"Thanks for letting me come along!" Yumi smiled to Miroku, though politely declined his hand, walking along beside him as they made their way to the caravans. He was her partner for this, not a date after all.
Obediently Yumi closed her eyes in instruction, yet failed to obey the second order, for moments after she closed her eyes IT returned, a massive wasp like beast, the one who had taken much of her mobility from her. For that is what she was, she went fast and this accursed beast took it away from her. But it had been slain. She had ended its consciousness with her own blade.
It could not hurt her now...
"Sayonara, brother."
Instead Kabelja was matched up with another red-haired woman, unknown to Kabelja. She was impressed by her uniform, prim and crisp. "Exactly as it ought to be. Fukutaichou Shinku, Sixth Seat Yakanami and Taichou Techimaru could learn from her." Agent double one nine was somewhat saddened that her current undergarments added some untidiness to her attire.
"Good evening," she greeted her new companion, giving a low bow. "I am First Division, Nineteenth Seat Watson. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
"Are you perhaps referring to Azoth Yakanami, unseated member of the First Division? Cousin of Chishio Yakanami, our Sixth Seat?" She tilted her head slightly as she walked with Lira towards the caravans.
Unlike everyone else, Kabelja had won the game. Fear was an emotion, and she had been trained to not have them. Dwelling on unnecessary things like this was oft detrimental. Though someday she may have had to face something that would destroy her. Retirement.
Kabelja lived for her work. It was the very core of her being. She did not know what to do with her free time, and to be given an infinite amount of it would have been dreadful for the Shinigami. Not that she anticipated it occurring soon, she had subconsciously made herself integral to the running of Seireitei. Her own cog in the great machine of the Gotei may have been rather dull, yet it was vital to its operation. It would take at least half a dozen Shinigami decades to efficiently replace her. And besides, though she was old, she was not the oldest. The Soutaichou had over twelve centuries over her, and Taichou Kurisuna had a few more years still. It would be hard to retire this old bat!

The strange man was content with the two, Sengoku and Ume, as a pair. She watched as he weaved in and out of the small crowd of people, positioning them according to his standards of who should be with who. However, some would be questionable, to say at the very least, but Ume was not about to complain. Were these pairings to see which would die together? This random invite was suspicious, and she couldn't help but think that they were being sent to their death beds. Maybe the spirit of Halloween did not help her thoughts much, but she certainly found this to be really, really spooky.
Now they were being asked to close their eyes and try not think of their greatest fear? How could anyone get more skeptical? Gazing around with one eye squinted and peeking, the other closed, she would notice many were complying to the request. She sighed softly and decided to trust the stranger, sight met with darkness. Now, do not think of one's greatest fear? He practically set everyone up to fail!
She groaned, mentally trying to block out that track of thought. What did she do? Let random words, pictures roam her head. She even tried counting, singing a tune; alas, the thought loomed like a depressing cloud, waiting for a weak spot to rain upon her. It grew persistent and in size, until she could ignore it no longer.
"My greatest fear? I have some dislikes... But my greatest fear?" She pondered her ultimate weakness, maybe for a minute or so. As she stepped into the wagon with only Sengoku, Taisho paired with a different group, she seemed to tighten the grip of her hand, digits entwined with his. Was she scared? Maybe so. But, she began to process some fears. There was the tremendous fear of failure... The fear to lose someone, but, maybe the greatest fear of all for her was to become incapable, incompetent, weak. How? To be ridden of her senses, to be paralyzed, unable to move and unable to feel; to be nothing at a vegetative state, to feel nothing, to rot as a blank entity, to not be able to touch, see, speak, move, hear, smell and taste. Shivers ran along her spine and she murmurs softly, trying to dismiss the idea. It would be awful, knowing that you're alive but unable to truly live.

