Please read this thread first if you have not already. [ link] For the purpose of my part of the thread, you will not encounter the other characters. Az and Cain may be doing different approaches, but this will be mine. As far as posting rules go, there will be a lax 24 hour rule. If I know you're busy, I wont skip you immediately (after a point I will to prevent it from stalling), however, if it's been over 24 hours and say, I've seen you lollygagging in the box, or I know you've been on somewhere like SL or something, then I will skip you. Two skips will get you kicked out of my thread and the event (since you wont be able to complete the 'quest'). However, this is only if you have already posted in my thread. If you have yet to post and 24 hours have passed, I will post, but it wont count toward the skip count. There will be no post order since you will not be interacting with other characters in this thread, however, you can of course, only post once in between my posts. Different sections of my posts will be marked with [Everyone] before it if it applies to everyone, or similarly but with a specific name if it applies only to one person. [Everyone]
As you step out of the washroom and into the light, you can still hear the merry laughing that had drawn your attention away from your current identity crisis. After blinking sight back into your eyes, you are free to take in the scenery. Green. Green as far as the eye can see. Which isn't too far given the mist that hangs over the small clearing you are now standing in, the door you had come through vanishing into thin thick air. The mist seems to be coming from a forest of large trees that now surrounds you. The laughter also appears to originate from within the copse, though it echos about in the clearing. Above you, the sun shines brilliantly down upon the scene from its azure canvas with nary a cloud to block its rays that make the mist below shimmer with an almost mystical quality.
Aside from the laughter and the mist, the thicket around you is full of natural noises. Birds chirp, twigs snap, leaves rustle as bugs crawl through the fallen ones, and orbs of light glow from the darkness of the mist between trees. Oh. Perhaps that's not so natural. The closest one lies directly before you just inside the treeline, hovering a few feet off the ground. However, farther into the forest on either side and behind you, other orbs can be seen, moving as if swaying back and forth. The clearing itself, aside from being filled with shamrock shaped clovers that cover the ground like a thick carpet, hiding everything else below, seemingly has nothing special to offer. There doesn't seem to be any signs of other people having been there either, leaving you very much alone under the heat of the sun that penetrates the veil of mist making the clearing quite humid.

Slipping in and out of consciousness certainly wasn't the ordinary for the average woman... well, 'he' now, apparently. Sure, the festivities of Saint Patrick's Day had left the man with a nasty hangover, being that her father passed the 'Irish taint' down upon her. Still, she couldn't get over these strange events, and her new body! These broader shoulders, no hips, and what's with the overloaded muscles adorning her frame?! Still, this haircut was a total drag, as she loved her long, flowing hair! Good thing the hair color, and her wisteria eyes hadn't changed. While, in all honestly, it was relaxing to not have to worry about her breasts, she had to admit. Still, the thing down under was a problem she hopefully didn't have to worry too much about. With that robe clinging to her masculine frame, Curnain stepped outward and into the unfamiliar territory, stunned with a bright flash of light.
It took quite some time for those purple-eyes to adjust to the new scenery around 'him'; blinking as the green hue stretched onward as far as his eyes could see -- well, at least till the mist clouded everything up a little ways forward. Curnain had wondered if it was a good idea to venture into the mist ahead, and turned to retreat to where she had come from, only to jump in surprise as the door had magically disappeared! He danced a bit, legs rubbing up against one another, which equated to an anxious motion; and little did she know it... she was making herself more prone to pee! Oh, she just couldn't try out the new parts! She didn't want to! ;-;
And then someone was laughing at her... and-and!
Basically, it wasn't going well for Curnain... was this a dream of hers?! Or some horrible joke? Well... besides the shape-shifting ability, she hadn't thought of shifting back to her original form, because she was just so caught up in the drama and situational anxiety! She wanted to go home...
Everything seemed so natural, besides the gender swap and abduction that must have happened over night! Still, if the door had dispersed, it meant that Curnain had to resume traveling in this new body of hers. To press onward in this bizarre journey, then!
She walked forward into the shimmering mist, and the thickness of the forest, noting the humidity as the robe began to stick to his frame -- and, well, the clovers upon his body as well. However, if this is what Ireland was portrayed as, then perhaps this would be her once in a lifetime visit... assuming that she would never make it over to her father's and her homeland. Sure, Niall had traversed the land, but Curnain wasn't aware. So, maybe to appreciate this opportunity?
Though did it require to change her gender?
'He' pressed forward into the forest, debating whether or not she could change her name to Niall, now that she was a man and away from her father 'momentarily', and if she could perhaps shift into a bird or something to make the voyage less stressful, or easier for the pseudo-man.

