaced as Andra disappeared into the maw of a strange and unpleasant looking monster. What the hell had just happened? Sengoku didn't have a clue. he'd gotten all riled up for a fight, and now there was none to be had. With a sigh, he slipped his axe back into his belt, put on his straw hat, and nodded to the assembled folk. "Immensely dissatisfying...sorry for wasting your time, Ume. Drop by the tavern some time, you're always welcome." With that said, he walked off, leaving everyone to their business.

Taisho blinked and everything seemed to go to hell, not really caring all that much he looked around for a quick moment, nodding his head to his captain before turning and started to walk away, bringing his hands behind his head he began to hum a soft song as he seemed to hum his way from the unpleasant events that had happened. Not much could be said of the poor fellow who died but if he was a hollow, who cared anyway.
