It was going to be a very long day do to the fact he had to make sure everyone in his division new his rank had changed to taicho. As the fact behind it he wasn't fully sure why, he accepted the mantle of the rank cause of his duty to this division but he truly wanted to under stand why his taicho dropped from her rank. So first thing on the new taicho of this divison was to pull Ume in for a meeting. He quickly made his way to his new office only to be stopped by young female unseated member of his division.
"Fukutaicho-Techimaru-san. Where are you going, Taicho-Tachibana is not in."
The little woman looked up at the beast of a man, noticing that the badge on his arm was gone. Her eyes widened noticing the jacket he was wearing before she could open her little mouth once again, Taisho brought up his left hand, his eyes some what narrowing looking at her. "Tachibana Ume No longer hold's the rank of Taicho in this division. From this time forward I'll be the Taicho of this division, Make sure everyone in the division is brought to the courtyard later today. Also Get a hold of Tachibana Ume and bring her to this office right away. I have much to talk to her about, Another thing make sure a member of this division head's over to Soutaicho-Tanaka's office to repair his door. That is all."
With that Taisho entered his new office closing the door behind him, walking over to the desk he pushed the papers what was left from Ume and sat at her chair. Sliding his sword out from his sash he then placed his sword on the desk as he crossed his arms closing his eyes. He would rather be outside in the sun enjoying the beating ray's of it on his body, but that would have to wait. He needed to get some things cleared up before he had any enjoyment out of life.

A lost, drifting soul trapped within endless thoughts often wandered aimlessly, less focused on the road and direction as well as reality, but more-so enraptured with the dwelling concerns of the mind. Sleep hardly seemed like a necessity, and she ate what minimum allowed for a healthy frame, including the standard drink of water. With restless questions, Ume further isolated herself from society and other people, spending much more time enjoying the quiet and tranquil surroundings of nature. The second district, a place of foliage and healthy growing wildlife, boasted a comfort that allowed her to explore the recesses of her analytical mind. Often wondering if returning to her home in the Rukongai was a swell idea, Ume wasn't quite sure if she could bear telling her father about the news.
Occasionally, hygiene and perhaps will permitted the ex-captain to clock into her dormitory; a recluse preferring a book or daydreaming over the discussion of her issue. So, it was but a lucky stroke for Taisho to aim for summoning her on this day, as the female Tachibana hid within her chambers - or, well, what was left of it.
Normally, the room was hardly in disarray. In fact, while she was lazy, menial tasks such as cleaning and packing barely caused her thoughts to stray, negating any sort of clutter or mess to occur. Packing was on her agenda, aware of the gradual - well, actually sudden - shift of command. All of her personal belongings stowed in bags and boxes, crates and cases, luggage ready to be towed and 'shipped' to the next destination.
Luckily, for the woman tasked with finding the first Taichou of the Fifth division, her search would be an easy one; checking the bedroom to stumble upon a mindless Ume. Stuttering, the lower ranked member mustered the words to ask Ume to the office, causing the woman to eventually snap out of her contemplation to attend to the request.
Shuffling down the hallway, she knocks upon the office door with the back of her hand, knuckles the point of collision against the wooden surface. Awaiting for permission to enter, she'd reluctantly cross the threshold, eyes surveying the differences within the room that was once her own.
Talking was in order, she supposed.

There the new taicho of the division sat waiting for Ume to show up. It wasn't that long of a wait but the man disliked waiting all together he was a man who was always on time. At least to himself he was on time, manly things came first, much like tanning and working out his manly like body or even putting lot's of sun tanning lotion on his manly like body. He let out a low breath as he closed his eyes remembering the day he joined the division, it was always a dream joining this division they always were the ones walking around and doing what they did. They also were the ones called into battle first and that tickled Taisho's fancy. Quickly he was pulled out of his day dream as a knock came onto the door. He cleared his throat as he spoke in a very calm carrying way.
"You may enter"
Once his old Taicho came into the office he brought out his right hand pointing at a chair for her to take a seat. There was much to talk about and he didn't really have a lot of time to spare with her at this time. Once again he crossed his arms over his chest. His eyes looked down at his lap to see the fukutaicho badge on his leg just resting there. He quickly looked back up to Ume smiling softly as he looked at her.
"I'm sure you have an idea why I summoned you to your old office? But just in cause your not fully sure I shall explain. Soutaicho-Tanaka has given me your old spot as Taicho of this division. Fact of the matter I wish for you to explain to myself at this time. For the reason why you dropped from this spot in the division."
He allowed him self to take a breath as he leaned forward in his chair, resting his elbows on the desk as he placed his hands on his chin leaning towards the young woman. He wanted to understand why she stepped down from this rank, It wasn't because of him and how he acted around her was it?.

