For all you all wanting healz after the event o: Mai did not know what all Harupia had done upon his arrival to the Division after the morning's fun little adventure. As she bustled about the division, having left her father with the capable hands of a member of his own division due to her own inability to carry him (she had made sure, at least, that he wasn't about to bleed all the way back and she assumed his coherency would return soon enough anyway), she went about her own set of rounds and priorities. First things first, get into a clean uniform and wash Malik's blood off her face -- things happened when you forgot, or ignored, what was going on directly upon your person, after all. That minor issue taken care of, Mai returned to chaos brought upon her division by the invasion, both looking for something to work on that would have her assist those who needed it, and to find Harupia for some guidance. sorry for the ickiness, but i gotta run and thought this should be up as quickly as could o:

Walking, Kiba decided, sucked. Or at least, walking with legs torn open sucked - it made one consider obtaining a cart to haul them from place to place, but then, that lead to complacency, and complacency lead to unreadiness, and Kiba was anything but unready, except for the unexpected. Despite claims, one couldn't so easily expect the unexpected, even the more predictable unexpecteds, such as treacherous females and their attempts at random petty acts of one-upsmanship.
All along the trek to the Second Division, Kiba considered warning Shigeo about the Third Taicho - after all, he was associated with Kiba, and that might be all the excuse the other Taicho needed - but he thought better of it quick enough. After all, Shigeo was a careful person, that much at least Kiba knew of him, and anyways, he had his own relation to the Taicho that would probably provide him insight on when to cut his presence short within the walls of the Third.
So with a nod, Kiba smiled to his former Fukutaicho and offered the giant man thanks once again, this time actually sincere in his actions. "I've got it from here, Shigemitsu-san. Thank you kindly."
It was almost regrettable there was so little to be said, but really, Kiba's legs were throbbing in pain, and having that taken care of was rapidly ascending the ranks in 'things Kiba is thinking of' the closer her got to actually attending the matter. So with a grunt, Kiba set off again through the threshold of the Second Division, and found his way rapidly into the reception area, a place to which Kiba was hardly a stranger.
It hardly seemed strange, he supposed, a man shambling in with both legs torn fairly evenly along the shins - he'd at least managed to tear the dangling shreds of the leggings of his hakama away, to prevent them sticking within the wounds - and so he provided the first body he saw a smile and wave to catch their attention. "Not to be rude, but if I could get something to lay on, I'd be appreciative."
As always, Kiba's voice was loud, primarily because he projected well; he wanted the request to be far reaching, ideally to hasten the acquisition of said anything to take the pressure off his legs. Oh how those treacherous poles did revile him for their use... but really, it would have been so odd to see Kiba trying to drag himself from the Rukon to the Second, wouldn't it? No, definitely better to haul himself around on aching legs; they were only flesh wounds, after all!

Its been a while since Haru saw such a large injury Bonanza in his Division...heck, the last time he remember was when the Division was still lead by his father. But here he was now, leading the group, Shinigami and Rukongai citizens of various stages of injury pouring in...what a joy it would be.
As he walked to the Division, he instructed the two other members he found on the way to carry Torako to a bed, instructing them what kind of aid she needed. She was being currently carried on a stretcher by the two medics, with Harupia making sure she would lay on her back to hard. The cuts were really deep, but luckily his Chiduyo was enough to stabilize her. Now he would need the wounds disinfected and patched up with some more of the healing Reiatsu, and after that and a few day's rest she should be fine.
After he got to the Division grounds, he also moved to get himself cleaned and get a fresh set of cloth's, including the spare Haori he had in his office. It was meant to be used when the first one was unavailable, and while blood stains didn't mean it was bad (heck, some would see it as a achievement of sorts) he needed to be clean now as he healed people.
Speaking of which, when he was moving down back to the main hall, two things caught his attention. The sight of a refreshed Mai, who surprisingly wasn't shown much of a sign of exhaustion, but rather seemed to be ready and willing to work, and the booming sound of Kiba Taicho, requesting a place to lay on. Well, at least he was sounding jovial in all of this...shaking his head with a small smile he would call out to Mai saying "Mai-chan! Come with me, we have another Taicho to assist" giving her a soft, reassuring smile as he waited for her and headed towards Kiba.
After a short walk towards him, and a quick first look inspection of his wounds, in his mind slightly cringing at the sight of his legs he called out loud "Someone get me a stretcher fast!" before approaching the captain and saying "Ahh,Kiba-Taicho. Id say it's nice of you to drop by again...but I don't think you state at the moment is really proper for joking..." as he said that a member of the Divison had brought him a set of stretches, to which he nodded a quick thanks and then said "Well then, lay down here Kiba-Taicho, and well get you a better place to lay on soon...Mai, will you help me carry that patient?" he asked with a half apologetic smile. He felt a bit bad making her work so hard when he was around...but that was the work of a medic sometimes. Besides, this was all a sign of how much he had grown to trust her through the last few weeks. Assuming Kiba wouldn't make a fuss out of the thing, him and Mai would carry the captain to the closest available bed before starting to preform their healing.
In the meantime, Torako would be already placed in a bed, and her wound would be taken care of, two medics working over her back, disinfecting the wounds and applying Chidyou treatment to them. Depending on how tired she was, the sting of the disinfection might rouse her from her sleep...or maybe not. assuming she lost her consciousness during her trip to the hospital.

