Excitable as ever after an epiphany, Kiba came charging into the Second Division with Sui upon his shoulders, whooping as he paused his charge just long enough to kick open the doors of the Second Division lobby, surely knocking the doors loose on their hinges as the Taicho strode into the waiting area, a no doubt thoroughly jostled Rukon child on his shoulders. "DOCTAICHO! Get out here and tell me what you want this kid for so I can get her on her way! Can't keep an adventurer locked up forever!"
As Kiba called out, naturally he reached up and pulled the child off his shoulders, patting her on the head as he set her on her feet beside him - now there was only to wait and see what the results of the entrance would be. Kiba had places to go, people to hit!

[bgcolor=E86100]... After experiencing that run, Sui Torako decided that she'd never ride on someones back ever again. After being interrupted in the cookies&milk hour and forced all the way back here on The Defeated Warriors back, along with the previous injury on her back after the whole incident, she drew closer to the lesson that God was teaching her.
Never. Ride. On someones back. EVER. It only results in bad things happening.
After the whole "breaking & entering" action was performed, and the girl was set down on the ground, she... fell over. "You moron! D-Don't run so fast and force me back here! You.. you.. DOUBLE-MORON!", the load roaring of the miniature tiger yelled, as she got up quickly and attempted to jab her clenched fist into his side.

Of course it didn't take long for Harupia to know about the visit of the Taicho. He did think he heard some commotion down in the lower floor...as one of the unseated members came to him to announce what happened, he rested his forehead against his fingers for a second, shaking his head with a smile which somehow was annoyed and amused at the same time, before heading down.
As he reached the entry hall, he saw the cute Rukon gal, the source of the minor confusion and destruction, assaulting a Taicho. Quite a grievous crime... though he assumed Kiba would feel it more as tickling then anything. Stepping a few steps forward, feeling the eyes of the patients and Division member around him, some outraged cries about settling the situation, he would first say "Let us have a few moments of silence for our fallen comrade...The door. It served us well, defended us from the cold winter and the harsh winds...let his recovery be swift" bowing his head over the door which was indeed, kicked out of his hinges.
Just as he hoped, most people fell silent at this display. He guessed it was a bit of an absurd idea...but he preferred that to simply silencing everyone in a traditional way. The weirdness of the situation got to him for a second...As everything fell quite he would say "Shuchiku Taicho. I see you legs are all well now. That's wonderful news. Though you running here on such a short notice was a feat of its own. I think kicking down the door was a bit to much. If you could be a bit more carefully when entering my Division next time, i would be ever so grateful" he said, scratching his head a bit. He was glad no one got hurt...but he preferred to minimize the risks.
Still, the business part aside, he would smile at him saying "But still, it is nice to see you come in not as a patient...Speaking of which, how is our runner feeling? I'm guessing pretty good since she managed to sneak out of the Division...is your back ok Torako-chan?" he asked the Rukongai girl, smiling warmly at her. He hoped Kiba didn't rough her up to much with his...enthusiasm

The trickling of patients in and out of the second division had remained fairly steady since the morning shift had started. The young Tanaka had been busily ushering patients from A to B and then back to A again, easily encouraging them to move along and heal well - a rash of minor wounds had suddenly taken the unsuspecting lot by storm. Thankfully, none were too serious to rouse the captain from his captainly duties, and things would move along according to schedule.
A schedule determine to come unhinged, it would seem; Mai had just put a patient into a room when the loud noises reverberated from the main entry. Apologizing profusely to the middle aged woman with her slinged arm, the girl extracted herself from the woman's clutches and made her way to the scene of commotion. Enough of a crowd had already arrived to investigate, forcing her to worm her way through to where she could gain a preferable vantage point. From there, she was able to spy Harupia's arrival and the culprits who had caused this mess.
The Taichou she recognized from his rather frightening actions while she assisted his healing - her spine straightened and her palms tingled slightly as she thought back to the sound of breaking - though the girl was fairly foreign; she recalled the memo of the missing patient and to be on the look out for one, and so the assumption of Torako's identity was fairly substantial. Mai's eyes, however, soon rested upon her taichou as he assessed the situation and took control. How easily he managed it, she admired, striving to match herself to it one day.

Kiba's almost-amused expression turned sour indeed when Harupia made his appearance not to answer Kiba's question, as any smart person should have been doing considering Kiba's obviously excited state of being, but instead to wax poetic concerning his stupid easily-fixed doors, which clattered loudly behind the Fourth Division Taicho to the ground. Kiba opened his mouth to make a statement, but was cut off as the little adventurer cried out something about two morons and gave him an over-eager pat on the side, making the Taicho grunt before dropping his hand onto her head, to ruffle her hair in a playful manner - she sure was all about the playing, this one.
"Look, Doc, I'm kind of in a hurry here. Tell me what you want the kid for already so I can get a move on - there's a matter of Seireitei Security needs my attention and I can't just hand off a guest you let slip out of your hands without an explanation as to why she's here in the first place." More or less true - in actuality Kiba SHOULD have been launching a full investigation on the matter, but as the body in question was very clearly not exactly a threat to societal security, he could probably let this slide on the grounds that it was stupid... but basic protocol needed to be followed, at any rate.
And to think, people assumed Kiba was a blowhard who only used his head to hit things really hard! Well, it was more or less true - mentally he was headbutting the living hell out of the situation, after all.

