The rules are simple: Listen to the song posted previously, and then connect the first letter of a song title with the last letter of the one above. The goal here is maybe exposing people to music they otherwise wouldn't listen to or haven't heard before. You never know what you might like! Adding a blurb about it is cool too! Also, this is a no-judgment zone, of course. If you don't like a song, that's cool, but someone here does, and they felt like you should hear it, so be cool! I'll start with ... "On the Mirror of Disgrace" by Watered. Their album To Those Who Will Never Exist is available on their bandcamp for free! It's instrumental rock/metal with an urgent sound, as if something is wrong but you're not sure what. I dig it.

May I thank Fomal for starting this game, and for giving us such a great opening.
Ever year, Europe has a pan-continental song contest. The contest as a whole has a reputation for having cheesy and/or novelty acts (hit me up if you want any examples) but sometimes there are songs that, I at least, do enjoy.
Call me biased, because I am in love with this country, but last year's entry from Iceland, Ég á Líf byEyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson was, in my mind, rather good. A nice, humble song.

That was lovely, Jeff! It reminded me of Arstidir, another wonderful Icelandic folk group. I can certainly see why you would love the country's music. I mean, they've got Bjork and Sigur Ros and mum and these guys. Holy wow.
But! I have a song for you all now. This is "Five Year Payoff" by Native. These guys are pretty deep in an angsty guitar-driven sound, and normally they throw around guitar passages with such ease that it can be hard to keep track of the melody. That's math rock for you, but I love the way they sort of speak their lyrics before it takes on that distressed charm halfway in.
Here's some of the lyrics:
"In winter our arms form new links made strong. Blank chapters now filled with verse. These verses show readers the pictures of time. Words will age but never will fade."
That means the next letter is "f" still!
