A scowl was set in pure stone, or rather, would if Shi were a statue. Instead though, he mulled over the problem, or the possible small bump on his figurative path. Information was required for the purpose of finding what part of the Rukongai was the best to obtain. Not the one that practically struggled to survive each day, but then again, one too far in and it would be nearly impossible to obtain. But, perhaps that was a bit of life's reality; and the reward was no doubt worth it in his opinion, to no longer have to deal with insolent fools who did not realize that an easier way to live was possible.
And why should he honestly hide? Only if Shi desired to enter past the boundary of Rukongai perhaps, but the boundary itself? No, no need for such, let them suspect and step up patrols if they saw fit. Perhaps it could be to his advantage, yes. The set-back of going after Andra was now forgotten, and in fact, useful. Going too far in was a bad idea, first Shi needed to probe some defenses-his scowl vanished, replaced by eyes filled with desire and determination.

A smile was set in pure happiness, or rather it would be if Ryuu was an emotion instead of an arrancar. However Ryuu wasn't the physical manifestation of an emotion and his pureness was the result of a lack of empathy for the suffering of others. BUT RYUU WAS STILL SMILING HAPPILY WHILE FROLICKING THROUGH THE WASTELANDS. As he happily skipped along, Ryuu took a bit out of a freshly severed arm that he was carrying in his hand and after some chewing, he swallowed.
"Today is a good day." Ryuu happily said to himself before taking another bite out of the arm (It was tasty). However unknown to both him and Shi, Ryuu's frolicking would soon take him to Shi's location. WAS THIS FATE OR A COINCIDENCE OR POSSIBLY THE RESULT OF NARRATIVE CAUSALITY TAKING ITS TOLL ON THE UNIVERSE? The world may never know. But either way things would soon be a bit more interesting.

With plans already fashioned and goals prioritized, Shi did not waste time turning to walk towards the Rukongai. A quick thought or two was used to remind himself of restraint in favor of causing a mass panic. And of course, a single idea on where to go was added; information was best obtained through observation. Actual conversation would be pointless unless it was accompanied by a good threat to one's life. And no doubt a living being would be more inclined to answer when the chance of being off the menu was at stake. Not that Shi was hungry anyway.

AND RYUU CONTINUED HIS FROLICKING THROUGH THE LIFELESS WASTELANDS. Taking an occasional bite out of his severed arm, Ryuu enjoyed the snack. Not only was it good for the bones but it was also a part of this balanced breakfast. Or afternoon snack in this case. BUT IT WAS STILL A HEALTHY SNACK. Plus it was completely natural with no preservatives in it.
However as Ryuu frolicked and ate his snack, NARRATIVE CAUSALITY'S TOLL ON REALITY WOULD SOON BECOME APPARENT. For who should Ryuu encounter during his daily afternoon frolicking but Shi THAT OTHER ARRANCAR WHO IS MEAN AND NOT VERY NICE. Coming to a halt Ryuu would wave at Shi and say, "Hello Shi. How are you doing today?" It seemed like as good of a greeting as any for the arrancar.

Was it some sort of twist of fate or chance? Shi didn't know and frankly only wanted an answer for the sake of avoiding the one Arrancar who made him question too much. How did Ryuu become one for that matter, with such a carefree (in his mind anyway) attitude? Shi scowled and silently turned around to merely bore two eye sized holes into the taller Arrancar's head, as if to extract the information he needed, but did not desire.
"Ryuu. I am alive, is that not obvious?" he questioned, frowning. Why ask how someone was? It made no sense if one could see that another Arrancar was alive. Socializing was never Shi's strong point anyway.

And unsuprisingly Shi did not seem happy to see him. Ryuu had to admit to himself that he was disappointed (Ryuu did pride himself on being a BALL OF HAPPY SUNSHINE to whoever he met). But he couldn't force someone to not be a stick in the mud if they were that determined.
"Well given how angry you always seem to be..." Ryuu replied. While that might not have been the best response Ryuu found it comical enough to be worth it. "So what are you doing anyway?" Ryuu asked Shi. For some odd reason Shi didn't seem like the frolicking type so Ryuu figured that he had to have some purpose in walking around the wastelands. BUT SOON RYUU WOULD SOLVE THE MYSTERY OF WHAT SHI WAS DOING.