A nimble shake of her head was all that amounted to refusal of sitting down, her frame and mind seemingly coinciding as the two, body and brain, "wandered." Speaking of wandering, her orange-hued orbs, matching the shades and transitions of the sun, trailed around the room to settle along the new Taichou. His gesture, specifically the crossing of his arms against his chest, signaled an impatience, but more-so overloaded and swamped with other duties. It was apparent that Taisho was occupied with the mess Ume had left; causing the lips to decline in a frown, although the expression remained hidden behind the fabric against her face. Not a word was muttered as he asked her to seat, either, but instead a quick and curt point with an extension of his hand and finger. The smile on his visage, however, would oppose the notion.
Aimlessly sauntering over to the small case of books, her eyes noted the thin layer of dust upon the shelf, upper torso pivoting if only slightly to return glancing in his direction. "Yeah, I suppose I do." She exhales slowly and deeply, only to inhale sharply; breath held as she ponders her own reasoning. It didn't take long for her to respond, strangely. "If I knew, I'd tell you; but, with a mindset like this, it was in my best interest to step down... I couldn't let others fall with me. I wish you congrats, though." Ume turns around to fully face him now, leaning against the shelf in the wall, fingers placed and curling along the bottom shelf. Attention and eyesight whirling once more around the room, she the adds, "I guess... I'm trying to reflect on my life." Admitting that it wasn't his fault for her resignation as captain, Ume watches and awaits his response with a blank and questionable expression; noticing just barely the badge against his lap.

Taisho sat back in his seat listening to his former captain speak a few times he wanted to cut her off and speak his mind but he just nodded a few times through out her speaking and smiled softly when she was finally finished. Uncrossing his arms he leaned forward in his chair placing his hands on the desk. Tapping his fingers over the wood surface his blue eyes looked up at Ume as she leaned on the book case.
"I have been placed as the divisions Taicho to make this division do it's job to the fullest. I under stand why you removed your self from this rank. Can I accept it, Sadly I can not. However the Soutaicho has and I have little say in the matter as to the law of the gotei I was charged with becoming the new captain. Your reason's I do not agree with."
He sat back again grabbing the fukutaicho badge and slammed it on the desk in front of him never losing eye contact with the young lady. His eye's some what narrowed in disgust how she was acting of the matter. Letting out a deep sigh he slowly pushed him self away from the desk, not leaving his chair just giving him self more leg room. With that he allowed him self to take another deep breath to speak once more this time his voice a little more rough and upset sounding.
"I have also been placed to give you a new seat in the division, that seat is not going to be the Fukutaicho of this division. As I do not agree with what has happened so with the power I hold in this division to myself you do not earn the right to old the fukutaicho spot. For today your new rank is no longer unseated you'll be placed as the third seat of this division. For your order's I'll be sending you to the Rukongai district four and then make your way all the way to the first. I want those agree's watched over every day through are division member's. Are job as shinigami and this proud division is to protect those people and we have not. If you spot any Hollow I want you to contact this division right away. If you have anything else to add to this talk, Speak."
Taisho would stand up from his seat and turn around to face the window, his back towards his former captain he allowed his emotions to show again, have a few tear's go down his tanned cheeks. He loved Ume in many ways, he looked up to the woman..so he didn't under stand why the roles have changed.

Bizarre, how a little sense of authority and power could seem to change someone. The entitlement given to Taisho altered his demeanor, appearing to be stern and commanding to the ex-captain's interpretation. He also seemed more opinionated on the matter than what she would usually expect, but Ume shrugged. What little care was left into her demotion, she didn't quite know; but that didn't mean her concern for her friends and members decreased at all. He might have disagreed with her actions and reasons, but it wasn't like he specifically knew. She partly regretted dumping all of her work and responsibilities onto him, though.
"Very well, Taichou-san." She muttered mindlessly, hardly flinching as he slammed the badge against the desk, gazing intensely at her person. It was obvious that Taisho was furious, disappointed, maybe, but disgusted, surely. While he might have sounded colder before, his tone now showed his devotion and care for the Gotei, and the division as a whole. She shook her head softly, not necessarily acting cold or distant herself, but a detachment that couldn't be explained otherwise. Ume wasn't upset with his decision, but also didn't agree, verbalizing her opinion. "Eh, I think it'd be best to save the higher spots for other members. I'd like to give them an opportunity to expand and grow in ways that I would only hinder them. For now, I'd suggest to leave me untitled, that's all I ask. I'll go patrol the districts, just do that for me?" Ume murmurs gently, her gaze not narrowed or faltering in the slightest. She observed Taisho as he turned his back to her, wondering herself if he had felt betrayed. If he wanted her gone from the room, she'd only wait to be answered before attending to her duties. Her room was almost clear for his turn to move in, though she wasn't about to mention it now. Glancing at him with her soft, orange-cream eyes, Ume sighed inaudibly, noticing that she had ultimately shattered the beliefs of one of her dearest friends.

