The newly appointed Fukutaichou of the Fifth division let out a small groan, her only working hand rising with care to rest against a very throbbing temple. The pink-haired woman perhaps went just a bit too far last night.
What had even happened the day before? She could hardly remember, besides the many, upon many bottles of sake, upon which she had fallen over the following morning when she rose from her almost comatose like slumber. All other events from the previous night were lost to the momentarily ill shinigami.
The pained female could only hope she hadn't done anything embarrassing.
"Ugh, my head." Her balance was sloppy, added with an uncharacteristic sway to her normally loose and casual walk. A stick in her path, nearly made the lazily garbed shinigami trip over her own feet.
"I'm never drinking again." Yuna vowed softly into the brisk morning air, already knowing she'd probably be drinking once more as soon as dusk hit. The poor woman couldn't keep herself away from the powerful beverage, no matter how much she swore it off. It was clear Kusanami had a gluttonous taste for punishment.
'Or I'm a simple, weak, shinigami who is afraid of going to sleep sober in case her dreams reveal things she'd rather forget. It could be that.' A cold shudder crept through Kusanagi spine at the bitterly cruel thought. There was a small chime of truth to words, but it was nothing she wanted to dwell on in her present state, if at all.
What Yuna really needed was a nice long dip in the local hot springs. It wasn't like she couldn't do with loosening up a bit, just relax and hide from her Captain in case he had things for her to do.
Hell, the more she thought about it, the better it sounded like a good idea to take a few unnoticed hours off. You know, just until she was feeling better. It wasn't like she was going to be able to focus on much with the hangover she was nursing anyway.
An excuse, maybe, but nevertheless effective in making up the newly established lieutenant's mind. Nobody would notice her absence anyhow, right? Right.
The now increasingly chirpier Kusanagi paused, a sudden and important realization crossing the young looking woman's train of thought. In her muddled, and still slightly drunk state she hadn't even considered where she had been walking this entire time. Though now as she stared, people buzzing past her in their own business, did she finally come to the conclusion that nearly made her eyes widen in surprise.
Perhaps do to the incredible mingraine, or the sluggishness of her thoughts, the pink-haired shinigami, oddly enough, had no idea where she was.
She...She had somehow gotten herself lost.
"Uh-oh."

The burly form of Sikes lumbered through the third district, as he went this morning to collect. Someone was behind in their payments, and if they didn't pay up, then he'd have to get nasty, though he honestly believed that the tenant in question would pay up this time. He was taking the backstreets. Having grown up here, he knew the geography like the back of his hand.
The man was jovial, for he had no reason not to be. He had already eaten a good breakfast, and been kissed goodbye by Belle, so life was pretty good. Pretty darn good.
But it didn't seem to be for one Shinigami, which he found staggering around. Her injuries didn't seem fresh, so it was unlikely that she had just been attacked.
"Probably just drunk...." he thought to himself.
"You OK there m'a...woah!"
His reaction was not, as most would have, to her lack of attire (though he was cautious, the missus wouldn't like it if he got too close), but rather, at that moment he had seen her armband.
"So, you're the new deputy chief screw? What happened to the burly bloke?"
Come to think of it, he was quite often 'out of uniform'. Was it something that came along with the station? He chuckled to himself at his own joke.

Yuna tensed in surprise at the sudden gruff voice that intruded upon her thoughts. She hadn't expected anyone to pay her any heed, let alone try to converse with her. And the pinkette had to admit, she wasn't sure she was in the right mind for any sort of social interaction.
Moaning just under her breath, the Shinigami turned towards the man who had pulled her away from her hopeless realizations of shameful embarrassment. A single pink colored orb took in the stranger's appearance with an obviously pained squint. The other pink eye remained nonchalantly closed, hidden under a cleanly healed scar that ran from her eyebrow down to her cheek. Though it held full function, even since Kusa had gained the cursed scar, the eye had remained firmly shut. And though it had been many years since she had received the visible betrayal across her features, the new lieutenant could still feel the burden of it's self-imposed loss.
'He looks like a scruffy, old bear.' She mused silently to herself, taking in the older man's large stature and gristly beard with a curious gaze. He was a good few inches an more taller than her, and the sharp redness of the old scruff's beard seemed to only add to a sense of feral ferocity to the stranger's appearance.
"Definitely a scruffy, old bear." Kusanagi remarked in humor, this time out loud, yet in her sluggish state not immediately realizing it had been said. Instead, the young looking woman raised her arm to scratch a small itch on the top of her head, watching the old guy in growing confusion as her foggy mind tried to decipher what was coming from his lips.
Of course, her lip reading was by far the worst.
"Screwing a burly bloke that was a deputy chief? I don't remember doing that." Yuna allowed her palm to rest against the side of her forehead as she stared with pain and slight nausea towards the older stranger.
"I just feel like someone pounded my head through six houses and then slapped a tree trunk against my stomach for a hour." As if to put emphasis on her point, the pink haired shinigami slouched towards the ground, a tiny groan escaping her throat. If the thought of slipping into the hot waters of the hot-springs didn't enter her brain previously, Yuna was sure she'd have collapsed on the spot by now. As it were, the female wasn't even sure how long she was going to last. All the noise was getting to Kusa's poor head, throbbing against her skull and making the dizziness she felt increase the longer she stood in place.

Sikes was insulted by this lady.
"I'll have you know that this kimono is tailor-made! And I keep it in top nick! As for old? I'm in my mid-800's love. What do you mean old?"
He couldn't be too mad though, it was clear this lady was clearly off her rocker, had a bit too much to drink, if you will, and hadn't quite sobered up.
An amusing thought suddenly crossed his mind.
"That uniform looks a bit on the big side for her, like it would have fitted that other bloke, and she does has that armband, and she's obviously had quite a bit to drink, perhaps what she said did happen"
"'ere love, you manage to pull a high ranking beef and gravy last night?"
He chuckled to himself at the thought of Taisho having to make the walk of shame through three districts of the Rukongai without his uniform. He'd be sure to tell the boys down at the pub later that night.
"Anyway, you'd best get home, and sharpish too, before any of the patrols find you. That hooky uniform of yours is sure to be hot property."
OOC: Thanks ^_^ And welcome to Akatokiyami!
