Standing at 5'4 and weighing a mere 150 pounds soaking wet, Cain's initial appearance is as nonthreatening as could be imagined in a male. Possessed of a soft frame with a slight curvature rather than sharp angles, features usually worn by children and long since cast from those of his age, and with his entire self enshrined by the flowing lengths of wintergreen hair pouring off his scalp, the not-so-young figure is oft mistaken for a female. Demure and soft-spoken, with a voice hugely unfitting his sex, Cain does not strive to break the illusions others bear.
Rather than the elaborate garb his friends dress themselves in, Cain keeps to strikingly simple designs, usually a long, loose white tunic that pools at his ankles with matching pants. By and large the slight male goes without footwear, exalting regularly on the feeling of the earth between his toes. Cain claims it is this, the immaculate connection he retains with the earth, that allows his features and even his clothing to go largely unblemished even on the rowdiest of days, through rain, sleet or mud. On his right wrist Cain wears a slim golden bracelet, his only accessory of true value; around his neck he keeps a long leather strip, shaped as though a necklace with a loop falling to mid-chest and a long strap terminating near to his waist.
In overall appearance, that some facet of Cain's features are utterly unnatural is an absolute certainty. The symmetry of his face, the soft glance of his eyes, the way his minted locks tumble elegantly to his knees, his very method of movement all reek of mannerisms copied, of a false ideal taken from the pages of scrolls long-since lost and emulated to perfection. The longer one perceives Cain, the less the incorrect nature of his appearance becomes noticeable, but for a few long heartbeats, it can only be said that Cain less resembles a man than some sort of overly-designed doll, dressed in a man's clothes and attached to sophisticated strings that move him along seamlessly.
Personality: Where his companions tend toward deception or sliver words, Cain is a considerably more 'pure' – which is to say, straightforward – person. Rarely without his semi-serene personality, Cain can be said to float through his days, be they spent in the garden, the kitchen, or wherever else; generally with his emotions and intentions worn on his sleeve, little can be said to contribute to Cain's stress levels, and often when he perceives those around him suffering undue stress, he will recommend some manner of stress reduction. Often, this includes a small, hardy meal or a walk through his gardens, but from time to time the suggestion will come in the form of a wrestling competition – little, after all, assists in a calming so much as physical weariness or the expenditure of frustration.
Cain claims a whole-oneness with nature, and should he fall into a talkative mood will preach with a smile concerning the desires of the world around him – the desire to feed those who tread upon it, the desire to propagate, and from time to time the desire to feed itself on the fallen. Where many others with shared views concerning a living planet espouse peace and love, Cain is quick to remind that even in nature is life given and lost in shocking regularity – and should the spirited young man be urged to action, he will move with the explosive, swift precision of a bird of prey.
History:
As Shiranui took the mantle of the family business, so did Cain receive promotion, becoming the master both of the garden and of the homestead, overseer of all duties within either. Cain held the ceremony at Shiranui and Amaterasu's marriage, guided the cease of product toward Seireitei, and though it irked him to treat a wild animal so, made a 'home' for the Hollow provided supplication.
Upon the Ayakashi Estate's second merger with the plantation of a former rival, Cain has recently all but lost his overall responsibilities as far as personally tending them, so far as Cain now has so many workers under him he no longer has them as his own worries, keeping to them more of pleasure than any real obligation.

Free Skill: As a studious son of the planet, Cain is acutely aware of the earth around him. Because he knows his land and the beasts that walk it, Cain's senses are attuned to the natural world to the point where, within thirty yards radius of himself, he is aware of creatures weighing over 100 lbs that are not taking measures to actively disguise their presence – after nearly three thousand years devoted to the natural world, he has well come to learn the 'feel' of humans in his world of nature.
