Character Information
Name:Caden Reainhart
Gender: Male
Age:
Rank or Title: Beckon of the Light, Grand Master of the Order of White
Appearance:Physical: Caden is 5.7 feet tall and weighs approximately 185 pounds.
Constitution: Caden body, due to his upbringing in a family which values combat prowess and strength over most things, has a healthy built body with a mostly rectangular shape, neither portion of his body being particular wider or bigger than the other. His muscles are somewhat soft if not in focus, his frame being not quite built for combat. The build of a man who makes sure to stay in a fit and healthy state, but doesn’t go out of his way to become over buff.
Poise: Standing tall and sure of himself, watching the world with a confident, cheerful gaze. But he really tries not to be overbearing, unless he feel he needs to try and assort his authority over someone. Usually tries to cut the distance between the people his conversing with to a degree they are comfortable with.
Aesthetics Caden has light brown hair, which he tends to not cut too often, keeping them tied in a long braid. He has light green eyes which match with his fairly light complexion. His face is free of any major blemishes, an besides the few odd spots on his body, the most glaring alteration of his flesh would be a rather large scar on his stomach, going practically from one side to another in a rather nasty fashion.
Standard Attire: When not in his mage robes, Caden’s choice in clothing tends to gravitate to slightly lively colors, especially green’s and reds. Often times he wears a light tunic, and over it some sort of cape or cloak to keep himself warm. He doesn’t pay that much attention to his legwear, choosing comfortable pants to wear, usually in slightly darker colors then the upper garments. He doesn’t wear much accessories, the only notable would be a ring with a crimson gem, a gift of coming of age in his family, and a small necklace on his neck, with the image depicted on his family crest.
Battle Attire During most of his days he is seen wearing a silk, almost snow white robes of his order. As a more personal touch he has the chest area colored in a silver, matching a set of hand guards, specially fashioned by the smiths of the city of . Shiny and looking as though made of silver, yet properly reinforced to be appropriately defensive, decorated a pattern akin to scales. When not holding his wand it usually hangs by his side on a belt. When preparing for actual battle, this ensemble is followed with a piece of light armor covering his chest and shoulders, colored the same as his graves, the herb of his family engraved on his chest.
Formal Attire Caden see’s most formal occasion as an extension of his work, and also has the nagging feeling of representing his family. The colors and material of his attire stay the same, though the formal robe is larger, covering his entire body, being more elaborate in design with a bit of extra material at the front. Also, if the occasion is right he will replace his silver guards with a set made of gold, made for purely decorative intentions, and he will dress in a well knitted clock, the symbol of his family sewn meticulously on its back.
One could say that in his choice in attire Caden sometimes seems to want to catch up on the times of his youth when he weather in the care of his family or the order and his clothing’s was mostly simple and functional. And he never wanders into to extravagant directions, he tends to like bright colors and accessories as capes or coats, finding them esthetically pleasing. The fact he is the head of the Order also means he has to present himself well, though one might argue he ventures more into looking fashionable then commanding authority. That said, when in his travels he knows well the function is more important than being presentable, so he keeps it simpler in that case. Also, in spite of his strained relationship with his family, he still wants to represent it as best as he can, and he bears the symbols of it with pride.
Personality:
Intimate : Caring, loving, understanding, patient yet ready to voice his concerns if needed, trusting to a fault
Acquaintance : Cheerful, patient, always ready to help, somewhat reluctant to share his own worries, sure of himself and comfortable with his own thoughts
Professional : Calm, collected but in a charming way, ready to give advice and help if needed, disciplined and willing to lead, demanding when needed, fair in his judgment and not afraid to make a necessary call
Unknown Open, polite, quite happy to meet them, proud of his accomplishments but not in a flaunting way, patient and careful to avoid conflicts
Dreams, Goals Living his life to the fullest, and allowing others to do so, defending the kingdom and its people from the evils of the world, proving he can uphold his families legacy even without its direct approval, starting a family in which neither he or his loved ones would be miserable due to unhealthy ambition.
Likes, Loves A good meal (probably the thing he is most ready to disregard healthy standards), his ability to help others, talented musicians (something he tries to become in his free time, with various results) and other artists in general, improving you skills and knowledge, large bodies of water and fishing, social gatherings of the pleasant sort, the few members of his family who support him.
