[About]
These threads are dedicated to giving general descriptions of established and repeatedly used areas in RP to prevent confusion and disputes in threads. Information of importance includes the size of the structure (note whether it is one story/two and the like as well), main entrances that are used and would be accessible/visible to an onlooker, the general layout, perhaps materials used, that kind of thing. If your location is not listed here and you wish for it to be, please PM me. I will actively collect information from those I know to have such areas in use.[Area List]
Watson Residence:Built sometime in the seventh century, new world, Yoshiya Watson's house is a standard two-floor, two-room terraced stone house. The house comes equipped with a fireplace and chimney and access to its roof via a ladder on the upper level. A low wall surrounds the borders, both marking the boundaries between houses and preventing accidentally stepping over the edge.
Whilst he has lived there since the eleventh century, Yoshiya's house, as well as the rest of the terrace, is the property of the Sikes family.
Until Kurohime Kurai moved in with Yoshiya in early 2001nw, the house was rather dull and dreary, as Yoshiya did not care much for housekeeping. Dust and cobwebs collected around the interior, and little light got in, as Yoshiya had bricked up the windows in the thirteenth century. Though the windows remain bricked up, the place has been tidied up somewhat, though still remains dimly lit.
The most notable features on the lower floor are what one may call a 'kitchen', though there is little more than a sink (without running water) a stove, preparation area and various boxes of assorted food. There is also a table and chairs to dine at. The only other thing of note is an old hanging rug on the side of the staircase.
Upstairs are two single beds for Kurai and Yoshiya, as well as two pet beds for Yggdrasil and Cheema. The floor also contains a desk from which Yoshiya writes his diary and any papers he desires to scribe, as well as other belongings, including his clothes when not in use.
In the fifteenth century Yoshiya began discreetly digging a basement underneath his house. As well as being a retreat during the more serious bouts of his illness, he stores past journals and completed papers, as well as a few relics from his Shinigami days, including his uniform, hidden away in an inconspicuous trunk among a pile of dusty old trunks.