[bgcolor=E86100] White Room. Bright Light. Where was she? On her way to Seireitei in her heroic medic's arms, she fell asleep into a weird dream-like state. She stood in a room, white and bright, much like her Reiatsu, and looked ahead. Another person? Who was it? The person walked forward, shooting off a rather angry expression, the eyes flaring up with a golden color that was intensified by the blue hair.. Wait! Blue hair.. golden eyes..
It was herself.
Her other self marched up and stood before Torako, who tried to speak up but couldn't. The other self looked slightly taller, and much more.. confident? She spoke up, her voice filled with a mix of anger and courage.
"You!" Me? "Why are you acting like a big whimp?!" I'm not acti- "There is no reason to feel sad or guilty!" But I couldn't- "If you can't! Then learn how to!" How do I- "It's easy!" Easy? "Of course it's easy!" Then tell me! "You grow up and get stronger!"
Before Torako could reply, her other self raised her hand and slapped her, as if to snap Torako out of her troubled mind. But there was something more to it. Something stung on her back, the pain being simply unbearable. With a loud yelp...
.. She woke up, screaming out loudly.
Then it occurred to her. She was some sort of medical room, where two cannon-fodder medics were disinfecting and healing her injuries. She shot a small glare at one of them, snarling out critique at them. "Hey! Take it easy with that, will ya?!"
But whoa, that was a.. freaky dream. After lashing out at the clumsy medic, she tried her best to absorb the message, hoping that she'd one day become the one she dreamed about.

Shigeo showed no outward concern for his Taichou throughout the slow (for Kiba, anyway) journey to the 2nd Division's headquarters, though he did remain rather closer than he normally would to the exuberant man in light of the cuts and gashes along Kiba's legs. Fearing that his commanding officer might stumble or outright collapse from the wounds, the eighth seat found himself rather surprised when he was dismissed within sight of the medical building. "...As you wish, Shuchiku-Taichou. I wish you a swift recovery," Shigeo replied somewhat stiffly, turning after a brief moment and striding off.
It was strange; just a short time ago, Shigeo's feelings towards Shuchiku Kiba had been bordering hatred, due to the Taichou's callous and unwarranted demotion of his former fukutaichou. Yet now, when his superior was injured...Shigeo shook his head, bemused. Seems like even my ire must give way when duty calls. Whatever the case, the towering blond had his own business to take care of in the 3rd Division. Quickening his pace, Shigeo executed a shunpo, eager to meet with Sumie -- or, hopefully, Kurisuna -- and learn more of the events that passed this wet and gloomy morning.

[bgcolor=000000]While he was always fond of visiting his extended family (and just family in general) at their work place, this was just plain ridiculous. Limping upon his cane he wandered into the medical department of the Second Division, somewhere he had been not all that long ago, evident by the bandage upon his arm (which was mostly guarded by the bladed fins on his arm) and the seemingly painful limp Malik took with every other step. No, it was not his arm or his leg that was troubling him on this occasion, but a pain in his back, or more to the point a nasty gash upon his back.
Zane had been helping Malik back, but after insisting he was alright and could make it on his own, he ordered the lower seated officer to report to the Medical department himself to get tended to. However, as of yet he couldn't see Zane anywhere. Did I beat the young fellow here?" He twisted his nose a bit at the thought and wandered up to reception. Perhaps he got sidetracked, the young often do.. A girl perhaps?
"Excuse me." He began, leaning his free arm (ie the one without the cane in hand) upon the desk/counter. "It would seem I've gone and got myself injured again. I don't suppose anyone is free to fix me up?"

The girl at the desk, whom the Souitaichou addressed, was hard pressed today. But then she was trained at her job and this was merely to register those who came in, with what injuries, and see that the worst cases were cared for first. This was usually not such a fast paced venture; however as in this case, when the area was bustling with many who needed tending, being on the top of one's form was imperative. As she heard the voice, she already was reaching for a clip board and pen to record the pertinent information and begin the process of tending to this man's medical needs.
Looking up, she faltered only for a moment when she recognized who stood before her. "Certainly Soutaichou. " She called out to one of the attending medics to come forward and take Malik to room 8. The dark haired medic moved toward the injured man's side offering his arm saying to him, "Can you walk sir? Where are you hurt?" The woman at the desk began to add Malik's name to the list, noting which room he would be taken to, the time he arrived and that he had walked in of his own merit. She waited to hear his response to add this detail to the growing list of those being treated this day. Triage was a necessary skill during such a disastrous event as this horde attack had been, but so was seeing that key personnel were tended too expediently. It was fortunate for Malik that at the moment no one with a life threatening condition was being unattended or even the Taichou would have had to wait for his turn.
Meanwhile, Hotaru was proceeding with her task that Harupia had set her. Those wounded that required immediate medical attention had been patched up good enough for transport in the field before being moved on stretchers to the medical facility. Others who had minor injuries were being escorted there upon their own perambulations. And through it all she was directing the proceedings with an almost mechanical efficiency. She was still a bit dazed by the unreality of the incursion. Being practical minded, she accepted, pushed her questions aside and dealt with the tasks at hand. During an emergency she was quite efficient to her level of skill; later she would pay when she was no longer needed and most likely crash hard. She just wouldn't think about it now.
Through out it all her voice was calling out orders prioritizing who would need care first. Those working at her side gave every effort to seeing to the care of their charges moving from one patient to the next. Fortunately the wounded were minimal, if such a thing could ever be claimed. The early evacuation had really prevented this attack from becoming a futile exercise in saving lives; yet another thought she pushed from her mind for later contemplation. Most could transport themselves to the hospital after receiving basic first aid until they would be officially discharged from medical care. All the wounded no matter how minor were being detained...
She saw the sense in it, when the order was relayed to her, that the Third Division Taicho wished to question all the wounded and be given report of her involvement too. Still, she would give her report through channels. Harupia would hear all she had to say first and could submit her details along with all the others. Should a personal interview need to be conducted later, she was certain he would inform her of such. It was not that she was uncooperative by nature, quite the contrary; rather, it was due to her earlier failure in seeking out her Taicho before deploying that caused this resurgent compliance with the chain of command in her. If anything could be said about the Fukutaicho it was this; she rarely made the same mistake twice.
And so it was that it was not until after Mai and Harupia had reached the hospital that Hotaru arrived with the last of the wounded to be cleared from the third district. Her garb showed the signs of her field work this day in the mud. Upon entering the hospital, she strode through the bustling area to a changing area where she donned standard work clothes after a rushed yet thorough shower. While she had kept her hands clean, changing gloves between patients diligently, she was unfit for the sterile environs of her work station in such a state. The left over vials of the blue and green cures, she stored in a locked drug cabinet slipping the key into a pocket of her garments.
She returned to the hall of the examining rooms checking the board to see what sort injuries were being tended to and where her aid would be bet put to use. It was as she moved to the triage station that she saw the Soutaicho. She heard the in-charge woman directing the dark haired medic to take him to room 8. Moving to his side she said, "This way, please, Soutaichou." She moved to his side and would offer to assist him by extending her arm for him to take. As yet she did not know where his injuries were and did not wish to take hold of him and inadvertently cause him pain. The expression upon his face clearly showed he was bearing up under such as it was. "Please follow and take his history along the way, DaiShan. She averted her eyes from Malik to address the dark haired medic before returning her gaze upon the Taichou. She then asked needlessly, "I would say a bed would be most welcome as soon as possible, yes?"

