Totally forgot that February is a short month, my bad. So we'll run the lottery thread from today until midnight Sunday, just like the BotS thread. For more information about how the lottery thread works, check here. [link]
This month's topic is school. Favorite classes, least favorite classes, hardest subject, easiest subject, projects you've had to do, what you're majoring in, what you wish you could have done different in school, what you wish your school would have had, what you want to do in regards to future schooling. Whatever, so long as it's school related.

It's snowing; totally a good excuse. At least in Texas.
I loved snow days when I was in school. Unless it snowed while we were at school, because walking home uphill on icy roads with a heavy backpack really sucked.

I used to love the cold, but not anymore. Our streets ice over and don't get salted in the outskirts, and I have to walk to my primary campus.

How many campuses does your school have?

We have three. They're all spread apart far enough that you can't walk from one to the other, but nowadays I only need to go to two of them, so it's manageable. We have an excellent public transport system.

We have no transport system in my town. XD
Unless you count school buses for kids, which I don't.
Since I'm in an online college, I don't have a campus (though there technically is one), but as for my high school, it's on the same campus as the elementary and junior high, and the whole this is smaller than the nearest town's high school campus alone.

My highschool days back in England were the best. Moving to Luxembourg really screwed me over.
Homeschooling was nice while it lasted. I like being independent and working at my own pace, but I'm a social creature at heart, so it wasn't doing me any favors. It's amazing I lasted as long as I did.

I'm the opposite. I don't do well in crowds, so online/solo schooling is perfect for me. I just have to stay motivated to get my studying done, but that shouldn't be too difficult because I actually like to learn when it's a subject I'm interested in, and as I'm taking Psychology, I'm definitely interested.

I needed to pick five subjects for my exams in May, and one of them had to be a social science; I was going to take Psychology, but it would've meant dropping Physics due to my agenda, and I'm not sure I could've covered it well enough. e,,e

Ewww, physics. I am terrible at subjects involving math.

My father wouldn't let me be better at the languages. ~_~ He is very vocal about it, and since he funds my schooling, I had to prioritize science.

Anatomy wasn't an option?
I loved anatomy. >,,>

Biology was, but I score better at Physics. << I'm equally fascinated by both.
I'll also be tested in Oceanography, which I guess involves some biology. I thought it'd be a fun topic to choose.

Oceanography is sexy. I watch so many marine documentaries on netflix. >>;
I was waaaaaaaay better at biology than physics. xD I enjoyed it. Also helps that the smell of formaldehyde doesn't bother me. Kinda sad I don't get to take any life science classes for my degree. ;-;

Me too. The documentaries were encouraging, and my uncle is a marine biologist who raises tropical fish and styles coral aquariums. I love fish. Especially eating them.
Biology classes are definitely more fun. First two years of Physics are almost all math here, and although I've been coping, I wouldn't look forward to class as much as with anatomy. It gets better later down the line, though, or so I've heard.

It gets better down the line is totally something parents and teachers made up to encourage kids to continue with stuff. >>
Maybe you should be an oceanographer. :o
Or would your dad not accept that and stop paying for your school? <<

What all other classes are you having to take?

I have computer science and European Studies/English at the campuses, and flight school at the airport. I have Physics as well, but it's partially in German and I tend to skip those classes.
For French (which I never study regardless) and Oceanography, I receive the courses but don't need to attend so long as I pass the tests in May.

Physics in German sounds like a personal nightmare for me.
I just found out I can take Biology for my second semester elective. 83
I can also take Criminal Behavior as an elective my fourth semester.
May wet my pants.
I watch way too much Criminal Minds. I'd love to be a profiler. @_@

But profiling is interesting! D:

If you can find a way to do it online (not sure how often you can access a regular computer, though you could hit up a library or something), the college I'm enrolled in offers a pharmacy tech certificate for a fraction of the cost. [link]
Edit: And if you want to enroll, I can give you my student ID and you should get a small discount.

Welcome. :B
Actually have a problem with my fourth semester options because I can either take A&P I and A&P II or Criminal Behavior and some other course. e,,e Not sure what I want to do more. Criminal behavior fits with my degree better, but I love anatomy so much. ;-;

Of course I miss the physics and biology discussion considering those were two of my major classes this last quarter.
Overall my Physics classes were pretty good except for the tests. Test scores focused a lot more on the final answers so if I made a mistake with the type of formula I was using I wouldn't even get partial credit. Hopefully I still managed to pass that class x.x
Physiology was another pretty good class. Teacher was nice, the labs were awesome and had dissections and something that was actually pretty close to a vivisection. Only downside for that one was that I messed up my last few tests (I'm sensing a pattern with the tests)