Dislikes, Hates Overtly prideful people, those who enjoy conflict and causing pain to other people, most members of his family, overtly formal people and reports, tomatoes
Fears, PhobiasNot being able to help those under his care, seeing his close ones hurt, looking down from high places (he has no trouble being there, but he keeps thinking he might trip and fall)
Unique Qualifier: Unusually fidgety, seems too often twitch or move in slight manners especially when worried, appreciates serene moment of piece when they come by, eyes seem to brighten at the sight of Arya.
In his core, Caden is a gentle, kind and cheerful man, dedicated to trying and enjoying his life, and making the life of other’s better. To those closest to him, you might say Caden wears his spirit on the sleeve, acts his most cheerful, always smiling and grateful to see them, ready to listen to them and if needed give the council. When somewhat reluctant to burden them with his own problems, he isn’t excitingly prideful, so he will share his troubles and seek advice if urged to do, or if he simply understands he needs the advice. Always tries to his best to keep calm and collected when listening to them, and perhaps slightly blinded by his affection, might try to much to rationalize or cover their mistakes (or what he sees as such). But once someone dear to him betrays his trust or does something he cannot accept, he shows his sadness in just as a passionate manner as he show’s his happiness.
For Caden, the line between friends is not that thin. He keeps his cheerful attitude, always ready to offer a helping hand, a good word, or just some company. Still, when dealing with problems of his own, he is a bit more reserved, not wanting to burden his farther acquaintances. He stays polite still, but is somewhat more inclined to share why he thinks their course of action is bad if their decision strike him as wrong. And he is not afraid to defend himself from any accusations or otherwise unpleasant comments.
Some say he is quite lax for a leader for a major faction, but he simply believes that everyone prefers working with someone they like rather than someone they detest, especially as their goal is to spread life rather than death. He is pleasant for most of the time, polite to those under his command, ready to give advice and guide them. Yet at the same time, he strives to be a good and efficient leader, and at times one can see the rough edge of the Reinhart in his actions. He makes it clear when there is the time to be serious, and then he expects everyone to follow his direction, and to do their best. He is stern, but fair. He will never blame any failure on those under his command, but if it their fault, he can get quite agitated. This can be seen quite often when he deals with his family, most of them rising a brow at his choices, a few openly resenting them. He managed to learn his worth and has little patience for their bad manners, though he keeps himself in check to not stop too low to their level. He appreciates the few people who appreciate what he made of himself and makes sure everyone treats them with the respect he feels they deserve.
Always seeing a new person as a new friend, he acts as pleasant as he would at other times, and to the extent that would not annoy the other person. Smiling, polite, but still proud of his achievements and abilities. He also tries to show more patience, since he takes into account that neither he or the other person know each other to well, so hopefully any misunderstandings are a simple mistake in communication.
When not on duty he tries to make the best of his free time, be it by practicing his skills, trying to become a good musician, or just enjoying a moment of calmness with his friends. In spite of any hardships he happens to face he always does his best to face the world with a smile, hoping that through his work the next day can be brighter.

Caden was born as the second child of the infamous Reinhart family, which meant he lead a rather sheltered life, never quite seeing the hardships of the daily life of people outside the family mansion. Though it would be difficult to say his life was comfortable. From the day they were born, Caden was prepared to be another proud warrior of the family. Who knew how long the war of succession would last, and how much glory his family could earn. His father was a cold and harsh father, disciplining his sons for the smallest act of disobedience, almost in a militaristic fashion. Also, both began training in combat in the rather young age of 4, as it was custom to start training the families young warriors as soon as possible.
But while his brother seemed to adapt quite well to the families martial way, Caden was lagging behind. He never was quite fast or strong enough for his instructors or his father’s, no weapon seemed to fit his hands. And he always flinched before a strike, be it directed towards him or preformed by him. He tried his hardest to please his family, as any young boy could…but he hated the weight of the steel, the pain he felt when he was struck, and the guilt when he managed to strike himself and saw the trainer in pain. And so his father grew even colder to his son, and his mother, while a more calm and gentle person, never dared to oppose her husbands will, and while not harsh with him, traded her younger Son with reserve.
His brother enjoyed mocking him for his shortcomings, and while he tried his best to make friends with some of the other children who came to the castle, he was either met by disdain for not living up to his family’s name, or treated with fear because of the name. His only true solace were the lessons with his teacher, writing reading, and learning about the world outside of the castle. And so Caden grew in peace, his belly full (unless he was punished for dropping his weapon mid training) and his back warm, but distressed in his own way.