Zane shook his head as he made his way into the medical department of the Second Division, coming in minutes after the SōTaichō, whom he was assisting after the whole in the District. What a pain in the ass. Naturally the man had taken to insisting that he could make his way to the medical department on his own and, honestly, Zane didn't doubt the man, but he was hurt. What a fool he can be sometimes. Oh well. I'm sure he made it here alright.. least I hope so., Zane thought to himself as he made way to the reception desk.
Zane stopped at the counter and cleared his throat to get the attention of someone there. He was slightly impatient and was in a hurry to know that the Sōtaichō was alright so he called out, "Excuse me! Has the Sōtaichō checked in here yet?!"

Huffing and puffing a bit, Chie jogged through Seireitei, fighting the urge to exude her irritation. No, that would not do, one was in public after all, so despite the display of running, she would attempt to be a lady.
Still, the urge to swear vehemently under her breath was so tempting.
Von, her silver fox, was in a playful mood today, or so it seemed. The creature had snuck into the library. While she was working, he felt the urge to reek unholy terror. The little minx had wedged himself behind, not ONE shelf, but several shelves. In an attempt to elude his captors, he consequently cleared each of those shelves by running their length and toppling their contents.
Chie, being bound by duty, wanted to stay and clear the mess, but other members of the division were extremely annoyed by the events, and bade her the duty to catch the fox. Being one of the lowest seated members, she was often given less than desirable duties.
She imagined she would be in trouble for this, punishment looming and all that. She hoped she would be able to play it off by lying, as no one knew she had a pet. She kept the creature at home, and lived a very private life outside of work.
So on she chased the aggravating creature, as he lead her ultimately to the second division. She caught sight of him ducking into a door of one of the buildings, weaving through the gaps of peoples legs. She pursued in turn, making her way into a very busy, very crowded room.
Her eyes frantically searched about the room as she paused to catch her breath. Her skin was warm, face slightly flushed from the activity, giving her cheeks a light pink glow. Her hood had fallen back, giving her hair a bit of a windswept look. Catching sight of a flash of silver, she stood on her tiptoes to see the tail of Von disappearing down a hallway. Having been here before, Chie knew that hallway was for patients being seen by a member of the division. Going up to the counter, she stood next to Zane, ignoring the niceties of waiting in line.
"I'm terribly sorry to interrupt, but I'm chasing a fox, and it just took off down your hallway." She paused and pointed to the hallway that, unknown to her, her father had just ventured down. "I've been given orders to capture it, as it just caused a bit of havoc in the 3rd division."
Meanwhile, Von was sniffing about, causing to particular trouble as of yet. Looking for an open door, he padded down the hallway, ready to explore. He came up behind Malik as he was escorted toward his destination, brushing against his ankles in a friendly manner. Something about the man smelled familiar to his mistress, after all, so naturally Von was curious.

In the sea of normality, the youngest Tanaka wasn't hard to miss; she was both tall and nearly-white haired. This was often used to her advantage, whether she knew it or not, as most commonly attention was drawn her way because of it, whether by her difference as an individual or her resemblance of Malik. As such, it was a hard lesson learned at a younger age to be proper, polite, and respectful at all times to prevent a certain father from walloping upon her backside.
It was by this fashion she used to search for her father, a man who stood much taller and stood out by his own genetics. Unfortunately, she had yet to see his arrival into the division following the battle, and while she'd done some work to staunch the bleeding from his back, she was still concerned for the chance of exsanguination due to his propensity to behave a fraction of his age. She stood off to the side in the lobby, offering assistance to those who had asked when needed, but she remained determine to stay as close to the main entry as possible; from the edges of her peripherals, she thought she saw a flash of white round a corner, but as she turned around to investigate, it had disappeared. Perhaps it was Harupia, engrossed in another depressing case?
As she pondered, she heard a rather loud voice and the subsequent minor vacuum loud voices had a tendency to facilitate; before she could find the source, however, a nearer, familiar voice beckoned to her. Harupia had sought her out and requested her assistance. An unfamiliar feeling swept through her very core, similar to pride and confidence, but much stronger and deeper than either; a faint blush cropped up around her cheek as she hustled to his side, falling into step with a practiced ease. As they approached Kiba, Mai remained silent, ruminating over the last few hours and marvelling at the emotion swelling inside her core. She stood in silence as Harupia addressed the man before them, keenly watching the wounded taichou for any other hints or worries which may need to be addressed; as such, she didn’t notice when her father, or his secondary saviour, had entered.
With a soft affirmative, Mai moved to the other side of the stretcher; she was loathe to carry a man even half the size of Kiba, especially after her failed attempt at hoisting her father to his own feet, but this wounded taichou had made the request for a bed, after all. Hopefully, there would be an available room near enough so that her arms would still be of use to her later -- she lacked the muscle capacity to endure much more than a few minute jaunt down the corridor due to her gender. She kept reassuring herself, however, that both of the taichou had requested this in some fashion, and surely neither of them would want to harm another.
Should make a table with wheels,[/color] she thought idly as they would maneuver down the corridor. Call it a ‘Gentled Journey’ or something....