Taisho nodded a few times as the ex-captain spoke he allowed her to speak more as she talked about her seat he nodded once again understanding what she was saying fully. He shook his head a little bringing up his hand rubbing his chin a little, masking he was rubbing his eyes to remove the damn tear's he had. He then re framed of showing any emotion once again in his face and body as he turned back to face the little woman.
"Very well Tachibana-dono, I have heard your request, however I do agree with you with the high seat perhaps 13th seat shall do more. Its more a seat suited for your actions at the time. Once you show your self worthly of any higher seat i'll be sure to accept a new rank for you. That is all for know, I want a report on my desk no later then tomorrow. Your dismissed."
He moved back infront of his desk as he sat back down, he had noticed that Ume's stuff was slowly leaving the office and his was coming in, in a few hour's everything he owned would be in his office what he needed. He smiled softly as he looked back at his best friend pretty much and nodded towards her. "It was a true honor following your steps Tachibana-dono. Until I call for you again." With that he ended the meeting even if Ume would speak to him once again he wouldn't reply he simply went back to his paper work looking over the next person who shall be his right hand male or female.

Brows declining, her lower lip quivered as it accommodated a remorseful frown, realizing Taisho's true emotion had begun to show. Visibly upset, but trying to conceal his tears with a turned back, Ume could feel the anxious burning in the pit of her stomach; butterflies even fluttering painfully at her heart, which throbbed almost violently in mourning. She had obviously burned a hole in the fabric that was their friendship, and for that she was eternally apologetic. She couldn't begin to fathom what exactly he was going through, or all the possible questions he possessed, but now wasn't the time to attend to this situation. Who knew... Maybe Taisho would prove to be a better leader than herself. Only time would produce the result of such occurrences.
Sighing heavily, she needed to find the reason for her bizarre attitude and demeanor. The female member of the Tachibana ichizoku had to discover some alternative, some sort of treatment for this detour of the path of her life. Nodding softly at his statements, she exclaims, "I think, you should leave me undecided for now... We'll see how things go for a bit, and meet up again when you have time. I'll be here if you need me, and you'll have the paperwork on the desk in the morning." Ume stands erect and detaches from the wall and shelf, nodding to the manly man.
"Thank you, and I'm sorry. Have a good day, Taisho-san." She gave him a gentle wave before wandering quietly out of the room, debating whether or not to return to her room to pack some more or head straight to the districts of the Rukongai. Either way, there was much to be done... and more to wonder about.

Hearing that Ume was still back talking Taisho made him break the quill in has hand as the short woman left his office, his eyes quickly shot up to see the woman running the desk in front of his office. "Guren-san, Please come in here for a moment" He moved over a few paper's grabbing blank page and quickly got a new quill writing down a simple order. As the young woman entered the office she bowed her head.
"Techimaru-Taicho, You called me?"
Her voice was some what shaky and unsure of why she was called into the office or she was shaky for the fact she didn't know what kind of man Taisho really was. She looked scared to be standing in the office with the tank of a man. "It's Ok Guren I'm not going to give you a massive scary mission were your going to have to go fight all the hollow on your own. It's simple really. Inform are rank's that Ume Tachabana new rank is of the 6th seat of this division. That is all, you may go back to work."
He quickly looked back at his paper work sighing softly, He made her that seat for a reason and he didn't like getting questioned she no longer had the right to question his actions so much when she didn't have the grace to really explain to him why she left this spot so he was going to make sure she was close to him as the 6th seat and with that seat she could train the other high seats. There was much work to do and little time he quickly scanned over the next good choice for his Fukutaicho as he slowly rose from his seat. Perhaps some sun tanning was in order while looking for the next person, he scooped up the files and off he went.
