Majority rule will decide if we do this, but it may streamline things in the case of the birthday threads and like Slaking suggested, one for introductions would give new lurking members a place to get started.

I say yes to both. I just think it'd clean things up better to have a master.

But would birthdays be less special if it wasn't a separate thread?

Also, the GFJ predicts a drop in activity of posts for introductions and birthdays per event if this is to occur.

That being said, we are voting in favour for newbies, as the new members are more likely to make an introduction if such a thread exists.

For the introductions I can see there being a master thread. Though I don't think that would be best for birthdays. Would feel a bit less personalized.

However I do like Frox's suggestion of there being a board just for birthdays/introductions.

I'm with Frox and Shizuka on this, a seperate board for introductions might be good. However I find the (sub)forums easy to overview right now, and making a subforum for introductions might make it a bit messy.

A pinned thread for introductions would be most favorable for me.

We simply don't have enough current members or recruitment level to dedicate a board or sub-board to the birthday and introduction posts. It would remain inactive most of the time. I'm already considering moving the wastelands to the Rukongai board as is since it's rarely used.

It's been long enough for people to get their votes in, so the majority decision is that we will have a master thread for new member introductions, but we will not have a master thread for birthdays.