"You're observation needs work, I do not want company, nor do I wish for it," Shi stated coldly, eyes narrowed a little. It wasn't that he was mad, but in particular, he just was not one for being social and saw little reason for it, given the nature of their race. He paused, studying Ryuu and turned his gaze away, but not the rest of his sense. "Heading towards a destination of my own desire. Why do you wish to know?"

Giving a slight sigh at at Shi's response, Ryuu didn't bother telling him that the behavoir that resulted from that was part of the problem. Besides Shi would figure it out eventually. Although given how stubborn he seemed to be, Ryuu was probably being a bit too generous with that assumption.
"A mixture of curiousity and boredom." Ryuu replied to Shi's question. It was true for the most part. Although if things did become boring again some good old fashioned frolicking might snap him out of his boredom. Although if he combined it with murder then it would be twice as fun.

Shi merely spared a single stony glance at Ryuu, neither amused or pleased to hear the reasoning. Not that much ever did please Shi, and frankly curiosity did not sit well where his goals were concerned. At least when it came from others.
"And boredom is what exactly?" questioned Shi, unfamiliar to say the least with the word and concept. It was not to say that he did not feel, simply, Shi was more prone to feeling rage, discontent, loathing, disgust, victory, more primal emotions and thoughts. Boredom, was a bit of enigma.

Resisting the urge to facepalm at Shi's question, Ryuu instead settled for a SIGH AND A SHAKE OF THE HEAD. Wondering the best way to explain the concept of boredom to Shi, Ryuu came up with a few ideas. Should he try to go with a formal definition or provide an example? UNDOUBTEDLY ANSWERING THIS QUESTION WOULD REQUIRE ALL OF RYUU'S FOCUS (but at least he wouldn't be bored).
"Boredom is an emotion where you aren't interested in any available activities or your surroundings. This could be due to being forced to perform an unwanted task or due to an absence of anything to do." Ryuu said in response to Shi's question. Hopefully this explanation would help him understand. If it didn't THEN RYUU WOULD TRY AGAIN.

Shi actually cocked an eyebrow, not expecting what came across as a rather intricate answer. Considering it was coming from Ryuu of all Arrancar, it was enough to ease the stony gaze of Shi. At least for the moment as he thought about it and slowly gave a nod; it made sense at least.
"And to deal with it, you attempt to find something to do, I presume..." Perhaps there was some merit to this, though he certainly wasn't very interested in his surroundings. Could boredom be a possible emotion he felt about it? Or was it something deeper? All he knew anyway was that he rather desired a chunk of Rukongai to call his own and never return to the hellhole of the wasteland.

"Correct." Ryuu said in response to Shi's statement. Smiling at his success in being a teacher, Ryuu didn't consider the fact that Shi may be worse off now that he was aware of the concept of boredom. Perhaps he would now be more prone to it because he knew that it was. Although even if Ryuu did consider that fact that probably wouldn't have changed his response in any way.
"So any other questions you wish to ask about boredom?" Ryuu asked his star pupil. Maybe he could even convince the arrancar to write letters that would talk about what he learned about boredom. Ryuu could always use a bit of material to sustain a fire.

"No... but, I am curious," Shi admitted, glancing at Ryuu for a moment. This was an unforeseen development; not groundbreaking by any means, but the glimpse that Ryuu's words provided him about the odd Arrancar were, intriguing, to say the least. He could now at least say he was bored of his surroundings, that much was clear.
In a way, one could say that anyway. Not to mention that the paradise the Rukongai and Shinigami held intrigued him, and frankly, anything other than the constant damned fight to survive and exist was irritating. Power was good and all, but damn if it wasn't questioned often by any other Hollow. "Are you bored of living in this wasteland?" he questioned.