[Curnain]
The clovers impress upon the ground as you tred over them. They're resilient however, and immediately spring back into the leafy canopy that they form above the earth below. As they pop back into place, they graze over your bare feet until you make it into the treeline. Having pressed forward rather than to the sides or behind you, you find yourself closer to the sole glowing ball of light in this direction. As you get closer, you once again hear the sound of merry laughing echoing around you. However, you also hear a much closer sound of mirth. It is high pitched, feminine perhaps, reminiscent of wind chimes or even a small flute. Before you can even be bothered with looking around, the softly glowing ball of light shoots toward you! It is from this orb that the tinkling laughter is coming from. It orbits around you, mostly near your head, but just out of arm's reach.

Apologies. At first, the pseudo-male's toes wiggled at the feeling of the clovers upon the ground, and as he ceased momentarily mid-step, so that his right foot was in the air, he noted the coil action of the greenery beneath his feet; face molding into utter bewilderment. This was obviously a strange place with epic proportions of magic, or something! Still, Curnain pressed onward to the treeline, entering the thickness of the mist and what not. As she crept closer, those wisteria-hued eyes squinted as the spec of light in her general direction forward grew larger and larger; hints of laughter echoing from the almost 'celestial' orb of 'being'. This scenery, and something of unrealistic nature would inevitably cause one to panic, in which the woman-turned-man did; which she groaned and shrieked in but a manly voice, arms flailing as if to ward off the 'fly' hovering around her. She didn't know if it meant her harm, or was rudely laughing at her, but it was an action of mere instinct!

Perhaps fortunately for both parties, you miss at striking the strange orb of light which had lingered just out of arm's reach, but now from all directions they seem to surrounded you. Each orb gives off a small warmth. Collectively, they cast the comforting heat over your body. It is a soothing sensation meant to calm nerves and lull you into a sense of security. Still, the chime like laughter fills your ears, broken every so often by the same merry and far away chuckling that had greeted you when you came through the door in the clearing. If you look back now, you will notice that even the clearing has vanished. Only trees, the glow-lights, and the shimmering mist surround you.

As the orbs of light seemed harmless as time progressed, Curnain ceased 'his' tiring swing of his limbs; eventually 'comforted' by the laughter, warmth and 'divine' techniques to induce the utmost relaxation. In fact, Curnain began to wonder if they, too, could hear what was going on with her -- if she decided to speak to them -- as the male could obviously sense the laughter. His head turned back in the direction of where he came, having heard laughter further into the distance, only to discover that the area was, well, cleared. Blinking a bit, she returned her attention to the orbs, feeling rather foolish speaking to spheres of light. "Uh... C-Can you tell me what this place is?" She inquired, facial expression dumbfounded.
Occasionally, he-she glanced back to check and see if the 'dispersing' area was closing in on her; like a bad case of claustrophobia. Whatever this place was, it was of the supernatural, she deduced. Quite a place she needed to get herself out of, furthermore!

The forest around you doesn't appear to be closing in as you look around, but the orbs are. They get close to you, their warmth continually washing over you though no response comes to your question at first but the high pitched laughter. However, now that the orbs are closer to you, you can make out the shape of a tiny person in each. These little people wave merrily to you from their balls of light then float ahead of you a few feet where they wait for you to follow. Again, the forest echos with the far away laughter of what you are unknowingly searching for. The fairy lights wave to you again, beckoning you closer.

The man couldn't help but jump at the suddenly high pitched laughter in retort to his question. While the warmth from each encroaching orb was soothing, indeed, Curnain still felt uncomfortable, given that she was in a place of unknown territory. Still, those wisteria-hued eyes constricted as they gained quite the discovery upon closer inspection: there were little people in each orb! Taken back a bit, she stepped slightly to the side, as if to ponder things, until sheepishly returning to the light ahead, whom parted from her masculine frame and floated in her line of gaze forward. It didn't take long for her to realize that the orbs of light awaited her to follow, and hesitantly the woman-turned-man approached, using the guiding light as, hopefully, a means to escape this place -- or even seek out answers.