His face seemingly ticked at the man as he mentioned fears, so lost in character his own fears lost to him. Instead, he all but ignored the fellow at first and instead cupped his companion by the waist and lifted her into the back of the carriage. He may not exactly have the best people skills, but he could still be a gentleman when the time called for it. He then followed by climbing into the carriage himself before slipping near the front of the carriage and sitting himself down. It was only then that he did as he was bid and closed his eyes for a moment and tried not to think of his fears.
At first, this was a rather simple thing for him to do, for he just thought of food and other images which he shall not admit to about a certain person in his present company. Yep, no fears there. However, as the seconds passed by a chill went down his spine and a mental image came to mind that made him sit up a little straighter.
The figure was a man dressed in white from head to toe, the only bit of his face seen were his eyes as a small face mask covered his features. The white scrubs he was wearing was speckled with different shades of red, from fresh to coppery faded. Blood.. Around his neck a contraption that would allow him to listen to any man or woman's heart beat and various other inner functions with the utmost ease. In one hand he had a large needle, filled with some yellow liquid while in the other, of all things a damned hand saw.
His eyes opened suddenly with alarm as the fear which seemed to come from nowhere filled him up.Oh god, why am I terrified of Doctors..?
Ironic that his daughter was one.. Actually no that made perfect sense.

Uddo stared back at the orange furry face of Yoshiya, feathers ruffled and puffed to show that he was not going to trust the words of the Rukon. Uddo wasn't like Kurai, or what she was like before, instead skittish around the fleshy creatures. After a good few more silent seconds, the woodpecker returned to his twitchy habit of keeping an eye on things, acting as if the man never even spoke to the bird. He was to play the part of a real bird, after all.
The creepy little man then caught the eyes of the strange bird, am equally strange cooing noise emanating in his throat. Uddo was to not think about his biggest fear? He usually didn't think much on his fear, unless he was hunting, or someone brought up the topic of fears. The bird visibly shuddered as he thought of the horrid monster that plagued his scavenging excursions. Its round, crimson body. Those splattered patterns that ranged in different compositions from creature to creature. And those big, white eye-like spots on the black shelled head. Uddo let out a squawk in absolute terror. How did these things multiply even though they were called ladybugs!? The bird never understood that logic.
Kurai's bottom lip stuck out in a pout when she was forced into a pair with her "father." Her brow would knit together even more severely when he tired to be funny. She was not amused in the least bit. Crossing her pale arms over her chest defiantly, Kurai let out an exasperated sigh. Great. I was hoping to be able to learn things from others, but that's not gonna happen now.
The little arrancar gave a start when Uddo let out a shriek of fear, her fingers curling into fists to keep from reaching up and strangling the bird. She let out a hiss, her mind wandering to what she feared most. She feared dying, yes. But more than that, she feared that her new ragtag group would betray her. Stab her in the back when she wasn't looking and leave her with out the completion of her ploy of revenge. She felt a stabbing pain in her chest, tiny fist clutching at her sternum as her features took on a somber expression.
Just as quickly at the emotion rose, Kurai stamped it out with a cold shrug of her shoulder before moving to the carriage everyone was being herded to, muttering a 'let's go' to her guardian. That though of betrayal still nagged at the back of her mind, however.

Miroku nodded as she declined his hand, and they walked to the wagon together. Looking at Yumi, then hearing the man's words, Miroku too would close his eyes. Not thinking about your greatest fear? Impossible, fear cannot be forgotten, or not Miroku's anyways.
As a boy, he had loved being in the woods, but then he had been lost one day and decided to take a nap on the ground. When he awoke, he was mortified to discover a parade of creepy crawly insects on and around him. Miroku jumped up in terror and screamed, and his parents found him. Shuddering slightly, he would make sure Yumi was near him for this dark ordeal.

There was no way Chishio wasn't thinking about her fears. She came walking into them. The dark. Woods. The woods at night. Who knew what stalked the nights and jump out to attack her? This was why she was near inseparable from the white-haired man. Once she was placed into the back of the wagon, Chio would in turn, help the Soutachio up and follow him to their seats. She folded her hands in her lap, hesitantly closing her eyes as instructed. Her heart beat pulsed rapidly, echoing how terrified she was. It was a wonder Malik didn't comment on the noise of her frantic heart.
Instantly, she rebuked herself for showing how pathetic she really was in this situation. She was supposed to be a shinigami. A death god. But here she was, cowering for just being thrown into the woods at night. Just how she was accepted as a shinigami was beyond her. Thankfully the bite of chill would serve as an excuse to the embarrassed blush on her face. Wouldn't want the boss to think she wasn't worthy of being the sixth seat.