His student had grown from boredom to curiosity (they grow up so fast). And thus Ryuu now knew that he was an AWESOME TEACHER OF AWESOMENESS. He had turned this young, naive hollow's anger into boredom which then evolved into curiousity. Sadly Ryuu didn't have a diploma to give to Shi, BUT A ROTTING HOLLOW TORSO WOULD MAKE A GREAT SUBSTITUTE. Of course Ryuu would have to go find one which would take a bit of time. BUT FOR NOW RYUU WOULD CONTINUE TO INTERACT WITH HIS STUDENT.
Listening to Shi's question, Ryuu had to admit that it was a good one. Besides no one had ever asked him that kind of question before. Given how basic of a question it was, Ryuu had to admit that it was a bit suprising. Although to be fair, most of Ryuu's interactions with others involved homocide, torture and singing. "A very interesting question. I would have to say that the lifestyle keeps me interested. But the lack of interaction gets extremely dull." Ryuu said in response.
In all honesty he hadn't thought that much about that kind of question. Instead Ryuu focused on finding something to occupy his time. COULD THIS BE THE BEGINNING OF AN EXISTENTIAL CRISIS ABOUT WHAT RYUU WANTS OUT OF LIFE AND CAUSE HIM TO START A DRAMATIC LIFESTYLE CHANGE TO BE MORE FULFILLED? Or perhaps this would lead Ryuu to attempt to organize hollow pit fights for his entertainment.

Shi actually stared, both eyes wide in surprise, and honest confusion. The lifestyle of the wasteland interested Ryuu? Why? For what reason could a hell-hole catch someone's interest when there was a paradise to take? Shi's honest curiosity was in full swing now; Ryuu actually caught his attention now and that was saying a great deal.
"This life within a hell hole, how can you find it interesting? I'd rather be left alone in my den between hunts..." though Shi could at least agree somewhat; if interaction meant combat or the hunt. Or did he mean the interaction between himself and others, conversation perhaps? He wasn't sure, clarification was needed. "We are Hollow, we do not interact beyond fighting and survival, the only place I can think of one would even go to find any other kind would be the Rukongai."

Keeping his trademark smile on his face as he watched Shi's reaction to his answer, Ryuu didn't expect Shi to be so suprised. Although the look on his face was comical enough that Ryuu barely suppressed a laugh at the arrancar's expense. It was a nice change of pace from being angry and mean and nasty and slightly smelly. Given how guarded he always seemed to be, it seemed likely to Ryuu that something that he had said was extremely shocking.
Then Shi was kind enough to explain why he was so SHOCKED AND HORRIFIED at what Ryuu had stated. Ryuu saw how he became just a bit more excited when he mentioned the Rukongai. Combined with how much hatred he seemed to have for the wastelands, Ryuu now knew a lot about him. He undoubtedly thought that he could find a place in the Rukongai. Someplace that would be perfect and he wouldn't have to worry about living in the wastelands again. It was a dream that Ryuu had seen (and occasionally crushed) several times before.
"It's interesting because it keeps me guessing. Because I need to keep on my toes. Because out here there isn't anyone that I need to answer to. Ryuu replied to Shi. Smiling a bit more warmly at the arrancar Ryuu then said, "And that lack of interaction is so dreadfully dull and droll. It's precisely that lack of any social interaction that makes this place a wasteland instead a thriving city like the sereitei. We are all so paranoid and deprived of resources that our first instinct is to kill each other for food instead of cooperation. The reason there is any interaction in the Rukongai is because they don't try to murder each other on sight...much." And that was why Ryuu smiled. Why he whistled and frolicked. Because it was more fun that way. Because it might make a hollow talk instead of kill. Plus Ryuu didn't want to deprive the world of his smiles or frolicks FOR THAT WOULD BE WRONG.

Shi stared, eyes wide though not in confusion and curiosity. Merely attention for when Ryuu' didn't seem to be a fool and a questionable existence of an Arrancar... well, Shi was finding himself to be surprised and intrigued. He personally was tired of dealing with anyone who simply believed they could take him apart because he was an Arrancar; because he was different. That, and all he ever cared about was continuing his existence and not the actual thrill of the kill.
Still, he could not simply disregard Ryuu's words. No, not after learning more about his fellow Arrancar for what he said held true; those who survived did so because of strength, experience, and instincts. Trained and honed instincts that did not dull in the hellish wasteland of their home. Fights were common, but the victors lived and had to wait for another fight and prepare for it. Though he was intrigued by Ryuu's comment; specifically, about answering to someone. Was that a problem in the Rukongai perhaps?
"Do you desire the interaction that the Rukongai have? Knowing that they live without having to kill each other for sustenance, for survival?" asked Shi, actually keeping his hand off his sword for the moment. And for good reason; this was now an actually enlightening conversation for Shi. "... That we are, and cooperation... sooner or later one in a partnership will grow greedy and desire to sate their hunger. Only meat can fill us anyway, nothing else."

