Appearance: Leon, much like his twin brother stands at 6’1” tall and has a small body frame with a slim figure and a miniscule amount of muscle to his body. His eye color is a light grey color and his hair, opposing his brother,is white as pure snow, the same as their mother’s. His hair is in a spiky disarray with some strands following in his face, some pointing out and some pointed upward. His left eye is completely covered in bandages that are only removed in order to change them. The bandage is used to hide his left eye, which was injured in a hollow attack, making Leon's left eye completely useless. His outfit, unlike the others, consists of a pair of black hakamas and a black sleeveless shirt covered by a white jacket.The jacket has two chest pockets with fur lining the cuffs of the sleeves and the hood. There are also belts wrapped around his wrists and lightly around his neck. His unusual outfit is usually replaced by a Shihakushō when going toward a meeting involving his Taichō or when addressed about it, but he tends to not carry the uniform.
Personality: Leon is a distant person, usually trying to be on the best side of every person he meets, but not allowing himself to become to attached with another being. His sense of detachment has developed from the loss of his parents and the feeling of being unable to help care for his weaker twin brother. His demeanor is generally calm and cocky, using sarcastic speech when addressing anyone,regardless of their position. This seems hypocritical as he does not seem to desire putting people off, but usually he manages to with his way of speaking down to everyone.
History:
- 1726 n.w. – Zane is born in District One to Feirra and Toshiiro Valentine along with his twin brother; Leon Valentine.
- 1738 n.w. – Toshiiro and Feirra are killed in their home and are found by their sons. The two boys are told that this as a result of a hollow attack, but rumors swirl around that this was, in fact, a lie.
- 1739 n.w. – One year following the death of their parents, Leon departs from Rukongai and abandons Zane, leaving him to fend for himself.
- 1740 n.w. – Leon takes refuge in a small place that comes dangerously close to the Wasteland where the Hollows reside. Leon decides the place would be grand for training and resides here.
- 1745 n.w. – Leon grows tired of his new place of residence and decides to become a wandering fighter traveling all over the area on the borderline to the Wasteland.
- 1745 n.w. – 1800 n.w. – Leon spends a grand total of five and a half decades traveling around, not settling in any one place for longer than two weeks. Leon grows tired of the life he has and returns to he Rukongai to find his brother.
- 1825 n.w. – Without realizing it, Leon watches Zane get into a fight in the Rukongai. It’s short lived and the two ended up avoiding each other. This ended up being the last fight Zane ever got into in the Rukongai.
- 1900 n.w. – After several decades of going into hiding in the Rukongai and training, Leon follows suit of his brother and joins the Gotei in the First Division as an unseated member. Somehow the two never encounter each other once during the time.
- 1900 n.w. – Present – Despite his work for the Division and the amount of training he puts in, Leon turns down every offer for a higher seat.
- Present – Leon finally comes into contact with his brother and the two spend what little time they have together catching up. There have been several instances where Leon was sent out as Zane’s lackey for random mission, but these instances are quite rare.
Leon and his brother had a good life in the Rukon. Both parents living, a good neighborhood to live in and no real problems to have to deal with. That all went away, however, when their parents were brutally murdered and the boys found their parents corpses. Leon, plagued with the retched memory, fled the Rukon to find inner peace and get rid of the pain. Fighting for survival became his life as he lived dangerously close to the border of the Wastelands and dealt with hollows on a day-to-day basis. It took many decades before Leon decided that he needed a better life with his family and he settled for finally enrolling into the Gotei, being placed within the First Division with his brother.

Division Skill: Hell Butterflies - A tradition passed down from the first People, members of the First Division are trained in the art of creating black butterflies from Reiatsu that can carry verbal messages. The creator must know the appearance of the person they are sending the hell butterfly to or the exact location it needs to go to, as the image of the recipient or place is embedded into the hell butterfly upon creation and that is what the winged messenger looks for when delivering its contents
Free Skill: Styles of Travel – Leon spent most of his life traveling to various points around the outside of the Rukongai, within the Rukongai and close to the Wasteland. In these travels he saw and took on many strong opponents whose fighting styles all varied like their users. Given his intellect, Leon picked up on how the styles worked and he is able to replicate them to near perfection giving him a large arsenal of hand-to-hand combat styles and attacks

Zanpakutō Name: Oni kyojū (鬼巨獣, Demon Behemoth)

Oni kyojū appears as a rather large and ugly monster. He stands Twelve feet, five inches high on hind legs and Eight feet high on all fours and easily weighs close to Three Hundred pounds. He has somewhat of a Mohawk on his head, though it’s actually some kind of de-formed horn on the beast’s skull. He has four grey and white wings, two from his shoulder blades, two from the region of his first lumbar bone. He is blind from his left eye, which was actually slashed down the middle by Leon during a scuffle between the two. The eye itself is now a glossy white color, but the normal color is a light red color. His hands are clawed with three finger-like digits and one thumb-like digit on each hand. His feet are clawed as well, but he has two toe-like digits on each foot and one on his heel which is seen because he walks on his toes. He also has a short tail which resembles five hardened orbs attached to his body and each other with a scorpion stinger-like appendage at the end.
Oni kyojū is a rather talkative and annoying Zanpakuto spirit and tends to drone on and on as well as to go on tangents often. He also has a tendency to become enraged rather often, even freaking out on Leon when he visits their spirit world because his vision is so bad. Aside from these incidents, the two tend to get along rather well given their proning to become angry and viciousness.
Inner World: The inner world of Leon is called the “Hell’s Keep”. It is a simple steel platform that is attached to the surrounding cave walls by large chains in the corners of the platform.Surrounding the platform, around the edges, are high chain-link fences and,beneath and around all of it, is lava.
Sealed: In it’s sealed state, Oni kyojū resembles a normal katana with a blade measuring 26 inches long and a 7 inch hilt with the sheathe measuring the same as the blade. The sheathe is pure black with splotches of white that look like someone pushed a paint brush against the sheathe is several places. The hilt is pure white in opposition to the sheathe and the guard resembles a rectangle with marking that look like a crack in the guard.It is supposed to resemble a “Shattered Mirror” look.