[bgcolor=E86100]Ignored. The lethal in-the-side punch was ignored! Sui Torako was ignored! Brushed aside! Cold-shouldered! Shunned by the man that dragged her all the way back to the low-security "jail-cell"! How was she ever going to defeat such a beast? Her mind drifted for a second, as a valuable lesson popped into her mind, one taught to her years ago.
"Listen, Sui! If you want to escape from, or defeat a large male, you should always aim for.." "THE JEWELS!"
Another attack was made! The girl glared with her sharp eyes, as her fist swung upward towards the mans crotch, attempting to injure him in his more.. delicate areas. "Don't ignore me, triple-moron!"

He rose a brow as Kiba addressed him somewhat irate, basically saying he was wasting his time. He didn't assume that Kiba came here because he was in a rush...he wasn't quite sure what the rush could be about. Still, he would say "I can understand your rush, but opening the door would be just as quick as kicking it down, trust me...but no matter. Miss Torako here was brought in after the creature outbreak we suffered a few weeks ago. She was injured pretty badly, mainly huge riping wounds on her back. She was kept her until she fully recovered and she talked to Saikokui Taicho. She seems to be all healed as far as I can tell, so if you are needed at some other place then the 3rd Division, Ill be glad to take over the watch from you " he concluded with a soft business smile, trying his best to make his answer short as possible.
Still, he missed one thing, the fact that Sui wasn't enjoying being disregarded...and her attempt to attack the other Taicho's groin area. He moved forward to try and intercept, but this move would come out to late... it seemed Kiba was destined to prove he was a true men right here, right now.

Much too dignified to succumb to the sighing daydreams of her mental age and gender, Mai merely watched the situation unfold with a growing sense of admiration. First and foremost, her Taichou's collected mannerisms when dealing with a rather straightforward and reactive, albeit honest and dutiful, man, and his, Harupia's, ability to get his own point across without resorting to the level of his equal. That was not to say that she felt Harupia was the better of the two as a Taichou -- in fact, from all she heard of and interacted with Shuchiku Kiba, he was overall fairly competent, as was her own Taichou; each individual was unique and had his own strengths and weakness, meaning Harupia and Kiba were both the best at what they did.
And Tanaka Mai had a mind to be at that level one day, but it was not this day. No, this was a day for growing admirations.
One by one, Mai ticked off the reasons she admired Harupia. A close second to the man's mannerisms was his ability to consistently smile. She herself was too melancholy to manage any but the fleetest with great effort, and here Harupia was, all pearlywhites and softening eyes. Maybe to be a good doctor, one had to smile constantly; she had tried recently to smile more, but only ended with odd glances and sore cheeks. Perhaps...she needed something to make her truly happy?
Unbidden, memories of her mother and father in the garden came wafting into her thoughts as she cautiously oggled Harupia from afar, face unknowingly shifting into a morose, somber visage (well, she did like that door...).. Her mother truly was her father's soulmate, the way she glowed when he held her in his arm; her laughter came from deep within, alighting from her very heart and infecting those who heard it with an inner peace. And Malik, too, smiled from his eyes when he watched his beloved wife from afar. Mai may have been six when her mother passed from this world, but the memories still remained as a bittersweet reminder to what she had lost at that tender age.
Was it love she needed? Did love make people happy? Would love make her happy?
Emotion blossomed in her chest as she came back to earth, once-glazed violet eyes focusing back on the trio at hand. Interesting, she mused, at how thoughts of being happy from love stemmed from a smiling man. Before she could bring further thought to light, however, there was a shout and Harupia, the object of her wandering eye, suddenly physically responded to a stimulus, forcing Mai's building sigh to catch in her throat.
Her eyes shifted suddenly to the girl between the two Taichou; the position of her arm was questionable at best, which earned a faint blush from the unseated shinigami as two and two suddenly made four. If Mai's assumption was correct, then this girl was not all she seemed...it was almost like Torako could have been the physical reincarnation of Mai's hellion years...without the fear of corporeal punishment. And that was something she could get behind, support. Lord knows she tried to do that very same thing to Malik several times.
Teeheehee.