So it was until the age of 7, when his father decide to take him on his first hunt. Hoping that a more visceral experience would somehow awaken the boy, push him out of the embarrassing stupor the boy was in. Caden was quite throughout the hunt, feeling even more uncomfortable then in his training armor in the castle. All these men, shouting, cursing, smelling awful and treating each other just as his brother treated him. And once the game appeared, he for the first time saw the dead bodies of animals, which churned his stomach. He could only sit and stare, until the end of the day. His brother, as well as several other men, had taken down an impressive trophy. A bear, almost twice the size of a grown man. It was still alive as the other hunters approached it closer to see, blood seeping out of its wounds as it laid there. As Caden was taken by his father to see the hunted creature, he could see everything, the blood dripping out of its body, the life slowly seeping away… and seemingly driven by instinct, he put both of his hands on the bears fur. His own memories of the event are quite hazy at best. He learned as he awoke later in the castle that after his touch, the bear managed to set himself free out of his binds, and managed to wound several other hunters before it was put down again. His brother was one of the wounded, but he was fortunately healed, though gained scars which would remain with him for the rest of his life. And as much as those scars covered his brother body, they lingered in the mind of Caden. Deep down, Caden loved his family, and regretted not being able to please them…and causing his brother such damage is something that lingered in his mind for years to come.
The young boy was fearing the punishment which would come after causing such an incident, but it never came. Next time he saw his parents, they were accompanied by a man in grey robes. They were similar to those of the people who he saw healing others including himself and his brother after a few training bouts going rough. This men was a Seeker. As soon as word of the incident left the castle, the order was sent to bring back young Caden for training. It was an unusual predicament, as the Reinhart family was not known for having gifted people in their bloodline. Caleb was not pleased with this, but he knew well how the law worked. And so, his second son was put on his first Horse ride out of Brittenhollow towards the capital. In a way, his father did awaken Caden’s talent…just in a way no one foresaw
Cadens first few weeks were a bit challenging. The boy rarely ever interacted with strangers, now he was a stranger in a large city. And many of is peer’s treated him with a degree of disdain, both because of the name of Reinhart, and because of the rumors spreading about the hunt which brought him here. Years of being disciplined and mocked also did not help. Still, he felt more at home here than he ever did inside of Brittenhollow’s castle. He was allowed to hold a book instead of a club when he had the free time, and he quickly grew fascinated by the Order, which was seldom talked about at home.
As his education began, he found the teachers strict, but much more pleasant then the trainers at home. And the teachers soon came to realize there was great potential in Caden. While unrefined, he had astounding amounts of power within his young body. After initial training, he was chosen to be part of the Order of the White, and Caden reveled in the prospect of becoming a healer. To his surprise, the Grand Master of the Order took notice of his potential and took him as his apprentice. As he studied and his abilities grew, so did his confidence. And with that came the confidence to act in a way that seemed natural, approaching people with kindness and good spirit. Slowly but surely, instead of his family’s reputation, people began judging him for who he was, and after the required training, is accepted as a full-fledged member of the Order. During the ceremony of passage he had seen his family for the first time in years, as was the custom. Words of congratulations were given, but It was still a bitter sweet meeting. His father did not see any glory in him being a white coated healer and treated him with as much distance as ever, and his mother kept her feelings to herself, more concerned of what her husband would think. His brother barely spoke to him, the most he said was declining his offer to attempt and heal his scars, stating that only a coward would agree to such a thing. In the end they left as soon as they could, And Caden was left with a mixed feeling of disappointment and relief. It saddened him his family still treated him like an outcast, but now he knew what path life laid ahead of him. And as long as he could help people walking along it, it didn’t matter much whether they felt pride for him or not.
As a member of the Order of the White, Caden wasted no time assuming the duties expected of him. He was one of the first to volunteer to teach other adapts the arts of the White Magic, and let himself be known as a demanding but fair teacher, encouraging his students to do the best they can. It is here where he first met the daughter of Mallach Dirson, Mhairyn. Seeing her at times uneasy demeanor he tried his best to make her feel welcome in the order, and found himself enjoying the time spent with her, be it teaching or simply conversing. A bond started to form which would grow for years to come…though it was once hanging on a thread.