You see the orbs dash ahead into the thicker parts of the forest before you. Where there was once clovers beneath your feet there are now fallen leaves, twigs, and simple grass. The laughter coming from the orbs echos among the trees all around you. They do not move so fast that you cannot keep up with them, but their speed seems urgent as if they need you to follow. Or perhaps you need them to guide you. Darkness seems to be filling the forest around you, merging with the already present mist. Eventually the orbs will be the only thing you can see.

While Curnain was recently hesitant and reluctant to follow, making her steps rather sluggish and slow, the urgency and swiftness of pace the orbs seemed to have moved into had given the female-male the impression that she had to follow; and quickly, unless she wanted something bad to happen to her.
Which... given she was already a man, abducted and lost in a ridiculously strange place, isn't that bad already?
Letting a soft gasp escape his lips, as if scared by the quick motion of the orbs, Curnain impulsively sped up, fast-walking now; and with each inhale and exhale -- from nostril first, followed by the exit of carbon dioxide through the maw -- Curnain's pace shifted from a walk to a light jog. Like the transition, daytime was apparently beginning to end; slowly morphing into night as her male-big-feet stepped against twigs, leaves and blades of grass, different from the original clovers and moist 'coat' of the floor. Still, with the unsettling shade now looming around the area, Curnain frantically ran to get very close to the light, trying not to walk into any obstacle in her path along the way. 'His' arms extended outward, hands furthest from 'his' frame as 'he' made it seem as if she were trying to reach the light physically; even though Curnain was more or less trying to prevent total collision!

Your fingers brush against one of the orbs just as you enter another clearing. The light from the orbs highlights dark figures all around you. They are squat figures that jump to and fro about you as light from the orb envelops your figure. Your ears are filled with the sound of laughter both from the tiny faeries who guided you and the deep merry laughter of the green clad bearded men dancing in a ring around you. Soon enough the light is so bright that you can no longer see anything. Eventually the light and laughter fade and you find yourself somewhere new... a bar.

When the Mod Soul arrived, she peered about the clearing, confused for a moment that she had changed locations once again. Was the testing not over? Unlike the last area she had been in, there were no obvious enemies, or any sign of a challenge here, just an empty field surrounded by trees and mist. A brief inspection of her surroundings revealed little, and the mist was preventing her from seeing very far. Without any idea of what she was supposed to be doing, she simply began walking, until she caught sight of the glowing orbs.
Given that they were slightly more interesting than the bugs crawling around on fallen logs, it seemed that her best option was to pursue them. So, off she went, marching through the trees towards the nearest ball of light to determine what exactly it was, and hopefully find out what she was supposed to be doing.

Having left the leprechaun hell, Jira exited into the light, appearing in unfamiliar territory. Laughter immediately invades her ears, the first sensation to experience. Next her ocular senses took in the vast amount of green.
More green...super.
With trepidation and a sigh, Jira peered about and began to move forward. The door was gone, leaving her utterly alone in this strange, green land. The sounds of the forest were eerie to the female, and she adjusted her thin bathrobe while waking. It was humid, sticky moisture clung to her exposed skin, beads of sweat already threatening to build in the tropical like warmth. Taking note of the glowing globes, Jira moved toward one out of boredom. What was she supposed to be doing?
She didn't really know.

Excellent. Having scored, Kurisuna had ended this foolish game, albeit not without a significant amount of help and a horrendous, yet foreseeable blunder.
So why isn't this utter nightmare still not over with?
Looking her decidedly not-female self over, then tightening her robe at the waist, Kurisuna surveyed her surroundings and ascertained the scenery was, at the very least, pleasant; the forest of Kyoto had been her territory for years, after all, and these woods looked no different... notwithstanding this mystifying haze and the shimmering orbs hovering some distance before her. Laughter, too.
She scowled. Instinctively, Kurisuna sought out some sort of weapon. This large stick would do.

