Name: Ayakashi Shiranui
Gender: Male
Age: 2954
Reiatsu Color: Golden
Reiatsu Aura: Possessive
Faction: Rukon Citizen
Spouse: Ayakashi Amaterasu
Job: Shiranui owns the largest cereal plantation of the 1st District (southwest of Seireitei), and manages Amaterasu's winery.
He is human in appearance only.
A few gilded locks tumble forward, boldly rending the smooth symmetry of his face and casting small, slanting shadows across the high plane of his forehead. They frame a pair of sleek cat eyes; his pupils are slit, offsetting the rich, effulgent blend of reds imbued with an oh-so faint aura of danger -- every now and again, the light would catch them just so, and warp the dark sensuality of his gaze into something alarmingly off.
He appears wanton, self-satisfied. Perhaps it is his mouth, curved in a cupid's bow smile, looking as likely to kiss as to devour. The effect is dramatic, not entirely unappealing, yet dangerous; there is an arrogance lurking about the corners, cloaked behind a transient, inviting furl of the lips, as though he is beckoning the innocents to him.
Standing at 6'2'', Shiranui might've looked commanding, if only he weren't borderline effeminate. He is built with neither speed, nor agility in mind, with the definition of a mesomorph; his musculature is hidden behind an entire wardrobe's worth of loose-fitting garments whenever he should seek recreation, and a suit -- tailored golden, not silver -- for when he would source out the competition.Personality
Be dramatic, she thought with a sly smile. That way, you have the upper hand.
It was certainly emboldening, to stampede down his hall, and plow through his door. Surely he would sense it; surely he would feel her stepping past that line of demarcation after upending his carpet, so compulsive was his attention to detail. The pathology had served him well, she knew. It had made it impossible to collapse the threads, and pin the crime upon
the Ayakashi estate's ruthlessly dogmatic heir. There simply isn't enough evidence.
The doors swung open, and she transitioned deeper into a domain envisioned by incredible wealth. There was a place for everything, and everything had its place, from the immaculate tapestries to the timeless assortment of exotic vases. ''He's a collector,'' his file had read. But, that was not the whole of it. He hoards. Can't bring himself to throw away anything.
She wondered when things had spiralled out of control, how the responsibilities of corporate powerhouse could've changed him from an ambitious young man to a murderer who would deal with the devil himself if it meant his advancement. Now, he would greet her, all smiles, but there was a malevolence, some fool's magic at work she realized might have been present all along, for he had always been so overbearing, so arrogant he would appear to pitch the very sun for sale, if only he were to speak of how beautiful the day was.
Her resolve buckled as she stepped onto the rustic parquetry. The floorboards, waxed to a shine, creaked mutedly beneath her feet. Really, she had nothing to fear, not right now. He was just so unpleasant for any Shinigami to talk to, and if it hadn't been for their history, he would have never received her in the first place; Shiranui had all the trimmings of someone so vainglorious, they could not be brought to follow any agenda but their own, forget accommodating the investigations of these so-called gods of death. He had even learned to tread the knife-edge of ''unlawful conduct'' and ''immense pain in the ass.''
And, oh, how would she greet him? This was no time for ''You killed her! How could you.'' No, that may as well be the slogan of this treacherous bastard's life. He would not care if she were to call him a killer, or a coward, so long as it was to his face, where he could dodge her epithets with ease. He had smirked off their previous encounter with a fiendish up-tilt of his lips, so confident was he that they would never catch the spider that set this web.
Gathering her wits about her, she stood before the door to his office. Would he look at her as a man might, or as a craftsman, determining which part to carve, which joint to twist? Or would he shed the demon slithering between the cracks of his skin, and treat her well, the way she knew he could reward the loyal members of his establishment? For all his propriety, she found that it was best to envision Shiranui as the man in predatory stillness, the man with the disconcerting eyes, for whom promises came fast and lies came effortlessly.
And with a brazen aforethought, Kurisuna turned the handle.HistoryBorn to the Ayakashi estate, Shiranui was quickly taught that to succeed was to slay the demons of a lucrative business; he was homeschooled in accordance with the family's tenets, and largely forbidden from interacting with other children. What ties he did form were few, and among these was his friendship with Amaterasu, whom he would later marry after succeeding the Ayakashi's agricultural trade and inheriting his father's sword.

Shiranui staunchly opposed the Shinigami; he has severed business with Seireitei on multiple occasions, succored the adjuchas Kiku, and met a menagerie of Hollow. Later annexing a recently deceased competitor's lands into the Ayakashi's own, he was suspected of murder and subsequently cleared of charges -- the acquittal was celebrated with a second merger, producing the largest plantation of the 1st District.Inventory110 Gold
