Kiku couldn't go on anymore, dragging himself across the cruel and barren landscape that would soon become his grave, the young hollow didn't even have the energy to shed tears. They had killed Rui and Ganjou with a sadistic glee. The pair had never harmed anyone and had kept to themselves yet even so it didn't change their fate. One which Kiku was soon going to share with them. "At least i'll see them soon." Kiku though to himself as he pulled himself forward just a little bit more. Watching as the landscape shifted into the visage of his mother in her final moments, Kiku closed his eyes and turned away from the scene. Yet the sounds of her screams and pleas for mercy soon reached the hollow's ears. Yet even worse than that were the accusations. He could have helped. He should have been stronger. He held them back. He shouldn't have survived. It was his fault. It was all his fault. However just as the cacophony of cries reached its crescendo, there was a bright flash of gold that Kiku could see through his eyelids and the noise was gone.
Opening his eyes to see the ceiling of the winery that he now called home, Kiku had to remind himself that it had been months since that day and he was safe in the basement of the Ayakashi winery. Blinking a few times, Kiku soon found himself alert and ready to start his day. Getting out of bed and giving his arms and legs a quick stretch, Kiku listened at the door to make sure none of the staff had found their way into the basement. Satisfied that he wasn't alone, Biru left his room and walked down the hall. Coming upon the desired door, the hollow entered a former storage room that had been converted into a training room. "I have to become strong. I have to become useful." Kiku thought to himself as he decided to forego warm ups in favor of bag work.
Despite having the frame of a child, Kiku's small stature hid the strength that the hollow possessed. However Kiku's form and technique tended to be mediocre at best. Bringing both of his arms up so they were parallel to his body and hovered a few inches from his face, Kiku simultaneously moved his left foot forward and his right foot back. Neglecting to place his feet a shoulder's width apart, Kiku proceeded to throw his first punch onto the bag. Clumsily thrown, the blow would still knock the bag back a bit though Kiku nearly lost his balance in the process. "What was wrong with my form that time?" Kiku asked himself as he stopped the bag's swinging and moved back to his previous stance in order to find the flaws in it.