The door to the wagon, unlike that of the gate, squeaked and creaked noisily as the man closed it, slow enough so that the bells on his outfit did not jingle unnecessarily. With a heavy thud and ominous click, a sound of finality as the sixteen were locked in the utter darkness. Those more prone to fears of darkness or claustrophobia would feel it first, if they hadn't already; slowly, the group was shuffled forward by a mutual need to spread out for air, and those first to move soon found their way blocked by a low wall.
It was about hip-height, with a blocked gap large enough to fit a pair through side-by-side. The wagon itself was larger inside that it appeared to be on the outside, which was fortunate in that there was no other way the sixteen of them could fit inside without being uncomfortably close, and also fortunate in that it needed to be in order to hold the maze the group found themselves at the head of. It was dark inside and out, but the boards comprising the shell of the wagon were not always flush with one another, and small beams of light permeated the cracks, giving the group enough light to slowly begin to see.
A second creaking -- almost a moan-like sound -- started after a few minutes of that tense silence when none talked, the prelude to the sudden, jerking motion as the wagon lurched forward. Only then, did the gate open, and one poor, unsuspecting body resting against it crashed toward the floor, jarring him...or her.
Mai did not scream loudly, only squealed in terror at the combination of the thudding, the creaking, and the sudden movement; she sucked closer to Harupia, relinquishing her grip on his forearm for a short moment as she nearly jumped out of her skin and came to a stop close enough that their hips would touch. Panicked, she clutched for his arm or his hand, anything, for reassurance. For safekeeping.
A soft chiming began as the wagon maintained a slow but steady pace forward -- the lurching had thrown them all the direction they had come, after all. As the group regained itself, or kept their panic partly under wraps, the chiming grew louder, and it seemed to come from beyond the open partition. The question they must ask themselves now, to go forward, or to stay back in the gradually shrinking antechamber?
"Do we go forward?" Mai whispered to Harupia, no doubt echoing all the other whispers soon to reach everyone else's ears. "Now or later?"

Taisho looked over at Biru while he spoke to him and nodded his head in agreement. Slowly taking the lead he walked into wagon after Biru taking up second place. He was going to take the lead but as of right now he would act as the silent leader of the group, Slowly placing his hand on his sword at his hip he slightly bumped into Biru who was know beside him. His biggest fear was no more Taning oil. It was a big deal to the man, it was just a bad idea in his mind of losing such a product he needed it to look super manly and good looking with out he would be a total mess. He sighed softly slightly scared to see what was going to happen next.
Lira looked over at the red head as she spoke to her, who the hell did this woman think she was speaking to Lira like that she crossed her arms flashing out of her sexy dream and looked at the red head and slightly growled back an answer. "Who The hell Is that, Your hearing things. I said Jim...ya...Said the name Jim." Lira shook her head at the red headed woman and followed her lead. DAMN some one was on to her who her hidden love was. if this woman came out to the 6th seat of the first division who was Azoth-sama's cousin. Things wouldn't go to plan for Lira. THINGS WHERE GOING TO HIT THE FAN.
As Lira entered the wagon her worst fear was happening in front of her. Azoth walking away from her with a blonde headed woman, who was wearing a black tank top and a brown skirt with hearts on the back pockets. The fashion was kinda silly looking. She even had heart earrings, what was this girl in love with hearts. But just the fact of seeing Azoth arm and arm with another woman was Lira's biggest fear she slightly shivered in fear not sure what was going to happen. She didn't like not begin paired with her Azoth-sama. It was a crying shame.

A bright smile came to Harupia’s lips as Mai accepted his invitation, gently squeezing his arm around hers. He looked around a bit to see how the groups assembled, some on their own volition and some urged on by the ringmaster. Things were going relatively well… What draw him out of his light musing was the feeling of Mai’s hand over his jacket, turning to her as she apologized for her inspection of his clothing. With a chuckle he said “ No need to apologize…It’s been a while since I dressed more casually, it’s nice to hear someone appreciate it…”
Before they could talk more, they were ushered into the cart by the member of the Caravan. Moving in, he would step in first before assisting Mai in her getting up into the wagon, right before they were warned not to think of their own fears. As the Taicho closed his eyes, he tried to comply, somewhat realizing in his mind that him mentioning the issue was aiming to create quite the opposite effect. Still, awareness didn’t stop the though quickly flashing through his mind. It was something he tried to repress, and was somewhat ashamed of, but he feared that he would share his father’s fate. That someday in the heat of battle, which he still was far from felling at ease at, he would be crippled, and he wouldn’t be able to perform his work. He could see that his father was taking his retirement rather badly, though he did show some sign of improvement. Still, he knew that if he himself would be unable to help anyone, to never be able to heal and save the lives of others, the feeling of being a burden to those you were supposed to protect… it was always there, digging at his psyche...
What seemed like a flash turned out to be a longer moment, with the doors shutting behind them, and the cart moving forward slightly, only Mai’s panicked cry managing to bring him completely out of his stupor. He felt her press a bit closer to him, reaching out in a startled fashion. He would wrap his arm around her shoulder somewhat tightly in an instinctive manner, wanting only to calm her down as he quietly said “It’s alright, it’s just some prop… The ring master didn’t do all this set up to just have us stand around in the dark, hehe. Though it surprising how much space there is inside…” he mused with curiosity, noting how they all managed to fit inside. And it seemed to expand much, much further. Hearing her question, he would take a moment to think as he said “I’d say we should move forward…I don’t think standing in the dark will be particular entertaining… Don’t worry, I won’t let you get lost in the dark.” He concluded, his grip on her shoulder easing a bit as he moved forward, attempting to guide her into the dark.