As the Doctaicho approached, Kiba smiled and nodded to his greeting, providing a slight chuckle to Harupia's statement. "Just some bloody legs, Harudoctaicho. Nothing to fret so much abou-" Kiba paused as he finally settled eyes on the little female Harupia had brought with him, and considered the stretcher. Was that such a grand idea? Kiba had walked this far, after all...
Well, under normal circumstances, the Fourth Taicho likely would have waved the stretcher off and simply began walking, to receive direction from Harupia as he walked, but for once, Kiba wasn't feeling all too difficult, probably because his legs in fact felt like they'd been rubbed down with glass. With a visible grimace, Kiba lowered himself to the stretcher and laid out, crossing his arms over his chest to control his balance as he was hefted up and carried off.
"Don't suppose you have any fun stories to tell about the hullabaloo?" Kiba asked conversationally, albeit through grit teeth, as within the first available room he made the transition from stretcher to bed, putting his long-sliced legs on display - they'd gotten somewhat dirty on the walk over, but Kiba felt that little did as much good for a wound than dirt. Gave it character, and also it hurt to get it in there, and mother always said that was how you knew medicine was working. Logic!
Despite the fact, Kiba did what he could to keep the strips of flesh from falling forward and putting the insides of his legs on display; he really rather preferred his inside parts on the inside, and that included bones or well-toned muscles. Shuddering slightly at the pain, Kiba made yet another mental note to have a serious conversation with Sumie regarding her Taicho's actions... or to at least consider the finest hiding places for dead fish in her office. Suppose there was always the possibility he could just begin adding walls to the corners of her office...

For the time being, Harupia would not know of the visit of the Soutaicho (which were becoming more and more frequent lately it seemed) nor about the second visit of Chie in a short while as well, along with her friendly fox...of course no matter how friendly animals could be, having them in a hospital was usually not the best idea...but Haru wouldn't worry about that...indeed, he couldn't, as he did not know just yet
What did know about was the message from the Taicho of the 3rd Division, Kurisuna-san, which requested him not to release any of the wounded participants of the event until she could question them. He guessed it made it easier to have all the people related to the incident, though he wondered what was she hoping to gain from this questioning. But ahh well, it wasn't unreasonable. Most of the people wouldn't be heading out of the the Division anyway.
He managed to spread the word from the messenger to a few members of his Division, so hopefully soon most of the staff would know not to let none of the injured out for the time being. For now he said it was simply to make sure the infection didn't have any sort of symptoms post curing, or if it didn't spread out in the air or something...which he did also wonder about int he back of his mind. But he would have to work on sorting that out later.
For now he had a Taicho to care about, who luckily was being more cooperative then usual with his injuries. As him and Mai caught hold of the stretchers, and started to carry the wounded Captain tot he nearest room he would say "Well, I managed to dispose of one of the enemies...which I find somewhat amusing as being the Doctaicho" giving a slight chukle which sounded a bit like an exhausted grunt. He really need to build some muscle. Luckily for both him and Mai, an empty room was in relatively close vicinity, on the same floor as they were. Though it would exhaust them a bit, they would safely escort Kiba towards a nice bed...though it would be getting a bit messy from the blood see[ing out of his wounds.
As the Taicho positioned himself on the bed, Harupia would say "Bloody legs indeed...after all, the inside of our legs are filled with blood...the key is to keep them inside..." he would half joke, musing at the state of his legs. Turning his head towards Mai he would "Its best to not waste time here. We need to remove any clothing and clean out the wounds...though we'll be really lucky if we manage to avoid an infection here..." he would say approaching the table, upon which laid a standard array of instruments and chemical aids which he and Mai would need. Putting on a set of gloves he would say "This might end up stinging a bit...but I'm pretty sure It'll be hard to top whatever got at you legs Kiba-Taicho...Though I can offer something to bite on while we work on it..." after saying that, and handing a large roll of gaze if he would request the aid,he made sure Mai was ready, he would begin the task. Moving as swift as possible, he would remove any parts of clothing which might have gotten drenched in blood and stuck, after which he would apply anteshetic to the outer edges of the wound, wanting to clean it up before beginning to mend it. He really didn't want to deal with any infections.
In the meantime, the two medics were quite startled by the sudden awakening of the white haired girl, though disinfection did tend to sting. After a brief break in their work, they would come regain composure and one of them, none other then the disliked by some and mostly unknown by other Minato would say "Sorry about that...you get hit pretty hard, so it natural cleaning the wounds up hurt a bit...it should be better from now on, just lay still" as they would apply their Chiduyo knowledge to the girls back, slowly working on mending the wounds on her back.

