Alright, so it's been months since the broadcast, and a lot of this isn't actually written down. Question time: Question 1: Carry-over gold from the old system/setting replaces or adds to the starting gold for the new system/setting? In my case, does Malleigh receive 50 + 70 gold because of Aya, or does she merely start with 70 gold? Question 2: To what degree are carry-over character similar? I'm more or less playing the same faction, a magic-based character, a female, and a naive one at that. The biggest difference is in personality and appearance, and that I've traded her poor healing magic and greater strength for dexterity and poor fire magic. I believe it was stated previously that the characters in this setting are waking from some kind of "dream" so I could easily see justifying Aya as a sort of idealized way Malleigh would want to be, different in just the right ways. 1. You get your gold, not the extra 50. 2. You've pretty much answered this yourself. Sex, 'faction' and some personality traits are all that need to remain the same, possible relations as well if possible. As for your magics, that I'll let Froxy handle for the Gifted are more or less her baby and she'll explain it much more better.

Very well. Then that answers my questions, and now I can be done and ready for mods. Huzzah!

Just a few questions so I can edit my history accordingly, but if you guys don't have it right now, I can wait.
1. Is there a certain age when gifted powers develop? 2. Are they immediately taken to the order of the sun?/Is it mandatory? 3. Are they obligated to remain in the vicinity of the order or can they go about their lives relatively normally?/Are there any restrictions in the order?

Ho'snap this has been sitting for awhile! Sorry Ki! I'll answer your queries to the best of my ability, I'll make sure Froxy double checks just to be certain I'm providing the correct information.
1. Gifted children are id'd and start to develop their abilities very young, in or around toddler to small child ages. So basically from my understanding 3-6ish.
2. Yes and yes for the most part, for having a child whom is gifted is considered to be a very high standing honour.
3. They do have times away from the Capital city, visits home and the like. But they're very closely monitored for their own safety and those of others when their powers are coming into their own. Wouldn't want a 7 year old getting mad at daddy for selling her pony and then causing a town to get nuked after all. (which isn't likely to happen very often anyways due to their teachings. But hey, there are always those folks out there that make preachers cuss XD)

A quick question to Frox, about the elements:
In the magic section, I see Frost (which I will connect with water), Fire, Earth, Air/Wind and Lightning. Seeing how I am making a pantheon of elemental gods, it would be pretty cool to connect them to the elements of magic (I guess).
Still, I've heard of there being a 6th element? Which one is that? Is it the 'Healing Element' or something like that?

Light and Dark can be considered elements, yes, if that's what you're getting at.
Otherwise, your question is unclear to me.

So...the elements of magic are Fire, Air, Water(Ice), Earth, Lightning, Light and Darkness? Cool, that works for me.

I had a good old chin wag with the amazing Court earlier, and alas, she was unable to help me. So, on her suggestion, I am going to post the conversation here and see if anyone else can help clear this up.

Can you clarify what the questions are, please, so I can get you what you're looking for?

Let's see if I can properly articulate this.
Court has told me previously that the same rules as before apply. Associates must be the same faction as the primary character, and the characters on different accounts belong to different factions.
After learning that, the current plan is to have the Watsons be Naturals, Sikes & Ruby to be Imperials.
Now, as I understand it, everyone defaults to Imperial, however if they are taken in by the Order of the Sun then they are Gifted, but if they have powers which are not picked up by the Order (usually because the powers manifest themselves later in life) then they are Natural.
According to the Imperial faction thread: "All people living within King's Realm are required to join the Imperial Forces between the ages of fifteen and twenty. "
I'm assuming the King's Realm is basically the whole world. I am assuming the Order of the Sun has enough influence to avoid conscription, but this cannot apply to the Naturals.
Currently, Joshua is going to go to war, then return to Three-Forks. Sometime during or after the war his powers manifest. However Court has informed me that Naturals are not allowed to have service time.
That would mean that every single Natural could not have gone to war. Every single one of them would have had to dodge conscription, which doesn't make sense to me because I don't see how every single one of them could (bearing in mind some of them would not have had their powers manifest yet) and I don't think they all would have wanted to.
So, basically I'm confused.
The question is, I suppose why can't Naturals have served in the army?

The question is, I suppose why can't Naturals have served in the army?
It's possible that they could have served in the army, and just never progressed far enough to gain access to an Eiphyre weapon. The restriction is there to prevent any immediate overpowering with a single character.
It's also possible to fake an illness or injury to dodge either conscription or being taken by the Order, or to be well away from the village when the soldiers come through. Just because it says it's a requirement, doesn't mean it's not the absolute law for each and every character.
The Realm is currently not looking to bolster any ranks at present either, so the world can repopulate at its leisure.
I would suggest that your Watsons remain Imperials, your Sikes dodge conscription (since it seems to fit his personality anyway), and your Ruby is too young to have been considered.