'The jewels', the child had suddenly shouted - for Kiba, an old hand at taking 'cues' in combat, this was enough of a warning, and before his danglies could be put in danger, a simple crouch had him at Torako's level. Playful scamp, this one, and so to humor her, Kiba's left arm would sweep low, to catch her behind the knees and lift the girl upward, settling her sideways across his shoulders, abdomen pressing into the back of his head as his right hand rose up to grip her topmost shoulder, to keep the potentially struggling girl from falling off his shoulders as he stood up. Ideally, this simple movement would have him holding her on this shoulders by the knees and shoulder, effectively locking her movement as he nodded to Harupia's statement.
"I see, I see. Well, as it winds up, I do have to go talk to Kurisuna-Taicho, and I've already interrogated the kid plenty, so how bout you do me a favor, Doc, and have one of your people escort the little adventurer back to the Fourth Division for me? My people'll take care of her until I get back and have time to take her to the First District. Unless you wanna have one of your people go on an adventure, I guess." The Taicho shrugged at this, which no doubt would translate to a pretty hefty bump for the child on his shoulders, before Kiba's grip on Torako's shoulder would fall away, his upper body rolling leftwise as he again altered the adventurer's positioning into a sitting pose on his arm, which lead to him again lowering her to the ground.
"I'll stop by here on my way back to figure out which way you went with it, Doc. For now, I gotta go - you know how Kukuka-Taichoo hates to be kept waiting!" Kiba's naturally stupid grin belied how dangerously serious the situation was, of course - he had less intention of 'chatting' with Kurisuna than he did... well, okay, yes, a talk would certainly be a part of what he had in mind. But the primary portion was certainly going to involve less verbal communication and more fist-to-abdomen/face message-giving.
Still, this was probably something best not related to another Taicho, especially with a whole load of gawking underlings lurking about, so with a smile Kiba bowed his head slightly toward Harupia, giving Torako a pat on the head before turning away and striding briskly toward the door - Kiba had a date. A pain date. And it was gonna be... hurt. Hot. It was gonna hurt - Kiba shook his head, the pun hardly working now, and simply sighed the thought away as he rapidly evacuated the noticeably Kurisuna-less Second Division.

[bgcolor=E86100] "GRRWWWAARR! L-L-Let me down! Y-you quadruple-moron!" The girl shouted, "roaring" as loud as a captive animal in a bear-trap! Now matter how she squirmed and wiggled, she wasn't going to be released until he made like a horse and bucked off for adventure! Grr.. she wasn't going to be defeated that easy! That quintuple-moron was not going to see the end of this!
"Come back here!", the girl shouted, taking off at the speed of light! And soon, she'd be long gone from the pesky low-security prison.

Hmm...Harupia guessed he underestimated the Taicho's reflex...or rather, his own reflexes seemed to pale in comparison in contrast. A small warning sign the Taicho had seen before him more often then not lately: he still had a lot of work to do. Sure, he had a varied slew of skill's and positive traits, a good listener and negotiator, always cheerful, a master medic...but only that. While healing other was his main job, as a Taicho, he had to be more then a master of his craft. He had to achieve competence in every art of the Shinigami, be a example of physical and mental condition...something he needed to work on more with time. For now, he simply would say "Nice block" as Kiba countered the devastating low blow into the dreaded piggyback hold.
As Kiba explained his own plans in a calm and collected way, he would say "That sounds like a reasonable plan. I wouldn't be as hasty to escort her back home just yet, since there is always the chance Sanbantai-Taicho might want to converse with the girl in person, so ill escort her back to you Division...It wont be trouble at all" he said, smiling up towards the giddy Rukon gal. He preferred to make sure personally she got where she needed, and there was nothing he was needed immediately for. If anything Hotaru was capable enough to take the reins for the short moment.
Of course, assuming everything went well. As he bid farewell to Kiba, he would ask Sui to follow him...before she ran of. Again...Oh dear... Turning towards Mai who he noticed was standing there, he would say "Tell Hotaru-kōhai I shall be back as soon as possible... and we need to make sure we pay more attention to people escaping our grounds prematurely..." he concluded with a somewhat awkward chuckle and running of being the smaller Rukon girl. Ehh... Adventure time ahead.

Still somewhat flabbergasted at what all that recently happened, regardless of the fact that some of it didn't actually happen, Mai could only stand with that slightly stupefied look look on her face; still, she internally applauded the child for attempting the unthinkable, and nodded absently as Harupia ran off to give chase. What an interesting day this had turned out to be.
Regaining her senses, the young medic went back to her room, apologizing profusely to the woman who had been waiting for a few moments longer than necessary. Mai would complete the preliminary exam, replete with history and the reason why the woman had her arm in a sling in the first place -- providing the patient was compliant and forthcoming with accurate information -- before once more excusing herself to get the division member more experienced in such matters. The woman did have a fractured humerus, a diagnosis that far exceeded Mai's currently limited expertise.
And after that, Mai would be free to do as Harupia had bade...and hunt down the elusive Fukutaichou.