Continuing to keep his smile in place, Ryuu took note of Shi's reaction. Given what his body language indicated, he was both suprised and interested. But still not angry. Undoubtedly this was a sign of HORRIBLE THINGS OF HORROR. Afterall to Ryuu it seemed that Shi was just a short ball of anger and...more anger. But all it took to make him not angry was to be serious. Sadly however this was a price that Ryuu could not AND WOULD NOT sustain.
And then Shi asked him even more SOUL SEARCHING QUESTIONS OF MEANING. At the very least it was leading to an interesting conversation. "I would say that I do. However its more for the variety that it gives to everyday interactions. It's an extremely nice change of pace." Ryuu said in response. Noticing that for once Shi didn't have his hand on his sword, Ryuu smiled a bit more. Afterall it seemed like he wasn't the only one who was enjoying the conversation. "That may occur but my point is that no one really gives it a chance because they are convinced that it will occur. Besides it doesn't have to be hollow meat that we feed upon. Ryuu continued.

Shi could at least concur with Ryuu on that; from what he had glimpsed during his brief raids on the Rukongai, the obvious difference in lifestyles were impossible to miss. Though there was something about the peaceful setting that appealed to Shi at least as far as a break from constant struggle for survival. And to rip a piece of paradise away from the unworthy and undeserving Rukon inhabitants themselves. As well as the Shinigami.
"I suppose that I can agree upon. Though, what would you feed on instead of the flesh of a failed attacker of our kind?" Shi asked, arching a single eyebrow in preparation for the possible response. After all, Ryuu seemed to be surprising him today; perhaps there was far more to the Arrancar than he initially suspected and assumed.

And his star pupil had now asked yet another question. Honestly though Ryuu had to admit that he was suprised by the fact that Shi only knew about hollow meat as a source of food. BUT NEVER FEAR FOR RYUU THE TEACHER IS HERE. And not only would he teach his young naive pupil...but he would do it IN SONG. However a tune for a song didn't form in Ryuu's head so regretably Shi would find himself songless for the time being.
"I'm very glad you asked. Other than hollow meat there are a wide variety of other things we can eat. These include chicken, beef, steak, lamb, sheep, fish, pork, venison, moose, reindeer, turkey, jerky, snurkey, your neighbor, your other neighbor, your neighbor's family, your neighbor's pets, rabbit or elk. Plus there are a lot of other ones that I missed." Ryuu said in response to Shi's question. While a few of the options were a little far from normal such as elk or moose, a few were quite common and tasty such as beef and snurkey (a most rare and completely not made up type of meat that required careful preparation). And now that Shi knew, he was now halfway through the battle. Because as we all know, KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE. And killing is a fourth and the last fourth of the battle is looting the dead.

Jib-jab, jib-jab.
In the distance chatter began occurring in which caused his trek to at first slow, then die to a halt upon his being familiarizing itself with the voices. Shi and Ryuu. Andra listens in on the last bit of the conversation to make sure he wasn't the topic of choice. Upon hearing it was safe to enter, he cuts in. Andra maneuvers around the oddly assorted stack of boulders, plucking leftover feather off the headless chicken in his hand. Just when turning the corner to come into view, he purposely drug his feet on tAhe ground to grab their attentions. Though if that wasn't enough, he was already calling out, "Greeting gentlemen. I do hope I am not interrupting."
Andra raises the fully-plucked chicken to his mouth, stopping only inches from his mouth so he could excuse himself, "Please, excuse me for one second, my trip here.. it was a long one." Then following up just after his words is probably the most inhumane thing these two Arrancar have ever seen a humanoid figure do. Though, Hollow are rarely humane. The red-eyed devil consumes the ten pound, raw chicken. It was seen when Andra grins that his maw stretches almost entirely across his face with an almost uncountable amount of dimples lining each end. The first bite was nommed and swallowed before the second was devoured similarly.
Blood that had splashed out from each bite now drips from his jawline, teeth drenched in red. taking the already stained collar of his.. sort of.. white robe, Andra wipes the blood clean from his face.

