Of course I miss the physics and biology discussion considering those were two of my major classes this last quarter. Overall my Physics classes were pretty good except for the tests. Test scores focused a lot more on the final answers so if I made a mistake with the type of formula I was using I wouldn't even get partial credit. Hopefully I still managed to pass that class x.x Physiology was another pretty good class. Teacher was nice, the labs were awesome and had dissections and something that was actually pretty close to a vivisection. Only downside for that one was that I messed up my last few tests (I'm sensing a pattern with the tests)
You might just be a bad test taker. My sister is. She can study and know all the information, but still bomb tests because she panics and psyches herself out. You also might just need a new study method, like practical application rather than reviews. Not really sure how you study as is though.

Yus, there's that too. :o
Also be sure to review old tests for a subject. The respective formats (types of questions) tend to be similar, so if there's a particular type of question you keep missing, be sure to study it. Even if it's not exactly the same, you should have the application down, especially in physics.

Usually I've been pretty good at taking tests.
I think these more recent ones have been bad partially because of me psyching myself out given that the tests are a much bigger part of my grade than they were in high school.
My usual method of studying is that I go over the material a couple of times per day about a week in advance.
My problem with physics is that I mix up some of the equations that are pretty similar and that causes me to lose a lot of points.

That's why the practical application and reviewing similar questions will help. And making sure you're taking the time to slow down and read the question correctly. That's always been a problem of mine. I read so fast that small but important words sometimes get skipped over so I pick the wrong answer every now and then.

I'm sad because I haven't spread out my art classes very well. I'm already getting into the evil math courses. ;A;

We can help you with your math <,,<
Back when I was in school, I tried to at least get my classes on the same two days to minimize driving times and the like. So I end up there at like, 7 in the morning and didn't leave until 9 or ten at night. Good times, good times.

We can help you with your math <,,<
We could set up some kind of homework request thread. You post what you're needing help on and some who can help can PM the person. If/When you get help, you mark it as resolved like how we do in the streamline thread. It might not be super helpful given we're all studying different things, but some people may get some use out of it.

It might not be super helpful given we're all studying different things, but some people may get some use out of it. I like this idea. I'm confident enough in my ability to math nowadays to assist those who need help, and if nothing else, I'm always interested in what others are studying. For that reason, I'd rather it not be PM-only if we do go through with this; if I can't figure out the answer myself, I'd like to see the thought process behind those who can, so I guess the solution(s) could be made public?
This is easily done for math, at least. You never know; somebody else could spot an error.

I can't draw either ;0;
I would be willing to help with math problems. Not sure on how helpful I can be for any other problems but Calculus was one of the classes that I did pretty well in.

Those are terrible excuses.
On a more serious note; I can help with real school stuff. In theory. I took art courses in College, but in high school I took every academic course they offered. So to a point I can be helpful in most anything. Or infuriating. One or the other.

I hated math with an undying passion. Well, Geometry was kind of fun, but I only liked the proofs. It was like solving a riddle, and for me it was like a game, always trying to find the shortest route to the answer. I think that was the only thing that kept my grade up. Everything else bored me.
Wasnt too crazy about science either, except the dissection bits we did in H.S. Ah man, the joy I felt in cutting up critters to learn about their insides...

I never liked proofs. They were evil and gave me nightmares. Wasnt too crazy about science either, except the dissection bits we did in H.S. Ah man, the joy I felt in cutting up critters to learn about their insides... I see what you did there >> I really did enjoy the dissections we did in lab though. Got to go with a shark, a pig fetus and then we killed a crayfish and extracted a neuron. Plus we also inserted two electrodes on the top of a crayfish's heart and used it to measure it's heart beat. With that last one we also injected it with epinephrine and acetylcholine to see how it reacted (other than vomiting).

Never got to dissect nothing D:
Seriously, our bio teacher forgot about the fetal pigs for the entire six months we had them. They stayed in the freezer. >_>
AND THEN SHE ALLOWED THE CLASS TO DISSUADE HER ABOUT GOING TO THE CADAVER SCHOOL.

Well the reason I had suggested doing it by PM is so that the request thread didn't get cluttered with people working on a request in case someone else got skipped by accident because of the additional posts. We could do a separate thread for working through the problems if people don't want to do it through PM. I'm fine either way.
I'll probably end up needing help with math. >_> But that's not until my final semester.

I've done most of my dissections outside of class. >_>
My friend gave me this contraption to keep my course books upright as I study. It's made things leagues easier. The effort of gazing downward bore down too heavily upon me.

I don't think we dissected fetal pigs. I know we did worms, mice, some kind of fish thing..I cant remember what. Then we did turtles, which was fun cuz I got to keep my shell (IT WAS HUGE) and then I suggested we did cats. I also wanted to go on a field trip to see a cadaver dissection, but only myself and my teacher were excited about it. I think the rest of the class hit their limit when we did the cats.
Ah well

Dissecting things was probably one of my favorite parts of biology.
I only passed Algebra II because the teacher's daughter was my best friend at the time and she was going through some really difficult stuff. I probably would have done better if I wasn't crushing on the guy who sat behind me. <___<

I managed to miss all the days in junior high when they dissected the squid and the frogs. Of course, I probably would not have missed the frogs if the teacher did not explain in detail how they died. Friggin gas chambers, man. And I missed the squids because they did that for the seventh graders, and I only went to that school for the eighth grade.
I missed all the cutting up stuff and managed to get sex ed and PE four years in a row :/
