Rank or Title
Apprentice HealerPhysical 155cm, 44.0kg (5'1; 97#)Mhairyn is a near-perfect replica of her father, Mallach: while her skeletal structure matches his, it is far more feminine in nature, with gentle curves and soft angles. Her raven hair cascades down to the small of her back in soft waves, when free, with a few loose tendrils curling around her gentle, pale face. Generally, the long mane is kept in a braided bun, though on occasion, it has been done in the fancy up-dos of the noble court often roaming the halls of the castle. In contrast, she wears little to no paint upon her porcelain face, instead letting her natural beauty show through her full, pale-pink lips and large, gentle dark grey eyes.
Constitution Toned but not pronounced musculature, flexible, lissom;
Poise Elegant, regal, languid, fluid;
Aesthetics dark grey/black eyes, ebony hair, soft and full lips, clean;
Standard Attire grey woolen dress, soft leather boots, gentle braid or unassuming bun, thin leather gloves
Outside Attire Dark travelling leather pants, hard woolen tunic, dark, thick cloak, dark gloves
Battle Attire grey robes with chainlink overlay across torso, hardened leather bracers and pants,
Formal Attire Very soft, pale blue layered dress, as befitting her noble birth
She is much shorter than either of her parents, standing at a rather unimpressive height of just over five feet and weighing just under one hundred pounds, and while she may be petite, she does have a degree of musculature uncommon for women of her status. due to her love for horseback riding and all the responsibility that it entails, her body is slender and athletic, the faint musculature allowing her full usage of her natural flexibility. Her poise lays promise to a fluid, graceful gait, and her posture imposes a certain degree of confidence, which is no doubt aided by the considerable curvature of her breast.
Day to day, she is seen dressed plainly, in a simple-cut white or grey dress and a soft pair of caramel-colored leather boots. Several of her dresses do have embellishments or embroidery upon them, though this is more a sign of her heritage than due to aesthetics. She does not wear jewels or other items to display her breeding, though if her uncle or father are within the castle, she will dress up further. Her hair is often braided and kept up, and rarely will she be seen in public with it down free.
When out of doors, either riding or travelling with Mollandir, she is almost unrecognizable from clothing alone; her dresses are replaced with boy's breeches and hooded tunics, allowing her to pass for a young squire; it is not her choice, but rather a demand from both Mollandir, her bodyguard, and her father. If it is required, she has chainmail to wear over her tunic, and hardened leather bracers to further fuel the lie. Within the confines of the King's hunting grounds, however, she is allowed to wear what she wishes, and will often display her femininity with riding skirts over breeches.
While on display in the noble courts, she is as beautiful as her mother in pale blue dresses that are embellished with silver thread, have long, flowing sleeves, and many layered skirts. Her hair is up and twisted in an elegant knot, with tendrils cupping her face and breasts, often adorned in a net with matching sapphires.
PersonalityIntimate Proud, gentle, naive;Ordinarily a very pleasant young woman, Mhairyn is both polite and respectful even when the underlying intensity occasionally breaks through. She is very driven, very honorable, and proud, and is the perfect embodiment of what the Order strives to achieve. She is shy, however, and she has difficulty making friends due to a very stoic, or even apathetic, first impression.
Acquaintance Vain, naive, apathetic, headstrong;
Professional Kind, polite, respectful, supportive yet firm, very clean, empathic, driven, stoic;
Unknown Prickly, Headstrong, indifferent
Dreams, Goals Rise through the ranks
Likes, Loves healing, doing good, rain and all associated sounds
Dislikes, Hates stubbornness, dishonesty, disloyalty, bandits
Fears, Phobias getting dirty, being touched by another, own blood, insects
Unique Qualifier animal person, romantic at heart, overjoyed to be the light of caden's eye
Once that terribly thick barrier is broken through and Mhairyn opens up, she is often misunderstood: her need for cleanliness is often mistaken for vanity, very rarely will she change her mind on something, such as honorifics and titles, and her words, when spoken, could be considered harsh, even though she means well. For those that stick through the bad, they are rewarded with her loyalty and her emphatic nature, and she will be there for them, no matter the cost.
In a more professional capacity, the girl is very respectful, as she was raised, and very driven in her duty to help everyone in need; on occasion, her limits are tested, and she has proven to herself that she can overcome her fears of bodily contact if she pushes hard enough. Fortunately, her face rarely betrays her emotions inside, and she is able to sneak by while her confidence in her abilities builds. Incidentally, while she fears being unclean, she is relatively unfazed by the gore that is sometimes brought to her – insofar, the only thing that has had a visceral reaction was when she cut her own hand and saw her own blood.
Through the spectrum, there are things that remain constant. Her need for order and physical cleanliness are at the top of the list, while her naivety and supposed apathy are a close second. She generally wishes to help all those in pain and help ease their suffering, firmly believing that no one should have to endure such things alone. As an animal person, she enjoys all that life and nature has to offer; her favorite things include rainfalls, singing birds, and falling in love. Though she would never reveal such romantic things to anyone, as they are far too naïve and silly to verbalize.
She dislikes insects, though she appreciates their worth, and she can't tolerate the bad things that people do; to her, the Word of the Order is the most important thing, and all people should be treated kindly. As such, bandits and murderers are beyond low, as are liars and cheats. [[These feelings are reaffirmed a hundredfold, as they are echoed by Caden Reinhart, her immediate superior and love interest.]]

Mhairyn was born in the castle at Vertholt in secret, the child of Mallach Dirson and Katriina Wolfthorne, sister of the true King. Her early years are unremembered, save a strong feeling of apprehension. She vaguely recalls the birth of her younger brother and the deaths of her mother and sister, though it is only echoes of a memory, of a pain forgotten before it was ever really known. Her earliest, verified memories are of being taken by Mollandir, a young Seeker, to the Order of the Sun; as a shy child, Mhairyn retreated to herself for comfort, much to the dismay of several of her mates in the dormitories that they shared.
The years passed in the Order rather uneventfully, and while the girl worried for her father's safety, she had her brother and cousins nearby to alleviate some of the pain. When she reached her tenth birthday, her initial power coalesced and she was pledged to the Order of the White, and began her training as a healer [[under the tutelage of Caden Reinhart; eventually, she would begin to nurture feelings for the mage, though that's a tale for another time]].
Over the years, she befriended a strange castle cat, whom she named Alduin, a wolf pup gifted to her by her Uncle, which she then raised into an obedient little beast named Fenris, and her trusted steed, Haffingar, a gift from her father during one of his short trips back to the castle during the war. The horse allowed Aryn, as she was then calling herself, to reconnect with her father while he taught her how to ride.
One very awkward day, when she was gifted the orphaned pup, her father decided that, as she was starting to venture out beyond the walls of the castle and into the city proper, she needed a bodyguard that offered more direct protection than the few borrowed guards did. Her newest companion was the Seeker who had found and guided her to the Order when she was just a girl. For the next five years, the two humans were almost inseparable, and the unlikely friendship was formed.
Now, she is a full-fledged member of the White, ready to make her mark upon the world, to spread the Word, and to offer assistance where she can, at Caden's side as his apprentice.