Shi stared for a moment before filing down the information. And for a good purpose, not only to learn a bit more about Ryuu but also for the future goal of obtaining a slice of paradise. He would need to keep himself well fed and adapt to the food of the Rukongai, or rather, life there eventually. Though as he heard Ryuu mention the last bit of possible things to eat, his eyes slowly narrowed a little.
"All but the last few are only available in the Rukongai," he stated, wondering what he meant by family. What was that word? What purpose was there in having such? An unusual question one might note, but for the socially oblivious and battle-hardened Shi, it was practical. If it didn't involve survival and continued existence, what purpose was there in it? "Sounds more as if one must either visit the Rukongai often to get the finer meat..."
He actually stopped talking, eyes narrowing coldly as his hand slipped right back up to the zanpakuto handle. Every fiber of Shi's being became energized as the short Arrancar turned to study Andra, scowling as normal. Only the most trained of people could see the slight irritation at the perceived interruption to his rather intriguing and slowly growing conversation with Ryuu. And the sight of Andra's eating habits did not cause Shi to flinch, but scowl harder. "Andra."

Ryuu had to admit that Shi's statement was quite hilariously wrong. Although it seemed to be more out of a lack of imagination if anything. "Actually if you know where to look snurkey isn't that hard to find." Ryuu stated before continuing to say, "Besides they can available here in the wasteland if we make things less wastelandy and more farmlandy. Just need to make sure that the population of animals is sustained. But for now you would have to go to the Rukongai in order to try those out. PERHAPS THIS CONVERSATION WOULD LEAD TO A MASSIVE LAND REDEVELOPEMENT IN THE WASTELANDS IN ORDER TO MAKE A SUSTAINABLE ECOSYSTEM FOR FARM ANIMALS TO LIVE IN AND BREED IN. Or maybe not.
AND THEN ANOTHER CHALLENGER APPROACHED. The challenger in this case being ANDRA THE ARRANCAR. Which was actually a nice phrase given how alliterative it was. "Hello Andra. Where were you coming from?" Ryuu said as he watched the arrancar devour the chicken, However Ryuu didn't consider it inhumane at all (afterall Ryuu put the laughter in slaughter and the smile on the face or other remaining body parts of anyone who he encountered). However Ryuu noticed the subtle changes in Shi's body language that made him go from not angry (which was apparently possible) to angry (which was normal).
BUT AT THE MOMENT RYUU HAD SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO TELL ANDRA. Something that he must know immediately. "You missed a few spots." Ryuu said to Andra before pointing to Andra's nose and right underneath his chin.

_________________ Andra stares at Shi blankly. His gaze restricted specifically to Shi's gaze, Though while displaying his empty face at Shi's angry one, through his peripherals, he catches Shi's hand sliding onto the hilt of his sword. The red-eyed devil shook his head at Shi while chuckling lightly and when his chuckle died out words came to life, "If you are planning on drawing on me, Shi, then I suggest you do so now. But if you are not, I would kindly ask you remove your hand from your weapon. You disrespect me by displaying a hostile nature toward me. It's understandable to be defensive and safe at first sight of an Hollow, but this is not our first encounter, I have shown you (using it loosing) kindness and respect. Least you can do is return it?"
Andra steps forward to the three so that he could talk at a common tone, his hands remain open palms at his side. The red-eyed devil glances at Ryuu and says, "Thank you," and proceeds to wipe the rest of the blood from his face. Once cleansing his face fully he glances at Shi while saying, "Now.."
"..I have one question for the two of you.."
"Would you like to rule an empire?"
His eyes, face, and even tone held the old tinge of seriousness.