Blinking several times over to adjust her eyes to the light, Chikaru sighed heavily at her surroundings. Green...a grim reminder of the disgusting hell sh had just been through. She was for now and ever scarred, snakes haunting her every dream...oh the agony. Nonetheless, she crossed her arms over her chest as she paced about lightly, eying her surroundings. Though, the lack of her usual cocky grin made it obvious she was still not pleased to be stuck in a body that wasn't truly her own.
As she continued to saunter through the mist, the constant laughter around her became more and more obnoxious. She was quickly hating this little game more and more. Her feet came to a sudden stop as she laid eyes on the strange floating orb a few feet in front of her. Suspicious as she was, she kept her distance from the odd ball of light. Overly cautious? Maybe. But after her last strange altercation, she was content to simply keep her distance until she actually knew what was going on.

Ryosei encountered blackness then light as the scene changed, from a field of Leprechauns to...well, a field. More prettier this time, she found the scenery quite pleasant. Had she the aptitude, a song came to mind about how the hills are alive with the sound of music. At any rate. Ryosei took a step forward and tried to look around, but a must kept the visibility low. Seeing a few moving lights though, Ryosei quirked a brow as she stepped towards the closest one.

[Kurisuna]
The land seems to react to your will. The stick which you found shifts in its form, becoming malleable and folding in on itself. No longer is it the stick you observed, it is now reminiscent of a whip, a weapon you are more familiar with. Around you, the orbs seem to grow more excited. They vibrate to and fro wildly and the laughter builds around you.
[Chikaru]
The orbs seem to sense your feelings. The laughter escalates and just beneath the merry sound, you can make out the sound of raspberries being blown at you. One orb to your left is just close enough that if you look at it, you can see a tiny figure within the light sticking out its tongue at you and wiggling its fingers in the most obnoxious manner that it can manage. Still, the orbs move at the same pace you continue to, leading you deeper into the copse of trees.
[Everyone Else]
The orbs which you choose to pursue bob up and down in an excited manner. The do not move forward until you are closer then they zip quickly into the thick of the trees where they stop and bob up and down again, waiting for you to come closer. Other orbs move along with you, though far to your left and right sides. It is from them that you can hear high pitched laughter and the occasional chattering that sounds more like a chipmunk making noise than a foreign language, but underneath it all, a deeper laughter echos ahead of you from farther in the dark of the forest.

Rei blinked, and looked around or rather tried to and scratched her head. It seemed that her team had won, only now she was somewhere else. Sadly mist was blocking most of her view. Even with her cryokinesis, it would do little good and instead she needed to use her brain and glanced at the orbs. Just a quick glance to get an idea what they were which wasn't really much. Strangely, she couldn't make out anyone else around her but no doubt, she needed to possibly locate an exit. But how?
She took a moment to think and then glanced at the orbs before slowly making her way forward, trying to reach out with what sense she had with reiatsu. At the very least, she could possibly see if there was something spiritual about the orbs or maybe dimly see if the others were around her somehow.

For some inexplicable reason, 004 got the impression that she was being led somewhere. That was somewhat irritating. Could the test really be so straightforward? They rarely were. Otherwise, why not just paint some giant arrows all over the forest to point her in the correct direction? No, this had to be a trap of some sort. She would not play the little game. Deciding to test the boundaries of this test, she simply sat down on the forest floor, and waited to see what would happen.

By now, Jira was creeped out to the max. What was up with all the ethereal laughter? She really hated being disarmed, especially at a time like this. She was utterly alone and following a bouncing, glowing ball with creepy laughter echoing all around her.
I had better not die, she thought nastily to herself. With another sigh, she carefully pursued the bouncing orb. She would not rush, and she kept her gaze loose, letting it dart about while she listened intently to her surroundings. Damned if she was going to let something sneak attack her.
She hoped pursuing the orb would clue her into what she was supposed to be doing. If was, after all, the only clue she had so far to what her goal was. If this place was like the last, she assumed she had some manner of task or goal to complete.
Then maybe, hopefully, she would be returned to her female body.

As the stick went flaccid, Kurisuna eyed it unusually; she cracked it once, then twice, and grinned as it functioned exactly as any other whip would. ''Allow me to give you something to laugh over,'' she cackled dryly in that horrible tone of voice, whip brandished heavenward as she lunged forth and lashed out for the closest orb; odds were she'd miss, and more likely than not incite nothing good through all this unwarranted aggression, but... at least this was fun.

