Standing at a height of 6'2", Azoth is a great deal taller than his cousin, Chishio. His medium build is layered with some muscle, weighing in at 165 lbs. As with the family trait of the Yakanami Clan, Azoth sports a fair complexion, but unlike his cousin, is not susceptible to burning. Along his arms and hands are several scars from his childhood, trying to keep Chishio out of trouble. His triangular tattoos take on the powdered blue color of his reiatsu, also giving him the trait of a Yakanami.

Azoth has dark shaggy hair, and like Chishio's, is shaved on the left side of his head, out of a promise he made to his cousin. The length of his hair stops at his chin, the fringe feathering over his seemingly expressionless steel grey eyes. He is more likely to smile than his cousin, being that he never had problems with his family. His shihakusho has minor alterations to it, the sleeves being cut off and a hood sewn into the fabric of his uniform.

This Yakanami is a laid back man, very little could get under his skin. His time spent with Chishio has allowed him to take almost anything thrown his way. He is able to easily jump into a conversation,  making him an enjoyable person to have around as company. Because of his lax nature, Azoth is one to go with the flow, not really liking to get into any sort of trouble. However, trouble was always around in the guise of Chishio's anger issues. Even if Chishio is at fault, Azoth will defend his cousin, no matter the cost.

On his free time, Azoth likes to hang out with others or enjoy some quality time with his cousin. The main reason they get along so well is because of his willingness to listen and try to make Chishio happy to the best of his ability. He also likes to go out and get a drink with some buddies, although he is a bit of a lightweight.

Being born to the Yakanami Clan held a lot of trouble for Azoth, that trouble being Chishio. At the age of two, Azoth was given the duty to protect the younger Yakanami, not because she was instantly trouble, but because that was the way the clan held family together. The Yakanami never questioned his family, doing what he was instructed to do. As the years went on, Azoth would become the protector he was supposed to be, helping Chishio with the fists fights she caused. During these times, Azoth would grow to dislike fighting.

When he came of age, Azoth joined the Gotei, being placed in the First Division. His bond with his cousin began to wither, due to him being busy with his shinigami duties. Even when she joined a year later, Azoth rarely saw her. When it came to her big fight with another member, Azoth finally stepped back into her life, giving her a place to stay for those twenty years. Once she returned to work, the male went back to keeping Chishio safe, helping her with her anger issues with simple exercises. During his years in the Gotei, Azoth was offered several chances to be promoted, all of which he refused. Today he continues to give the support Chishio needs.

Suisei is a creature most people tell stories about to keep children from straying to places with water. Dark, brackish green, seaweed like hair hang limply against the nymph's head. Her bright golden eyes appear to be innocent, but under the facade, she's a cruel individual who is always plotting something macabre. Because she lives underwater, she has gills upon her neck, her face a smooth curve from her forehead to her lips instead of a nose. Her ears are fin like, the ends appearing tattered, much like the fins of a crowntail betta. Her scaly hide takes on the pattern of a koi, but instead of the usual black, white, orange template, Suisei's skin takes on the palette of blues and greens. Her fingers are webbed, as are her frog like feet. When she's laying upon the large lilly pad in the pond, she can be measured at a length of 4'9".

Suisei loves to make her master uncomfortable in any way possible, telling him multiple ways to skin and gut a creature or how to make the perfect kill. Her voice, when teasing, takes on a sickly sweet tone, when angered, her voice becomes lax, Azoth making sure to keep an even greater distance from the pond the nymph dwells.

Azoth's inner world looks just like the home he grew up in as a child. The difference, however, is that everything is in a silvery, metallic sheen. The only place that doesn't take on the mercurial appearance is the pond his Zanpakuto resides in, the waters being a deep teal.

When sealed, Suisei is like the standard katana, the blade being 24 inches in length and the hilt 10 inches, allowing him to use it with one or both hands. The hilt and sheath are a deep blue color, three strands of twine a paler shade of blue. His zanpakuto does not have a guard upon it.