Contrary to what Andra desired, Shi did not remove his hand. In fact, he merely shifted his expression from a scowl to a mere flat expression of acceptance. Andra frankly had ruined a chance for Shi to investigate Ryuu and perhaps quickly reconsider his opinion of the odd Arrancar, and for his own devices no doubt. He merely began systematically selecting the ideal muscles to cut, keeping his hand frozen in place.
"You talk too much," he stated in complete and utter social bluntness. If there was an award for social killing, Shi would be the one to own two centuries worth of the trophy. "And I don't care," added Shi, the only change in his body language being slipping his zanpakuto further in it's current wearing angle.
And with that, Shi merely settled for staring and listening. Andra talked a great deal, but there was no point in giving nothing to him. Respect in Shi's mind was that of the obvious decency to approach another Hollow neutrally. Eating in-front of them like a mere animal instead of the powerful and intelligent beings that they were (not to mention interrupting his investigation on Ryuu, a crime which Shi was gladly planning to punish Andra for) was simply disappointing and an insult to their race. He would not show respect to such a being who acted like a mere animal and not an Arrancar. By that definition, Ryuu at least showed respect by replying and answering his questions when he didn't have to. Andra, merely came in and made assumptions and requests that Shi couldn't care to even listen to.
"No," Shi stated flatly, mentally snorting at the idea. An empire? Of what? A wasteland? The only thing Shi wanted and would like to do is cut out a piece of the best land of the Rukongai and establish it as his own. By cunning or by force if need be.

THINGS WERE BEGINNING TO GET INTENSE. Andra had demanded Shi to take his hand off of his weapon and if Ryuu understood Shi well enough he could easily say that wouldn't happen. AND NOT ONLY DID THAT NOT HAPPEN BUT SHI MADE IT EVEN EASIER TO DRAW HIS BLADE. Undoubtedly at this point in the story, Ryuu being the innocent party out of the three of them (insert coughing here) would do everything he could to prevent a deathmatch between to two arrancar. Indeed that may have been something that he would have tried but he was too busy finding a good spot to watch the deathmatch where he would then eat a snack while watching the show. Maybe if there was enough of the loser's corpse left, Ryuu would be able to take some of it home for a snack.
But then Andra asked A QUESTION OF INQUISITIVENESS. The question being if Ryuu was interested in ruling an empire. "Not really." Ryuu replied. Empires were too much trouble. Sure they were able to strike back if attacked by some sort of group of rebels, but they demanded constant attention. If he did rule an empire Ryuu would have to listen to the complaints of hundreds of people and resolve their problems. Plus he would also have to direct groups of people and pay attention to the infrastructure. Not to mention that there was always the possibility of a rebellion (or a traitorous chancellor) who would have him killed at the first oppurtunity. Besides even if he could have anyone killed for any reason that type of dirty work tended to be done by soldiers so he wouldn't even be able to enjoy doing the deed himself. All in all the concept of ruling an empire was more trouble than it was worth to Ryuu.

Andra shook his head and called Shi out, "It's more than obvious you're socially retarded, but can you stick your head far enough out of that cold, hardened shell that you've manifested over the years and years of complete ignorance and idiocy, just long enough to at least hear, possibly, the proposal of a life time? If not, then I'm telling you to leave. Now." Andra could care less about wear Shi had his hand now, because that was simply making Andra nervous. When Shi was blunt and short with a negative response, that's when Andra got mad. He saw the potential in Shi, it was there. It was in Ryuu too. Andra wanted to bring that out in them with one project. But they couldn't even bother to hear it out. They have this long, wide stretch of land to claim. But yet Shi wanted nothing to do with it and Ryuu was to lazy to even think of running any piece of land larger than the space of his cavern.
"In case you are both unfamiliar with the meaning of 'rhetorical questions', it means, a figure of speech in the form of a question that is asked in order to make a point and without the expectation of a reply. I was going to follow up with an explanation, or a presentation if you will. So, I'm going to start talking. If you don't want to hear me out, then you're welcome to leave, and/or..-"
Andra simply cuts off there and begins taking about the Empire deal. All the while his eyes remain on guard as well as his hands and overall senses.
"I have been around since the dawn of Hollow. I have seen many rise, I have seen, too, many fall. I have seen the way we are treated, like we're the bug on the other end of a human's boot. It isn't fair, and for decades I've researched, I've learned and I've experienced -- Throughout my life, I learned that there is a way to end the hatred. You see, us Hollow. We thrive on meat. Whether it be Shinigami, Human, Hollow or even Animal. Animal is the key for separation here. If we can create a group, a council, that runs the Wasteland, we can manage and sustain the casualties lost on both ends. We can utilize Adjuchas as a work source, we can force them to stop fighting and devouring those people and Shinigami. If we just create a source of food in which to supply them. In turn, if we do this. We can possibly stop the war, create a peace and restore the Wasteland to a land we see fit. We create this--" Andra stops and stomps on the ground briefly, "-- this land into whatever we damned well please."