"Actually my name is Biru." The scientist said to Sikes. Ignoring the sales pitch that the man gave (Biru already had a very satisfactory place of residence), Biru instead focused on keeping his balance as they moved into the wagon. Having a feeling that it was bigger on the inside, Biru was unsure if they were supposed to open their eyes now.
However the decision was soon taken out of his hands. As the cart moved forward and something hit the ground with a thud, Biru involuntarily opened his eyes when Taisho bumped into him. Stumbling forward a few steps, Biru looked around as his eyes adjusted to the darkness. Noticing that it seemed like they were at the entrance of what seemed to be a maze, Biru wondered how they were able to fit such a thing inside of a wagon.
"I think we can open our eyes now." Biru said to Sikes, Taisho and anyone else who cared to pay attention. Waiting a few moments so his eyes could adjust more, Biru noticed that neither Taisho or Sikes had decided to go forward.
"No sense waiting around. The chiming...thing is probably where our goal is." Biru said to his groupmates he motioned towards the two to follow him (hopefully their vision had adjusted enough to notice such a motion). Walking forward into the maze, Biru wondered what tricks their rather eccentric host had put into the maze. "I vote we go in a line so things don't get crowded. Just let me know if one of you two want to go in front. Also we may want to keep talking that way none of us get separated." Biru said to his companions who were (hopefully) behind him.

Chio jumped in her seat at the shriek of terror, fingers returning to clutch onto the arm of the Soutaicho as small whine left her lips. She was going to die. The dark was closing in on her, making it hard for the woman to breathe. She screwed her eyes shut even tighter, hoping that everything would disappear and she was really back in her bed at home just having a terrible nightmare.
Yes! That was just all this was, a nightmare! All she had to do was pinch herself and she'd wake up from this horror story her mind was conjuring. One hand left Malik's arm, moving over to the other that still clutched furiously to his, fingers squeezing the skin. She flinched slightly, lips already in a grimace when she opened her eyes. Her stomach dropped heavily like a brick.
She was still here. Still trapped in a claustrophobic area, the walls seeming to press closer and closer together.... Wait... They are closing in! Another bout of panic pressed heavily upon the chest of Chishio, her breathing becoming strained. Poor Malik in choosing Chishio as his partner.

His eyes moved toward Mai and Harupia, two doctors in their own right. However these two were not masked, in scrubs or covered in blood with cruel and unusual instruments. As such, the sweat upon his brow was most likely unwarranted. Giving his head a tiny shake, he took a deep breath to calm himself only to nearly jump out of his skin when Mai shrieked aloud.
Well, he jump about an inch but it was certainly noticeable.
He looked over at her, for a moment breaking character as he felt a deep pang of pity for the girl, however he soon snapped back to the Captain he was portraying and turned his attention to the whimpering Chio. Rather than say a word to her, he continued to stare at her hard eyed, before slipping an arm around her and pulling her in close. He would continue to do so, feigning ignorance to everything going on around him.
While he did not speak, his eyes would say it all. 'You're going to be alright. Just relax, everything is okay.' Confidence would seem to ooze out of the man, while all the while the fear of his own was scratching at the back of his mind. He would not scratch though, not yet. It was a childish fear, something stupid and it would not get the best of him. He would refuse it for as long as he could. He would not give in!
Until he did, and then oh boy.. He pitied those around him.