Ryosei watched as the orb danced, and smiled a bit as she enjoyed watching it. Taking a step forward, then other, she slowly watched as it seemed to glide along the trees and bring her deeper into the forest. Weary of the tree becoming thicker, she slowed her pace, but still continued to follow the bright light.

Chikaru - 1
I will be posting more along the 24 hour rule now that I'm feeling a bit better, so make sure you guys are posting on time. [Rei]
You sense nothing from the orbs that continue to float ahead of you as you take your first steps towards them, but you know that they are truly there by the laughter emanating from them. However, no matter how far you tried to extend your senses, you cannot detect the presence of another being. You are a lone giant in the midst of fairies and tales for underneath the high pitched chortling of the orbs before you, a deeper laughter resonates and a short dark shadow slips through your vision for the smallest of moments.
[AU-004]
As you sit, there is nothing unusual to notice. The floor of the forest which is now your resting spot is littered with the usual suspects; leaves, twigs, bugs, feathers, and the like. Yes, aside from the orbs moving in an agitated manner before you, all is right with the world you are in. Or so you would think unless you look behind you. The mist is becoming thicker and darker. The clearing you had come from has vanished and the density of the once shimmering mist is spreading from there, threatening to overtake your current position.
[Kurisuna]
As the whip lashes about the orb, warmth floods through the length of the weapon. The orb seems entirely unaffected though it wobbles to and fro through the bind, formed when the whip seemingly met an unmoving solid object. The warmth carries feelings of happiness, calmness, and above all else, compassion. The orb seeks to inundate you with these emotions to blot out those which fill you and still the laughter from before echos around you.
[Ryosei/Jira]
The mist which originally glittered and glimmered in the light of the clearing has started to grow dark about you, making the orbs seem like they're the only things in the forest; even the trees have become simple outlines, their details only visible when an orb passes by, throwing the lines of the bark into sharp relief as light filters across it. Though laughter fills the air, beneath the merry sounds you can hear sudden rustles of underbrush. Every now and then, the light of an orb flickers as a solid shadow tinted green melts through.

004 stared at the approaching mist for a long moment, watching the dark, impenetrable wall grow closer, ominously swallowing everything in it's path, consuming the trees and shrubs to never be seen again. Probably. Well, she thought to herself, perhaps it was time for a walk then. A walk towards the glowing orbs. Away from the mist. Perhaps a bit of a brisk walk. Not that she was planning to follow the orbs; She just happened to be wanting to walk in the same direction. Standing, she brushed away twigs and dirt before setting off at a quick pace, completely ignoring the orbs except to travel in their general direction, towards the source of the mysterious laughter. At least it wasn't ominous laughter. Given a choice between ominous mist, and ominous laughter, she might have braved the mist, but, mysterious laughter was a safer bet.

A heavy sigh escaped her lips as she paced about, obviously still lost. Just what was she supposed to be doing?! To be honest, that's a question that she had absolutely no answer to. Ignoring the the persistent laughter ringing through her ears, she looked about for signs of life, hoping someone else was stuck in her predicament as well. As her eyes panned downward, yet another orb would come into her vision. This one, however, a bit different. Focusing her eyes a bit more, she noticed the tiny figure within. His annoying mannerisms were pissing her off..already. Her eyes twitched slightly before turning her vision from the peculiar orb. Without a second thought, she quickly paced off deeper into the forest.
"That's it..I'm getting out of here."
She had quickly grown tired of this game. Why was she stuck in a forest with no knowledge of what to do or how to escape?! At that precise moment, she began plotting how she would dissect whoever stuck her in this hell.

To coil a lash around a spherical object was a difficult task, but Kurisuna had managed, though it certainly hadn't accomplished a whole lot; the orb was very much unyielding, didn't matter how hard she tugged. Then, a warmth the likes of which she'd never felt, and emotions of the sort she either scarcely experienced, or didn't know at all overwhelmed the length of her weapon, and she dropped it unhesitatingly with a snarl, startled. ''Was that good... no, that was bad.''
Squatting down slowly, Kurisuna gazed at the forest floor wide-eyed and laced her fingers through her short hair, all of a sudden pretty god damn miserable. ''Bad, bad, bad...''