Amongst his teaching duties Caden was active in traveling to villages to offer his healing expertise. He was also often one of the first to volunteer to assist camps in the ongoing conflicts between the Snowclaw and Wolfthorne houses. One of the few who had never showed any qualms towards healing any side of the conflict. All he wished for is to do his part as part of the order and ensure that the fight would consume as little lives as possible. It caught him the ire of some, but also respect. He had gotten into a few scuffles, but in the years he learned to use his power to defend himself well enough even with not being too able to operate a weapon. But his true test came not in a fight…though it was in a battlefield.
It was not long before Bulgate sided with the rebellion. Caden himself was currently in a small village of Bryanson, along a small contingent of Snowclaw soldiers. Nothing to special, simply offering aid to a the villagers… but Wolfthorne did not take well to the news of Bulgate siding with them. And so a force of their soldiers attacked the small village. The Snowclas and village were outnumbered 3:1, but the village was placed a top of a hill and fortified by the Snowclaw contingent, which allowed it to defend itself in what was named, rather simply “The Siege of Bryanson”. A skirmish unlike many others during the conflict, arrows raining down on the village, soldiers trying to scale or breach the fortifications in a few series of fights. But while other villages of Bulgate were less fortunate, Bryanson managed to hold of the attack until reinforcements came, part of which was a mercenary group from Brittenhollow. Caden’s brother helped repel the attackers, surprised the village was still standing. What was even more astounding was that in spite of the overwhelming odds the losses in soldiers and villagers were minimal. Many were wounded, some quite severely, but besides one of the healers and a few soldiers none were in critical state. None except Caden. As the new spread amongst the land, while the other Healers grew tired or wounded, Caden was on his feet, healing the wounded, offering soothing words to the weary. Day and night he would move from person to person, offering to heal anyone who needed it, his own power radiating from him, offering soothing warmth and light to those around him. In spite of seeing one of his order brothers die, he never flattered, never allowed anyone to speak of giving up. Only when he heard the news of the village being safe did he collapse from exhaustion. Many reminiscent that day, the mocking tone of Cadens brother as he spoke to him, a thunderous slap across the face he received from one of the defenders of the village, and how they bisque carried him to Bulgate hoping to restore him to life.
Fortunately, Caden found the strength to return to the world of the living. He woke up to relived faces and words of thanks and astonishment. He simply felt he did what was needed. In spite of his protests, he accepted a gift from the house of Nuëmenoïr for the aid he gave to their village, and thus gained his horse Argo, which serves him faithfully till this day.
As the war ended, Cadens life stabilized as that of the people around him. He kept teaching future members of the order, as well as travel amongst the towns and villages to give his aid. Now greeted in most places with open arms. During one of his trips to Bullrun, while enjoying the peace of nature and attempting to catch some fish, he had seen a much more unusual catch. A younger member of the Nuëmenoïr house, going by the name Caius as he learned, washed ashore of the river. Pulling him out and healing his wounds, he offered the younger man assistance in reaching his home. During the track , the young hunter kept acting weary, as if they were observed. As it turned out, they were hunted by one of the forests predators. Caden tried his best to assist the young Hunter, but his prowess in combat were still left much to be desired. He could only watch as the Sabercat took the young man’s eye. Still, they both survived. Caden healed the young men as best he could, though even he couldn’t restore the young men’s eye. While he felt a sense of morbidity as the sabercat was skinned, he did not say anything, feeling it was something the young man needed. And besides, in nature there was little to waste. After that they reached his family, too much rejoicing. And while they had not seen each other often, there has formed a mutual respect between the healer and the young archer.
In the following years, Caden took an apprentice of his own in the person of Aryn, in whom he saw great potential… and to whom his heart warmed more and more to with each passing day, though it was something he wouldn’t need to do more with soon. There was an event which sadden his heart. The Grand Master, his former teacher, had passed after years of serving the White. To his shock, soon it was revealed who was chosen as the successor: himself. At first he was dumfounded, with the Grand master having other parenthesis, many older and more experienced then him. Yet many agreed his raw power, dedication and drive were the embodiment of what the White Way was. He had even become known to the people as The Light’s Beacon. So begrudgingly, in a state of wonder, he accepted the honor. And thus as one of the youngest masters of the Order in recorded history, he continued to serve the people, doing his best to lead the White in a way which would benefit the land best.