Poor Yumi. The joltings of the caravan were too much for the girl. She was still somewhat uneasy on her feet, and she had no visual data to help her balance. One particular bump sent her particularly off-balance, accidentally tackling Miroku towards a wall with a startled yelp.
Agent Double One Nine didn't fare much better. She hadn't had much field training, as her day-job was that of a clerk. "Excellent, this carriage will lead us right to the villain's lair. I should probably stick with Jim (For that is what she thought Lira's name was) for the time being."

"Ah, sorry mate," Sikes said to Biru. "I'll get it right from now on."
Sikes was somewhat relaxed in the carriage, and even struck up a little ditty.
Eventually young Biru came up with a proposal. "Sounds good to me. If there are no objections, I say the guv'nor goes first, and I'll take up the rear."
Yoshiya did not act, standing resolute with his staff in a crack to provide balance. His instinct said to smash his way through this. He did have an axe after all. But he wanted Kurai to take charge, for her to act. She wanted a chance to prove herself, so he decided that he'd let her make the orders. Unless she requested help, or made a particularly poor suggestion of course.
Besides, if the wagon needed tearing up, there was always Sengoku with his axe, or a number of burlymen...and women.

Sengoku cursed himself mentally the moment his fear raced across his mind. Fleeting, brief, and altogether potentially damning, he was no longer as comfortable with this situation as he had been before. He caught a brief glimpse of Malik's face, and was unsettled to find the barest hints of similar concerns in those old eyes. He grimaced and faced forward. When he felt Ume's hand tightening in his, he squeezed back gently; Calm reassurance that he was there with her, and he had no intentions of allowing that to change. He settled down onto one of the seats and waited with Ume, quiet and pensive for the moment. His eyes wandered about the dark interior of the carriage, and he realized with a start that the room seemed smaller than before.
Someone screamed, he wasn't sure who, but every muscle in his body went tense, and his free hand drifted towards the axe lodged in his belt. "Ume..." He muttered, looking about, but keeping his voice low so that only she could hear him, "Is it just me, or is this carriage, somehow, getting smaller?" He was hoping his eyes were playing tricks on him, hoped he wasn't really seeing this. Maybe it was an illusion? A trick? It had to be. The wagon had already seemed far too large inside to match its outsides, but how could he be certain? He didn't know, and that lingering doubt gnawed at the back of his mind like a hungry hollow.

Uddo squawked loudly, rapidly beating his wings as his little heart beat frantically at the noises, the big clank, creaking, and Mai. His claws, which were dug into Kurai's hair, caused the little girl to curse and yelp, her own small limbs reaching up at the bird, "Uddo! Stop! You're pulling my hair!"
Upon hearing the shrill complaint of Kurai, Uddo would let out another birdly noise, this one a coo, in apology. He was still frightened tremendously, but managed to loosen his hold on the girl's hair just a wee bit, relieving the sharp pain that assaulted Kurai's scalp. "This one is sorry, Kura- er... squawk!"
After fixing the hair that she could get to without jostling the bird, Kurai turned her crimson eyes toward the new opening. It was decided. The arrancar firmly grasped the hand of the hairy Rukon she called father and pushed her way between the legs of those much taller towards the entrance to the mysterious beyond. She was going to be the first one, and no one would tell her otherwise, for she was brave! Maybe..

Mai was stiff in Harupia's embrace, not because she was uncomfortable with it, but because she was uncomfortable with the situation -- she did not like being alone in the dark in a room full of strangers...and her. She did not like that she couldn't see where they were going, what they were getting into, and most of all, she did not like not knowing what was going on -- it reminded her of that dream she had the summer before, which she recalled vaguely, but was also uncomfortable. It was strange, and strange was different, and Tanaka Mai did not like things to be different. Her whole life had been built upon the stability of an unstable father-daughter upbringing, which in retrospect was the only way it could have worked, and to change things so drastically had the girl feeling backlash for months.
Harupia's jacket was soft against her skin as they went forward, shoulders brushing past other pairs and the unfortunate Miroku who had tumbled to the ground; his body supported her almost effortlessly, though their equal heights may have had more to do with that than his build; as they passed over the threshold into the maze, she found herself wishing she was just a little bit shorter -- if she was, she could easily duck behind him instead of crying out like a little child.
One by one, the pairs followed one another into the maze. At first, it was fairly typical of a maze: a long, single-laned corridor with twists and turns, serpentining back and forth until they were all spread out. It suddenly opened up into three different alleyways, each branch of the fork nearly identical in appearance, fading off into the blackness. The first, a dead-end, would have the faint, invisible wisps of web floating between the ceiling and the floorboards near the entrance. Deeper in, the cobwebs thickened, some ripe with the cocooned carcasses of long-dead bugs and their arachnid counterparts. Woe unto the unsuspecting who stepped on the triggered board, where a loud, ominous creak would unleash a torrent of dusty and stringy moss, not unlike that of the webs that they had to walk through to reach the flat wall and turn back.
The second pathway continued onward a short distance, oppressively close to those who traversed down its length; those that reached its end would find the wall to shift under a slight amount of pressure, and would be able to slip through it -- a one-sided door that allowed them to walk through and into the next dark room, air thick with a sweet scent, but never to come back through. Forcing them to continue onward without the option to retreat.
The third, to the very left, was also a dead-end, though instead of the creepy-crawlies of the first on the right, it seemed to be home to a large presence that made the hairs on the back of the neck rise in fright, as though a large beast was breathing just out of sight. At the flat wall that signalled the end of the path, a dry, wooden shape hung, creaking softly in time with the rhythm of the wheels as the first wagon wheeled toward the second. Or the second to the third....