[bgcolor=E86100] As the medics Can and Fod continued their work on the girls back, her eyes turned to the side, spotting something familiar and.. broken. Her outfit. Her beloved outfit which she had worn for 5 years, ever since it was given to her by her master. But strangely, she didn't feel any kind of sadness over it. The message from before had now buried itself in her soul.
"You grow up and get stronger!" Yes! It was time to grow up, and growing up means change! She turned her attention to one of the medics tending to her back, and asked with a rather polite voice; "Excuse me, would you people happen to have something I can wear..?-", her head nodding towards the broken suit; "- Because it appears my clothing has been damaged.. B-But don't throw it away!"

[bgcolor=000000]"Well it would seem that I have a couple of gashes upon my back. I can feel them, but as my head can't twist around like that I'm not sure just how bad they actually are." He offered a bit of a laugh as a medic came up to his one side, all the while as a whee fox decided to give him a sniff or two to the unawares man. "Walk? Well I managed to come here so I suppose so. I just don't w- what in the world? Interrupted by a sudden brushing against his lower leg, Malik looked down to see the whee critter and an instant smile brightened up his face.
With a grunt and a groan he knelt down, and if the pup didn't mind him doing so, began to pet the silver creature upon the head and gave him a scratch under his maw. "Well hello you, what are you doing in a place like this, hmm?" What an odd happenstance this would be, for an animal, seemingly someone's pet to be here. Not that he didn't mind, he loved pets, or animals as it were. But he never had one of his own T~T.
And then Hotaru came upon the scene =o.
He didn't bother standing, no no he was too interested in the pup. So was not about to get up, take an arm and follow XD. "Oh, hello again Fukutaicho-chan. Smiling up at her he nodded a greeting. "I hope I didn't scare you with my kido earlier, had I known you were aware of that beastie I would never have fired."

DaiShan noted the details of Malik's injuries as he listed them upon the report. He was quite surprised though to see the man stopping to play with a fox pup. For a man who worked in a medical facility he could be quite excitable, and this evinced itself now upon seeing an animal in the hospital running around loose. His voice carried through out the registration area as he scanned the faces of the patients filling up the facility. "Who's let this animal in here? A hospital is no place for a filthy beast to be parading about!" The faces of the wounded, many who were having to sit upon the floor or lean against walls due to the number of those present, all turned startled glances his way upon hearing such a loud voice breaking into their conversations or silent concerns. As if the screaming that had been coming from the treatment wing had not been enough to put them on edge already, now there was this new ruckus occurring. Hotaru reached to take the clip board from DaiShan's hands and chided him softly. Things were going to be getting a great deal crowded in the area, due to the request that no one leave after receiving treatment until they could be interviewed; the last thing she wished to see happen was to have tensions raised due to an outburst from the staff! "Oh Daishan. Do settle down. You are creating more of a fuss than this little fellow." She had never seen a fox with this silvery coloring before and he seemed to be quite enamored of the Soutaicho. "You may continue on with your duties. I think things are well in order here." DaiShan opened him mouth to protest, his stance being that sanitation was being severely compromised; after all, weren't foxes known to be carriers of the foaming mouth disease? However, his Fukutaicho's directive was not to be belayed. The man simply bowed and returned up the hallway to proceed with his prior task of restocking the supply closet. The influx of wounded was certainly seeing them go through a lot of pertinent items. The Fukutaicho tucked the clip board to her chest in her left arm, curling her fingers beneath its edge and turned her gaze down to Malik. In doing so she realized she had to make some sort of reply to his comment concerning the attack. Her features blanched recalling the event so very recent in her mind, though she tried to play it off. "I am of course grateful to you for the effort; it is not certain my sword arm would have been strong enough to stop that thing."Truth be told she was not at all certain about the precise sequence of events concerning her encounter with the biting creature. No, she had to remind herself, with the infected man. Seeing the rain pour down and the transformation that followed had been the most terrifying part of it all. They had not been monsters of another race but quite human; anyone of them could have shared that fate. The smile that crossed her features was full of fatigue and did little to convey a sense of her own ease. But as she pushed those thoughts from her mind, she used that artifice to bring herself back to the present. "Forgive me sir, but I feel stooping this way will only serve to stretch those lacerations upon your back. Perhaps if you pick the fox up and take him with you, we can get you to a room now?"The triage medic at the registration desk looked up to see Zane. Since he was asking after the Soutaicho, she assumed he was not here for treatment himself. "Yes he is sir. You will find him right over there at the entrance to the treatment wing." The woman pointed to where Hotaru was standing over Malik, who was stopped down on the floor. The rather large Shinigami's back would block the sight of the fox from Zane's view. added triage NPC and spoiler tag

Zane nodded lightly to the medic and thanked them before he made his way from the counter to the area where they pointed him to. He power-walked down the hallway and approached Malik and his attending medics.
"Soutaichou! You are alright after all! Good to know. Why must you insist on walking about alone when you are injured?"
Zane was obviously way more concerned than he needed to be at this particular moment. Though, for some reason, the health of Malik seemed to be a high priority for the tenth seat Shinigami at the current time.