Shi merely stared at Andra and simply raised a single eyebrow. Proposal of a lifetime? Hardly. And the remarks only made Shi select the Achilles Tendons along with the shoulders as well as throat. He simply stared, wondering why in the hell Andra asked such a question if not for an answer. "Ryuu, is he making any sense to you?" he murmured in a low hushed whisper. And given Shi's height, only Ryuu was likely to hear such a small whisper. Though Shi did shift his attention back onto Andra, and for a moment his gaze turned from irritated to acknowledgement. Namely for as Andra spoke, Shi focused on the oversized blow hard, staring silently and merely began shifting from crippling strikes to land to mere aggravating areas. It was only until Andra finished that Shi curled his lips before snorting.
"End the hatred? I have no intention of ending my hatred, my disdain, my utterly loathing for the foul little Shinigami and Rukongai inhabitants..." Shi growled out, snarling in utter disgust and loathing. This, this was supposed to be another Arrancar? Utterly. Pathetic. Rule the wasteland? Foolish, Shi had no intention of ruling a wasteland. No, he desired the paradise, yet, at the same time he wanted to keep himself sharp and strong. Somehow...
"If you had the time to plan such, then you could have employed it sooner. Far sooner," he stated coldly.

And then there were more insults. Knowing that Shi would undoubtedly find himself provoked even more by the insults, Ryuu's theory was suprisingly enough disproved after giving a quick glance at Shi. He seemed a bit more confused which then transformed into more of a blank calculating expression.
Smiling to himself at Shi's question, Ryuu quietly murmered back to him, "Yeah." Given how quietly he had murmered, Ryuu was positive that Andra wouldn't be able to hear him.
AND THEN THERE WAS A SPEECH COMPLETE WITH STOMPING. It was a speech that would undoubtedly touch the hearts of all of hollowkind. The kind of speech that would unite their species under one banner. But then all of them would probably start to eat each other when they were under one banner. Plus Ryuu could already think of a few flaws in Andra's reasoning. BUT IT WAS STILL A NICE SPEECH.
"Well the thing is that it doesn't sound very interesting to me. If I find later on that it is interesting to me then sure, I'll lend a helping hand. But I'm not at this moment." Ryuu said in response to Andra.

"All we do, all we have been doing, is fight. Just fight, fight, fight. The war, on neither side, has not budged. Nor will it ever through physical force. The sooner you allow that bit of reality into you head, the sooner you'll see the truth. Because what you do not realize, Shi, is that your pathetic hate is much smaller in comparison to a peace treaty uniting two differently born races." Andra says to the both of them. Though, it was really just Shi he was having the problem with. Andra knew that motivation wasn't to far around the corner for Ryuu and so while he was talking to both, it was really more directed at Shi.
Andra's eyes had long finished analyzing the situation, now they were merely awaiting the right type of movement in which he would perceive threatening. Andra already planned to let Shi throw the first strike. As with precise calculation of both distance between them and Shi's blade length (sheath measurement; with very minor deduction), Andra was already prepared to initiate a counter-attack. And then there was Ryuu, he wasn't showing much hostility (maybe even none) and so while not completely divided unto Shi, he minorly observes Ryuu through his peripherals.
"If you had the time to plan such, then you could have employed it sooner. Far sooner,"
"If I had the time? I have it, and it's now. I have thousands of years under my belt that were solely dedicated to researching. I did not limit my field one bit, because of it I have learned and witnessed things beyond your comprehension. I can see the much bigger benefits for my race with this plan than with any plan you would be able to muster."
Then there was one last verbal jab, "..You're no smarter than the average Adjuchas, Shi. You're close-minded and closed-off."