Leading his group through the various twists and turns that the maze held for them, Biru realized that silence was beginning to fall on the group. "So is everyone doing okay so far?" Biru asked in an attempt to get people talking. Noticing that some of the other people did seem a bit on edge, Biru was a bit surprised by how the lack of lights was in preparing everyone to be scared. It wasn't as if the dark itself was able to hurt them. Though the things that were using the dark to hide on the other hand.
Finding himself at a crossroads, Biru decided to lead the group down the first path as he didn't see the faint wisps of cobweb that were at the entrance. However as the group moved ahead on the path, the cobwebs would soon grow thicker until they were visible in the dark. Coming to a halt as soon as he noticed the cobwebs which signaled the presence of spiders, Biru was fortunate to stop a few paces shy of the trap that the man had installed. "Nope." Biru thought to himself as he held up his hand to signal to Taisho and Sikes to stop. "Sorry to lead you two on this path but we should turn back now. One of you can pick the path we take next." Biru announced to Taisho and Sikes. Squeezing past them, Biru would then walk back to the crossroads and wait for one of them to choose the next path.

Yoshiya found himself pulled through the crowd, jostling some of his fellow riders, quickly mouthing apologies to those around him, as Kurai yanked him under the gap in the chariot. Shortly after arrival he was met by the party of Biru, Taisho and Ebenezer.
"Hey Yoshiya," said the landlord, rather warm from the cramped conditions. "Left path's a dead end."
"Thanks for the head's up, but Kurai's leading this one, so you should talk to her."
"Sorry Kurai. If you wanna pick a path, we'll go down the other one, if that's agreeable to my two companions. All OK Mr Techimaru, Mr Nie?"

Miroku was caught off guard as Yumi had suddenly fallen, Miroku falling to, so as to catch her. "You alright?" he would ask, helping her up as he himself got up as well as he would continue into the maze, making sure she was close by him. As they came upon a conjunction, Miroku looked at the paths in front of him before looking back at Yumi. "Right seems good to me, what do you think?"

Yumi leapt up off Miroku like a creature possessed.
"S-s-sorry! Are you OK?" Extending a hand, she offered to help him to his feet.
Onwards the pair progressed, through twist and turn of the maze until they reached the great three-fold junction.
"Yes, right! Let's go right!" The poor lass was rather shaken, particularly following her embarrassing collapse onto the man. Her decision making powers were not great, rather flustered and having not composed herself entirely.
Of course, it was just chance...was it not?
Agent Double One Nine was content enough to stand there. Especially as Jim didn't seem want to move herself.

Miroku nodded as he went in first, always classy for the man to lead the women into a dark, scary place first. However, the sight of an alarming number of cobwebs and cocoon definitely started to deter Miroky. Try and he might, evading them couldn't be done. He would shake slightly before moving his hand about, destroying the cobwebs before one of the cocooned denizens moved a bit. Miroku jumped, letting out a small yelp before calming himself again. "Would you like to go first now?" He would ask Yumi, letting his heart subside for now.

