[The Deal]This little thread is a way to share things we do and why we do them. Things we do for pleasure, for pain, or to escape from the anxieties of day to day life. You simply list one thing you do, and then why you do it. It's that simple!
I'll start:
Why I listen to this song after a particularly trying day at work:
I listen to this song whenever we have a particularly troubling day at work. I don't mean busy or overwhelmingly crazy, but when we have to perform a euthanasia. For those who don't know or don't recall, I work at a veterinary clinic, and we have the honor of sending your beloved companions to chase butterflies and squirrels in the great park when it's time. Most days, it's tolerable, but on days like today, with three unexpected instances, there needs to be some way to escape.
This song helps. It helps convey the emotions that I can't name or express to those grieving before me. I sing this to myself once the spirit has left and I am left to finish the process. Hahren na melana sahlin Emma ir abelas Souver'inan isala hamin Vhenan him dor'felas In uthenera na revas
Vir sulahn'nehn Vir dirthera Vir samahl la numin Vir lath sa'vunin
Elder, your time is come, Now I am filled with sorrow, Weary eyes need resting, Heart has become grey and slow, In waking sleep of freedom
We sing, rejoice, We tell the tales, We laugh and cry, We love one more day.
Sometimes, the apology isn't enough. These three needed the extra farewell that BioWare has so unknowingly made a staple of my life.
Emma ir abelas. Vir lath sa'vunin.
Thank you for listening. You have our utmost appreciation and gratitude.
