Lithe to the point of appearing frail, she is roughly 5'5" and weighs 110 pounds. Her face is very chiseled and heart shaped, and her bones are well defined on her body, giving her almost no womanly curves save for a slight allowance for her hips and chest. Her complexion is much like her father's, exceptionally pale. Due to her build and coloring, she is always believed to be sickly. Her white hair shimmers with tones of silver, and falls well past her waistline, another trait likely inherited from her father. Though her large eyes are hazel, they have flecks of orange and green in them, giving them a unique coloring reminiscent of an animal. She has a very feminine face, soft full lips, a petite, perky nose, and thick eyelashes. Because of this, she looks much younger than she really is, often giving many the impression that she is not only sickly, but a child at that.
Personality:
She has the persona of a quiet, meek creature with a gentle hand and a soft voice. Despite her unique appearance, she is often overlooked because of her personality, as she shies away from the spotlight. Thanks to this, she has always been able to see things others miss, allowing her to appreciate the beauty of the world around her. She is friendly, though not overly outgoing, and her emotions are almost always in check. A perfect example of this is that her family never once saw her cry after her mother's passing. In reality, she was a dark, angry creature whose loneliness over the years embittered her to the point of finally tossing it all aside on a suicide adventure to the wastelands.
Likes - Butterflies, morning fog, reading
Dislikes - Loud noises, crowds
Fears - Heights, failure, nightmares
Talents - Painting, drawing, writing
Flaws - Can't whistle, weak, introverted
After the Desert
Chie now finds her memories locked away, lost like her zanpakuto. She has been mentally reduced to the meek, polite, truly loving child she once was. She is still quiet, but warm with an open heart, and a little more outgoing than she was as the years had gradually turned her into a great introvert. Her emotions are not perfectly in check now; she takes care with them, not for the preservation of face and secrecy, but out of respect and kindness to others. At this previous point in her life, she had not yet been well enough to really interact with many other children (though in her heart she wanted to), or other people aside from her family, so Chie has returned to a innocent bashfulness coupled with curiosity. The trauma from the desert has left its scars as well, rendering her much more easy to scare and jumpy. The memories of the main horrors of the desert remain scattered in her might, only resurfacing clearly in flashes at times, or in nightmares.

The first born child of Malik and Chiyoko, Chie came into the world frail and sickly. Though she remained delicate in her earlier years, developing her into a very quiet, introverted girl, her thirst for knowledge and a rare showing of boldness drove her to join the Gotei despite her parents' opposition. Her health gradually improved with time and training, and all seemed well as her new sister was ushered into the world. However, a few short years later, her mother passed away, leaving the family in shambles. While Chie attempted to help both father and sister heal, she slowly began to draw away by distancing herself. Perhaps to help herself heal, or perhaps she knew that time would help heal their wounds, she became lost in her work and private life during the upset of their family balance. For a time, Chie's physical and mental health seemed to take a dive, as she took a leave of absence for a decade. Cloistered in a private room in the 2nd division, she interfaced with nearly no one, especially requesting not to be see anyone she was close to (including her family) Her introversion took a darker turn for a time, but when a decade had passed, she emerged, fit for duty. She dove right back into work.
At the beginning of 2001, Chie finally snapped. Self-imposed loneliness and illness has wrought her mental state to a final breaking point, and with the intent of destruction, she stalked into the Wastelands. There, she had hoped to either die or grow strong, so strong that no one could ever overlook her again. But it was in the year that she was gone that she lost not only herself, but her powers and her zanpakuto. She ran afoul of a powerful Hollow, and the battle that ensued fragmented her memory, though she managed to escape her death. Her memories and sword departed from her, buried in the drifting, heartless sands. Her memories of her childhood remain, even clearer and sharper than before, and she has been reduced to the mental state of a child, believing herself to only be 70, though her womanly body confuses her greatly. She is unaware that her mother is dead, and that she has a sister, though somewhere in her mind, those memories are locked away, with only strange, confusing scenes appearing sporadically in her mind. These memories often manifest themselves into nightmares. Through much wandering, she managed to find her way back to the White City, back to her home. The only clear memories of the desert that remain are those of her journey back home.