Taisho slightly moved to the side as he watched Biru squeeze by him. He turned on the dime and followed Biru back to the cross roads, Putting his hand on his chin he let out a low breath wondering what this puzzle was all about. He didn't like puzzles nor did he like this much darkness he liked how moon light and sun light touched. He looked around wondering what path to take. He took a step forward but then took it back. Looking over at Biru since he seemed to be the more helpful one out of the group.
"Truthfully Biru-san, I`m not to sure what path we should take. Perhaps..Though we should take the second path." Truth be told he new his sister took this path and doesn't seem to be coming back.
Lira looked over at the shinigami with her, her eyes narrowed like a sheet of glass when she looked att he other red head, Her temper was up to hear,. For once in her life she was angry mostly around that Azoth-sama was not here..and second she had to go into a dark cold place with out and stuck with someone else. "My name isn't Jim. Techimaru Lira is the name. You should know that my brother is the Taicho of the Fifth division. Shall we make are way through this damn path so i can carry on with my night."
Lira was very upset with this moment, she didn't want to be stuck with all these people and with out her Azoth. It was a very stress full thing, slowly getting near this door thing she pushed softly on it noticing it moving and slowly she slipped passed the passage way. However she stoped and waiting for her partner..Or what ever she was.

As they move forward slowly, not really at the front but not quite at the end, Haru manager to take a look around as his eyes became more used to the darkness…though he wasn’t sure if that was the best for him since his eyes seemed to be playing tricks on him… the wall’s becoming more and more confined…he never though himself to be claustrophobic, but perhaps the whole atmosphere was getting to him. It seemed to be quite strong if the fallen man the past was any indication. Although, it seemed to be getting to Mai just a bit more, as he could feel how tense she was as they moved forward. On one hand he assumed this was the goal of the whole installation, and it surely supplied them with a slew of sensations. Still, he couldn’t help to feel a bit bad of how shaken she was…
Wanting to reassure her at least a little, he tightened the grip over her shoulder ever so slightly while saying “It’s ok Mai, it’s just the dark and probably some of the travelers playing some tricks on us with the wagon… and if anything were to happen, we’ve got more than enough strength to fend for ourselves. Besides, you father is close by…if I let anything happen to you he’d probably have my head on a platter, wouldn’t he?” he said the last part in a more hushed tone, leaning towards her slightly, smiling brightly as he stopped. If anything, he was enjoying himself quite a bit… both with the thrill of whatever surprises were in store for them, and partially because he could spend some time with Mai, and without all the bad parts of being at work…
As they moved along towards the crossroad, he would see the familiar visage of Biru coming back from one of the paths…quite hastily at that. So it was a dead end…and by the looks of it, one with a nasty surprise at the end. Somewhat tempting…but he didn’t want to consciously move Mai towards any sort of surprise…it was enough when he wasn’t sure what they would come across as well. As the people before them including Taisho, Biru, Yoshiya along with a small girl (and a surprisingly calm little bird) discussed the next course of action. After pondering a bit, he would say “This path looks as dark as any… best just go and see what lurks inside right?” smiling lightly at those gathered before moving ahead, towards the dark corridor.
Now, it was a bit counterproductive to what the thought earlier…but still, they were here to have some fun and excitement. And seeing the unknown would surely provide that…at least so he hoped. As he and Mai walked down the corridor, the wall’s seemingly becoming more and more narrow, which in turn made them move closer and closer to each other (which he couldn’t really complain about…), he would try and lighten the mood up a bit saying “Soo, it seems your father also found a nice companion for the evening… is she someone from his Division?” He wasn’t quite sure if she really was interested in her father private life, but still, he thought a light ribbing of the Taicho couldn’t hurt. And he was somewhat confident Mai might be a bit uncomfortable with how close they were getting. Soon after his thought though he would sniff the air a bit saying “Hmm…that’s a peculiar scent…aaaand it seems we’re having another dead end…” he concluded coming close to the wall of the corridor. Still, he couldn’t help but wonder…was there some kind of trick here at work? And so, he would step closer and apply some pressure to the wall, and to his mild surprise, it yielded showing them some kind of entrance. Smiling a bit wider, he would turn around, hopefully seeing some of the people behind him saying “Hey guys, it looks like the doctors will be leading you to safety tonight!” joking slightly before moving forward past the entrance…unaware that there would be no turning back from this step.

Chishio wanted out of this terror filled place, but she couldn't move, stuck to where she stood like her feet were nailed to the spot she was at. She trembled underneath the arm of Malik, fingers creasing the haori he wore. She had to get out, lest she make a fool of herself and let the Soutaicho see her cry, again. She had to be strong, but there was no helping the fear that had her chest in a vice grip.
"T-tanaka-Soutaicho... I want out of here. Now. I can't breathe."