Timing had played its part, and it had done so to obscure the fact that not only her father was down the hallway (where Von was currently visiting), but also caused her to miss catching sight of her sister. Had Chie arrived perhaps a few mere moments before, she would have heard of her father's presence, and likely would have seen her sister (as Mai was a noticeable figure).
As it were, Chie had no idea what the receptionist was referring to when answering Zane's question, and in fact found her attention engaged elsewhere. A voice carried into the reception area, plainly heard to complain loudly about the presence of an animal. Mentally sighing, Chie stepped away from the desk, and embarked toward the hallway where the voice came from. Having been ignored by the receptionist, Chie assumed she would be able to pursue the fox with no problems.
However, problems always had a way of presenting themselves.
As she went down the hall, actually falling in step behind Zane, she heard a familiar voice. Had Chie's face been in plain sight, and had people bothered to look at the female, they might have noticed a slight twitch spasm over her face. However, her face was shadowed just enough to hide this reaction, though it was probably unlikely that anyone was looking at the girl anyway. Her petite frame often allowed for her to sort of disappear, and with the current commotion underway...well Chie wasn't of particular importance at the time.
Zane was standing between Chie and her father, and as Malik was kneeling and currently engaged with Von, Chie was most likely hidden from view. As she thought of how she was going to handle this situation presently, she was also looking about for the fox. She had heard a complaint come from this area.
Chie overheard Zane speaking, since he did not attempt to hide his voice. So her father had been injured? She was surprised by this, as he was more than capable of defending himself. Then again, he had been injured recently, (something she was still supposed to be inquiring upon..whoops) so perhaps he had another accident.
Her options in this situation were minimal, she surmised. As she was searching for the fox, she would have to make her presence know to him, as the close proximity would not allow her to avoid him. With another mental sigh, she stepped around Zane and pushed down her hood.
She immediately bowed, letting her tresses skirt the floor as she bent deeply before her father.
"Soutaicho-sama," she formally, and politely addressed him, raising her eyes as she straightened back up. For the briefest of moments, her eyes narrowed with annoyance, something Malik would probably catch if he was paying attention. Her gaze was not on him, but on the fox, who was smugly nuzzling against Malik's hand.
Once Malik had begun to pay attention to Von, he responded with pleasure, purring quietly. The creature knew, somehow, his mistress and this man were related in some way. He also knew that his mistress had located him, as he was a clever little creature. Rather than fleeing, he was presently engaged in the most pleasing of scritchins'.

Surprisingly, Mai managed to maintain her grip on the stretcher as both she and Harupia carried the wounded Kiba to and then onto the table in the empty room; she had already had a long day, first with the overnight shift, then the crash after the adrenalin rush from the morning's battle. She wore the exhaustion well, however, and looked no worse for it, least of all when compared to the taicho on the table before her.
Slipping on a pair of gloves nearly in tandem with Harupia -- they were a fine unit indeed -- she took her cues from him; while he would joke and discuss, however, she would remain quiet and work in relative silence. She could appreciate Harupia's mannerisms, as occasionally a patient would need the distraction, but she was unsure herself of her own particular niche in the realm of humor in regard to the patient. All she needed to learn from, however, was in the same room as she was, providing her the mirror she needed. As the duo worked on Kiba's legs, Mai, half a step behind Harupia as she was mirroring his movements and taking away the sodden clothing, kept raising her gaze to her mentor; why though, she wasn't entirely sure.
Soon she slipped into the task at hand, leaving her gaze on Kiba's bloodied legs as she began the tedious chore of debridement. With a pair of fresh forceps, she gently began to extricate the larger, looser bits of debris she could without causing the Taichou any further bouts of pain; however, should she slip slightly and earn a reaction larger than a twitch, she was still on edge enough manage a quick jerk back and away if she absolutely had to. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that, and hopefully she could get the majority of it out of the away without having to wait for Harupia's anesthetic to kick in.
And with any luck, the anesthetic would kick in before the antiseptic was used to spare Kiba the stinging of the disinfectant and the probable flushing to ensure that nothing would be left in to fester.

Once the procedure was begun, Kiba found himself too preoccupied to do much speaking; his jaw was set, his fists clenched tight, and the offer of 'something to bite' was not taken. Kiba was not new to the medical processes, not ones involving open wounds and the cleaning thereof anyways, and so he knew it wouldn't be long after application that his legs would go numb.
He would exhale when the feeling left his legs, turning his head and closing his eyes - he never enjoyed watching things being taken out of himself, not because he was squeamish but because the images would linger in his head, and wasn't everything worse in dreams? The usually jolly Taicho was silent, staring at the insides of his eyelids, forcing his mind to wander, to move. He wanted to be in the Rukon, to have his hands on his tools. He wanted to carve something, or read something, or fish. Be anywhere but here, his heart cried.
And get some milk.

It seemed that the Taicho didn't want any further assistance of the cloth. He kind of excepted that, Kiba never would allow himself to seem weak in any way. Though he could only guess how much his legs hurt before he applied some anesthetic to the wounded fighter.
After that was done, he mirrored Mai's action on his other foot, taking a set of fore caps and pulling out any bits of clothing or debris he could find, doing it carefully but as quickly as he could. There were still other people to attend to. As he did so, he would rise his head towards Mai, remembering she did so before they started, and nodded towards her with a soft smile, ensuring her she was doing a good job. He wasn't sure if she really needed, but some positive reinforcement never hurt anyone.
As the task went on, with Haru seeing a few larger chunks embedded, he would say "Feeling alright Kiba-Taicho? Don't worry, we should be done with taking out all the bits we don't want in your legs. Besides the debris the wounds looks rather...well, clean, especially considering the things you had to fight probably didn't care much about hygiene, hehe" trying to ligthen the mood just a bit. In truth, he was surprised. Seeing how the beasts used their teeth and claws, and probably were all dirted up due to their infection, one of the legs seemed to be cleaner then the other...as if something else caused the wound.
Either way, after some more time passed he would be glad to announce "Well, I think Ive picked out everything on my part. So that\s the more annoying part out of the way" as he dropped the fore caps and approached the tool table, now simple reaching up for some cloth and liquid. Nothing better then a good leg wash after a long fought battle.
In the meantime, Minato, who was neither Can or Fod of this comedic duo, would not take his eyes of the girl's back which he was healing as he said "Of course, we have a complimentary gown for the people who are planing to stay longer" before giving her a smile, which looked a bit forced if you looked at it...Haru-Taicho wanted them to be more lighthearted, so that was his attempt at humor. After a small break he would say "We'll let you change once were done here...though getting an empty room to change might be a bit tricky, though we arranged for a para van to cover you while you do so" Not as humorous, but with the influx of people, there wasn't much more he could do. It would hep if they actually went out...some of the people brought in here had very minor wounds..he wasn't sure why everyone was being held up here.

