Name: Kabelja Watson
Gender: Female
Age: 1770
Reiatsu Color: Cyan
Reiatsu Aura: Indifference
Faction: Shinigami
Rank: First Division, Nineteenth Seat
Appearance: Though Kabelja’s appearance is that of a lady in her 50’s, the years have not diminished the hue of her vibrant red hair, which is kept up in a bun. Being Yoshiya’s twin, she also has his brown eyes, and his six feet of height, though not her build, being rather svelte.
In contrast to Yoshiya’s unkempt appearance, Kabelja keeps herself prim and proper. Her uniform is completely regulation, with the only flair on it being her division’s number.
Her stance and her walk give off an air of a lady, having much poise and grace, in both these and her other mannerisms.
Personality: Cold, and aloof. Her parents’ influence upon her early life, and that of her brother made her view the world as just a series of data points. Her prosopagnosia has only compounded her nature, as she found herself unable to form social bonds, seeing everyone as just faceless individuals.
The degradation of individuals into mere actors in a system has given her an almost perverse love for systems. She is very much one to do things ‘by the book’, and is quick to quote regulation. Indeed, she has most of the books memorised, and what she doesn’t, she knows where to search to look it up. She has no understanding of the Rukon desire for freedom, believing that such a thing will cause destruction of society, though she does recognise that such a thing is not within the purview of her job.
Despite her lack of social relationships, she is approachable in a professional capacity, and will aid others if she is able to, believing more in the whole than oneself. As assisting her fellow Shinigami will in turn help the Gotei as a whole, it is in her advantage to provide assistance. Similarly, she will aid Rukons, as it is good PR for her to do so. Of course, she will not aid projects which would be detrimental to the Gotei.
History: Born two hours after her brother, to Paul and Evana Watson. From an early age the twins were taught about duty, and to put it above their own desires. They were thoroughly indoctrinated in their parents’ ideals, taking after their attitudes. As per their training, both became masters of their reiatsu, shirking emotions to accomplish this. Kabelja became proficient at conjuring ice, her brother, fire. Their emotionless state was made infinitely apparent following the death of their mother in 254nw. Following her death, the family stood at her graveside for a moment, then seldom spoke of her again, not out of denial, but rather out of lack of reason to. A similar incident occurred just over half a millenium later, in 783nw, after the death of their father, though Yoshiya had been broken after the split of 500nw, and was slightly more dazed at the wake.
She joined the Gotei at the same time as her brother in 382nw. Two years after, both twins moved out separately from their parents’ house. None of the three households made social calls to each other. The only time after this date that the family had anything resembling a social engagement was the aforementioned funeral of Paul. Kabelja’s involvement with the Rukon Citizen split was limited to dealing with paperwork and secretarial duties. As such, her heart was not opened and destroyed, like her brother’s was. She did recommend medical treatment to her brother, though this was out of a sense of logic, not concern. She has not seen Yoshiya since he left the Shinigami in 1037nw, and has no desire to see him again, though she has no desire not to see him either.
In 1000nw, Kabelja was allocated to the 1st division. Her effectiveness as a bureaucrat caused her to function well in her position. After having a number of years in the position and becoming familiar with the workings of the Gotei, she became an expert in her field, an invaluable asset to the organisation. Her reserved and asocial nature meant that her importance wasn’t discovered for a number of years. Her prosopagnosia was also a concern, as it was deemed a risk to security. Eventually she was promoted to the nineteenth seat in 1027nw. Her condition was still a worriment, and has prevented her from being promoted higher, though she is indifferent to this, as she was to being seated in the first place.

Division Skill: Hell Butterflies - A tradition passed down from the first People, members of the First Division are trained in the art of creating black butterflies from reiatsu that can carry verbal messages. The creator must know the appearance of the person they are sending the hell butterfly to or the exact location it needs to go to, as the image of the recipient or place is embedded into the hell butterfly upon creation and that is what the winged messenger looks for when delivering its contents.
Free Skill: Insomnia. Through training, Kabelja has trained herself to have almost complete mastery of her sleeping patterns. As such, she requires very little sleep, and is able to dictate to her body when it should sleep, how long it should sleep for, and how heavy a stimuli must be to wake her up prematurely.
Abilities
Shikai
Bankai
Zanpakuto
Zanpakuto Name: Janus
Spirit: Janus is a bipedal elephant, standing just under six feet, with a monocle and powdered wig, dressed in an orange blazer and waistcoat. He is very excitable, which causes him to bounce around (not good, him being an elephant) and causes his voice to rise in pitch.
Inner World: A cosy lounge, warmly furnished with a roaring fire in the fireplace on a rainy evening.
Sealed: A straight blade, five foot in length. It is completely unremarkable, uniform like the rest of the lady's appearance.
Shikai: Valek
The sword becomes a cudgel, four feet in length. The cudgel is coated in a hard layer of ice, save from the grip, upon which a number of sharp inch long icicles have formed. The number of icicles is equal to 1+2n, where n is Kabelja’s weaponry skill.
Attack: Kabelja may telekinetically draw the ice spikes from the cudgel and have them hover around her. Once drawn, the icicles grow to six inches in length. She may then fire them at a target up to ten meters away. Not all icicles need to be drawn in the same post, nor fired in the same post. All icicles fired in a post are fired in a burst, rather than one after the other, though they do not all need to be fired at the same location. Icicles cannot be fired in the same post that they are drawn, nor drawn in the same post as they are fired. Icicles can be held for two posts before being destroyed anyway. Kabelja cannot draw more icicles if she is already holding any. Icicles regenerate at a rate of one per post after being fired or destroyed, not after being drawn.
Bankai: Phendrana
The sword is cloned into two, with a three foot chain linking each at the pommel. The blade of each becomes a round shaft, as it morphs into an ice axe, though with a two foot pick emerging from what was originally the sword's tip, and a sharpened outer rim. The adze juts out six inches.
Attack: A pale blue circle, two feet in diameter, appears on any surface that is large enough and that Kabelja can see within five meters of her. A paler light fills the circle from the outside in, taking one and a half seconds to do so. Once the circle has been filled, a pillar of ice, about three meters in height, erupts from the circle. A small amount of ice extends beyond the circle at the base, to provide stability to the pillar (though the effectiveness of the stabiliser depends on the nature of the surface it was created on, and the angle of the ground it was created on.) Whilst the pillars have a pointed tip, they are rather blunt in nature. Kabelja may chain up to three of these attacks in one post, each additional circle appearing one second after the previous circle appeared. After creation, a pillar lasts for three posts before exploding into nothingness. Aside from a small flash and loud noise, the explosion is harmless. This attack may be used once every five posts.
Attack: The pick is smashed into the ground, creating a straight line of jagged ice which travels for thirty meters, at a rate of five meters per second. The line is about five inches wide and three inches high. Upon hitting a wall, the line will continue up the wall. Similar logic applies to other situations where the line hits a solid, sturdy object. Kabelja can create two of these lines at a time, one with each axe. If the two lines cross, then they continue on, unaffected by the other. The lines of ice explode in the same manner as the columns do, though at the start of Kabelja's next post. Kabelja can launch this attack once every three posts.