Both eyes of the hollows looked at each man of the group of three. Baldy was pretty annoying, Skinny didn't leave any impressions to the girl, and the giant beastly man gave Kurai a slight twinge of unease. He had that shinigami feel to him. Her eyes narrowed into a glare at the larger man of the group before turning her glare at the three passage ways. Her eyes showed the bright blips of a group heading down to the right.
"Kurai-sama..." The bird flinched when he broke the rule Kurai gave him, letting out an obnoxious squawk after saying her name, making him a poor substitute parrot. "Shut it, Uddo. I'm trying to think." After a few seconds of thinking, Kurai rose a pale hand, pointing her destination straight down the middle of the three choices. "We are going this way."

Luckily, sight was the only thing taken from Ume. It was a relief to know Sengoku was still present, still there... his gentle squeeze a reminder that she still possessed touch. Also, it reassured her that he was still around, their partnership through this ride and maze dependent on the whole, rather than the individual. "No, it doesn't seem to be getting smaller to me... You'll be okay, Sengoku." She tries to console him and his growing anxiety, soon to be booted off the carriage ride and into the maze.
As the she stepped down and made her way over to the 3 pathways, she'd shrug indecisively, inquiring, "Should we try the third corridor?" She was unaware of the lurking presence in that path, the voices of everyone else pushing aside the growling along that way. Surely, Sengoku would hone in on the sound, or agree with her decision? Who knew, but it probably wouldn't end well.
Post is crappy. Sorry for being unable to post before.

NOTE: I will have to post a reply tomorrow as I have wounded myself and my bandage is not very nice and/or conducive to typing. So if you haven't posted yet, feel free to do so, or if you have, feel free to also post again and make your way to the secret smelly bonus room, since that's where I was going to put you all anyway.
Cheers.

Sengoku was grateful for Ume's words. If his eyes were tricking him, he could deal with that. He stayed close to her, mostly ignoring the other passengers in the carriage. When it was their turn to step into the maze, he frowned. Three trails, none of them promising anything good. As Biru and Taishou traveled the second trail, Sengoku turned his attention to the third trail. Something was down there. He could hear it breathing, faint but there. It was a threat to the group, and who better to deal with it than Sengoku and Ume? He glanced at Ume with her suggestion and then grit his teeth, grinning wickedly, a hunger in his eyes. "Sure. Third path it is, let's explore." He stepped forward, keeping his hands off his axe for now. "I'll take point. I think something's down there." If Ume hadn't sensed the presence, then Sengoku would have to go first. He was better suited to handle an ambush, and the big man could take a beating if he had to.
He moved slowly down the path, evening his breathing out, widening his eyes to help them grow accustomed to the darkness. He could hear the beast better now, the tunnel funneling sound in Sengoku's direction. Each step was careful, meant to make as little sound as possible. As he drew closer to the source of the growling, a new sound reached his ears: the creaking of wood and chains. He scowled and halted, bringing his hand up to warn Ume. They were close, and Sengoku wanted to be ready when the trap was sprung. He sorely missed Haiiro, knowing the dog would have been a useful asset to their journey through the maze.

"Apologies Techimaru-san," Kabelja stated to her companion. "I'm afraid my work usually leaves me confined to my office."
With that, she followed her comrade over the wall, and into the maze with her companion.
Yumi followed her partner through the tunnel, in regardless to his apparent apprehension. She smiled sweetly to him after his proposal.
"Arachnaphobia? It's perfectly ok."
After all, it was her duty to assist those in need, even if it was for such a minor thing.
After shuffling past Miroku, Yumi stood infront of him, urging him back a few paces as she drew out her dagger.
"I wish this thing was a little longer," she commented with a chuckle as she slashed at the webs on the way forward, clearing the path for her companion.
Onwards and through dark lands the pair progressed, until they had reached a dead end.
"Looks like we'd better head ba-"
A small click was heard as Yumi laid her foot on a certain trapdoor. Silence fell upon her, before the moss dropped upon her and the unlucky Citizen.
"Very well, Techimaru-san."
They had reached the one way door. Lira was about part way through, Kabelja shortly behind her. Yet at that moment a very audible high-pitched girlish scream came echoing up the pathway.