[bgcolor=E86100] "When we're done here.."
Yeah right. When you're done? When would that be? Five years from now?
Torako seemed slightly annoyed at these healers, since it took way longer than she expected. I mean, you could watch snails move faster than her back healing.. or maybe glue drying! She let out a large groan with a rather annoyed attitude and looked up at one of them, her golden eyes glaring like a fierce animal as she spoke up.
"Are you done YET?!"
The words shouted, a mix of annoyance and impatience blended it with what could be interpreted as a roar of hunger. ...which it was. "I'm hungry, so hurry!!"

[bgcolor=000000]Pet, pet, stroke, pet! Oh what a wonderful little ball of joy this little thing was. He had to have it for himself! Yes, oh yes! He wondered if anyone would mind.. Bah! He was the Soutaicho, master of his own house! If he wanted a whee fox as a pet who was going to stop him?! Mai she was evil and mean! No.. no not really... Only when she was awake. Oh someone was speaking to him. "Hm? Oh yes of course." Now, as long as little Von allowed him to, Malik would slip an arm under his belly and scoop him up as he groaned to a standing position only to find himself addressed to again, this time by the fretting Zane.
"Of course I'm alright, dear boy. I've had worse scratches than this. It's you who should be taking care of yourself! You were infected too!" His gaze turned to the Fukutaicho as he announced. "Please make sure this young man gets a full examination, from head to toe! I want to make sure one under my care is in tip top shape!" Pet, pet, stroke, stroke.
Surprise time!
Now, Malik was used to seeing Mai on a daily basis, however Chie was another matter altogether. So whenever he did get to see his eldest daughter, his face always seemed to beam with both pride and joy. What a day this was turning out to be, he found a new pet and Chie was here! Oh gods, was she alright?! His expression suddenly turned to a bit of panic, his own pain all but forgotten. "Chie! How have you been? Are you alright, you looked flushed. Have you been eating properly?!" Oh right, how rude of him.
"Oh this is my new friend, I think I'm going to call him Captain Furry-pads. Isn't he cute?!"

Hotaru was beginning to get the picture that the Soutaichou would never receive his medical treatment as one visitor after another arrived to greet him. She presumed that the woman was his other daughter, even though they had never met, because of the family resemblance and the way his features lit up with joy upon seeing her. She knew the man from the battle though had never learned his name.
"Certainly Soutaichou, right after your wounds have been tended to?" Her tone of voice was suggestive of a gentle reminder to the man that his medical needs were of importance. "No one who was injured is being permitted to leave this facility, sir. We received word from the Third Division that all who were engaged in the battle are to be detained here until they can be suitably questioned." Giving a smile of greeting to the woman, she stepped aside so the two could converse and then turned her eyes toward the man she had healed during the attack.
Extending her hand, Hotaru said, "I do not believe we have been suitably introduced. I am Hasegawa Hotaru; and you are?"

Zane arched a brow at his Taichou, but who was he to argue with the man? Wait. Did he just say that Zane need to be examined? Since when? Oh whatever then. Zane turned toward Hotaru, the woman who had cared for him in the district when he was infected. He owed quite a bit to this woman for saving him like she had. What bravery she had to risk her own safety for a comrade she wasn't familiar with and protect him as well as healing him. Zane extended his hand to her
"Zane Grinpiers. A pleasure. I don't believe that I have properly thanked you for assisting me out there."
And with those words, Zane's right forearm pressed against his abdomen and he swept into a bow
"Many thanks for saving me, Hotaru"

Returning the expression from the female, Chie smiled at Hotaru before responding to her father.
"I am well, thank you. But I do wish to inquire upon your well-being, if I may be so bold. Saikokui-Taicho wished for me to check up on you after a previous accident. I do apologize upon my lateness, as it does not reflect upon my Taicho but my own inadequacy to carry out my orders in a timely fashion." Pleasant and formal, that would be her tone as Chie addressed her father. Though, it would not be surprising if anyone did not know their relationship, despite similarities in their appearance, Chie was formal and polite as appropriate when addressing the Soutaicho. She never was one to use her parentage for an advantage, after all. She was her own person, and did not wish to be only seen as the Soutaicho's daughter.
Her eyes dropped to the fox again, whom was wearing a bit of smugness (if animals could do so). "As for..Captain Furry-Pads, I have come to collect him, I am afraid." She had not yet decided how she was going to play this. If she told Malik that she was collecting the creature to punish it for misdeeds, he might not give Von back, or worse punish the animal himself. If she told Malik Von was her pet, she would risk the chance of that bit of news returning to her division, and risking punishment.
For now, she would keep her expression natural and neutral.
Meanwhile, Von watched the interaction with interest, calm in the Soutaicho's care.

