The Nuemenoir legacy started with a tribe of nomads, roaming the land before finally settling upon the hilltop, later naming their new home after the the nearby mountains. After years of growth and settling, Hadvel, the elected Lord, had ventured out to the Hollowed Forest, searching for game. While searching with his party, he got separated and wandered aimlessly. In his search, Hadvel came across a shrine, and at that shrine, he claimed to have seen a horned equine, that it even talked to him. None believed the claims when he finally found his way back to Bulgate. Many believed it was because he was a senile old man and soon elected his only son as the new Lord, yet took up the name of the celestial beast his father claimed to have seen, even honoring him by starting up a breeding facility of the horses they managed to acquire.
Years of perfecting their herds, people of Akatokiyami begin to talk about the hardiness of their steeds, even gaining the title of nobles. The herds of Nuemenoir grew in popularity even to the point of secretly supplying the true army with horses, giving old and sickly horses to the Snowclaw forces. Once Nathanial took over the title of Lord of Bulgate, he openly opposed Snowclaw, joining with Ulfric, the true king.