With Kiba's legs mostly debrided, Mai took half a step back, cheeks tinged ever so slightly at the unspoken praise; Harupia was right, Mai surmised, they did work well together. While Harupia collected the tools required for the flushing, some diluted antiseptic and gauze cloths, the young Tanaka made to cover the remnants of the prone Taichou's shihakushou and to prevent undue saturation of his posterior -- while she was sure Harupia's skill in flushing wounds was far superior to her own, Mai's own skill had yet to surpass that OHNOIT'SGOINGEVERYWHERE hurdle despite the simple task of squeezing soaked rag over the desired area; no patient should sit in his own bodily fluids, even if they were on their way to being...somewhat sanitary.
"You may experience some slight physical discomfort, Shuchiku-Taichou," Mai warned before the agents would begin their trek over the wounded legs. "Even when numbed, some patients are still able to feel some sensations." She stepped back toward Kiba's legs, forceps at the ready to gently pluck up any bits of flesh still attached to the healthy skin; the flowing antiseptic would need to get under there, and the gentle pulling would ensure that the wound was sufficiently coated. The more damaged or unsalvageable bits of skin would have to be excised before the actual task of healing began; they were slowly dying, and the result would be unbecoming, at the very least. This entire procedure was to get the nasties out so the legs would not go septic and need to be amputated.

Kiba had to close his eyes and breathe deeply as the doctors went about their business - while he couldn't feel specifically the debris being plucked from him or the flesh being moved about, he could feel the pressure of the touches, the heat of movement, the tingling of items and skin being removed. As Harupia questioned his well-being, while commenting on the cleanliness of his wounds, a shudder went through the Fourth Taicho's body, and his right arm jerked elbow-first into the headboard behind him, splitting the upstanding chunk of wood in a jagged line as the guilty Taicho grimaced.
"Sorry about that. It was wild out there - you remember - so no telling what kind of slippery beast managed to sneak in and get me while I was busy." And that, clearly, was the end of the story according to Kiba, as he promptly set his jaw and clenched his teeth to keep from breaking anymore furniture while the duo got to work flushing his wounds.
Kiba tried hard not to laugh at the younger doctor's warning, jaw flexing as she dutifully plucked dead from living in his legs. He nodded his understanding of course, and tried to make the nod as polite and not violently terse as possible, but at this point, it was clear his patience for the medical room was wearing thin, his eyes constantly flicking open to glance at the door before being squeezed shut again, the mildly impulsive Taicho fighting many urges at a time in the name of being properly tended to.

As Harupia turned back to see Mai covering up the Taicho in case of any...accidents (he doubted those would really occur, seeing how the men was conscious and didn't show signs of shock or anything...but he guessed it was better to be safe then sorry unless the other party voiced a protest...) and warn the Captain at the possibility of feeling discomfort he would say "Don't worry Kiba-Taicho, Mai is quite exceptionally skilled, I'm sure she will try and limit the p..."
It was at the point where the sudden movement of the Captain causing to the headboard. Well, someone was getting a bit restless it seemed... Not really phased by the thing besides the initial surprise he would say "Its ok, I was expecting some damages to happen with so much patients... And In retrospect its a good thing the monster which attacked you turned out to be a neat one, makes the whole procedure much easier for us, hehe". After that, he would get back to work, seeing that Kiba was getting a bit restless. And a restless patient was never a good thing.
With the fore-caps cleaned now, he also removed any dead skin from the legs, being as fast and efficient with it as he could. After that was dealt with, he would used the antiseptic soaked gauze and rub it across the wounded areas where it was needed, cleaning and disinfecting the skin where it was needed. Finlay he would move in to the final step, in which his specialty would be used, his hands starting to glow with vibrant green energy, using his Chiduyo skills to heal and patch up the wounded leg. As this process went on, he would cast glances at Mai, checking her progress, awaiting if she needed any sort of advice, or simply nodding at her good work. He would be quite for the most part, wanting to focus on healing their patient. He never did enjoy being put in the hospital bed for to long
As the healing was applied there, the unappreciated workers outside had to deal with the small girl. The healer which was silent till this point snapped at her saying loudly "IF YOU WANT WE CAN THROFFFF" before Minato would give him a swift elbow to the ribs while saying "Both of you quite down...the last thing they need is to hear you two bickering" first glaring at his companion then at Torako, after which he said "Id rather take a long time then see your back open up from the wounds again...but don't worry, were done for now. You'll need to rest for a few days, and might need some more healing applied, but you should be fine for now.
Kuro, go and fetch her something to eat, she had a rough time back there" he said turning to his companion again, who went away giving her a glare before doing so. Minato then closed of the makeshift curtains he made around her bed, and passed her the simple, white hospital robes "You can go ahead and change now...it'll be better then laying around in those tatted up cloths of yours" he said, standing outside of the concealed bed, making sure no one was trying to take a peek under there. Even here there could be perverts abound...

[bgcolor=E86100]Taking long time to heal? Yeah, sure, if you used the old "spit method", it'd take a long time. But they're using heal magic! That should speed things up AT LEAST fifty times! But instead it's going slower! ..wait! She needed to stay here for days?! Geez, this is frustrating..
After the whole ordeal with Moron #1 wanting to throw down with her and leaving, she got up behind the now covered bed and began to change. However.. she looked down to see the feet of the medic who was.. well, not moving, and reacted with a response that could only lead to one thing...
"H-Hey you! Get away!"
..Hilarious misunderstandings!

[bgcolor=000000]"Not permitted to leave?" Hm." Yes, yes supposed that was for the best, no telling what else could possibly happen to the lot whom were wounded after all. Another possible outbreak would be, well quite unsettling. Though being forced to remain here for questioning as well was a bother.. Perhaps that is why Chie was here?
Or not...
Glancing down at his new friend and then back to Chie, his eyes seemingly turned into spheres, his lower lip quivering a bit. "But why, what has Captain Furry-Pads done to be restrained?" He cupped a hand beneath the fox's mouth and gave'im a scratch. "Is he to be held for questioning too?!"
And yes, just like that. Malik, the eldest in the room turned into a child who didn't want to give up his new 'toy'. Though to be honest, he really should be more concerned about the still 'fresh' wounds which were slowly dripping upon his back. Priorities man!
